Martyr - Hear my plea... let me suffer for your cause! Username: Sinbari Pockettu: Drake Why do they wish to follow her?: "The other Cursed gods are a waste of my time and talent," Drake states with an almost bored expression, arms crossed. He flexes his wings a little. "You are the only one I have faith in to effectively and permanently destroy the Gods. If you wish me to fight, I can fight. If you wish me to spy, I will spy. If you need me for anything else...I will serve you however I can. I consider myself a jack of all trades, after all." Anything else?: Drake tends to have an air of indifference around him, though he can get snappy if someone bothers him too much. But with the Martyr, he would do anything she asks in a heartbeat, even if the request was detrimental to his health. He seems to feed off of pain and suffering, even if it's his own.

"I wish to spread your will across the world, my Lady; whatever you want of me, it shall be done. Such a bold statement did not go unnoticed. The Martyr shifted from her perch and set her gaze upon Drake. "Flattery will not get you anywhere... but if you wish to serve me..." She outstretched a hand. "You are welcome here." Her lips curled into a smirk, faintly exposing one of her fangs. "Just make them suffer, Drake." So loyal from the beginning this girl seemed to be. "Run free and kill. Sow sorrow into their lives. Make them dread the very feeling we are faced with daily." Quickly her tail slithered forth and curled around Medeia for a brief moment. Martyr - Hear my plea... let me suffer for your cause!Username: Yousei Akki Pockettu: CaitiffWhy do they wish to follow her?: Martyr is, in Caitiff's opinion. The scariest God out of the whole lot. She terrifies him down to his little plastic core. He'd rather follow her then risk ending up in her way. Anything else?: There is a saying that it is better to rule in hell then serve in heaven. However, Caitiff thinks that ruling is far too dangerous. He'd prefer to serve in hell, where he can hide in the shadows away from the annoying revealing light. Caitiff speaks in the softest of whispers, the better to be unheard and overlooked. He has a skulking nature and tries to hide a lot. When alone he reveals a strangely eccentric playful side. By capering within the lonely places and chasing after shadows. With a glance over his shoulder, Caitiff wanders into the temple proper. He rubs his red hands against his pants to wipe off a nervous coat of sweat. His orange eyes dip around the area before he drops to a knee and awkwardly folds his hands together in prayer. "Glory and honor to you Martyr. I, Caitiff, ask for your acceptance in joining your service." He hesitates and rubs his palms together to ease some of the nervousness. 'I'm not a brave warrior, or a skilled assassin. I think all pockettu have some use and I'm sure eventually I can find a purpose to suit your ends."

Martyr - Hear my plea... let me suffer for your cause!Username: Yousei Akki Pockettu: RishiWhy do they wish to follow her?: Rishi is in a relationship with Drake, a follower of hers. His boy friend has been applying pressure for Rishi to join him in service to her. It's a bit of Rishi showing submission to Drakes desires, but also proving to Drake that he's willing to accept his lover as a cursed. Which was the biggest obstacle in their relationship when they met. Anything else?: Rishi has reservations about the whole situation. Though after seeing his brother has been cursed he's decided there is no point in trying to keep the cursed at a distance. His brother, and his own kids, are cursed. So he knows his choice is to stay uncursed and be alone, or join the cursed to be with his family. Martyr - Hear my plea... let me suffer for your cause!Username: Yousei Akki Pockettu: DervireWhy do they wish to follow her?: His father, Drake, is a follower of hers. Dervire has a huge Daddys Boy personality. He wants to be just like his father. Anything else?: Dervire has less cat like tendencies then his mother. He has a more subtle ambition, though he currently doesn't have a focus for it. Rishi entered the temple of Martyr and flicked his tail behind him. His hands slipped into his pockets as he fought off the constant urge to shiver. His fur tingled and itched at the same time. The werecat flexed his claws to try and release some of his tension through his palms. He came to a halt and looked around slowly. Not too far from Rishi, Dervire wandered in. While the elder werecat showed signs of stress, Dervire was merely curious. His head lifted up and swiveled about as he tried to take in the whole temple in just a few minutes. "Nice." He commented with a approving nod. Rishi turned to glance over his shoulder at his son. "You know. You don't need to come with me. I can do this on my own." Rishi mumbled under his breath. Dervire turned his gaze on his parent and grinned a slow sardonic smile. "I'm just curious to see if your good enough or not. Besides. It's time I came here too." Dervire stated before smugly strutting past his mother. Rishi scowled as Dervire walked to the front of the temple and dropped to his knees. Dervire took a slow deep breath, then closed his eyes and prayed. "Lady Martyr. I come seeking acceptance into your service. Like my father, I wish become one of your followers." Rishi's tail lashed behind him as he watched his son pray for acceptance. With his ears pinning back, Rishi approached the alter next and dropped down to his knees beside his son. Words did not come easily to Rishi in this situation. It was hard enough to pray to the Goddess, but it was even harder knowing his son was there listening to hear what he has to say. Rishi's eyes narrowed as he placed his hands on his knees and peered down at the floor in thought. "Martyr. My name is Rishi. I want to become a member of your followers. My boyfriend already serves you." He paused, uncertain what more to ask. Beside him he heard Dervire snicker into his folded hands. Rishi snapped his tail to whack his son with his tail. "This is serious. If you only came to laugh at my fumbling over words then you shouldn't be here at all." He hissed under his breath in rebuke. Dervire struggled to keep his face from grinning wider as he shook his head slightly. "Your asking a Goddess to accept your worship, not ordering a happy meal at a drive through. You could at least give her a reason to accept you other then 'cause my boyfriend'." Dervire retorted. Rishi sighed and shook his head slightly. "I'm not arguing with you here. Just... pray and leave me alone." Rishi muttered before glancing at the alter and waiting for some..well...any sign.

Martyr - Hear my plea... let me suffer for your cause! Username: Sinbari Pockettu: Risk Why do they wish to follow her?: Risk doesn't know much about Martyr, or other cursed gods for that matter, but the fact his dad follows her, his brother wants to follow her, and his mother is..well, attempting to give it a go, was all the motivation he needed. While his brother is a big daddy's boy, he, in turn, tends to hang on his brother's every word and action. Anything else?: He's not the brightest crayon in the batch on a good day, but he's good at taking orders. Risk was hanging back while his mother and brother wandered in; he was hoping to follow his brother's lead on well, what he should do... This was new, strange, and unlike their sheltered home life. He didn't know much of gods, or anything really going on. But if his brother was doing this, so was he. He frowned a little at the exchange between Dervire and Rishi, though; he liked his mother more than his brother did but he didn't like to say anything against his brother. Still, he finally walked further into the shrine, and came up to the two of them. "Please, brother...be easy on mother," he says quietly, as he kneels by his brother and takes a similar supplicating pose, trying not to look at anyone as he finally speaks towards this.. Martyr, wherever or whoever she was. "Martyr, I...I come to serve you like my father, and hopefully the rest of my family. We want to serve you together, to make you and your realm stronger." He hoped that sounded good enough, he had been thinking about what to say, and while he wasn't as smart, or as confident as his brother, he was proud he thought of that on his own. He was very serious, he hoped none of them would be denied, he wasn't sure he could handle being separated from any of them.

[[This is in response to Rishi. Note to everyone else -- I will reply to your posts, I just want to do so one at a time so it doesn't get overwhelming <33]] The Martyr swooped down from her perch high within the stone ceilings of the shrine. Her wings spanned out and created a large gust of wind as she landed before the family. Each one of their prayers she had listened to. And with each addition she couldn't help but let a twisted smirk cross her lips, even if just for a brief second.
"What's this...? A little family stumbled before my wake. Do you realize where the rest of your lineage lies, Rishi?" She loomed forward, easily towering over the werecat. "Do you realize that if you join me, I will never trust you? ...You will always suffer here. Endlessly." She traced the line of dots on his face with one of her claws. "As much as that suffering would please me... Declining would bring a much sweeter sorrow." She paused and waited. Perhaps the Pockettu could sway her opinion, but it would take a lot more than 'I want to be with my boyfriend', to do so. Especially considering Rishi's family she knew belonged under the Corrupter's care. She has seen the sister of Rishi a few time... the pitiful abomination of a Cursed.

Air rushed over Rishi as The Martyr descended and landed before himself and his boys. Instantly Rishi's ears snapped flat to the back of his head, and his tail fluffed up as though it were electrified. In truth he felt like he had taken a seriously dangerous jolt. Rishi had grown somewhat accustomed to the un-nerving aura that surrounded his family members. However, the mere presence that the Martyr possessed was far more powerful then what he had grown accustomed to. Rishi's first instinct, be it primal or simple common sense kicking in, told him to flee. He leaned back from Martyr as she loomed over him, and slipped off his heels and onto his backside. The line of questions posed to him was nearly missed, as Rishi honestly felt he was in danger of dropping a brick while he stared at Martyr with unabashed terror. It was the casual tracing touch of her talon across his face that caused the werecat to break free of the mental ice he was trapped in, and attempted to form a coherent reply. "I wouldn't trust me either." Rishi's voice came out strained, as if he were trying to speak with vocal chords stretched too tightly. He dryly swallowed and hoped that his fur wasn't shedding all over the shrine floor. Suffering was hardly a attractive fate, and one that he had no disillusions about. However he had reasons why he'd come here. Maybe they weren't the best ones, but they were enough to get him this far at least. "I know my mother is a knight to Antarmur'ss. And my brother is...changed. But my family isn't just them." With a hand that trembled a bit more then Rishi liked, he gestured to the two boys that had accompanied him. "I have these two..and Drake. My line is spread in different directions." Rishi hesitated as he fought back the impulse to second guess himself in this situation. "I don't...know what's going to happen in the future..but I do know...that where ever Drake goes, I want to be able to follow him..and help him. He chose you out of the other Gods for some reason, and you accepted him. So...I figure that eventually...you'll ask something of him. To do something or go somewhere, or something else I can't think of. I want to be able to go with him and help him do whatever is asked of him. I can't do that without making a commitment first." Rishi bit his tongue slightly as he tried to look away from Martyr. At least to just drop his gaze, but he found himself unable to tear his eyes away from the looming Goddess. "I don't...know what else to say. I'm here because your Drakes Goddess. I want to prove to him that I'll do what he wants because I love him. He wants me to join him. If it's not good enough of a reason I understand."

She leaned back and shrugged her wings in a mild defeat. "You are too bound by love..."
Slowly she rose to her feet, her tail flicked in Rishi's direction with all intention of bringing harm to the werecat. "You would bring more suffering to this world remaining as you are. And that is how you shall stay. Until you prove to me a more loyal reason to my cause, I do not wish to see your face again." It was one thing for a child wishing to follow their parents, but a partner to follow their lover to be better accepted? It was laughable to Martyr. Again, she swatted her tail in the direction of the werecat. "Be gone."

The tail came at Rishi faster then he could blink. He was still mentally stumbling over what martyr had said. Too bound by love? What did that mean? The werecat gave a loud yowl of pain when the tail cracked across him, and Rishi instantly curled up to shelter his face and shoulder where the tail had cut across. The Goddess did not need to repeat herself with her dismissal. Rishi moved like a bolt, finally giving in to the urge to flee her presence. He felt the breath of the second tail strike narrowly miss his back and tail as the cat ran from the temple. _________________________________________________________ Dervire struggled to stay serious. He kept his folded hands pressed to his lips to better hide the smile that threatened to overwhelm his lips. He knew it. He knew his mother wouldn't be good enough. When Martyr had first landed, he had flinched, then mentally berated himself for reacting in such a way. He was silent until it was that the Goddess turned her attention to both him and his brother. Dervire dropped his hands and pushed himself to his feet. His chin lifted up as his tail flickered behind him. "Of course I do." He answered confidently. "Even if my parents were with some other God I'd still come here. Your the Goddess I want to serve. I want to find something worth pursuing. A ambition that I know I can really sink my claws into. None of the other gods can give me that. I know I can find it with you though." ________________________________________________________________ Caitiff's eyes shot up into his hairline at his acceptance. He tried to quickly mask his surprise. The cursed bobbed his head up and down rapidly, then bowed low to Martyr as he spoke in his soft voice. "No secret will be too small, or whisper too faint for me to collect on your behalf Goddess." Still bowed, the cursed backed away, his heart hammering with anxious pride over his acceptance.

Risk had been looking anywhere but at his surroundings, and so when the whoosh sounded as Martyr swooped down, he flinched, but noticed his brother did the same, so he didn't feel TOO horrible about it. He finally had looked up as Martyr questioned his mother first, and frowned as it was obviously not going well. When the dragon struck Rishi, it took all of Risk's self-restraint (and knowing his brother would be very mad at him if he did anything) to not get up and protest the treatment of his mother. Instead, he ducked his head back down, and try to control his emotions. He heard Rishi yowl and then flee the temple, and it took all his willpower not to tremble in his spot. He was as much trying not to disappoint his brother, as the Martyr. He let his brother go first with his reply, though he already knew what he would say. When he was finished, he also got to his feet. He squared his shoulders and tried to mimic Dervire's posture, though he was obviously unnerved about the idea of his family being split up. But he had faith in his mother to be able to try again and succeed, even if his brother didn't. "I do," he replied. "You are strong, and I was serious when I said I wanted to help strengthen your realm. We will do all we can," he continues, looking at his brother with a smile. His brother was strong like father, he knew that. He hoped working for Martyr would widen his horizons and help him be more like brother and father. And he hoped for all the world that his mother would be able to join them soon.

The Martyr watched as Rishi fled from the shrine. A cruel smirk couldn't help but snake its way onto her dark lips. Her eyes darted to the two children who now stood before her alone without their 'Mother'. She listened to each one stating they will still follow her regardless. "Very well... but disappoint me and your fate shall be worse than your Mother's. Now.. go forth and spread our suffering.. Make me proud." She turned to Caitiff and nodded. He was rather timid at times but he would be perfect for what she had in mind. Infiltrating the Pockettu, making them second guest all the Cursed. Gaining whatever information she might need, no matter how trivial or not.
