((For people not familiar with the mazoku: the mazoku are evil plain and simple. The angeni killed Lord Ruby Eyes to put an end to his reign of terror and destruction and save many lives. It was not an act of evil or violence but an act of self defense. Angeni are not evil or violent. The mazoku ARE though.))
Once her vision cleared Liliel understood exactly what had happened. Before her stood a mare with four wings. A creature known as an angeni. Liliel bristled and let her claws dig into the ground in fury. Angeni were the bane of the mazoku. It had been angeni that had put an end to Lord Ruby Eyes all that time ago. It had been angeni that had led to the decline of the mazoku. Now it was an angeni standing between her and her quarry and she wouldn't stand for that.
"Angeni." She snarled making a show of scraping deep lines into the earth with her claws. She was almost certainly outmatched but that wouldn't stop her from trying. "You're interrupting our game. Why? Is your domain that of spoil-sports and kill-joys?" Liliel snickered but she was having a difficult time hiding her worry. It was now two against one if the blonde mare would stop hiding and it would be difficult taking on an angeni alone. Not impossible but very complicated without preparation. Trying to fight both of them would be nearly impossible.

Camilla's eyes drifted once more to those claws. Sharp enough to pierce the skin of the world and the hide of a horse. Camilla would have to avoid those at all costs. It wouldn't be too difficult. She could fly. The other mare had wings as well but they didn't look suited for staying airborne for extended periods of time. She wasn't the only one Camilla had to worry about though. Her red eyes glanced over her shoulder to where the regular, earth-bound, mare stood. Camilla could not leave her defenseless. It went against everything she stood for.
"It didn't look like a game." Camilla finally replied dryly not caring for the poorly conceived joke. She had no domain. She had been born of the earth and while both her parents were entirely angeni she was not pure enough to have one of her own. That did not, however, make her any less suited to protect. Even if she was tired she could still do this.

"It wasn't." Oakley snorted from her place behind her protective shield. "Look what she did to me leg!" She lifted her injured leg to display the wound in case the blood and red stripes through her flesh weren't good enough clues. "You should teach her a lesson! Make sure she stays away!" Oakley encouraged glaring at the purple mare around the angeni. She was fully aware that she was acting childish but she hardly cared. She wanted to be freed of that wretched hunter once and for all and if that meant prodding an angeni into doing away with the monster then so be it.

Liliel practically purred hearing the blonde mare mention the injury that Liliel had caused. It was enough of a problem that she felt the need to bring it up. Liliel had done good work even if she hadn't managed to finish the job. "I was so sure we were playing hunter and prey though." Liliel goaded with a smirk. This definitely wasn't going to go her way but it didn't look like it would go the blonde mare's way either. She wanted her gone for good, as in dead, but unless Liliel did something rather impressive at that very second she doubted the angeni would have the guts to do something so bloody as murder.
Oh well. If she was just going to get run off she might as well take a few more cheap shots. "Are you just going to let her use you like a shield? You know that if I attack she's just going to run off and leave you to die. She likes to run. She's spineless and ungrateful like that."

Camilla had not forgotten about the injury the mare had sustained, it was a large part of the reason why she was still there. It had made it more than clear that there was real trouble afoot. She didn't, however, like the way the victim was speaking. She sounded almost as spiteful as the one that had attacked her. Camilla frowned. This was not quite the situation she had thought she was racing into.
Duty was duty though so she closed her eyes, breathed deep, and summoned the light from within her. She began to glow faintly as she formed a ball of light before her, a silent promise to chase the purple mare away with force if she needed to. "Everyone deserves to be safe from villains, even the cowardly." Camilla replied giving Liliel a sharp look. In her mind she added, and even the foul-tempered.

Oakley's ears burned with humiliation at the insult. She was certainly not spineless! She simply had a strong desire to live. That wasn't being spineless, that was being sensible. If people wanted to risk their necks for her that was their business. She wasn't going to lose sleep over what happened to them over it. They volunteered themselves after all.
"I only ran from you because you were trying to kill me!" She snapped back just as the mare started to glow. Oakley took three steps backwards and stared. She had heard about this ability to make light from nothing but seeing it was startling and a bit freaky. There was a little ball of light hovering in the air. It was like a tiny sun brought down to the world. Bizarre was a good word for it but at least it meant that Oakley would be safe soon. That mare could be as freaky as she wanted to if it got Oakley what she wanted.
