While his legs still refused to move him in any direction than where he was, Kyran cautiously watched as Urban divvied up his priorities and points of anger. The darkrai couldn't tell where the mental state was tempted to head in, but at least the teen was adept at directing it to the situation itself; that at least ensured that the boy didn't have to worry about his own well-being, unless Jayme said anything misinformed upon waking up...
Kyran held his breath once Jayme's consciousness returned to him, a colorful array of negative-spectrum emotions hitting him at once. He'd easily chock it up to being on his guard, but it wouldn't have saved him had worries concluded true, especially if Jayme ended up falling short of 'okay.' Truth was, the teddiursa looked anything but, and considering the frailty of his appearance, very well could have taken permanent damage, for all the child really knew. But he didn't know. He had never been hit with moves like those exhibited by Urban -- scarcely hit by moves at all -- and although he was quite aware of pokémon pit-battles, didn't know what it might do to a changed pokémon. Not only that, but Jayme was defenseless, in practically all senses of the word. Did he have any defenses against this sort of thing at all?
He jolted a bit when Urban turned Kyran's way, unable to find an adequate way to react to what Jayme was saying about the evening's recent events. The teen... sounded okay, fully coherent, and that was all the reassurance the child honestly needed in regards to his health; he acted similarly when he had fallen down the forest embankment, the first time they met, as a matter of fact. However, he was just as surprised as Urban was at his take on the whole ordeal. He sounded so sure of himself, but didn't realize what might have caused such a thing to occur. If Kyran hadn't been so sure of the contrary, he would have thought this sort of thing happened more often than this single night, but initial reactions to the scene said otherwise.
And... what was this about being his friend? Every time Jayme had said that word, it was in reference to Urban, but now... His grip on the staff tightened, feeling like something cold clenched at his chest to the realization. No no, this was bad, this was very bad. He wasn't supposed to get attached to anyone, and he sure as hell wasn't supposed to get anyone else attached to him!
He hesitated when Urban spoke to him again, realizing with a start that he hadn't noticed the teen stand. Finally, he was being let off the hook for the whole fiasco, and yet he bristled to the end of the aggron's statements. To make sure... There was a twinge, and the words sprang forth as though by instinct, "I should be headed off, it's gotten late." Perhaps it was the reassurance Jayme was trying to invoke in that nearly-missed smile, but Kyran flinched then and quietly added, "But..." The words wouldn't come, but he was still worried about the collateral damage. This wasn't how tonight was meant to happen...
His steps were careful, masking the technique he used to move, and neared Urban and Jayme a little further. It was only going to be a little longer, and then he was out of here. He truly hoped Jayme was not as delicate as he appeared, but if he was masking how injured he really was behind that smile... Inwardly, Kyran winced, Damn you if you're lying!

It was easy to see that Urban had in no way expected the words that came from Jayme's mouth about what had caused his injuries. He had done this? Really? What in the hell had he been thinking? Or had he even been thinking?
That Jayme called the strange kid his friend made Urban wonder. How did Jayme know this boy? Neither gave a name and he was in no frame of mind to actually pretty for this detail. No he was sort of rattled.
"Urban it is late, and I'm tired. We should go back to camp and sleep and he can get back home and do the same. Stop being grumpy." there was a gentle chide to the Teddiursa's voice, but at Kyran nearing, Jayme's head turned towards the sound and he gave another smile given to the boy.
Urban relented after a moment, a sharp nod given. "Alright. Back to camp we go. Nice to meet you kid." he sounded dubious on how nice it really was, but now was not the time for semantics. He wanted to check Jayme over and make sure he wasn't hiding any injuries, his mind following a similar path to Kyran's on that being a possibility. No, best to make sure.

It was not missed that it was in Kyran's best interests to head out as soon as possible, or that he might not get another chance if he lingered. Jayme was distracted enough by his insistence to feign his own condition (probably) and Urban was much too disoriented by the rattling news to assess the situation in greater depth. After all, it was obvious that the darkrai knew something about what just happened, but he also preferred staying in one piece. If Urban was letting him off the hook, if Jayme was ignorant about the ordeal enough to allow it, then it was best not to let either of them think twice on the decision to let him walk.
Besides, no matter how wrapped up in this dangerous situation he truly was, he was expected to break free of it and never look back. The darkrai caused brief mayhem, and then vanished, never to be heard from again. Running into Jayme for a second time was coincidence, sure, but that was all the more reason he had to break all ties, before it escalated into an even larger issue. Jayme still didn't even know who Kyran was, what Kyran was, but the longer he stuck around, the more likely it was that such inconspicuousness would be torn away. At least the night was overcast, or appearances might have hinted a little better at the danger he truly posed.
He had a mild sense of concern, sure, but in the end, it really wouldn't do to worry about it. What happened after he left was not his problem, for it wouldn't impact him in any way. He was never going to see them again. Besides, Urban probably knew what he was doing and how to handle this situation, Kyran would have only been in the way if he tried to help...
Kyran shrunk away at Jayme's smile, further into the darkness as they concluded it time for sleep. "Safe travels," he responded, turning around and making his slow progress back to the forest beyond, towards home.
As quickly as he could, he broke eye contact, but it only caused the weight of the event to come rushing back. The consequences were too numerous to count. He'd been an idiot for stepping into that mess! When Jayme had called out to him, he could have just turned around and left! He breathed a shaky sigh, Maybe Kiara was right...
