Cirrus didn't mean to ignore Paper Lantern and his cup, but even as both the boys asked, his mind was still busy working through what Mooncake’s fortune. Nose deep the same cup; he continued to turn it, murmuring to himself as he puzzled through one particular stubborn clump of leaves that would not give its meaning over. One second it was a skull and the next a bouquet of roses. How frustrating.

Paper's wings fell just a little as the older phony kept staring and turning Mooncake's cup but he smiled at his brother. "You're fortune must be super amazing, he's studying it so thoroughly! How lucky!" His eyes fell to his cup and he started quietly pondering what mysteries were in his leaves.

Mooncake's eyebrows furrowed as the adult continued to focus on his cup. Sure the little colt was curious to know what was so interesting in his future that the adult was so concerned with, but he didn't like Paper being left out. The flutter cast a worried glance at his brother and frowned deeply at what he saw.
"Hey. I don't really care about my fortune. Paper is the one that really wanted to know. If mine is really so interesting then you can get back to it later." A lie, he had definitely been the one to insist this trip. He hoped his brother could perk up with this small fib.

Surprised, Paper looked at his brother and smiled. Giving him an affectionate little wing bump, he felt better. But then he started waving his little hooves frantically. "Nononnonono! You're already reading Mooncake's! Finish his! He couldn't stop talking about how excited he was to come here and get our fortunes done and I can wait, really!"

Cirrus blinked. "Oh..." He moved Mooncake's cup aside slowly. "Just don't... don't go swimming this week." His gaze focused momentarily on Paper Lantern as he offered an apologetic smile. "I'm very sorry, sometimes I get distracted..." Then he was gone again, looking into Paper's future. "Arm pointing down, bat, bottle, cup... alright, Paper was it? You need to motivate yourself because life will grow busy soon and if you hit it head on you're reap great rewards. There may be some interactions in future that have... explosive atmospheres... but you have to be patient and not let it bother you. And you have a good heart, so listen to your intuition. Love will find you eventually, as long as you're ready to grab it."

"Done," Mooncake nodded curtly and crossed his hooves as Cirrus turned his attention to his brother's cup. With a glance to his brother he was content, happy to see that his brother was being treated fairly and not left out. It was good that his brother's fortune seemed to be relatively happy. He'd have to see about tricking the "explosive" phonies into thinking he was some tough brother that could beat them up if they messed with paper. Maybe he'd cite Hercules' feats as his own? Although it would certainly seem farfetched. Something more believable he supposed.

Paper sat quietly for a few minuets after his fortune was read, pondering everything that Cirrus had told them. "So...it sounds like I have to help you through a lot of struggles and stuff so you can get stronger." he smiles at his brother "But! You help me with the exploding phony." he pauses, considering the implications of that. "I hope the phony that explodes would be ok though..they will be won't they? Did the leaves say that?" Paper props himself onto the table to stare into his cup.

Cirrus had settled back in his chair and was watching them both with a fond smile. "Oh, they don't say... I'd have to read that persons leaves too." He was quiet for a moment, before adding, "but I'm sure everything will be fine." Of course, he wasn't sure, but if that put their minds at ease, so be it.

Mooncake snickered and nodded, "I would never let somephony explode on you. Mama would be so mad when you came home covered in exploded phony goo." He made a tutting noise with his tongue as he shook his head, amused. "I suppose if anyone looks like they're going to explode then i'll do my best to bring them on over. Maybe if i had a magic paintbrush i could somehow draw a lasso on them..." He murmurs for a moment, getting side tracked.
"Ah... Thank you Mister Cirrus. I hope the gods Fukurokuju and Benzaiten smile down on you." He giggles, bangs falling across his face. "I don't think you'll need the other five."

Paper continued to peer anxiously into the cup but looked up when Cirrus assured him that everything would be fine. Well..if he thought it would be...then it must be so. The blue flutter had no idea what in the world Mooncake was talking about of Fukuwhatits or Benzasneeze, but one part did stick out to him. "Ah yes, thank you Cirrus for the tea and the readings." he bowed his head. "If any of what you told us comes true I'm going to come tell you right away!" His little tail swished happily. Ruriska I think Cirrus can wrap it up by thanking them for coming or telling them that their fortunes have been read and time for the next costumer etc ^^

“You’re both very welcome. You’re welcome to come back any time.” There was an odd tap-tapping at the window and Cirrus glanced over, noticing the bird on the sill before it flew off. “You boys should be on your way now. My next customer will be here soon.” And with a smile he slipped off his chair to usher them both out, proud to have been of service in charting their future. RP Complete

Imperial Ink stepped over the two flutter colts as they came out of the Happy Cup Fortune shop. What're they doing here, he wondered, craning his neck to watch the two of them walking away, talking among each other. Exhaling, he turned back and slipped through the door without knocking. He didn't want to be seen going into such a place like a fortune teller, it would knock points off his reputation. Fortune telling was something mares and babbys did for fun in a afternoon. Still he was desperate for anything to help him get his head on right, even if it was this. " 'Allo..? Excuze me..Ze door waz open zo I juzt came in..."

"I've been expecting you," Cirrus said airily, waving Ink further inside. "Take a seat and I'll get the tea." It was always nice to have a hunch proven right. Without waiting to see what his guest would do or say next, he began clearing the table and then wandered into the kitchen to prepare another pot of tea.

Ink raised an eyebrow. He was...expected? "Ah...ah...? Uhm..zank..you...?"The purple stallion looked around the room as he sat, taking in the decorations and furnishings. He felt uncomfortable surrounded but all the rich trappings. If he were there with Moth or Cootie, he'd feel less silly. Moth and Cootie..ughh, it was their faults he was in this place to begin with.

Cirrus returned a few moments later, putting the teapot in the middle of the table to brew. Then he settled himself back in his chair and smiled at Ink. "So... are you here for anything in particular?" He asked.
