He was not expecting much to be honest but her choice had him clamping his mouth shut before his first thought slipped out as words. Nodding and stepping to the side, indicating with his head for her to follow. His home was nothing special, it had just been him for a long time.

Not sure where to take her he trailed the stream for a while before heading away from it, over a marshy area that had never bothered him really thanks to his kirin heritage but that was deep and squelchy enough to make it troublesome for her. Heading for the more solid ground so she could walk more easily. Not sure if she had noticed that he didn't sink into the water much.

Deciding to keep her away from his home home as the words he was still keeping trapped inside might sneak out and there was really not many ways that they could be taken, it could be a threat, it could be flirting it could be a warning but it wasn't somthing most would think of as friendly.

Luana waited till he reacted and though he didn't say anything, she assumed the choice was something he agreed with. With a smile on her face she set off following after him, watching his tail sway behind him, studying the heart shape end as they stayed beside the stream for a short while.

She thought that considering his tail was a Kalona trait and they were meant to be evil, that it was too pretty to be a true story. How could something so awful, be so beautiful? He was truly an eyesore and it was only then it occurred to her that they might be created to be so alluring. To work in their favor.

The silence was too eerie. It gave her too much time to think but she was doing her best to push the ill thoughts out of her mind. Frowning every time it crept in to her mind. Then the marsh appeared and he lit up the swamp like the moon in the night. Another beautiful thing about him. Her observations weren't helping.

He was passing the marsh with ease and here she was, every step getting stuck heavily in to the mud. Her back hoof was entirely stuck. She looked around her side at it and moaned, tugging it furiously. It made a popping sound when it came undone and she sighed with irritation. Making another step, her front hoof got stuck and this time she couldn't help herself.

"This is ridiculous!" She cried out, staring at her hoof intently cased in a sloppy mold."Let me go!" Though the earth wasn't going to listen to her and looking over at Crow and the flat ground not too far away, she gave a huff to the feeling of defeat. "How do you do this everyday?"

He quirked an eyebrow, and lifted a hoof, his feet being different helped, they spread more than hers, not sinking so deeply when he did sink into the mud. As it was he usually didn't have to go this slowly so he could flit across the deeper parts with more though limited ease. "I just do." Walking over to her, having left some hoof prints where the ground was better for walking. "There are many hidden paths." Moving behind her and giving a steady push to help her out the mud, using his chest as he had scales and protuberances on other parts that might be better suited.

Moving forward behind her till she was on the steady ground then moving past to lead the way. Though even like this he didn't have much mud on him unlike her legs. Leading her through some trees, following the path that he seemed to know well. Pausing to look at her, seeming to be debating some things in his mind, finding the silence uncomfortable himself as it pressed on. "As questions, you seem a curious one."

Resuming walking, keeping to the slightly soggy but solid ground, there logs and branches making a kind of path trodden into the ground to help add to the stability, tough with the mud and grass and weeds on top that wasn't visible. Leading the long way around his home, not wanting to show that for some reason, though soon they came to an area that he classed as his eater garden, less trees, more water, the visible water was a lovely blue in the day, glow bugs and water lillys and other plants were all over the place. Even a few fruit trees were visible off to the side on what looked to be more path.

"Thank you." She muttered, a little embarrassed about getting stuck and needing his help a second time. He must of thought she was completely helpless. Some kind of lost little lamb but at least she was a lost little lamb that actually had a bite when it was needed!

She looked behind at him as she moved on to the flat, seeing him following behind to make sure she didn't get stuck again before she moved her gaze to the area they were wandering towards. She had just got cleaned and now, she was coated in dirt again. She looked down at her legs, no longer clean and heavenly white and rolled her eyes. She could never remain clean for too long. Having such a beautiful coat was a curse when living in these surroundings.

She looked up when she noticed he was looking at her and blinked a couple of times at him, pausing in her steps. Then nodded. "I am. I haven't seen right much outside of my home, so as you can imagine. I find quite a lot of things fascinating. Including you." She nodded with a smile, continuing to follow him when he moved on once more.

She liked the ground here, she felt much more able and capable of remaining on her feet and being able to move around without worries of getting stuck and falling over. Though it soon became clear that the dark, miserable quilt of the swamp opened up to a gorgeous Haven. It was inspiring, beautiful and she felt so meaningless compared to it's glow.

She gasped to show her amazement and trotted forward, moving her head to look closely at everything. The water, how clear it was and the lilies and the other flowers. It was so colourful and bright. She had never seen anything like it.

"This is your home?" She asked. "It's absolutely beautiful." She really was astonished, her eyes were attracted to something juicy looking and it reminded her of her fathers orchard and couldn't help but smile warmly.

He stood still again, it was more obvious here what was path and what was not, letting her look around and gasp and do whatever it was guests and females did in such times, he didn't really know but he too found he appreciated the beauty of this area, its why he made his home here, it was his. "It is the water garden." Not adding that if you knew what you were looking for you could see his home from here, but to most who had no idea it looked like a very big fallen tree with another couple of trees groing over or through it, though twilight and night time were not good times to view his home.

Luana turned her head to look at him, she was a little miffed by his words. This was only his garden... That made sense but if this is how well kept and nurtured his garden was, what would his actual home be like? She wouldn't pry in to that, nesting grounds were a private thing and that was something she knew and could understand. She wasn't about to go waltzing in to that part of his home.

"How long do you spend attending to this place?" She asked this because she wondered if it was simply made as a blessing by nature or if he actually did spend time making it look so perfect. It must of been hard to maintain if he did have to put the time in to it and knew she wouldn't feel as if she had enough time in the day if she had to focus on a garden like his.

Not with spending time with family, training and exploring.

She walks over to the water and dips her head to its surface to gently touch the petal of the water lily, flicking her tail behind her. She studied the reflection in it, her hair wayward and rebellious from the earlier dip she took in the pool to clean off.

He watched her in the lovely surroundings he had decided to claim as his. "I don't, I chose to be here because on this place... I find I need something lovely to look at..." His eyes more on her when he said this though they wandered after that. "There is a little ledge by those grasses to your left that will let you rinse your legs again if you want."

Moving away from her again, not far, but far enough, not sure what to do with himself, looking over the water, enjoying the waterlillies and the fireflies. Those and the moon really the only light other than the stars. Sighing to himself thinking he should not have brought her here.

Lifting her head she looks around to Crow and nods at his words. "I thought not." She let out a cute little giggle. "It would be very time consuming if you had to do gardening everyday but even so, the thought amuses me." And it did. She could imagine him having some sort of trinket which held water, holding it in his mouth and pouring it on the flowers one at a time.

It was an adorable picture, one she wouldn't be disposing of any time soon. Her eyes switched from him to the ledge he was talking about. She frowned without meaning to. She was torn at the idea. She felt like she stood out as a huge mess all muddy again and that she was an offense to stand in such glamour and beauty but at the same time, she would ruin the clear crystal waters with her filth.

Decisions, decisions...

Looking at him again, seeing that he wasn't that far away but had moved further away from where he was previously she gave a sigh. "If you don't mind... I suppose I best live up to the nature of your garden." She heads over to the grassy ledge and one at a time dipped her legs in, leaning her head down to bite at them and rub off the mud with her nose. Like a bird preening it's feathers.

"You don't have to stray so far away from me, I think privacy is already out of the equation." She laughs lightly, stopping mid-cleaning to look at a firefly buzzing around her antenna. She twitches them carefully while she watches it dance.

He nods and shrugs, somethign time consuming probably wouldn't be too bad of a thing, it wasn't like he had anyone that would notice if he was around less. "Maybe I should take up tending to it..." Finding a spot that had clearly often been used and settling on it, looking out over the water, his tail curled around him a little as his eyes lower to the heart on the tip. So unlike a normal kalona tail, he wasn't sure if the heart was deceptive in that it made him appear safer than a normal kalona, or if it was a tribute to his lacking.

Picking up a stick in his teeth he drew a normal arrow shaped kalona tail, sighing and going back to looking out over the lillypads, teh fireflies leaving him alone for the most part. "I would have thought a young lady would wish for privacy, you seem oddly bold around a strange male. What if I decided to keep you because of your boldness?" Pressing his teeth together, he should have kept quiet, those words escaped and now she would think him mad or some other such. Maybe even run for her life, though if she went off the path it could well be her demise, after all only the part around his home was obvioulsly path, the rest was a gamble.

Finishing up cleaning, she nods when he talks about tending to the garden and lifts herself to full height to turn and make her way over to him again. It would be good for him to tend to the garden if he is as lonely as he makes himself out to be. It would occupy his time but she couldn't help but feel for him, it was sad to have to resort to gardening because of lack of company.

She was company and she was enjoying his. She wouldn't be opposed to visiting more often if he enjoyed hers too. She felt like she had made a new friend at least, she hoped he felt the same way too. Especially if they were to share the same swamp, just the opposite sides. She wasn't exactly certain Dae would share her delight on the matter if he were ever to find out that someone else lived as close as Crow did. That could get messy. She tried not to think too much about that.

She narrowed her head downcast to look at his drawing, making sure she wasn't too close to step on it and tilted her head to the side when she began studying the picture. It was like his tail but not quite. The end was different. Was that what a normal Kalona tail looked like?

"Keep me?" She flashed her eyes at him and laughed lightly. "What do you mean, like a pet?" That was an odd question but she took it playfully, rather than seriously. Feeling flattered that somebody would want her around that much. It answered her earlier question to their friendship. "For my boldness? Is that a good thing?" She wasn't so sure but she moved around his picture to lay by his side.

"Is that the tail your father had?" She asks, moving her leg to tap her hoof carefully by the side of his picture once she had nestled comfortably in to position on the ground. "It's not as lovely as yours."

He nodded at her question, his gaze going back to the drawing. "Yes, my fathers tail was like that." Thinking over her question he sighed. "Boldness can be provocative, many want something that they cant or shouldn't have. You are bold, trusting, maybe a little naive... You are learning to defend yourself but there is always something or someone bigger and more skilled. Its better to avoid getting into the situation where you need to fight than to fight yourself out of it..."

Huffing, shaking his head, he was sounding like a father or big brother, this was definitely far too weird for him, he was usually on the side of taking advantage of such situation not cautioning against them.

His tail flicking into view again, looking at it, watching as he flattens te heart on the ground where he could see it. Grabbing a mouth full of grass and dropping it on his tail to hide the tip, really starting to wonder what was wrong with him.

Luana nudged him with her shoulder. "Are you being size-st?" She joked with him. It was a worry, she was only small so if someone did decide to pick her for dinner that day it would cause a problem but she wouldn't let them eat her without testing her skills first. She wasn't about to let size get in the way of defending herself. That didn't matter, it was the way you go about it rather than the strength and natural advantages you have.

She appreciated hearing about the things that made her who she was, what he had observed of her since they met but her mother had always been a naive little flower and whereas she wasn't strong or too bright she made up for in being kind and caring and she would of liked to think where she lacked she made up for it in a similar way.

"Hopefully I'll never find myself in one of those situations you speak of and if it does happen, I might just charm my way out of being eaten!" She laughs again looking at him with a grin. She wasn't good at lingering on serious topics, something she was starting to find out unless it was a personal matter that required serious attention but her safety as of right now, wasn't much of a concern to her. She was in good hands, or so she believed.

She looked at his tail when he flicked it about and watched as he covered it hiding it from view. Was he ashamed of what he was? She frowned, leaned her head forward and poked his cheek with her nose to grab his attention. "Hey.." She uttered, shaking her head at him. "You don't need to hide what you're. Not around me."

He couldn't help it, he started to chuckle, shaking a little his head lowering, resting it on the ground, not able to help it, the idea that being eaten was all she had to worry about was the icing on te cake, she really was naive. "I think you should maybe bring it up with your parents if you don't know." Relaxing a little, thinking she was clearly to young for such a conversation with anyone but her parents.

He lifted his head as he stopped chuckling, looking at her, his smile and laughter having faded. He wasn't about to explain his issues to her, he had so far failed to get her to take it seriously that he was actually not as nice as he seemed, short of attacking her. Maybe he was lonely and this was his way of telling himself that. He sighed again, looking up at the sky.
PostPosted: Sun Jul 14, 2013 12:38 pm

She lifted her brow at him as he chuckled in his amusement of her, it was the first time she had heard him let out any kind of laughter. "If I really don't know wha-" She paused mid sentence, in that moment realising exactly what he was hinting at. "OH y-you mean THAT" Her cheeks went a deep shade of red and her nerves fueled with panic. She never really talked about it and didn't feel comfortable talking about it.

That would happen when it happened, no pervert was going to get his grimy hooves on her before she allowed such a thing to happen! NO WAY.

She huffed and turned her eyes to the ground, away from him, puffing out her cheeks. She wasn't that sheltered, thankfully. She just hadn't encountered a meeting which involved being that intimate with someone. That was all. Was that so wrong??? Her mind was working over time on that bombshell.

When she braved taking a glimpse of him, she noticed he was staring at her. She was still all hot and bothered, he cheeks still representing a toads and they weren't going to deflate any time soon. He looked to the sky and she looked to the water. Both ending up in a lingering silence.

He sighs again. "Its ok you know." He looked back to her feeling bad for embarrasing her to silence. "I am sorry." Yeah he had lost it, he was actually sounding contrite, and he hadn't actually done anything wrong. Why was he even bothering? He wasn't her protector, and he had been acting odd since he saw her as a muddly little bug by his stream. Closing his eyes and taking a breath before looking at her again. His blank eyes on her again. "You are a lovely young mare, and in teh list of bad things that could happen, I don't have death at the top. There are some thigns you can live through that are worse." Not that he knew that first hand but he could think of some pretty nasty non leathal things that he would prefer to die than live through.

And he still didn't know why he was telling her things like this, flicking the grass off his tail his waved it in front of her a little. "You see this as lovely, others would see a threat, some might try to kill me... I see a muddy bug, another might see a meal, someone else might have other ideas... You just need to be careful, and I'm done talking, its not my place to say these thigns I just can't seem to keep out of your business. So again I am sorry." Shutting up he went back to looking over the lake and up at the sky.
