"That doesn't sound too bad. I'm alright with fishing, so long as I can keep having as much luck as we did today." Besides, he didn't think he'd make a good cook. Aatami wasn't one to get too close to flames, as fire tended to freak him out a bit. At least it was better than open water, though, but still...
"Woah, Chism!" Aatami openly gaped, his voice louder than it had been all evening. "You-You're really, really good at this, huh?" How long had Chism been fishing? Would he get that good, if he practiced?
It was kind of...sad to see him, now, though. Thinking about Chism leaving that quickly, and by himself was odd. Aatami had to stop himself from saying anything, though. The other boy seemed like he had things figured out, and probably wouldn't want to hang around them much longer, anyway.
"You can stay til you're full, you know. We won't bite." Aatami smiled, bending to help prep the rest of the fish. Well, maybe Truffles, but that wasn't important. "Thank you for your help today, Chism."

Managing a little smile, Truffles felt a little better. At least Aatami knew how to fish now. Yet, luck had never really been on their side.
Looking over at Aatami's exclamation, her own eyes widened slightly. That was a lot of food... Looking between the two boys, she sighed and waved a hand. "Promise I won't bite. You can sit." While she still wasn't too fond of the yellow child, she could tell Aatami was enjoying having another kid around to talk to. Besides... he really was good at catching food. "By the time we get it all cooked, it'll be time to get back anyway. Not much longer."

Chism couldn't help but smile at Aatami's exclamation and gave a slight shrug. "I've had time to get some practice in, and this stretch of the river seems to be particularly good for fishing. It would be good to remember this place." for all of them really. He looked dubious at Aatami's offer to stay and eat till he was full, but when Truffles gave the okay he relaxed a little more, and seemed to become more settled in his spot, and not ready to jump up at a moments notice. "Thank you." he gave them both a smile as he began to eat the fish he'd cooked for himself. "I'll be okay with one, maybe two more. You two can cook and take the rest."

Looking between the two of them put Aatami's mind at ease. There was no real connection between the two as of yet, but he had faith. Truffles hadn't run him off with a stick yet, and Chism didn't seem close to it either, so that was a good day!
"We can't eat all of it, Chism." Okay, so they could, but not right now. "How about after it's cooked we split it three ways? That way you'll have something to eat this evening and tomorrow morning. Better than having to get out again, huh?"

Giving the fish a few turns, Truffles lifted it off the fire and let it cool a moment before pulling it off. She speared the next and set it to cook while she ate. There was so much... Surely she could have a few and Aatami would still have plenty for himself.
She looked over at the pile again, and debated for a few seconds before nodding. "Should be enough to split." She looked over at her brother. "You make sure you eat as much as you want. Fish will make the shack smell too much if we try to keep it for too long." Being used to not eating very much by now, her own belly was beginning to feel full. It was a good sensation. (( thinking we're about ready to wrap this up? 83 ))

Chism gave Aatami something akin to a smile and nodded his head. "That sounds fair enough. Thank you." this brought a slightly more visible smile to his face. "It'll be best while its still warm. Your sister is right in that you should eat as much as you want right now. I don't mind if there's not much, or even nothing left to split. Being full now is good." he finished his one fish, and did reach for a second with a relaxed sort of sigh. The girl was...interesting. Kept him on his toes and the boy....well he wasn't entirely sure what to make of him, but he was someone he wouldn't mind getting to know better so that was something he figured. ((I think we are!))

Aatami nodded pleasantly, laying his hands on another fish as he went. It was nice to be able to have enough food in ones stomach to make them tired, and even a little bloated. For once he didn't feel on edge while eating, dreading that last bite because he knew there wouldn't be anymore.
"Well, I don't think I can handle anymore, so we may have a chunk left over." He laughed lightly. When all was said and done, Aatami waited til the others were finished up with their meals before splitting the fish into three separate piles. After finding a couple big leaves, he tied off the piles into packages, handing one over to Truffles, and the other, with a smile of gratitude to Chism. "Thanks for all of your help today. I hope you get back home safe."
Aatami reached for the fishing poles, then one of the fish packages before turning to his sister. "Ready?"LAST FROM ME. 8D
