Mirrors. So many mirrors. They were kind of horrible, in their way, and Manyara bared her teeth at them. Though it was kind of cool to suddenly be surrounded by her own sharp teeth...
She moved forward, refusing to be distracted by her own movements; she focused to a razor point, and in minutes was free of the madness of infinite reflection.

She leapt into the pile of plastic contemptuously, only for it to come alive around her - like a tempest of quicksand. She snorted. She was of Famine - this hazard was of no consequence compared to the blaze of their stalking grounds. She stroked cleanly to the ladder, but as she paused to take hold the direction of rotation shifted and pulled her away again.

Grimly, but with a faint grin - this was sort of a fun challenge - Manyara moved for the ladder once more. Yet again, her fingertips brushed the ladder but she lost her grip.

She dimly heard a voice over the grind of plastic, and then glitter sparkled down onto her. Really? She was going to eat that gnome when she was done here.

Darren crossed his arms and pinched his nose for a moment. "Simply, I'm over here!" He waved a hand before looking over at what she was looking at. Okay - he'd admit that it was mildly amusing. Regardless, she needed to move forward not get stuck. "Come on - don't you want to get to that slide?"

She kicked forward, but the glitter was scraping on her skin and throwing her off. And then Manyara went down, spat out of the machine with swirl of bright sparkles.
She looked up at the gauntlet and spat in front of it - not as a gesture of contempt though. As a promise to return.

Simply stared a moment longer before her ears perked at hearing her name and glanced over at Darren who was, thankfully trying to steer her in the right direction. Especially with the topic be brought up. "RIGHT!" And with her goal once more firm in mind, she took a quick look to the tiles and bounced along with... surprising ease.
Right, when it didn't break she could do this. She just needed someone to tell her where to go. So then... "We have to get to that slide still!" She chimed happily as she pranced up over to Darren after finishing with the tiles.
Well then! Onward! "Wonder what's next!"

Darren entered the next hallway and blinked for a moment. He took his time to wander around, only at some point he managed to get turned around in the hallway and ended up back right where he started. Ooookay.

Simply had followed Darren in, she really had. They'd both gone into the maze sort of moving along. She'd even taken the chance to follow him since he was ahead. They could get through this at the same time. Or not. "Uh..." She squinted at the rather familiar door before them a moment before wagging her tail back and forth as she looked back at the mirrors.
"Could be wrong... but isn't that the entrance?" Why had he led them both back there? Hmmmnnn... "Let's go back that way?" She offered, lightly indicating in one direction. You know. Because mirrors. It was all the same.

"Navigation is difficult with only one eye," Darren mentioned weakly as he again turned around headed back the "other" way. He slowly walked, looking over at the mirrors. It was funny seeing himself reflected back in a few ways. Some of the mirrors even made him look more off than usual - and he wasn't sure why that amused him so. Darren had never been one for mirror really. He started to make faces at them - since that seemed like the thing to do. When the mirror winked back at him he blinked, and turned his head. "Okay... focus..." he slapped his own cheek a little. "Where is that jack-blasted exit..."

"Never knew..." She stated, her tone purely innocent. Actually, at that point she closed one eye and tried walking around, bumping into a mirror as she tried to adjust to the odd area. In her attempts to try out seeing things how Darren did she'd managed to lose him.
Likely not noticing it was time to make faces at the mirrors. Oh well, she had things to do.
And mirrors to walk into. Another light bonk and she rubbed at her nose a bit as she opened her eye and turned a corner. Only to find herself at the entrance to the next area.
WELL! "DARREN! FOUND IT!" Was the loud cry that the boil would hear at that point as she spun on her heel and tried to spot him. Sadly all she had was her own reflection in the mirrors as she stood there. Oh hey, her tail really was fluffy. She turned again, wagging it a bit. "It does look good in this dress!"

At the sound of Simply shouting, Darren quickly was able to figure out where she was at, moving toward the noise, he finally found Simply standing in front of the exit, staring at her... tail? Standing there, he crossed his arms and turned his head to the side a few times. It was still in one piece - still fluffy and still moving... So why was she staring at it? Moving over, he gently tapped her on the shoulder. "Shall we move on toward the slide?" He asked, still looking at her tail. "And is there something wrong with your tail that you are looking at it?"

"It looks good with the ribbons." She stated plainly at the question before nodding enthusiastically at the mention of the slide. Nevermind that he'd made it through! Nope, they had a goal!
Which meant prancing the short path forward to.. a ball pit? With a rope? Well that wasn't too hard! She quickly leapt in with a giggle and not a second thought to it. To which it leapt to life and she found the balls were rather higher than she thought. Still, she wasn't about to give up. "It's actually kind of fun! Jump in!" Was the holler that Darren would have heard as she tried to swim along toward the rope, sadly she just wasn't quite getting there...
But she could keep trying!

Well she'd made it look easy enough - Darren had thought. Jumping in with little to no grace, he suddenly realized that he had really never learned how to swim - in plastic balls or water for that matter. As the whirlpool sucked him down he tried to vainly claw his way to the surface. "KEEP GOING TO THE SLIIIIIDDDE!" was all he managed to shout up to Simply before he was sucked down and spat out back at the start. Oh well, he'd tried.

Prom had caught Dekana unawares. He paid little attention to the events run by the school and even less attention to the pairing off of students and they prepared. So when the Prom kicked off and the fairground style event was in full swing, he meandered into the Fun House just to the thrill of it. The 13th Gate was a neutral name to him and he wasn't afraid of ghosts or ghouls - the only thing that disturbed him was the wacky colours and closed quarters.
The first room proved... interesting. A door on the far side and a floor that screamed trapped had him immediately grinning. This wasn't a scary house this a challenge. The rotating floors where tricky to navigate but with a bit of luck and the saving grace of a long, balancing tail, Dekana reached the other side. He puffed out his chest in pride.
Step one? Done!
