Nights-Rune I think that's a nice tradition, I don't personally celebrate death anniversaries but I do celebrate my Nan's birthday with cake and tea and I light a candle for her. Baby torture involves tickling them until the most annoying sound possible is made. It fails when they get older because they start to tickle back and kids aren't fair, they know your weak spots and that's where they will go for. (with me its the feet and they de-shoe and de-sock me to achieve this) sweatdrop *hugs* I am sorry to hear about your Grandad though. Loosing someone is never fun. Where I'm from, well, I don't know what other cultures out there are like, it's a normal thing for us to pay our respects toward our ancestry, at least the grandparent side of things here in the US. In Vietnam, it may go beyond that, even if it's on our cousin's side of things. We're really that close knit of a community. If anything, maybe too close knit. Then again, I can't really blame them due to their economy/environment they're brought up with. Since I'm raised up here, I don't have that much of a close relationship with my Grandfather, so I'm not all that affected by it (most affected are my parents and aunt/uncles). Oh~ I am totally going to keep an eye on that little youngin'. *sounds like an old lady* If he gives me a good one, I'll plan on giving back two-fold. *starts playing the contest of wits*

@ Damascus Dark: If I had more time, I might think about participating in the rp. Since I rather relax (lurk about) on Gaia, chances are, I won't participate long enough to actually make it worthwhile. Sorry. sweatdrop
@ Ysavvryl: Walrus and the Carpenter? *googles* Looks like one of those children stories. Never really heard about them up until now *raised in an Asian culture environment*
@ Nights-Rune: There was a heat wave warning for the NE/New-England, and my dad finally decided to open up the pool in the backyard. Had it ready just in time for the Jacob's party, where we invited over 50 or so people. There were so many adorable babies and toddlers and little kids~ And I'm happy no furniture/etc got broken/knocked-over. emotion_kirakira

Yen Quest @ Ysavvryl: Walrus and the Carpenter? *googles* Looks like one of those children stories. Never really heard about them up until now *raised in an Asian culture environment* It's from Alice in Wonderland, one of the poems in the narrative. I change my avatar a lot, but as for what I was talking about... a couple of lines of the poem mention that the pair were walking on the beach in the bright sunshine, which was strange because it was the middle of the night. So I was using the Sunset Siren background with the Night Weaver background to set the scene. The poem's narrative involves the Walrus and the Carpenter luring little oysters out of the water to eat them emo After the Tweedle twins recite the poem, they get into a debate with Alice about the morality of it. Typical of the story smile

Summer is hot.
I find myself with little energy to do much lately. Don't really have to ability to go outside much. And have now developed a strange liking to specific songs by "I Fight Dragons". Also, I'm I the only person that finds the term 'sun cream' a little strange?

I get the basic gist of Alice in Wonderland story, but not too much on her little mini adventures. And yeah, them poor oysters. xD

First I ever heard of them was when I saw a vid on newgrounds done by the creator of the SuperVillain series and a few other animations.

Loved how he punched in the Konami code in Save World Get Girl and created an explosion XD
