Bhima's eyes narrowed. What was with this guy? Was he bipolar or something? She had already spoken of uniqueness, and he was insinuating that she saw living creatures as only meat? This guy had problems.
"Of course not," she responded, her voice rumbling in her chest, "Everyone is a person, a living soul and a beating heart built from nature and experience. Alkidike are born from blossoms of the goddess Aisha, sometimes without any parentage at all... you want to talk to me about being meat? My point was that everyone is flesh and bone, all unique but essentially the same, a living being with emotions and desires. Remove a person's appearance, and you are left with a personality and a bag of the same old meat. You're crazy, do you know that? Waffling back and forth. Are you okay?" Actual concern was partially concealed in an angry manner of speaking.

Biroki was a little taken aback. And more than a little confused. But he was sticking to his guns. "Right. Remove the appearance and you have whats inside, but whats inside is more than a bag of meat. It's what you just said!" He was not going to let this go. Who was waffling back and forth, her or him?! "Theres muscle, organs, bones and blood. These are the same, and at their core we are kin in that sense. We all bleed red, don't we?!" he gestured angrily with his staff,"It's the other parts, what you called the living soul and the personality that give us our differences. Take away the outside and you have the person. And people. aren't. Meat." Suddenly he felt warm, almost feverish and he realized what was happeing. He closed his eyes and counted to ten. Forwards, then backwards, until he felt cooler. He opened his eyes to look at her, part glower part fatigue. And then he shook his head. "No. I'm not" he said, quietly, looking away. He at least could admit it. "M-magic" -he realized he hadn't stammered through out his whole rant- "is both a gift and a burden."

Bhima threw her arms up and then cut the b*****d off in frustration.
"THATS. WHAT. I. SAID." This guy was out of his gourd! A soul wasn't inside, it wasn't anywhere! It just was! To try and make the tirade stop, she chucked her spear to land a foot or so away from his right foot. She stood, panting, watching him give his non-apology. She shook her head, not truly annoyed and angry with him. She may have given him the benefit of the doubt before, but not now.
"Well, whatever it is, you need to get it under control, if you love that family of yours," she warned, "because there are people who would have impaled you, rather than listening to your bullshit."
She'd leave the spear. ******** the spear. She turned to leave, muscles in her neck and shoulders standing out.

Biroki did not like her tone. He didn't like it at all. He especially didn't like her spear landing so damn close to him, either. He turned to glare at it unhappily, gritting his teeth. How dare she bring his family into this?! How dare she... no, no, he would get the fire under control. It wanted to lash out and burn, but he was not going to let it. He was the mage, and mages controlled magic. With a thump of his staff, he stood up suddenly. "I'm going." he said, through gritted teeth, holding himself stiffly as if mere muscles could hold magic inside and safe. And he began to walk away, as fast as she was leaving ashes where the spear had stood...
