"I think that I could head out and find them quickly enough and I'll have a few of them stir up the fish and have the rest waiting here for you, so that you can swim with them. If you want me to?" She said, getting ahead of herself. She had a habit of doing that and it sometimes got on the nerves of others. "That's true. The dolphins would probably like being able to hunt and they'd like swimming with us. I have been swimming with a lot of pods since I left home... They're pretty much like family, though not really, since I eventually have to leave them too..." she said while twirling her dripping hair with her right hand.{{ooc: Ok ^^ Did you want me to post something right now or did you want me to wait for you to post your character? I just wanted to check with you before just posting something.}}

_Hoshiyuri_ OOC - Already got the character up. Alexis laughed softly. "Well, you can do that and stay here as long as you like," he said with amusement. He pulled his feet in underneath him, then turned, grabbing the bamboo spear before scooping up a few thin 'knives' which were little more than sharpened stakes, really. They had long twenty five foot lines of braided kelp that were attached to each little 'knife'. "Let's get something to eat," he said with amusement, diving into the tunnel near Aoi in one fluid movement and flipping beneath the water so he was watching Aoi's tail from below. He found it interesting that her tail seemed to shimmer even in the subtle light of the cavern.

A small smile came to Aoi's face as Alexis said taht she could go get the dolphins, though what made her even happier was that she could stick around for a while. She knew that she would probably end up having to leave like she always did, but she was going to stay around as long as she was allowed to without being a bother. She turned and followed Alexis into the water after he dove in and she flicked her tail, jetting through the water to see about getting the dolphins to help them hunt fish. The faint light of the cavern was glittering off of Aoi's tail, but she didn't pay much mind to it, though that was because she was used to her tail and didn't think much of how the light glimmered off of it.
"I'm going to go ahead and see if that pod I talked to last night is still around. I may be able to send a few back to you so they can bring you to the fish. I'm sure that they'd like to play with us after we're all done hunting." She said before darting through the water to check where the dolphins were.
The pod she had talked to weren't still there, though there was still a pod swimming around that she had met a while back, before coming to the islands that was more than willing to help and two headed off to were Aoi said she had last seen Alexis.{{ooc:}}

Alexis had slid the mask onto his face to breathe freely as he swam swiftly, not really realizing that slight flickers of bluish 'flame' flickered around his feet, accelerating his swimming. He came out of the tunnel, his gaze shifting around rapidly, taking in details quickly. He paused, hearing a slight hissing sound before he swam and somersaulted at the same time, narrowly evading a tiger shark that was nearly half again his own size. He didn't even think, but simply reacted, his hand striking sharply at the back of the shark just behind the dorsal fin. It immediately began thrashing as if it couldn't swim straight and slammed into the side of the gorge with a sickening crack that made him wince slightly. He swam up closer to the top of the gorge, his gaze scanning around before he noticed the approaching pair of dolphins. He took a deep breath before he swam quickly towards them. He wasn't surprised to see one start swimming back where it had come while the other swam alongside him, not seeming startled at all.

While scanning the water, Aoi was playing with the dolphins, who were also looking for schools of fish that they could chase down along the gorge that Aoi had told them about. Still scanning the water, Aoi noticed Alexis and the pair of dolphins that she had sent for him coming in her general direction.
The two dolphins that were with Alexis let out a series of clicks and squeaks to let the others know that they were there. And suddenly one of the dolphins with Aoi let out some squeaks, darting in the direction of a school of fish. "All right. I knew that they'd find fish quick enough. Now to chase them down the length of the gorge." Aoi said as she and the dolphins with her darted after the lead dolphin into the school of fish.{{ooc:}}

Alexis tilted his head as he swam quickly, diving beneath the school of fish and coming close to matching the fishes' frenzied pace before he flicked one of his darts, wrapping the kelp line around his forearm just above his wrist loosely. The fish hit almost immediately began twitching as the dart had impacted its spine and heart from the angle he'd launched it at. He reeled the line in, deliberately leaving the dart in so to leave little to no blood and hence no reason to interest any sharks in where they were, at least not yet. "Good sized fish, probably enough for three days," he muttered as he kept swimming. He launched another of his darts and lines, catching a second fish that was roughly half again the size of the first, which he gauged to be easily twenty to twenty five pounds.

Aoi fell back some because she wasn't really one that liked to kill things. She usually left that to the men of her village, but because she had been out on her own she had to make tough decisions at times. Although, she had taken the lives of fish, but only because she would have starved to death if she wouldn't have done what needed to be done. True, she could have eaten only plant life, but she was not accustomed to such a diet and had to eat fish to feel like she was eating adequately. She looked over at Alexis as he reeled a fish in before catching another one. She didn't like seeing the fish hurt or suffering, though she knew taht leaving the weapons in the fish would prevent blood from spilling into the water and possibly attracting sharks.{{ooc:}}

Alexis quickly swam back towards the tunnel to the cavern and took care of cleaning the fish quickly, using an underground stream to prevent sharks from being attracted up the tunnel. He then headed back out into the water, mildly amused as he came out a few feet behind Aoi. "Fortunately where I hit the fish, they didn't suffer at all," he said idly through the mask, his slightly raspy voice seeming louder than usual in the water above the clicks and squeals of the pod not too far away.

Aoi headed back to the cavern and she had to look away as Alexis cleaned the fish. When she heard taht they had not suffered at all the way he had hit them she was a bit relieved knowing that. "I was wondering, you said that I can stay here... How long can I stay here? I promise that I'll not be a bother and will do as much as I can around here, even though I may not be able to do much out of the water..." She said. She had thought about the rumors of how her family on her mother's side may have decended from humans and merfolk and that she may possibly be able to have legs, though she didn't think that it was likely. She thought that whole idea of being half human was really nice, though the chance of it happening to her didn't seem likely.{{ooc:}}

Alexis shrugged. "However long you want. I don't mind having company at all, so really, it doesn't bother me even if you can't help. You can help just by providing company and sometimes humor, if you like," he said with a shrug. He glanced towards the small stream that ran along the groove that had been worn into the cavern floor, then at the small slope it ran down. He noticed subtle shifts in the water, as if there were handholds that were possible to climb up.
"There are some tunnels that the pool beneath here connect to that I haven't explored yet, so we may find something interesting in them," he said thoughtfully.

Listening wholeheartedly, Aoi smiled after hearing that she coudl stay around as long as she liked. She had never really had that luxury before when she was running, though she thought that now she may actually be able to stick around in this place for a while, seeing as her father would not be able to sent anyone here for her.
"Thank you so much! I would love to stay and keep you company." she said cheerily, loving the thought of having company that wouldn't shove her away in a couple of days to a week. She also liked the thought of exploring with Alexis, so that she would have something to do other than float around in the water. "I think that sounds like fun." she said in reply to Alexis' mention of exploring the tunnels and maybe finding something interesting.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled. "You can use the stream to get around if you want," he said thoughtfully as he shifted the cleaned and skinned fish into a nearby alcove that he'd found that acted almost like a steamer pot, though he rolled a large piece of stone in front of it to cover it. The stream went around the cavern with several spots where it branched into the openings that led into the water below. He absently noticed it was brighter due to the sun being higher in the sky.
He absently shifted the guitar, leaning against a small natural 'chair' as he lightly strummed it. He didn't think of singing, though he wasn't skilled at it and had seldom a reason to do so.

Aoi looked around to see where all the stream led and she thought that she would have a nice run of the place with the stream. Her eyes glittered some as she looked around, her excitement hardly contained at all as she skimmed her eyes over everything. She noticed that Alexis had taken some sort of instrument and started playing it. She leaned against the edge of the pool and hauled herself put of the water and she started subconsciously humming along to the music, her voice resonating throughout the cavern, though she didn't even realize that she was doing it.{{ooc:}}

Alexis glanced up at Aoi, hearing her humming, though he didn't think anything of it at first. He shifted into something a bit more cheerful, unaware he was singing quietly along with it, not even thinking about what he was doing.

_Hoshiyuri_ As soon as the music changed Aoi realized that she had been singing, weel humming along, and her face turned red. Though she soon heard that Alexis was now singing along to the music that he was playing. She said nothing of it and just enjoyed listening to the music and Alexis singing.{{ooc:}}
