"Oh, okay." Candace actually sounded relieved. He just wanted more material. That could actually be good, give him something new and fresh instead if what everyone had grown accustomed and..in some cases annoyed with. "Another day, dear. You get four days a month, and we want Sasha to get a much as she can out of today, hm?" If the only reason Sasha could go somewhere was because of Candace she was definitely letting the poor girl have her way for a little while. Candace would go <******** insane if she had her leave days taken away.
Sasha's words had Candace interested in knowing what this little plan was. It wasn't what she thought it was, was it? Hm...what were you up to, Sasha? Maybe it was good she was here. "Little Miss Sasha growing into a mischievous woman~. I like it," Candace's tone was affectionately teasing, a little smirk on her face as she followed after Sasha and Jerry to step through the portal.

Jerry sagged in disappointment and slouched his way through the portal waiting for them.
If they saw a Guitar Center or other music shop, he was slipping in, thank you.
The Portal Room melted away to a dim, slightly dirty, but at least unoccupied alley. Up ahead he could see the bustle of a busy street, but he waited for the others, bouncing on his toes like an excited child.

There might've been a time where Candace's words would have caused the dark-haired Lifer to feel a little belittled, a little annoyed. Sasha merely laughed softly, the genuine sound a little rusty from disuse. Mischievous? It was pretty precious that Candace thought of her as mischievous and not <******** crazy like a few other people on the island.
Plus, how could she be mad at Candace when the woman was the only reason she was being allowed off-island anyway?
She followed Candace through the portal. Once she was through, Sasha paused to stop Jerry in his tracks.
"There are rules, Jerry. Candace and I only want what's best for you. You will listen to me and do as I say, won't you? Do you remember the conversation we had just a few days ago? If you behave and we get through this day having accomplished everything we set out to do, perhaps we can stop at a music place for you. As a reward."
Like a puppy.

Candace stopped beside Sasha to listen to her rules for Jerry, her brow raised in interest. When had she become so commanding? She wasn't sure she entirely approved of this...arrangement. Rewarding Jerry like he was a child? Some kind of domesticated pet? This didn't seem the time or place to object to that but..hm.
She was going to have to keep an eye on this woman.
"I think I mentioned this kind of thing could help give you a fresh start once." If she hadn't said it she'd certainly thought it. "Don't look so gloomy~."

Jerry straightened up at Sasha's warning and promise. He glanced to Candace, his face flushing, "Y-yeah... I just. I've always worn this style glasses, y'know?" He gave them a wiggle on the bridge of his nose as he started walking. "It'll be weird." But it should be fun, overall. He trusted the two of them to sort him out properly.

"Most excellent. And that's exactly what I've been trying to tell him, Candace. I'm glad we agree on that."
She turned away and rolled her eyes to herself as she walked off with a snap in her step.
"New glasses first. Follow me."
It wouldn't take them long to reach their destination. Luckily everything was within walking distance. It would cut down on a lot of time.

Right, Sasha. That was the most sincere thing ever. Candace focused her attention on Jerry instead, chuckling softly at Jerry's concern about this being weird. "You'll get used to it. It might be weird at first, looking into the mirror and looking different, but think of it as a fresh start. Pretty much everyone goes through something like this at some point in their lives.." A look was given to Sasha. Sasha was a very definite example of this. The woman was basically nothing like the innocent young lady who had first arrived with a little sparkle in her eye and looked like she was about to start a sing-along with cuddly forest creatures at any moment.
She was definitely not that girl anymore. Was that girl still somewhere in there? Candace was very curious about her.
They also seemed to have polar opposite approaches to dealing with Jerry. Sasha seemed falsely warm, Candace liked to think she was genuine. "Change is good, just remember that."

"Ch-change is good," Jerry repeated softly, blushing a bit as he followed after Sasha who seemed to know where she was going. "And... and people will take me more seriously, right?" One could hope.

"Do you remember what we discussed? Changing your appearance isn't going to make people respect you or take you seriously."
She glanced over her shoulder at Jerry before peering at Candace. The mist huntress was given a small, unreadable smile before Sasha turned around.

"Change is good," she reassured Jerry. "The new look is just for you. People won't take you seriously unless you take yourself seriously, Jerry." Candace looked from Jerry to Sasha in time to catch the smile, giving the younger woman a smile back.
She's watching you, Sasha.

Jerry made a small noise in his throat as he glanced along the rows of stores. What sort of style should he settle on? He had no idea. Default was Default because he generally had no impression, and his grandfather had worn frames like this. He liked them. "I... I trust you ladies, ahaha..." He managed, forcing an eager smile.

It didn't take them long to reach the first store on the little card that Sasha carried. Devonshire Optical. It was a classy little boutique loaded with frames in all shapes, sizes and colors. Sasha immediately beelined for a glass case labelled "Mykita" - they were frames that didn't look horribly different from the awful glasses that Jerry wore - they were just more... fashionable. "I think the black frames, or the dark green," Sasha murmured to herself, signalling for one of the lurking salespeople.

Candace looked over Sasha's shoulder at the glasses she had gone straight for. Ohhh, those were nice. "Oh, those are ni--" Something in the corner of her eye got her attention.
Round glasses. They were like John Lennon glasses. Candace's eyes widened. "s**t," she muttered under her breath, turning to find Jerry and bring him to the nice selection before he could lay his eyes on anything else. "Jerry, come look at these. You'll like them." It was mostly a command.
Okay no, it was totally a command.

"Hmm?" He glanced around at the wares, dazzled by all the colors and varieties. When the women directed him, he had no choice but to flow behind them, peering down at the collection in question, "Oh, those are alright... a little boring.. think they have them in orange?"

"No. They have them in black or dark green."
Sasha gestured at the salesperson with a very pointed look. It was one that said retrieve the black and dark green frames or I will disembowel you where you stand.
