"Too much information? A vague implication that people who are dating maybe are attracted to each other?" Jordan rested his elbows on the table and watched Al interestedly. The guy was going to snap in a minute. Better that happen in a relatively controlled environment than when nobody expected it.

"It wasn't vague. It was straight up sexual innuendo about things." Al didn't seem to go further than shaking though.

"It does seem strange," Jordan observed, "that out of everything you've experienced that's out of the ordinary, that the idea of gay sex is the one that freaks you out."

"Not to me it doesn't," Al pointed out irritably.

"It's really pretty weird for you to be feeling that."

"Is no- waitaminute, not falling for that." Al uncrossed his arms finally.

"I think it's weird. It disgusts me." Jordan raised an eyebrow at Al. "In fact, I really don't like to hear anything about that feeling of yours, and I think I'll try to make you feel bad every time you express it. That's fair, right?"

Al gave Jordan a dirty look, "Only if you do the same with your thing."

"I'll keep my disgust with your opinion to myself," Jordan said, "if you'll keep your disgust with my opinion to yourself. I'm not about to change my normal interactions with my fiances, nor should you expect Rep to. That's unreasonable. You're going to have to deal with it." He grinned. "Otherwise, further talks will be had on the training field, with weapons out."

"That's too bad. I would really have preferred to have a thoughtful, logical conversation with you," Jordan replied. "But since you'd rather not discuss it or change a behavior that upsets a man you claim to respect - " He shrugged. "If I can't convince you with words, I'll have to convince you with blunt force trauma. I'll also be happy to disabuse you of any notions you may have that gay guys are somehow weaker or less capable. Got that?"

"I never said that. Ever," Al pointed out, trying to ignore the accusations and threat. "All I said was it weirds me out and only then it was said because you asked me okay. I can't change how I feel any more than you can."

"It's a common enough misconception in combination with the weird and creepy one," Jordan answered. "If you don't actually think that, that's good, and I won't have to prove otherwise. I suspect that you could change how you feel, given a good enough reason and some honest self-awareness, but since you seem to prefer to be creeped out and disgusted, you won't. Either way, keep your weirded out quiet."

Al was welllll into defensive again. This time posturing a bit excessively as he crossed his arms, "Self-awareness?! Just what the <********> is that supposed to mean?"

"You can't give me any actual reason for your weirded out," Jordan pointed out. "You don't know why you have this feeling and you're unwilling to think about it to find out. That's not particularly self-aware."
