He offered his hand out. "I'll take your bag...follow you back as far as I'm allowed." Maybe wait in her room and hold her bag hostage. That seemed sane, right?
You are totally loosing your marbles.
This place is getting to me.
I think it's more than this island.
Maybe leave would be a good idea. Maybe with Rin if she didn't need some time away from him.

Rin kept her phone but gladly passed him the bag, "Now don't follow, okay? He's like a big cat. One whiff of dog and he'll shred the nearest living thing."

He just stood there, holding her bag. "I'll...wait in my room then?" Waiting. This wasn't going to be fun. Should he be in the Infirmary instead or maybe outside whatever building she'd be in. "Unless I can go someplace else to wait for you."
He looked at her. "How near is too near?" She wasn't making him feel better about talking about shredding living things.

Melvin just stared at her, not wanting to believe everything would be fine, which made the idea of watching her go alone even worse.
"O.K." He said, and just looked at her, frowning.

Melvin just watched her go, wondering if he should head to the Infirmary just to be on alert or just wait here. For now, he just stood there, alone, trying not to think of Rin being torn up into shreds like a tiger through tissue paper. That if something did happen, he would be to blame for it.
