Vanni and Culann made their way down the Bifrost, the shining rainbow bridge slowly shimmering away to strangely pleasant forest. It was a relatively calm trip so far-- nothing terrible had showed up just yet, though there was still time. Cane tapping the ground with regular rhythm, she chose this moment to speak up. "I was wondering, dear," she remarked, staring straight ahead. (Culann would glanced up, but it wouldn't take to long for him to realize she wasn't speaking too him.) "Why this path? Not that I've got a problem with it, but you were the one who suggested it."
Because you're so kind! the voice squeaked in her mind. It seemed louder here, more solid, perhaps because of the strangeness of the Dream World.
"Am I?" Vanni remarked, mildly surprised. "I...
You are! The voice declared, sounding slightly agitated. You protect me, don't you? And you keep me from having to... to... Here, the voice trailed off, but picked back up quickly. And you never complain about it! And you're friendly to people! I couldn't do it! You're the kindest-- person! The kindest person I know.
Vanni gave a quiet laugh, shaking her head at her other half's strange intensity and mildly faulty explanation. "If you say so, dear."
Culann kept an even pace, resisting the urge to ask the girl what the hell was going on. Phoebe had mentioned Vanni's tendency to talk to people who weren't there-- odd, but ultimately harmless. He hoped the poison-type was right.
And in thoughtful silence, the trainer and Pokemon walked.

Vanni would find that indeed the forest lived up to it's name, being rather pleasant with it's cheery greenery and gentle breezes. No Pokemon leaped out to attack or challenge her, in fact there didn't look to be a single living creature out there aside from herself and Culann. What did appear however was a sight which could not be perceived as anything less then odd. Sparkling like a bright red ruby and sitting in the middle of the road, as a Cheri Berry.

Vanni would keep walking through the forest, rather cheerful and totally oblivious the world around her, halted only by Culann taking ahold of her skirt with his teeth. She would stumble to a stop, and find where the Growlithe was pointing (where had he learned to point like a hunting dog? The world may never know). Well! She supposed here was as good as any a place to find berries. Vanni knelt down, picked up the berry, and pocketed it. "Thank you, dear," the girl remarked as she scratched her Growlithe between his ears. And with that, the pair were off again.

The silence and peace of the forest up until now would be abruptly broken as Vanni proceeded down the path. Bushes would rustle, leaves falling to the forest floor before a brown and cream figure out burst free, screaming like a craving lunatic ">GYAAAAAAAAAAAAH! SHE'S GONNA EAT ME! I'M GONNA BE SOUP!<" The Buneary, liberally covered in mud, would scream at the top of his lungs. ">For the last time it's just a bath!<" Another Buneary would bark as she leaped free of cover.
">GYAAAAAAAAAAAH! SHE'S GONNA CLEAN ME, THEN EAT ME!<" The younger, evidently male, Buneary would scream as he ran about, leaving a trail of muddy footprints behind. It would seem Vanni had wandered in on something of a fiasco between mother and son.
Vanni and Culann walked in silence, but that peace would be rather loudly broken by the wailing, dirty Buneary. The girl would watch the spectale with some curiosity, before turning to glance down at her Growlithe.
"No. No. Not even a little. I don't do domestic disputes." Culann frown, sitting himself down with an annoyed thump!.
Vanni would say nothing, but give a rather sweet smile, and her stare would intensify.
The Growlithe would give an irratable sigh, before listening to his trainer and stepping forward. "Oi! Kit! Listen to 'er, would you?" he called out gruffly, trotting towards the running creature.
For an instant the Buneary would skid to a halt, eyes blinking slowly at these intruders. Finally, after a full three seconds of standing still, just as the mother was about to pounce, he would scream louder then ever before ">GYAAAAAAAAAAH! SHE'S GONNA EAT ME AT A DINNER PARTY!<" From there limbs would flail as paws pounded the parched earth. It would seem they'd failed to make things any better. ">Now look what you've done!<" The female Buneary barked, stomping over to the two ">Well? Take responsibility!<" She said, shoving a bucket into the Growlithe's mouth. Apparently she was expecting a Fire-Type to make use of a water bucket.
Bath Brawl!
Objective: Drench the Buneary! RULES: Each post you will only need to roll 1 D20. This is for accuracy. Each post I will roll 2 D20. The first will be for the Buneary's dodge. The second will be to mark the distance of your target. A far away target is worth more points then one close by. Your score will be decided by your Roll + Your Pokemon's SP-ATK + Distance. Final Score Divided by number of failures . If you miss you gain no points. Successfully hit the Buneary 3 times to win!
the reaction of ghosts was a peculiar thing. PKE was born a Rotom, he never knew of any life remembered besides being a ghost, the frightening antics before him could not have been further from their intended audience...
He stared on, unblinking and watching, the Lax creature waiting for the finale...
It was a good strong effort, no less be said, but the question was HOW would the Rotom react... Would it be met with a flinch, an applause, or even a yawn of disapproval?
((Lol, just to help you here, I can't react until I see the roll... A flinch if it dies damage, applause if it causes negative damage, a yawn if he rolls 18, 19 or 20 =B))

((Allow me to point out dear Jazz that since they have the same SPD you were supposed to be attacking as well.))
For an instant the Rotom's form would shift, it's appearance becoming hazy and inconsistent for a moment. It would appear their opponent was a little confused by the action. No tears from the baby? No scream? This was a nightmare and it wasn't afraid? Where was the delicious fear? There was supposed to be fear! For an instant the Nightmare shrunk back, confusion gnawing at it in this scenario. It would retreat back toward the fog, but not outright flea. It just needed a way to harm the child....
((Oh, gag, yeah, I just couldn't tell what to do with its normal speed being question marks <_<wink)
The Nightmare creature would certainly find it had a lot of work to do to scare a ghost... But it wasn't the only one starving it if energy, as Jasmine watched on...
Had this been before the Haunter's underground tournament maybe she would have reacted differently, but she remembered the thing that assumed Burnout's form and a glass replica of herself...
She wasn't going to be spooked by these tricks a second time.
Not when she had spotted something of interest...
"PKE, use Trick!"

In an instant it had stopped clapping, the little Rotom zipped in diagonal fashion across the ground sporadically, leaving sparking a fading trail as it did... Until it HUGGED the copy of itself!!
Were they aiming to kill it with kindness?!
No, more than that, a Trick in itself, as the copy would feel strange energy, electricity warping and pulling at its body... PKE was reversing his own charge!! He was magnetising himself!!
And as he was doing so... Aiming to rip the item away from the Nightmare it was bearing!!

((Oh like I didn't see THIS coming a mile away. Even with the fog. rolleyes))
Despite not an ounce of metal actually being in the item the Rotom sought, the odd mechanics of the poltergeist's attack would indeed succeed. Without warning the unseen item would be ripped off the Nightmare's face and sail through the air. Before it ever reached the Rotom however the item would fall to the ground, shattering definitively. It would seem whatever this was, it wasn't something meant to be, or even capable of being held by a Rotom.
[MASK OF SHADOWS HAS SHATTERED!]
The mask laying in pieces on the ground, the Nightmare's form would begin to waver, shifting and distorting as the darkness which had made up it's form peeled away. Orange would fade to black, blue eyes turning red, a very different Pokemon appearing in place of the Rotom which had been floating there moments ago. A Zorua.
">Hehehe. Guess the Skitty's out of the Sack!<" The Dark-Type snickered impishly; but the mirthful gesture would quickly fad as his voice took on a more malicious tone ">I guess the games are over. Time to eliminate the witnesses." Shadows suddenly flared around the little fox, coating his legs as he darted forward. Unsurprisingly he chose to use Pursuit, an attack from which there was no true escape. You could run, but never hide!

"W-what?" The Growlithe yelped as the bucket was shoved forcefully into his mouth by the irritated Buneary. He paused for a second, merely looking back between the mother and his trainer with annoyed confusion. With a muffled assent that might have been "FINE!", the Growlithe took off, throwing his neck forward and hoping to douse the errant bunny.
((I only now remember LunLun was supposed to be doing this for you...))
Perhaps because he was working with just his mouth and a severe lack of hands, the Growlithe would mix spectacularly. The water would slop onto the ground and the Buneary wqould scream like a girl when a single drop of water touched the back of his neck ">GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!<"
((XP Roll your eyes, it seemed important, I was worried for a second it might have turned PKE into a nightmare instead for a while!))
And there was there troubles, all out in front of them, as PKE pulled back and the item flew through the air, repelled by some strange power before it would shatter.
And the Zorua was now in front of them all, making threats? It certainly didn't look much now as a threat, rushing in a Pursuit.
"On the contrary." Jasmjne spoke aloud from her spot, hopping down from Ironclaw's back, the Skarmory, Chansey and Lampent all fanning out. "Who says we're running away?"
Even Nightingale looked braver now and the message was clear, they weren't about to be intimidated by the fox. They wouldn't barge into the fight yet, but they would certainly make sure it isn't get away!
"Counter, Signal Beam!" Jasmine barked.
They weren't running anywhere, they would have words for this 'big bad wolf' and as it ran straight for the Rotom they'd be waiting! PKE tilted his head horizontally, his little lighting bolt arms crackling with a new energy as he began to spin, faster and faster, glowing brighter and brighter... Until finally he released the beam, shaking as the Signal Beam, flashing and flaring, blasted point blank at the small illusory fox!
They were the ones who didn't intend to let HIM get away!

((Yeah, I was wondering about that. I don't mind waiting for Lunar, mind you, so it's y'all's choice.))
"Steady, Culann. Vanni's voice was pleasant and detached as she watched her firedog awkwardly chase a bunny.
If Culann's mouth had been free, he would have given back a snarky retort. Instead, he rushed forward once again, trying to actually HIT the blasted bunny with the water this time. Oh, but for hands, arms, and opposable thumbs! His aiming ability was rather shot, given his limb rotation problem and the fact that this was his least-favorite element.
This time Culann would miss the Buneary by a mile, slipping in one of the normal-type's muddy footprints and falling flat. Water would slop over the ground and the Buneary would merely continue to scream and run.
