Mildred's heart softened. He had thought of their trip, during the week. Oh, maybe he thought of it just as much as she had! She hoped so, in that girly little part of her.
"It went well. I worked on my quilting mostly, and assisted my brother when he needed it." Or mostly she'd begged Vaughn to let her help him, since all she'd done was stitch little vibrantly colored cattaur males with blonde hair and bi-colored eyes into her works. That one she'd have to keep. "He told me as a child never to wish away time, but...I did hope that it would go by a little faster, so I could see you again."
