It was all moving a little fast for Jeremy, but he had known Mimi since they were little, and he was raised by River, so he knew how to act in fast-moving situations by now. Mostly he just stood there, simply letting everything happen, all with a smile on his face. Like a building built to sway in an earthquake, it was better to go with the flow than to resist in situations like this. But even Mimi was a little hard for him to follow, because she was just so darn fast. One moment, he was smiling at the red haired boy and the orange-haired woman Mimi had summoned, the next they were getting into teams for volleyball, and then a blonde boy was being added and he was pretty sure he heard his name mentioned. "Has anyone played volleyball before?" he chirped finally, looking up at his new companions. He wasn't good with strangers, but he was doing his best to seem friendly like his mothers. It was kind of hard, though, since they were all so much taller than he was, with the exception of Mimi who was aggressively eye-level, and older, and he was starting to feel like a little kid again. "Or does anyone have a ball? I have one, but it's made of flimsy plastic and I think we'd have to blow it up first." He was just glad he was on Mimi's team, but he also felt a little uneasy -- she may have let him down once or twice.
---
Erika's reaction was so normal, Yuri probably could have burst into relieved tears right then and there if she hadn't been so focused on how she was coming across. The blonde made not have had reacted negatively, but that still didn't mean that she wasn't going to turn around and tattle. So Yuri had to stay together, and come across as confident and totally fine, so Erika would go back saying only good things and maybe she could improve her standing in her husband's--err, ex-husband's-- eyes. For now she focused on the children for a moment, just taking them in visually. She had seen them as often as she could since June left, taking them with him, but each time she was startled by how different they were. They were walking and talking in small, stunted sentences, but it was a bit of a shock every time she saw them. They were working on the walking and talking, when the four of them lived together as a family, but it was just starting out and honestly, their first year was such a blur, she couldn't remember as much as she should have. She smiled at the twins, letting out small little coos and "That's nice"'s as they showed off their toys. They were her children, but she had never been good with kids, and she felt a little uncomfortable around May and Jeffrey, especially with Erika there. Junior was fine, in fact, Yuri was so relieved to have him there and interacting was such a relief she could have kissed him. But instead, she complimented the twins' clothes again and their toys, before looking up at Erika. "Oh, yeah, sure," she replied, a little startled by the gesture. It had been so long since she had any substantial control over the kids' lives, the idea of someone seeking her permission for something was a little bit foreign and baffling. "I mean, of course, it's okay. I'm not going to forbid you guys from letting the kids have some funny. It's not like I'm evil or crazy or anything." She had tried to sound light and joke-y, but she hadn't been in a very lighthearted mood lately, so it came out awkwardly serious, and she regretted it immediately. "A-anyway, how are you? How is June? Is work... good?" She allowed the slightest amount of hopefulness into her voice, but right away she felt like she was transparent. Ahh, coming out here was such a mistake, she thought as she sent a desperate glance towards Junior.

Zhi was well equipped for handling situations like this. The woman adored her wife to an extreme that was almost unhealthy, yes, but she also had that very same obsession with the princesses and animated fairytale films that only grew stronger as the years went. Plus, trying to make any one of those things didn't sound very fun at all and she was sure Elliot would want to be something pretty rather than the super cool ideas that River thought!
It was all for her sister-in-law's and dearest friend's feelings that she started towards manipulating the woman in the just-as-good-as-but-also-more-appropriate direction, “Oh, wow, River, that sounds so cool!! But I don't know if we can capture that coolness all on our own! Also, Elliot said she wanted to be able to breath.. Squids live underwater where you can't breath, robots don't have lungs, you can't breath in space, and T-Rex's.. Dinosaurs..” ..have been dead for centuries and won't ever breath again, is what she was going to say, but.. But could Zhi really be the person to tell River that? Shatter that beautiful wonder? So River can grow bitter and angry and want a divorce a few months down the line? “..could breathe, so let us make the Elliot dinosaur.” She conceded and withheld a sigh as she started to work on a long, spiky tail. Oh, well, she guessed she could make it a dinosaur princess. Even big scaly lizards had to have dreams and romance.

It was kind of heart warming, seeing Yuri fawn over her children like this. It was so sad for a mother to be apart from her children after all. She knew the break up between these two was bad, but Erika just really didn't wrap her head around the child situation until just now. The blonde smiled a bit to herself as she thought back on what it would be like to have had her mother around. June was a meanie for not letting her see her kids! She just said she wasn't evil or crazy herself! Well... That seems like the kind of thing someone evil and crazy would say, but Erika liked to think otherwise. So she continued to smiley blissfully until addressed again. Her ears twitched a bit at the emphasis on June, though I guess an ex would be pretty intrigued by what their departed half was up to. "I'm okay, living on my own and all that," Erika spoke with a small sing-song tone her voice usually had. Though, she knew the information the twin's mother was really fishing for. But, Erika really had to think about what June was really up to lately. It really wasn't much, he was just... Just... "Just being June, I guess?" She stated really thinking about it, "He works on projects, goes out to have fun, takes care of the twins... Pretty stable life surprisingly." That wasn't really surprising, since the two biggest disruptive forces in June's life had been removed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This was kinda fun... Icis thought that it would end up being boring. Like she'd be haughty and fight back and just end up aggravating the brunette. Well, getting angry would have been fun in itself, but this was even better. And while the woman wasn't totally heartless and felt a small twang in her heart as she caused this woman floods of fear, Icis was pretty happy with the situation. "Now now, don't be like that," She said cutely as she put her finger to the bottle and pushed it down and away. It didn't take much of her strength to push away a trembling teens arms. Icis then stood up and put herself back in front of the chair, placing her hands on her hips. "First you sit there all lonely, now your shaking in your non-existent boots," She began speaking with a small chuckle, letting down her predator like aura, "Your just painting a big target on you." As Icis said this she placed her hands up in the shape of a heart and closed one eye to look through it and at January. She then dropped her hands and grinned widely. Her hand reached out to the Blonde as if she was approaching a frightened cat, but meant for a handshake, "I'm Icis, Blondie, now lets go have some fun."

  - Rune LeBlanc, Brooke Page, Julian Fate, Miah Bernadetto, & Stella Hammett- The beach festival. Well this was nice. Rune smiled as she got to there, by herself no less. It was still something to get used to really, to be at a Nirvani festival without her parents, or her brother dragging her around. To think she would miss that... vitality to put it that way. In fact, now that she sat down for a moment in her little spot, the sand caught her eye. Wilhelm wasn't around, why not make a little sand... something in his absence. She would chuckle at that little idea that entertained her at the moment. So she was arriving a bit late, she had really ended up talking to her father about something he was writing and time went on. But now Brooke was at the beach hoping to catch up with the rest of her siblings. Well one of them... with company. Huh. She wasn't going to interrupt to be honest, so she just slipped her bag and shirt off, leaving it near Erika and wandered off herself to take a small swim. Coming up at her deliberate pace, Miah was coming along with her new black bathing suit and wide pair of sunglasses shielding her face. She was tussling her blonde locks as she stopped at a comfortable area in the beach to enjoy her stay. Today was a day to pamper herself, just a tad more than she usually did. Julian was somewhere around as well, but seeing as she traveled light today, Miah would set down her towel by herself and lay down. She had already covered her skin care just a few moments before, so she would be fine. "Any sign of anyone?" casually commented the blonde behind her sunglasses. "Nah, except Icis... Oh but she's busy" remarked Julian as he left his stuff next to Miah's. He took off his shirt and prompted to stretch a bit. What would he do today? Take a swim? Wander around? He felt like doing something, and Miah was decided on absorbing sunlight so... The shipper was off duty. That kept Stella quite happy as she went on to toss her stuff in the sand. She would happily keep someone company but for the moment she failed to see someone she would interrupt carelessly. Or rather she had settled a bit too far off from everyone else. Maybe a walk would suffice, plus she did have a nice swimsuit. Might as well walk it off. (( OOC: Entering Miah Bernadetto & Julian Fate for the swimsuit contest))

January's mouth froze in a horrified 'O' when Icis reached down and took the sunscreen away. You know, not that she was convinced it would have worked, but it should have at least bought her more time! Her empty hands drifted up towards her jaw as she brought her arms to protect herself. She was petrified by fear of this strange woman. She had heard all sorts of stories about what villains did to young, defenseless, beautiful girls like herself, and there was no doubt about it -- Icis was a villain. Icis' extended hand was what broke the spell on January, who kicked at the older girl's hand rather feebly, missing each time, but bringing a new vigor to the blonde's resistance. "No!" she cried sharply. "Nonononononononooo! I don't want to!" As she continued to churn the air with her feet, she glanced around for help, anything. For a moment, her eyes met Catrina's, but not for long. January didn't pay much attention to the people around her, but even she could tell that a grown woman dressed as a cat was not someone she could rely on. "Ferdinando!" she tried to yell, but her voice cracked and it didn't carry far. "Daddy! Rath! Fat butler! Someone! Anyone! Liliaaaa...!"
---
River stared at Zhi as her wife went through the list of options, hanging onto every word. So smart! So logical! "You're so SMART, Zhi," she marveled, overcome with admiration. "I mean, da-doy, squids? Robots? So stupid." Space ship, though, there was still something usable in that, but she could push that another day. "T-Rex it is! Elliot-saurus! Elliot we're gonna make you super terrifying okaaay?"
Elliot lay silently in the sand, even though it was kind of uncomfortable to lie on her stomach, simply because she knew if she were to be on her back, her chances of sunburn would be much higher... And she could put up with it for now. In the meantime, she thought about all sorts of things. Like what she and Finnian were going to have for dinner tomorrow, or that she had to remember to floss Zinka's teeth, conversations she had... including one unfinished one. Elliot wasn't one to bring up topics, but she was curious. "Zhi," she began, turning her head so she wasn't talking down to the sand, "My question before... you didn't answer..." The statement felt uncomfortably forward, but she pushed ahead. "Is marriage important?"
---
Without realizing it, Garland had been sitting there in the sand for a really long time. He had intended to just sit for a moment or two, but he continued to sit, piling sand on his legs, as he glanced around the beach. Good news: the beach had filled up a bit more! Bad news: it was all families and kids and old people. There was that weird cat lady, too; he had watched her run around the beach for a little while. There were some cute girls, but they looked young, and he wasn't a ***** or anything. There was the blonde with the kids (young mom? Too serious) and for a moment, he considered going over to talk to the cute brunette and tall blonde, but upon hearing what sounded vaguely like cries for help, he reconsidered. Hmm. There were some middle aged women in a group, and while they weren't bad-looking, Garland wasn't interested in anyone old enough to be his mom, and the dark-haired woman in the towel wasn't terrible either, but she was with her boyfriend so no way. So he continued to wait, not seeming to notice the weight gathering on his legs, as he scouted. There was a blue-haired woman -- too old -- and a hot blonde -- but she was with her boyfriend or brother or whatever, it didn't matter, guys were a bummer. That's when he spotted a young white-haired woman all alone, playing in the sand. Perfect! Garland went to leap to his feet, but found he couldn't budge with the amount of sand he had piled atop his knees. Hmm. That took even longer, unpiling all that sand, but eventually he was on his feet, big inflatable shark under his arm, as he hurried over to Rune.
"...Hi," Garland greeted as he got up close, tossing back his curly hair (and getting some sand in his mouth ugh gross what how does that even happen). He had to be cool, real cool. ...But not so cool that she'd have to, like, put on a jacket or something, because that'd be lame. "'Sup," he added with a Dude Nod, "You all alone?" An oldie but a goodie! Garland went to lean against a railing, all suave-like, but didn't have a railing to lean against, so he used his shark as a substitute. Unfortunately, the shark was just made out of vinyl and air and so wasn't very firm, and it crumpled pretty easily under his weight. The scrawny boy stumbled, but caught himself, and after giving himself many mental high-fives for not falling on his face like last time, continued as if it had never happened. "You makin' a sand castle? You know, I'm something like a sand expert. I could give you lessons." Oh mannn, he was killing this so hard, he could feel himself swooning over himself.

xxxxx x~x~x~x~x~x~Rath Viniva The beach! Why, if he didn't have to work so much, he'd be here a lot more often. The soft sand, the cool water, the hot babes...What wasn't there to like? As he was in the process of raising his arms in a dramatic stretch and preparing to launch himself into the cool depths of the water he heard...her. Wasn't this his day off? Glancing quickly over to Priscilla, who was setting up her own fortress, his face rapidly switched into a scowl. "I'll be back...Hopefully." Almost looking like a disappointed 10 year old, he begrudgingly marched over to a pretty brunette (Icis) and January, sliding his feet in the sand. He only signed up for the job because he knew working for the Sonata's would piss Priscilla off...But it quickly backfired on him. He hated rich snobs as much as she did...At least it paid well.
As each step brought him closer to the little she-devil, he questioned his life choices. Did Priscilla really have to set up so close to her? So close that he could hear her pathetic cries for help? It almost sounded like a prepubescent boy..girl..teen thing. He wasn't even sure the Sonata's were human. He was getting closer and closer to spending a day with January. That meant sitting in the sun and doing absolutely nothing. A complete waste of a day off. Hopefully someone she found "suitable" would show up, maybe some poor boy wishing to flirt with her or something. He didn't care who. It was surprising the Sonata's even accepted him as a bodyguard, considering how he looked and his background. Not that they knew much about his past, but it was obvious he wasn't some rich feather head. Glancing from Icis to January, Rath half-heartedly crossed his arms. What in the world was January even wearing? And did she come here in that box thing? Still, he didn't raise his eyebrows or pay any particular attention to her clothing or mode of transportation. He might be accused for something ridiculous. "What's the problem here?" His voice was nearing monotone and he resisted every notion to roll his eyes, causing his nostrils to flare out instead. That was intimidating, right? This brunette girl wasn't even half bad looking...And she had enough sense to mess with a Sonata - something Rath would totally do if they weren't his employers, but after this incident, he might be fired if he was caught anywhere near her.
x~x~x~x~x~x~Priscilla Viniva It was a real damn shame she couldn't persuade Sothen or Rath's younger brother to come to the festival. The two anti-socials stayed back at home instead. Or maybe went horse riding. Who knows? Those two were thick as thieves nowadays, and she and Rath were getting along quite well in their own way. Still, she wished Sothen would come flirt with the ladies. Rath could certainly help with that. Dumping all of her beach supplies on the ground, she wore a satisfied smirk on her face: this was her territory now. Priscilla merely grumbled in response to Rath; she didn't give a rat's behind what he did as long as she didn't have to do anything.
Quickly throwing off her beach cover, Priscilla quickly went to work setting up the umbrella and chair. Now, for her final touch, she used the heel of her foot to create a box or a 'fence' around her space. Hopefully it was obvious enough for idiots to leave her alone. Not worried at all about sunscreen, she relaxed in her chair with a fine tool catalog, sipping on some beer coke. OOC: Entering Rath Viniva in contest.

Usagi giggled along with the man. Gosh, when was the last time she had so much fun socializing with someone she hardly knew? "I used to paint my nails all the time!" she told Kade, excitedly. She was actually really getting into this conversation, or rather, was, until Kade suddenly changed the subject. In all actuality, she had no idea what the man was talking about. She didn't feel any tension all of a sudden. Perhaps it just wasn't something she was good at spotting. At least, not from afar. "What do you mean?" she questioned Kade, obviously oblivious. "Is there something going on?" she asked as she looked around the general area. Nope. Nothing. Well, not that she could tell. ------------------------ "Yeah, team Atlantis!" Mitsukai exclaimed as she looked at her teammates. Before she could say anything else to the two younger boys she was caught a bit unaware by the teenage girls chattering. It looked like she had found another teammate too. Mitsukai tried to keep up with what she was telling the new boy, but ultimately gave up. Wow that girl spoke fast. What had Mitsukai gotten herself into? At least her own teammates seemed normal enough. Oh! The other boy was talking now, and she could understand him! "I've played!" she happily told the boy. It had been a while, but that was beside the point. How long it had been was not the question at all! "Oh, do you guys know how to play?" she finally thought to ask. She really hoped they did, especially her own team. If not, she supposed she could teach them, but she'd rather just get to playing!------------------------ "So that's what you're doing!" Elizabeth declared, pointing at the girl. Okay, so that was pretty much what Elizabeth had been doing this whole time too, looks like this girl did indeed know her priorities! Why did she ever doubt her? Oh, but now she was making excuses. That was no good at all! "Don't try to hide what you're trying to do. You already admitted that you're creeping on attractive guys," she told the girl quite matter of factly. "If you're running though, they're not gonna be able to look back at you." she stated. Goodness, did she know anything? You can't just look and not be looked at in return! Where's the fun in that?
Elizabeth was starting to get a bit annoyed, that it, until the girl called her pretty. Elizabeth's previous attitude disappeared, leaving a wide grin on her face. She decided that she liked this girl! At least for now. "Noooo," Elizabeth drug out the word. "You're fine, you're fine. You can come sit over here if you want!" she beamed. ((Sorry for the short posts you guys!))

Wasn't this a sight? Weren't rich people supposed to be classy? This little girl was just swinging her gangly body around with no care for how she presented herself. And all Icis wanted was a toy to play with. Blondie was gonna' have to make up for this... Icis thoughts clouded up a bit as she motioned her hands to crack her knuckles. A habitual trait of hers from the times of bullying her older brother. But, before she could do anything, she was addressed by a bored males voice. The brunette turned to the new challenger with a small displeased stare, only to cover it up quickly with a smile. "Just seeing if this little miss wanted to play some," Icis spoke in a kind of valley girl tone that she found rather funny, she quickly dropped the accent though, "She started to flip out just from me asking to play though." Really... The woman started to piece together that this was no average do-good-er saving a poor girl in distress. He was probably one of her servants she was screaming about. Plus, seeing how bored the man looked... Icis kind of felt bad for making him have to deal with that spineless blonde. Though, Icis was pretty much done with her as well, "You want to take her place? Mr...?"---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Talon was excited that things seemed to be shaping up to be fun. The thought of playing any kind of team sport was absolutely exciting. So when Jeremy began speaking, Talon missed a bit of what he was saying due to a state of blissful imagination. He soon snapped back into the conversation though, after hearing his older teammate's question. "I know the rules," Talon told the group with a sense of pride, he even put his hand on his chest confidently, "I've even played a couple of games with my siblings." Whether or not smacking a ball around a street with a make belief net was actually volleyball was besides the point, the red head knew the rules and how to score and that meant he could play. And it seemed his team could play as well! Well the older one that is. It would be like playing with his older siblings, except she was a total stranger! Ah, that's right, Talon needed to introduce himself didn't he? The teen began to spoke to both his teammates as well as the other red headed boy. "I'm Talon by the way," He greeted with a large, toothy smile, "Lets have some fun!"Maddy really didn't have any clue what was going on. One second he was standing around next to his older sister, and the next he was standing in a group of older, energetic strangers talking about playing some volleyball game. It was kind of off putting, but the boy decided it would be best to stay here than go back to his sister. His eyes darted back and forth as everyone began to talk, waiting for a chance to say his two cents in the matter. But, the only pause in the conversation were to introduce himself and to talk about the game. "I'm Madison," He introduced himself faking a stern voice like his father's, but still with a childish, high pitched tone. Somehow, he felt out of place with energetic people. Even though his sister was a playful idiot, Maddy was a much quieter child. He had to make some kind of impression though. He turned to his female teammate and looked up at her, "I've played with my sisters, so I should be okay." Even if he didn't know the rules, he wasn't going to let them know that. If he showed weakness they might pick on him after all.

Noooooo! Morgan was being dragged away from his book by a midget. While he could have just easily pulled out of her grip, there was no way he could just do that to a kid. Though, it was so tempting when she threw up word after word on him though, but no, he could handle this. He's dealt with worse. Much worse. "Sure." He grinned at Mimi with a shrug. "So if we win, does that mean we're going to be the heroes of this island then?" That's right. He just had to go with the flow, and thankfully, he wasn't the only adult roped in to play with these kids from what he could tell after looking at the rest of the players. Of course, he did feel horrible that he had to look down at all of them. It was time to lock away the panic and time to play it cool. Thankfully, it seemed like it was only Mimi who was the crazy one. Everyone else seemed much saner. "Nice to meet you guys. I'm Morgan. I've played too, but uh, do we even have a net?" Morgan chuckled as he glanced around for one. "If not, we can just pretend that there's one here." He dragged a quick line across the sand with his feet to divide the 'courts' per say before he looked back at the group and asked, raising his hand to slightly above his head. "So, would this be a good height for the net, or are you guys too short for it?".:l Beep l:. Kasie's face immediately flushed red as she quickly stammered to her defense. "What? I'm not creeping on attractive guys. I'm just watching them. There's a clear difference. If I was a creep, then I'd probably be running around, stealing all of the guys' swim trunks and worship them at some funky shrine, but considering how I don't do any of those things, I prefer the term 'observant' since that wouldn't make me instantly a pervert." What? The cat was already out of the bag, so she might as well go all out. Actually, she wouldn't really. That would be a terrible fate to be inflict upon people! "But I'm perfectly fine with them not looking at me though. I think I'd end exploding from embarrassment or something. Maybe spontaneously combust into a bloody mess of confetti, and that's really disturbing. That's why I try to avoid it." Kasie tried to explain with much flailing involved because while boys were amazing to look at, having them return the favor was just... Nope! But, thankfully, this girl wasn't a boy. Just a really pretty girl! "Anywaaaaay, I'm Kasie by the way! What's your name?" She made a change in subject as she wandered over to sit next to the girl. .:l Beep l:. The Dahl family had finally arrived at the beach with the exception of the youngest brat in the family, but it was fine. Alfred was content with letting her roam free just as long as she brought pepper spray with her. In the meantime, the rest of the family should get out of the house and get to know people. After all, they were new around these parts, and even if he had to drag everyone by force, then so be it. Of course, he might have gone a bit overboard with supplies, but it was fine. If he needed to bribe people with food too, that was fine as well. As he was dragging in the cooler, he made sure to check off the list of what they had brought. The miniature grill was being hauled in by a grumpy Anneliese while the umbrellas, towels, and whatever else was supposed to be brought was forced onto the pack mule Alec. That seemed pretty much it, and all they had to do now was set it all up.

Penelope looked around with nothing but an excited smile on her face. Her pink hair blowing in the cool breeze as her and Kenneth walked down the beach. They were looking for a spot a little away from everyone else. One where Kenneth could play his guitar for Penelope and they could sit and talk a little by themselves since she was too nervous to meet anyone yet. They were still new to island and hadn't really introduced themselves to anyone. While she was looking about she didn't notice that her brother had found the perfect spot. Not too far away from everyone but just enough so she could be comfortable. She quietly placed a blanket down. Making sure it was as neat as possible before she took her seat. Her red eyes staying on her brother as she watched him take his guitar out of it's case and plopped down next to her. He strummed the strings a bit and then adjusted them. "Ehh, what song would you like to hear Penny?" He asked still looking at the guitar. "Any song will be fine," She mumbled. Kenneth nodded before pulling a guitar pic out of his pocket and playing her favorite song. Waiting for the girl to start singing the lyrics like she always did.
❤❤❤❤ Brookelle sat under the sun reading a small book. Biting on the end of a pen before she went to go put a few more notes on the top of the page and under the second paragraph.Trying to make sure all the words she wanted to write would fit. Her long purple hair was pulled up and out of her face so she could see a bit better. And her blue eyes were hidden behind a pair of sun glasses so the sun wouldn't hurt them. Her eyes wondering around when she heard the sound of a guitar being played not too far from her. It sounded really pretty and was perfect for the setting in front of her. Or at least she thought so. Looking in the direction of the music she spotted a boy playing. Sighing, Brookelle got up to stretch a little. She had been sitting by herself for awhile now just reading and taking notes. Maybe it was time to find some one to say hello to instead of being so antisocial and keeping to herself.

The cat was rather enjoying the show~! She did pause momentarily to glance down back at the ocean to see if Razer had finished his part of the game or not, but she didn't see hide or tail of him anywhere. Her shoulder slumped slightly in disappointment before she decided that he probably had seen her great catch and decided to run away rather than accept defeat. Ahh, well, Catrina would just have to drop any respect she had for the ally cat! He was all talk and no show! She rolled her eyes and looked back at the scene unraveling, managing to catch the eyes of the pampered kitten hissing and crying for help. Part of her more maternal instincts told her she ought to help, but then she remembered that the Sonatas were notoriously unappreciative and she would probably not get the reward she deserved for saving one of their kits! Nah, it would be a much better use of her energy to spend it on watching the fight. The green-eyed beauty was pretty in play, after all~
But, before she could properly witness this surely attractive and spicy fight, a man had come to interrupt! She scrunched her nose at what was certainly a dog because what else would purposely ruin her fun like that? She tensed her shoulders and glanced between the feline and the man, realizing all too late that this green-eyed seductress didn't realize the danger she was in. Ah, but Catrina would save her! While the Sonata kit wouldn't have given her anything for the use of energy, this sly female may just give her something better~! So, she jumped to her feet and pushed the green-eyed feline back from the dog (Rath).
“Mrawr! The problem is a matter of deception!” She jutted her pointer at him in a pose resonant from her career as a detective and smirked knowingly at the filthy canine, “You, trash, mjau, deceiving this purrfect female!” She shook her head in disgust and looked back at the feline (Icis), proceeding to meow and mewl. Now, of course, Catrina was aware that humans couldn't understand the fine language of cats, but this girl was definitely one so there shouldn't be a problem! Besides, she didn't want to speak human language and have the dog find out that she knew exactly what it was he was hiding!
Mimi's eyes lit up at that – HEROES. He was right! They were fighting against the evil guy and his chosen teammates, then she was on the team of good and thus they were the heroes and that was so cool. She had new, higher bounce in her step, which simply made her way towards the fellow volleyball players again more of a bunny hop than the skip she was maintaining before. “Oh, WOW, if we're heroes, then we have to have a cool theme song too! Can you sing? Can I sing? I don't know if anyone can sing! We should do karaoke before we volleyball because someone has to be able to sing our victory song when we succeed or else it's not succeeding heroically at all and, and, oh, do you hear that; we have theme music and..” And now he was drawing a line in the sand and reminding everyone that they had absolutely nothing to play volleyball with, which just confused Mimi a whole bunch!
She rose her hands in the air beside the group and made this known as loudly as possible, “Whaaaaat? Volleyball doesn't need any of that – we just need to volley balls at eachother until one of us falls over! Has no one ever played volleyball before?” Jeez! Mimi didn't know she was the only one who actually did more than stay at home and fiddle their thumbs all day! She rolled her eyes three times just in case they missed the first two and set her hands on her hips, “I guess I'll have to teach you guys! First,” She pointed at Mitsukai, Merman, and little boy, “You guys need to get on eachothers' shoulders pronto. Jeremy, tall- WHOA, you're tall!” She gaped at him for a moment before shaking her head and continuing, “Jeremy, get on tall guy's shoulders! I'll go get the ball!”
With that said, she went to the closest group of beach goers (The Dahl Family) and went through there stuff with a brief explanation of, “HI! I need to face off against these evil guys who want to destroy the island and I'll be needing.. these!” She held up a beach ball and a package of fireworks at the group and waited for permission to be granted! Because that was what people who didn't want grills thrown at their heads did!
Hmm, Usagi didn't feel anything either.. He guessed that just meant he had it wrong! He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head at her, “Oh, nevermind it, honey! I guess it must be the sun getting to me!” Too bad he forgot his sunglasses at home. Oh, well, Kade wasn't going to fret about the small details anyway. He just shielded his eyes with his hands and cast another glance over the beach while he continued their little conversation, “Did you really? What colors did you like? I used to be really into pastels, but I guess nowadays it looks like that whole black and white deal is back again. Which is pretty, I guess, but I always like to stick with colors anyway. Though Alexander Wang can really make it work, you know? You seem more like a Celine type, though..”
He commented before pausing again to wave at one Stella Hammett. He always appreciated a bluenette and, besides, even if they weren't really friends, she did deliver his mail! “Do you see her hair?” He asked Usagi after he was done smiling at Stella, “I used to have mine even bluer than that! Maybe we should look into a full color job! What do you think? Purple or.. maybe even a bright pink!”
Junior stayed in his crouched position by the kids, silently listening in and giving a quick glance up at Yuri through his bangs just to see if she needed him. Not that he thought she did and it wasn't like he could really do anything for her if she did, but he thought maybe she would want to see that he was still there because he really liked to be reminded of that sometimes. Plus, it was nice to remind someone else that he was there just in case they forgot. He didn't want to get left here or something, after all, not that Yuri had ever really ditched him before. But, who knows! Maybe Erika would be the one to convince her that she could have much better friends and – ah.. June had come up. His frown grew as he noted the conversation above shifting in that direction. He wanted to find a way to get Erika to leave so they could drop the topic because upsetting Yuri was the last thing he wanted, but he couldn't do anything but listen and hope for the best reaction.
Ahh.. Even if she really didn't want a T-Rex sculpture, at least River was happy with her again and that made everything better. Zhi smiled through the disappointment and continued her work happily, looking up at the back of the redhead's head as the girl addressed her. Ah, right, they had been talking about that before. “Well,” She started with her nose turned up slightly as she often did when taken on that 'I'm the teacher' voice, “it is if you want to be considered, you know, a girl. Girls should want to be wives with good taste – calm, obedient, who..” She nodded along because, really, Zhi was just saying the truth! No one could argue that ever!
She opened her mouth to continue, but then something caught her ears. She stilled her hands on a clubbed tail she was molding because she really forgot what a tyrannosaurus looked like. Was that.. singing? She jerked her head to the left and narrowed her eyes at the sight – yes! Yes, someone was trying to show her up! In front of River, no less! She pursed her lips, “....Hold up, Elliot.” She said and shot an apologetic look at River before she stood up. “I need to bring our honor back.” With that said, she marched over to where the newcomers (Penelope & Kenneth) sat playing music, hands on hips and eyes narrowed down at the girl. “..So. A singing duo, hm? Well, honey, I've seen worse.”

Somehow, by some weird miracle, January's cries for help (sorta -- she didn't actually use the word 'help') were answered. Maybe the Harvest Goddess was real? Maybe she should go to thank her after all this was over with...? Nah. Afterall, it wasn't Ferdinando who showed up on a white horse, with his new face, unless his new face was Rath's and then maybe she didn't like her brother that much anymore. Rath wasn't really her first choice, but he was a hell of a lot better than Fat Butler so she didn't care. "Rath!" she cried, extending her arms up towards the dreadlocked man. "Toss her into the water!" That's when the weird cat lady finally stepped in, and inexplicably, she was standing up for Icis? January was flustered for a moment, then she pointed at Catrina accusingly. "Or her! Just toss someone in the water!" She was upset, and the only thing that she wanted now was to someone get splashed.

Everything was going a little too fast for Jeremy to keep up, but a little lag didn't hurt anyone. He had just tried to cement Talon's name in his head, when a little boy appeared and introduced him too. "Hahah, sisters," Jeremy let out a small laugh, just relieved that he wasn't the shortest anymore. This relief was then promptly shaken by the blonde guy who appeared, but more importantly, stood up, revealing that he was huge. The redheaded teen gawked up at Morgan until Mimi addressed him. Jeremy Park was not raised to have very much shame, but he at least had some pride, and that pride was making him begin to feel kind of defensive. "He's not that tall," he quickly tried to correct Mimi as she walked away. "My uncle Alex is taller!" ...Maybe. It was hard to tell, when looking up from below. He could feel his face prickle with embarrassment, but he refused to let these tall people make him feel tiny, so he stared -- not quite glared, he was too unpracticed to properly glare -- up at Morgan defiantly. "I'm not gonna do it."

It wasn't like Yuri tried to be a bad mother. If given the choice, she'd definitely choose to be a good one, like what she remembered her mother to be, or even like her father long ago. But for some reason she was struggling to comprehend, when June's name came up, she just couldn't focus on anything else. Her mind was going into overdrive, imagining him doing all the things Erika mentioned, though everything was a little bit more sparkly than it really had been. For that moment, she could have smiled from the nostalgia, that nice feeling she got when she thought about the past and how perfect it was. But then, Erika said the dreaded word: stable. "Oh, thing's are... stable?" Yuri hated that word, it was everything she wasn't, and it made her think of why he left in the first place, that instability that she brought to the equation. "Oh, good. That's good. Tell him I think that's good!" she smiled nervously. "Stable life, fun, kids, that's good, good, really good. I'm glad! I'm just so... glad." She frowned, then cleared her throat. When she spoke again, her voice felt unnaturally high. "Oh hey, Junior, don't you have that... thing... to do... later?" She felt stupid for trying to use Junior as an excuse to get away from this situation, but she wanted to hide in a dark room so badly she could have cried.

When she got to the chorus of the song, Penelope noticed a girl (Zhi) walking up to them.Thinking that she was just going to talk to her brother about music or something like that. It always happened before they moved so she didn't think that this time someone was coming over to talk to her. She actually felt a little weird about it. She placed her hand gently on her brother's arm so he would know to stop playing for now. Then got up and dusted herself off out of habit. "Umm? I'm sorry?"Her voice a little softer then what it normally was, "Did our music bother you?" Looking over at her brother with a 'please help me' look. But it was useless since the boy was still fiddling with his guitar. As much as she loved Kenneth's love for music she really wished that for once he'd stop getting lost in playing. She didn't even think he noticed the girl. Or it could be that he did and he wanted Penelope to handle things for herself for once. Either way when they got home she was sure to talk to him about it.
❤❤❤❤ Letting a small sigh escape her lips as she continued to walk around the beach. Brookelle decided maybe she shouldn't have left her spot. She wanted to say hi to everyone but she really didn't want to randomly walk up to some one and make them feel weird. Or feel weird herself. She was great with talking to people on any other day but not today. She wanted a shirt to cover up her swimsuit but then she'd feel like she'd get too hot. Her lips pulled into a small frown as she looked around. Maybe it was time to go home? She hadn't been there long but she was really uncomfortable now. Or maybe she would feel better with something to cover up. Deciding maybe that was the best answer she went back to her little spot near the two that were singing and pulled a plain black hoodie that looked like it was a size too big out of her bag. Putting it on and then pulling her hair down so it was flat against her back.

xxxxx x~x~x~x~x~x~Rath Viniva His eyes locked onto the young woman who spoke to him, questioning her intentions. Even he noticed the flash of discontentment on her expression. Was she being sincere in her invitation to him? Or was she merely teasing with him as well? The quick accent just confused him even more; was she mocking January? If so, he found that unattractively rude. January wasn't a peach to begin with, but that was just total disrespect. It was a step over the line. Unable to successfully decipher her facial expressions, Rath figured it was at least polite to give her his name; even if she hadn't extended the courtesy herself. "Rath. Would you care to--" And suddenly, another piece of work, à la Nirvani, (seriously, what was in the water around here?), stepped between the two.
Suddenly a finger in his face, Rath could barely keep up with the odd character. As his eyes ventured passed the finger, gaze was met with narrowed eyes that belonged to a very human face. Yet the words...Were off. There had to be some sort of mental disorder at work here. He hardly heard January's enthusiastic cry towards him, but it was the first time she has shown any sort of appreciation for his work and it was noted for arguments later on. It was a multitasking chore to understand the words flying out of cat-woman's mouth and to...just look at her. He wasn't sure if his brain could handle so much eccentric behavior, and this woman looked to be as old as Priscilla! He couldn't fathom how she managed to function in society.
Hold the phone.
His slightly agape mouth quickly shut; did she just call him trash? TRASH? He wasn't sure if this was an all time high or an all time low in his life. Cat's liked trash...Right? But...This feline inspired female seemed pretty damn pissed off. Either way, nobody, nobody, was going to call him trash and get away with it. "Who the hell do you think you are?" What little amount of patience the young man had was gone by this point, and his second nature was kicking in. This cat was messing with the wrong street boy. His brows furrowed, he was about to take a step closer to the woman with his own finger raised when the shrill voice of January brought him out of his rash rage. 'Just toss someone in the water!'
"You got it ma'am!" Taking this as an opportunity to escape the escalating situation, - maybe it was actually a good thing Rath intervened here - he quickly spun around and scooped up the skinny blond teenager. He would get his rage out by sprinting towards the cold water. Bracing himself for a barrage of pathetic assaults from the Nirvani royal brat, he hardly made it a few steps before tripping over a leftover sand castle from one of the children.
x~x~x~x~x~x~Priscilla Viniva Meanwhile, Priscilla had browsed through the pages of the catalog at least three times and sipped through five TWO beers, she decided it was time to venture out. Y'know, live on the wild side~ Stepping off the towel, the woman was horrified by the burning sensation of the sand on her feet. It was a good thing she was quite buzzed from her drinks, or she'd be feeling the growing sunburn on her skin. Making her way steadily to the shoreline, Priscilla stopped mid stride at the sight of the black hooded figure (Brookelle)."Woa there missy! Aren't you warm?" Leaning in to her personal space, the mechanic flashed a smile. What was this girl thinking? She could get a heat stroke! And she was such a little cutie! It was a shame to hide like that, especially on such a nice day like this one.
Plopping herself down next to her, the older woman let out a sigh of relief; walking was so difficult sometimes! All the obstacles and children and beach balls and stuff! They should go swimming; yes, that was a great idea. But best to approach it slowly of course; the girl was hardly in swimming attire! "I am Priscilla. By the way." Now where was her drink? Oh yes...Back at her spot. Now that she thought about it, Rath wasn't going to be too happy when he finds out she drank his share too. Ah well~ He was too busy stealing all the women-folk from Sothen. That pig.
