"I will do everything in my power . . ."
The VTOLs had separated apart and men were climbing out to prepare to enter the building. The last of the VTOLs hovered over a nearby building and dropped off Garenth as it then continued forward towards the ground below. It landed and awaited Arwin and Selene to climb out the back of the VTOL before lifting back into the air.
Selene looked around as she stepped out of the VTOL. They were placed near the front of the building. "Okay then. Arwin, I know you don't like me being in charge, so I am going to be very upfront with you. Go do your thing, but please . . . PLEASE, don't kill anyone. I am going to see if I can catch up with our targets by going a different route." Selene pulled the sensor specs over her eye and looked around the building, looking for the signatures through the walls. Once she located the signals, she darted into the building, using her enhanced agility to further run towards the group, hoping to reach them before Arwin does.
Arwin just rolled his eyes at Selene's plea to not kill any of the targets and pulled his shotgun forward, prepping it for fire and slowly walking into the building. He pulled the spec down over his eye and smiled as he walked towards the target. "And now the hunt begins. How many marks will I get to place on my weapon today?" Arwin laughed a bit and started to move through the building using normal routine.
Garenth walked across the roof of the building and approached the edge of it. He continued to move along the edge of the building until he found a good position that granted a large enough vantage point over the back doors of the building. He knew that Selene and Arwin were going in through the front door so he would need to be the lead man on the back door. Placing his rifle on the edge of the building, he laid along the top and then lowered his own sensor spec, gaining sight of the targets within the building. He then moved himself to where he could look through the scope of his rifle and awaited their exit.

“Never Assume I’m Alone” Erik ran up to the back door and opened it, not even thinking to look out the window to see what was out there before exiting. As he walked out, he noticed just what the group was about to run into. "Back inside!" He yelled as there was a quick laser sound came from a nearby building and Erik dropped to the ground, a burn mark on his lower back. The two twins spun around and went back into the building, obeying what Erik had said before he fell to the ground. It was obvious he was still breathing, but he wasn't moving. “That’ll Just Be Your First Mistake”

felt the phone vibrate and checked it before Erik left the building. She was about to warn everyone about Anna's problem when Erik fell.Lisa moved quickly, grabbing one of Erik's legs and dragging him very unceremoniously back into the room. When she got him in, she yelled, ", Nick or Someone, help me support this dead weight. We need to get the ******** back. Oh. And Anna's mute without powers."

 When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick moved over to help Erik back inside as she called for help. He started to work on lifting him up a bit nicer than Lisa drug him in. "Ok lets try getting to the second floor. The stairs are right here so hopefully we can maybe get somewhere from there," He said looking at them. He logged in the mention of Anna being mute but didn't really think much about that. He was more worried about trying to find a way out of this.
Instead be but a window into your soul, whether there light or shadows hide;

 Natalia Lucile Menard Princess? Ha ha ha. that's ridiculous. There are no princesses here, and i'll kick your ******** a** if you suggest otherwise.
"Whatever the hell you're doing, get on it people," she yelled. "Is anyone here trained to fire a shotgun or submachine gun?" She asked. They were vastly outnumbered, and having a second gunner would make a world of difference here. She would have preferred not to offer the smg, but it had relatively light recoil. She continued to keep her eyes on the passage behind them. This s**t was fun, but she didn't much like the idea of having one man down in a couple minutes of the job. She pulled open a trash bin and hid her grenades in it. If they were firing energy weapons that s**t was going to be a liability really quickly. Besides, it would be easy enough to shoot the trash can later if they were followed in the right range.
Oh, you're a smart one, aren't you. ... are you quite done talking?

 The smallest lark could carry it, Anna heard what Nick said and started up the stairs pretty quickly. I just hope these guys don't chew each others heads off while this is going on, but what happened earlier is not a good sign. She figured it would be good to try to at least get some distance and perhaps they could find a way out from there.

"I will do everything in my power . . ." Selene continued through the building. She was catching up to the group quite fast and she knew that she needed to get to the group before Arwin did. Bren would most likely want to try and talk with this group before things got out of hand and that is what she would try to accomplish. She spun around a corner and saw the group going up some stairs. "Wait. Hold for one second!" Selene immediately lowered her rifle, taking a stance of neutrality so to speak.
Arwin continued to walk through the building, making his way through the hallways that led towards the back of the complex. He continued to watch both Selene and the group of people. As he continued to watch them, he noticed that Selene had stopped to speak with the group, or at least that is what he was guessing. "What are you up to Selene. Have you became like Bren? It wouldn't surprise me, considering you are so attached to him. Hmm . . . Maybe I can end two birds with one stone." Arwin laughed a bit and continued through the hallways, a little over halfway towards the group.
Garenth raised his head from the rifle to look at what he had accomplished. Even on stun the gun tended to overheat after a single shot and needed a few seconds to cool down. His accuracy was true though. The shot had hit a target and collapsed to the ground, but now it looked as though the rest of the group retreated back into the building and took the man with them. Well at least now they would be slowed by the 'dead weight' of the paralyzed target. After the gun had finally cooled down, Garenth returned to looking through the scope, preparing to fire upon the next person that left the building. "To make sure his goal's are completed"

"Through Darkness or Light . . ." Elizabeth twitched a bit when their Employer Lisa dragged Erik in by the foot. She walked up behind Lisa and whacked upside the back of the head. "Could you be anymore rude!" Elizabeth just glared at Lisa for a moment before walking over to Erik to try and lift him. After Christina finished shaking her head, she too went over to help Elizabeth lift Erik. As they started heading up the stairs, they heard someone pop around the corner and yell at them to stop. They didn't even want to turn around. If this was a person with the men who took out Erik, there was no telling what they would do to the group if they actually did stop. Not to mention they didn't know if the person was by themselves or not. ". . . We Will Not Back Down."

"Look, these people don't have qualms about torturing people." She said, remembering the tear gas episode. "I did my best to get the b*****d out of harms way, so you bitches should be a little more thankful. Anyways, we need to be moving goddamn it." She said, letting the others support Erik. "Ren Fair. I'll take the spare gun if it's still offered." She ignored tom b***h back there. She didn't trust these ******** as far as she could throw a truck.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick more or less ignored Lisa's words to the others. He was used to her 'b***h mode' so it barely phased him. After helping the twins get a hold of Erik, he was about to start heading up himself when he heard Selene. He looked backed at her and wondered why this time they decided to talk first...He stayed at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Lisa to start heading up.

"The only way you're ever going to get a gun, Ms, is if you get it right between the brows. Now move your skanky a** up those stairs." Natalia said, rolling her eyes. Natalia moved towards the woman who spoke to them. "Last time you shot first and asked questions later. Why the change in policy?" She said, her smg at her hip, looking somewhat non readied, while in reality she was very ready to shoot that trash can and really ******** this hallway over. She blocked the stairs, pushing nick up them and standing in between the group and Selene. She shot him a glare that meant "move your a** to safety". "Why the hell are you doing this? Are you some form of terrorist? Or are you guys just wanting power user genocide or something? What the hell?"

The smallest lark could carry it, As Anna made herself to the top of the stairs. When she got there she looked around and started to walk ahead some looking for a way out. She stopped at one point she heard a sound much like a normal person. She walked a bit closer to the sound slowly but stopped herself and decided to wait for the others.

Selene kept her rifle close. The emotions in the air seemed really tense. She worried that maybe these people would open fire on her if she said even one wrong thing. "I apologize about our first meetings, although I was not the one who was after you. Our commander was just following his orders. After talking with one of the more level headed P.U.s, he has been trying to change his ways to go about all of this." Selene kept herself ready, but hoped that the woman standing before her would listen to reason.
Arwin came around a corner into a somewhat darker hallway. He saw Selene up ahead and she was stopped most likely talking with the power users. He couldn't see any of them, but he decided to stop anyways. Maybe he could turn this to his advantage. He leaned against the wall and waited, just listening to her to see what she would do and what the power users would say in response.
The activity in building seemed to come to a stand still. Some of the targets were heading up the stairs but it seemed that Selene had caught up with them and was trying to communicate. Or at least that was his assumption since they were both just standing there. Returning his attention to his rifle scope, Garenth resumed watching the exit of the building, making sure no one left out the back.

"Through Darkness or Light . . ." The twins just got to the point where they ignored the other girl and worked towards getting Erik away from this new woman that had appeared. All three of them were absolutely useless without access to their powers. They had no natural fighting training except Erik who had a little bit of marksmanship training. They needed to try and stay away from the fight as much as possible. ". . . We Will Not Back Down."

Lisa was glad that the twins decided to listen to her leadership. She kept moving only to hear renaissance fairs extremely rude refusal to let her have a way to defend herself. that b***h. If she weren't right next to an armed enemy then lisa would have given her a piece of her mind. As it was, though, she kept moving away from the military b***h. Better to not risk another tear gas episode.
