He thought about it for a second, then put his glass out, clinking it against hers. "Sounds good," he said. "I'll drink t'that," he decided, downing his water. "Especially the skinnydippin part! Jack, I never even THOUGHT t'try that one! Hey, let's grab some pop, towels, a radio and some bug spray an' go do that next!" Yes, he was serious. One hundred percent serious. You could tell by the bug spray comment.

Lark was mid-sip when he suggested they go skinny dipping, and her eyes grew wide as dinner plates as she choked down the mouthful of water. She hadn't been expecting to go now - or with anyone when she finally found the courage to do it. Part of her didn't really think he was up for it, and after extolling the pros of getting into trouble Lark wasn't keen on backing down. Surely he wasn't serious. "F.. fine, yeh, sure. Now?"

He glanced at his watch. "Well, lemme pick up my clothes first--then by the time we get back t'campus it should be dark enough," he said cheerfully. "So yeah! Now! Relatively speakin," he added, since clearly they had a few stops along the way to make. "Y'done eatin?" he asked.

Lark paled slightly. He was serious. Of course he was serious. "Y-yeah. Done eatin'." Oh Jack, what was she doing? Screw it. She didn't want to think too much about it, and if she chickened out later, well. No. She wasn't going to chicken out. Probably. "Let's .. let's do it, let's get goin'!"

He absolutely picked up on that hesitation, but--unlike his old self, he was going to see just how far she was willing to go before chickening out on him. He raised a finger and got the check, paying for their meal and standing to help Lark out of her seat. "It won't take a second t'get my clothes--she should have them done by now," he said as he led her away from the restaurant and to Casino Royale. "I think it might be easier t'go in with a swimsuit, then shuck it when we're in the water, whaddaya say?" Okay, a slight concession. He wasn't TOTALLY mean.

Okay. That sounded like something she could handle. Not stripping down beforehand took away a lot of the reasons she was holding back from going gung-ho about this whole situation. With that little issue resolved, Lark felt a lot more comfortable about it. "Sounds great t'me," she chortled, already at ease as she walked alongside him. "If we get caught.. aw, Jack, I ain't even gonna worry about it." Lark shrugged her shoulders and skipped ahead for a few steps before turning to face him, walking backwards as she did so. "Where we even gonna go? Y'got any idea? Never did look at any scenery 'round campus first time 'round."

"There's a lake, we'll go t'the most wooded, least likely t'be visited part," he said--because he'd been there before. What? He used to date a mermaid. "Gimme a sec," he added as they got to the casino--he ran in and came out with his bag of clothes. "Now, back t'the dorms t'get our things--" Then he looked at her. "An' no tellin, alright? This'll be our secret." Which made it seem even more risque. Especially when he said it with eyes that gleamed with anticipation.

"I ain't tellin' nobody," she grinned impishly, letting him lead the way back to the dorms. Once there they parted ways, and it didn't take her long to switch into her swimsuit before pulling her clothes on over them. She yanked a six-pack of soda from her little fridge before grabbing a towel.
This felt crazy, but it was awesome at the same time. She was nervous, but she trusted Roch not to do anything unsavory. He had a wild streak a mile wide, sure, but he wasn't bad. Or maybe he kind of was, and Lark could appreciate that.
Locking the door behind her, Lark tooled around in the main foyer of the reaper dorm as she waited for Roch.

Roch came up from his floor wearing a pair of baggy black and white swimtrunks, flipflops, and carrying a bag of snacks and pop himself. He hadn't bothered with a shirt. For all intents and purposes it just looked like he planned on going swimming. Which was perfectly normal.
"It's this way," Roch said, offering his hand before heading to the lake. It was getting dark, which was good, because he was positive that her blush was going to be bright enough for them to see in the dark with.
And just as expected, the area he led them to was completely empty of creeple, and just waiting for them.

As she usually did, Lark let Roch take the lead. It was nice and mindless and she didn't have to think about what she was about to do.
"S'nice here!"
Nestling the drinks along the water where they'd stay cool, Lark stepped back and tossed her hat down on the ground. The towel soon followed, and while she was wearing a bathing suit, Lark lifted her chin in Roch's direction.
"Yer not allowed t'peek, Roch. I'll sock y'right in th'nose if y'try anythin', too right, y'know I will."
That being said, Lark slipped out of her shirt and pants and folded them up nice and neat before placing them a few yards back from shore.
"Y'promise?"

"Okay--if YOU do one thing for me," he said, looking at the area intently--as if almost wanting to run. "Before y'strip--can I get a hug?" he asked.
This place had a few memories. Not enough that he'd run flat out, but enough that he needed a reminder that it was over.

Lark's expression faltered for just a moment. She wasn't sure what was going on in that head of his, but it didn't look like it was fun.
"'course y'can," she approached him and immediately wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Yer gonna be fine," she murmured against his chest before glancing up at him with a reassuring smile. "W'both are."

He hugged her back, letting out a sigh. She was a lot different from Amphi, which was good. It kicked his brain back into the present. "Alright! I'm better," he said, pulling away with a grin. "Now, no peekin, either of us, in fact why don't I go in first?" he offered. "That way if we got bitin' fish, I'll find out about it before you do?" he offered, kicking off his flipflops, then digging through his bag.
He pulled out a little floatie, putting pop cans on it, then putting it in the water before heading into the water himself. A few seconds later his swimtrunks hit the shore near her. "Alright, I'm in!"

Lark choked as those swimtrunks hit the shore nearby.
Well.
Roch was naked in the lake. Naked. In the lake.
She waded in a few feet, narrowing her gaze on Roch.
"Y'said no peekin', n' I didn't peek so y'jest turn yerself around, mister."

He laughed and turned so his back was to her. "I'm not lookin," he promised, looking out over the lake and trying to imagine it--
What? Just cuz he wasn't looking didn't mean he was any less of a teenage boil. "So... y'done yet?" he asked.
