There was a gentle softness that had entered Yuzuki’s eyes when Kori came up to her, out of breath for a while and looking as though she was about to cry. They came for her. Her team mates actually came for her. She looked over at Yuichi and offered a bit of a nod in his direction before she felt a pair of arms wrap around her and pull her into an embrace. Yuzuki’s eyes went wide for a moment, she blinked a few times and had to raise her arm gently to place it against the tree so as not to fall over by the sudden and unexpected show of affection by someone. It had been a long time sense that happened to her and at first she wasn’t sure how to respond. Though shortly after Kori started to sob Yuzuki raised her arm and wrapped it around her friends back and returned what was given to her. She smiled and closed her eyes as she leaned her forehead against her friends.
”Aww~ our little Ice Queen seems to be melting a little bit.” She teased playfully a little, not to poke fun but more to lighten the mood that seemed to have gone strangely intense for a moment. So… this was what it was like to have friends… she had almost forgotten it completely. ”Thanks for coming to save me.”
At that point in time what more could she say? Her friends just risked their lives for her, at least she assumed they were looking for her, they were headed in the direction that she was in so even if they hadn’t they would have come across her sooner or later, then again given Kori’s teary response to finding her it was pretty safe to assume this was the case. Yuzuki pulled her hand off of the tree and brushed the tears that were flowing out of Kori’s right eye with her thumb. Yuzuki opened her eyes and looked over at Yuichi before bringing her hand up and petting Kori’s hair, partially to try and calm her down a little bit.
”Let’s go home, guys…”
