Antiope powers up.
Antioped laughed at Zuri's comment; so they were thinking along the same lines here. Her laugh had upset her rhythm and her focus slipped.
Even though she tried to dodge Zuri's attack, she didn't do quite as well as she should have and took some of the damage. Man did it hurt. She winced as the spear made contact and coughed out a laugh. "Welp, so much for keeping pace with you." Antiope steadied herself and took the opportunity to pull herself together.

Zuri smile, glad that she was able to make Antiope mess up. That meant they were one step closer to being done with this practice battle. She went to attack Antiope and missed, righting herself with a laugh of her own, however her miss caused her to scrap up her leg. Great now she was hurting herself. She had been too cocky with that one, she knew better then that and wasn't going to let it happen again! "It seems we both are out of step." she said trying to her mind back together.

Zuri receives 12 dmg!
Antiope launched what she hoped would be the finishing move. She was getting worn out really fast and this dance was getting particularly sloppy at this point. Zuri had missed her last attack, and Antiope was grateful for it. She didn't know how many more attacks she was going to be able to handle.

If that attack would have hit her that would have been it, it was a strong one, that she knew. However it missed. Zuri wasn't sure if it was a good one or not. This was taking forever! She went towards Antiope again. She knew it wouldn't be good enough to finish the battle, she was to tired for an attack that strong, but it would do something hopefully!

Antiope skipped her way out of another attack, though she was feeling a little pouty that Zuri continued to evade her attacks. Just land already. She shook off her pouting and silently scolded herself for thinking that. Of course she wanted the battle to end already, but she wouldn't want to wish harm on Zuri; that was just plain mean.
Antiope finished her scolding and took her stance, waiting for the next move.

Another dodge? Really? It was like they were dancing about again. She knew that if Antiope got one more good hit in she would be done for. She just had to try and make sure that she got some good hits of her own before that happened. Again she rushed towards Antiope.

Perhaps it was due to the fact the other was getting frusterated or that the battle had been going on for awhile. Either way Antiope managed to dodge again. Gathering her strength again as she hoped to be able to land a blow in her next exchange of moves.

They were just playing with each other now. In all actuality they had been playing with each for some time. She attempted to attack one more time, and maybe end this once and for all. They both needed it to end, and she could tell. "Getting late isn't it." she said with a half smile.

Her attempted at dodging was only partially successful perhaps it was the girls words that had made her lose her concentration. It had been a funny remark though, as they did this deadly dance neither one being able to land a hit on each other until this moment.
"I suppose you are correct." Antiope stated as she powered up her magic spell using water to launch an attack straight at the girl. This needed to end soon, her own body was bruised and tired from having to concentrate so hard.

Okay, so her last attack hadn't be as successful as she wished but at least it hit! That was more then she had been doing lately! Then a strong water spell came towards her which she was barely able to dodge, but thankfully she did with no damage. Faster then she thought she could move at the moment Zuri went in for another attack while Antiope was hopefully distracted!

Though she was able to dodge she was finding ther her attacks were getting weaker...or in this case missing their mark entirely. Lifting her hand she sent another wave of water but felt her side step stagger sending the spray widlly off its mark. Shaking her head it was hard for her to focus as she was getting fiarly weak.
Should she conceed defeat to this young woman? She was not yet ready to admit this yet...but would see how her opponent reacts to her obvious weakening.

Seeing that the water attack missed Zuri tried to take the opportunity to attack, however missed just as wildly. It seemed as if their dance was continuing, though more then just dodging it seemed as if they couldn't even hit each other! This had to end soon, she knew that, however she couldn't bring herself to giving in. This girl had given her the title of a lancer, she had to prove that she was right in doing so.

Both women were getting tired it seemed, as one attack after another was being dodged or their aim was off the mark. It made for a battle to become frustrating, but at the same time she was only able to persevere and hope that her next attack would finish this spar.
Gathering her strength and power she summoned another blast of water to come at the hybrid girl. Putting everything she had behind it as if to prove to herself that she wasn't weak.
