Takeo glanced behind him to see the source of the noise and watched as the woods closed off behind them. He stopped, interested in the forest's actions. Mitsuko's words spoke volumes to him, making him aware of his teammates again. He calmed himself, trying to focus on slowing himself down for a moment.
His step back allowed him to see Naomi begin to fall toward him and he readied himself to catch her, but she did it for him. He looked up at the forest walls again, checking them. They looked pretty sturdy. The type of wood that wouldn't burn easily. He doubted he could make this forest burn for long anyway, something about it was bothering him. "I don't think we can retreat now. And I don't mean to worry you guys, but I think the forest wants to draw us in farther." Takeo realized how silly his words sounded once they left his mouth, but its all he had at this point.

Mitsuko nodded to Naomi. "Y-yeah. Just caught me off guard is all." She was having trouble speaking, but managed to catch herself shaking and stop it. She shook her head and looked up at Naomi with a smile. "I'm sure we'll be fine, just gotta plan ahead." She released some of the grip on her kunai, feeling the pain in her hand. As Takeo spoke about the trees, it kind of made sense to her. "So whoever it is want's us to go to them. We don't have much of a choice at this point. We might as well continue forward." She stopped for a second and thought. After a few seconds, her eyes widened. "Did anyone else think that this might be the doing of the Senju? Think about it, a forest springs up out of nowhere, they know the sharingan's weakness AND the forest is moving around by itself. It would make sense." She crossed her arms and continued to think to herself.

That assumption did seem plausible enough. Although, what would be the motive? There has already been so much desolation on each side, why continue? With such parlor tricks as well! Naomi sighed and ran her fingers through her long black ponytail. "Well, I still feel we should leave it as unknown. If we place the blame and become too prepared to fight one thing and end up fighting something completely different, it won't work out to well." Her eyes were stern and thoughtful. "I do agree with you though, Mitsuko. We will keep that idea in the back of our minds." Naomi nodded respectfully in her direction. Takeo kept watch on the trees around them, looking for their adversary. He listened to Mitsuko's thought process and nodded. "I agree with Naomi. Let's not jump to conclusions yet, though it is pretty likely."
After assuring himself they were alright for now, he turned back to them. "Alright so what's the plan, Naomi?"

Mitsuko was in thought, but she nodded. Naomi seemed the predominate leader so far. She took a deep breath in, holding it for a few seconds, then exhaled slowly, relaxing herself. "That doesn't explain the roaring though..." She mumbled to herself, still in thought. "Maybe it's whatever destroyed our old village...perhaps that's what created this forest...whatever it was must've had immense power..." She caught herself mumbling and looked up at Naomi, waiting for a response.

~Eyes of Ice~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Naomi sighed and looked behind the group at the wall of vegetation that prevented them from retreating. With a shrug of her strong shoulders she flicked her eyes between Mitsuko and Takeo. "We obviously can't go back the way we can," She motioned the the surrounding area. "Or go around in a different way, so we must follow the path that will lead us to the problem." Naomi explained with an air of slight nervousness. She couldn't use her Sharingan which was a big deduction in her battle strategies. "Whatever is out there is still a dangerous mystery." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OOC sad (ready to move along if Mitsuko and Takeo are))

Mitsuko nodded. "Simple enough. Guess we don't have much choice than to walk blindly to our death's." She said sarcastically, shrugging and walking forward. She hated the situation they were in so much, but she needed to play it cool so she wouldn't get distracted. She peered eerily around the forest, trying to keep focused on everything at once.

(Human to show size comparison to the genin) As the group stepped forwards a massive figure would enter there line of sight, a bear that could easily swallow any of them whole with little to no effort,.... that was if it wasn't currently being constricted by a torrent of vines and plant life. The Massive beast was almost hog tied as it struggled on the ground, huge tree vines as thick as people constricting the beast's paws, while arm thick vines wrapped around its body and neck; the beast letting out savage roars as it struggled against the Vines and roots.

Takeo followed Mitsuko's train of thought, but at least he had an answer here for one of their mysteries. "I doubt its whatever attacked our village. That monster used blue flames to destroy our village. This forest doesn't seem to be connected to it."
He smiled wryly at Mitsuko's happy thought. "Well at least try to make it work for it right?" He continued to follow Naomi down the path until they reached the source of the roaring, a giant bear, one of a size he hadn't seen before. "Huh", he muttered, barely audible above the roar of the beast's cries. This thing was being constricted by the forest, whereas the plant life parted for their passage.......Whatever wanted them to come was making sure they made it without setting off any of the forest's defenses. "We should keep moving, you two. Don't want to be close if he does get himself free."

She felt a surge of pity and empathy and all she wanted to do was free the savage beast. Her footsteps slowed as she gazed at the bear sadly. Her hand reaching forward, wanting to cut through the vines. She looked to the group with sad eyes, but as quickly as the emotion came, it went. They had a mission, and no matter what, they had to continue along with it. With a strict and solid: "Right.", Naomi continued moving forward, forcing herself not to look back at the struggling bear. Her movements were still slow and unsure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mitsuko looked at the bear for a moment, a worried expression. "Seems like we all have different opinions about it, but that bear will cause trouble if it gets free." She stated. "I don't mean to be paranoid, but we can't exactly trust the forest to protect us, as much as we want to. It might be beneficial to get rid of the bear now, either release it and lead it away..." She looked at the bear, then to Naomi who seemed to have an air of doubt about her. "...or kill it where it's at. If you'd rather just leave it, I don't care either way, i'm just not interested in being eaten an hour later." She began walking forward with the rest of them, but more slowly and at the back, waiting for a reply.

Takeo turned as he heard Naomi's tone and her answer. His gaze quickly shifted to Mitsuko. She was younger than he and Naomi, that he could tell, so she still had that tendency to blurt the obvious.
"I'd rather leave the bear here, still tied. If we set him free, he might turn on us or the forest might simply turn its attentions to us. There's no benefit to us to help him right now. Besides if we go take care of whoever the forest is being controlled by, he should be freed and free to go about his way. And if he's still angry about things then at least we won't be around to be an option for him to vent on."
He turned back ahead and continued to walk towards the center of the forest. "Trust me, we're better off not getting involved with him right now."

As the group started to walk away from the others the bear continued to roar, the sound of snapping wood could be heard for a moment as the roots holding the bear snapped as the beast struggled against it, only to be replaced with more a moment later; the bear only getting to its feet, ripping some of the vines out of the ground as it did so before it was captured once more.

Mitsuko suddenly stopped and turned around when the bear broke the wood. She crossed her arms and looked back at Takeo, cocking an eyebrow, then to Naomi. She backed up from the bear, distancing herself while keeping a close eye on it. "Uuuuh huh." She turned around again and caught up with them, still keeping one eye on the bear every now and again. "So where to now then?"
