I actually frequent a shop that includes that.
Comics, Warhammer, Magic, Yu-gi-oh, pokemon, comics, board games, all sorts of interesting things.
I'm not really in a place where I can afford many comics or interesting games, so free comic day is a great time, especially since usually they have a 7 comic limit for free comics, but the three of us just grab 7 different ones, so we get to enjoy 21 each year.
I'm pretty sure a rather large sum of money goes to buying board games and card games each year. That and magic are why I can't get comics all the time like I'd want.

Yeah, I spend way too much money on magic, despite the fact that I've actually only been playin' for about a year. I already have...*counts* 6 binders full of cards, which doesn't include the 4 boxes of cards I haven't organized yet.
...I've just depressed myself.

i just want to like... throw myself in a pit and stay there forever. i totally forgot about free comic book day and i can't even explain how disappointed in myself i am. i didn't get to go last year because i was invited to hang out with my then roommate. i haven't gone any year before because i'm a pretty new comic fan and didn't even realize it was a thing until last year. and this year i was super pumped for it for like weeks, then the couple weeks before i just totally blanked. and now... now i have lost my chance. so i'll just tell myself there was nothing good anyways so who cares... and plus, i'm sure i can find everything online. crying so yeah, i'll just tell myself that.

Aoi the Crossdresser Please bring wellwisher back. I'm sure lots of people miss her here. crying I know I miss her. crying I REALLY DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's light up the entire place!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not going to talk about that in a hobby thread. But you have to stop giving conflicting messages. So, apparently, we're getting 2 boxes of boosters, three way split so 24 boosters each? I honestly have no clue how many boosters are in a box. I've never counted. Personally I'd rather spend the money on Batman and Marvel comics, I'm a fan of Spiderman, Iron Man, and the X-Men. But playing magic is nice too, and I don't have any of the Dragon's Maze cards yet, besides the prerelease cards that they got and didn't want/wanted to give to me. I do love the artwork though from this set. I do like artwork. Also I've seen artwork for the new M14 cards, I love slivers. I don't like what these things look like or that they only work on their controllers slivers.

Marvel for the win. I'm a fan of Iron Man and X-Men as well, though I also read comics like Grimm's and Crossed.

My girlfriend has been friends with me since like late 2005 and now I am her boyfriend planning to be her future husband. Semok i've known since 2005 as well. They are better friends than stupid Wellwisher. I don't even know who she/he/it is anymore. It's sad. TRUE FRIENDS NEVER IGNORE OTHER FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!! Shikume and Semok have never ignored me.
