'I guess we should endeavour to be as careful as it's possible to be, whilst doing what needs to be done.' Fragment said, slightly solemnly, falling quiet as he watched Catalyst moving around, doing what she could for what was left of the body.
For a moment he stepped away, returning by the time the mare had finished. He had a flower in his mouth, and stepped forward, placing it carefully on the ground, and then stepping away, his wings opening and closing as he fought for something to say that wasn't going to sound trite. Instead he gave a firm nod and replied;
'I am. I'm certain. I'm..well I won't deny I don't have nerves. But I am still certain.'

Well, if she had doubted he was prepared for what he was going to face, then she was proved incorrect. Much to her surprise the stallion had taken a solemn view of proceedings and accepted that what they faced was no joke. She'd met others who had jested and made light of the work, who had misjudged and underestimated the skinwalkers - between those who thought they could be redeemed and those who thought they were stronger than the walkers... Well, Lys wouldn't be surprised if she found them dead at some point, whether it be at the hands of her mother or at another walker entirely.
Oh she wouldn't wish harm on anyone, but if they went looking for trouble...
"That is generally how we operate, yes," Catalyst agreed with a small nod, though she was given room and reason to pause as the stallion stepped away and then returned with a flower. She had always taken a practical approach to burials, her only goal to ensure that the eyes and mouth were closed, the expression calmed. She always aimed to protect the dignity of the victim, but it seemed she was oblivious and unaccustomed to the traditions that seemed to exist around burials.
Were flowers a part of this?
She filed the question away for later consideration and once she was satisfied she could receive no further information from the area she gave a nod for Fragment to follow her. It was time to leave this soquili to his rest, and time to locate another...though a part of her hoped that there would be no others to find for a while!
