from the morning

"Water, Sixth Trigram, Kan, or Shui." Choden said, not taking his eyes off of Takashi to even look up at the mass of water. He could smell it, the smell of rain. The child was condensing the clouds and water in the air. He wasn't entirely sure how much it would help him, or even how much the child was making, but it didn't matter either way. If the child tried to flood the area, Choden would just be forced to use the Tree walking technique to anchor himself to the ground. Choden sprinted at the boy, managing to get close to him in a matter of seconds. He'd nearly closed the gap when he decided it was time to stop. He was only about ten feet away, and he was in the middle of the boy's escape route, meaning that he'd be able to close the gap faster than the boy could dodge out of the way. "When fighting on a limited source of land, it isn't good to go to the edge. You'd have found it easier to bring the battle directly to me." He said, turning slightly and widening his stance. He let only one shoulder point toward the boy, while his arms hung between his widened legs, just... dangling there, almost tauntingly loose. "If you don't begin, I'll just knock you off." He said looking at Takashi while his face showed absolutely no emotion.

The speed in which the man moved was impressive although Takashi would never admit it. Getting so close to Takashi got nervous and looked like the man was starting to use some taijutsu or physical attack, "I got to put some distance between us..." Using his quick hand sign the boy began to look like was going to vomit, a few seconds later water erupted from his mouth, a lot. "Water style: Lake Creation!" Hoping to repel the target but still ovverdoing do to his nervousness he released a A-Rank sized massive powered wave horizontally at the ninja. The wave was huge, producing a lot of water and drained a lot of chakra from Takashi, him panting after the wave came out of his mouth. "Maybe I...over did it this time....".

Mizu Soujuu is a technique requiring no hand seals which serves as the building block of all other Suiton techniques. It is the first technique Suiton users learn (many of them discovering it on their own) and is a skill which evolves as the user grows in experience and strength. The skill set includes basic manipulation of water, such as moving it from one area to another, levitating it in the air, or gathering it into a single mass from beads of water around the user, or even from water vapor in the air. Through a mastery of Mizu Soujuu, a Suiton user is able to generate the water needed for their various techniques, naturally drawing on Mizu Soujuu to gather the water necessary before molding a Suiton technique with their various hand seals. (The amount of water generated naturally in performing a technique is the equivalent to the user's rank, so a Genin's understanding of Mizu Soujuu will enable the use of any E-rank or D-rank technique without requiring an additional source of water. However, C-rank techniques or above will require a secondary source of water gained by some other means.)

[Note: Mizu Soujuu does not require chakra to use... it is a natural extension of a Suiton technique which the user draws upon to supply the water needed. However, in places like the desert, or in the middle of a burning building, where there is little to no moisture in the air... a Suiton user cannot use Mizu Soujuu to generate the water needed for their techniques.]

Mist Vision
- Passive
A technique granting the user the ability to see through heavy mist, steam, or any other condition dealing with water in the air, this ability is best used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist. Though it allows the user to see through most conditions pertaining to moisture in the air, the Kiri Shikaku no Jutsu is unable to provide vision through smoke and is considered a passive ability that activates when the user's vision would otherwise be obstructed by moisture in the air condition. Does not require hand seals.

• Water Creation
After performing the necessary hand seals, the user is able to create water using their own chakra as the initial source. When used, the user's chakra is released from their torso and arms, which when coming into contact with the air, draws on and enhances the moisture present there. Water then explodes into existence off of the shinobi and into the air where it levitates around them, enabling them to use water jutsu with the newly created source. The more chakra put into this technique, the more water is created. With a D-rank of chakra, enough water is created (in conjunction with Mizu Soujuu) to enable the use of a C-rank technique without a secondary water source. Likewise a C-rank of chakra, enables the use of a B-rank technique without a secondary water source, and a B-rank of chakra enables the use of an A-rank technique without a secondary water source. However, because the water is already created at this point, the next Suiton ninjutsu used with the water created will not have a Stamina cost. (Without Mizu Soujuu, the amount of water created is one rank lower than normal)

(Note: Creating a B-rank of water WILL allow a user to produce multiple D/C-rank by 20% reduced chakra.. If you create a B-rank amount of water, it will alleviate the stamina cost of the next B-rank ninjutsu technique, or the next C-rank and D-rank technique used.)

He can let it out horizontally being able to repel many things at once or down able to form a column of water which he can rise upon. Choden allowed himself to get hit with the wave, but not to float upward. He remained on the roof, skidding along until he reached the edge of it. "Wall Walking Technique." He said, his voice garbled and unable ot be understood. His hands shot into a focusing sign, and he slid from the top of the roof to the side of it. Pausing for a moment there, to catch his breath as the water shot over the edge clearing him completely, Choden ran as fast as he could around the edge of the roof. when the water had stopped it's flow, he turned and jumped up, leaping high into the air directly above Takashi. His raised both arms, and connected his fists by interlocking the fingers. "My turn." He said, his face emotionless as he aimed to bring the two fisted drop on Takashi's skull. It would easily knock the boy out, and possibly do a tad bit more damage than Choden meant, especially if Takashi didn't dodge correctly and got hit with the shackles on his wrists.

His opponents speed and strength were unreal, being able to get around that giant wave and go on the offensive. Not letting on he was starting to think he might lose this and he was quickly running low on chakra even for him. Before he knew it the attack was right on top of him, his first thought was to use the steam technique but was afraid that it might kill him. Beating him is one thing but killing him would bring great dishonor to him and he still had his goal. As the fists were coming closer to him he quickly formed hand signs then held his hand out. He used the building block Mizu Soujuu from both the water that he had amassed in the air above the monk was in and the water left on the rooftop started form the water prison jutsu around him. He hoped that it would trap the monk and end the battle.

Choden's fists came within an inch of the man's outstretched arm, and would have possibly shattered his hand had it not been for the liquid that surrounded him. It was heavy, heavier than he expected water to be. He was trapped, no two ways about that.

Choden opened his eyes, raising a single hand and began to pray. "Gods, guide my eyes, allow me to see beyond sight, to perceive the life force of this individual, bring about the unlocking of my birthright." He said, starting itno normal prayers. His eyes shifted slightly, a change was going on.

Choden looked at the boy, bringing chakra to his eyes, focusing on them. He wanted to see the boy's chakra, wanted the boy to show him his life, so that Choden could escape, and enrich the boy's life by teaching him a different path. As it was now, the boy's path lead only ot darkness, for disrespect begat anger, anger begat grudges, grudges begat hatred, hatred begat conflict, and conflict begat death. It was a cycle that would only serve to repeat itself over and over again, constantly until there was no one left. One of the veins to Choden's eyes bulged as chakra flowed into it.

Choden willed that his life force be able to free him, so that he wouldn't need to break the child's arm in order to release himself. In his life there had always been something like a referee to call the match, the monks, the bandits, even the academy. So now that he was fighting without someone to stop him, he knew that the only line was death. He didn't want to die, and that was the only thing awaiting him in this prison. His will to survive grew and grew, bringing forth a new found strength, another one of his veins opened, chakra flowing to his eyes.

Now, Choden could see it, the faint beginnings of the chakra system, a light flowing through not only Takashi, but his own arms as well as they were held in front of his face. He could see for an intense distance, seeing completely through Takashi, and his own arms. But it wasn't perfect, it was muddled. It was almost exactly like his sight as a child. A sudden pang of fear rose over him, as he thought that maybe the gods were rescinding their gift of sight to him for dying now of all times. Then a voice rang out in his head, of his master reminding him that his eyes hold a certain strength, a strength that would do nothing but serve the gods so long as he had the will to use it. The eyes that could perceive even the life of another. He remembered the teachings, knowing that the ability to see another's life was one of the most beautiful things and that the gods willed a world where all could preform this. Banishing all doubts from his heart, he let out a howl of triumph. A guttural howl that would have scared the bandits who beat him mercilessly, A howl of worship that would have made the monks look to the sky in praise, and a howl so deafening, even through the water prison it would hurt Takashi's ears. His veins all bulged around his eyes, and they flashed with chakra. "Guuuuuyweeeaaaaahhh!" He roared, his body moving slightly despite the weight of the water. His eyes stared directly at Takashi, and his face was nothing but solemn. He could see the boy's entire chakra system, knew that it wouldn't be long if he managed to break out of the technique that the boy could potentially kill himself by running himself out of chakra.

"You win." He said, closing his eyes and opened them once more. He'd been defeated, and as such he wasn't about to die drowning. His Byakugan shut itself off, he knew he couldn't use it at all, but he had managed to unlock it. In his book he'd won a battle, though not against the boy. "Take this path, and not the path of arrogance and you'll go far child." Choden said, blinking at the boy. His eyes had turned into two pale disks.

Normally Takashi would dancing and rubbing it into for winning but this time was different for him. After the solemn look that was given to Takashi he noitced the pupils of the monk change to two pale plates. Releasing him from the prison he heard what Choden had said about his path, it really shook him up. Turning his back, he didn't want to show any signs of weakness or acknowledge the monk. Just before he left he swallowed his pride, turned around and bowed to the Monk quickly before leaping off the roof, he was speechless. Now pretty much drained of chakra he headed back to sleep and think about what had happened today.

Choden was glad that he could finally begin doing his work, making this world a better place to be by showing people the way to the light. He returned the child's bow, and sat himself on the ground looking up to the sky. "Master, wherever you are, thank you." He said, his face still solemn, but a slight glow of accomplishment and happiness was there, despite no indication. For now Choden just sat there and breathed, taking some of his prayer beads in his hands he thumbed through them, saying prayers of praise as he did so, one for each bead.
PostPosted: Mon May 27, 2013 5:32 pm

"That was one of the best fights I've seen between an adult and a child, and let's just say I wasn't impressed with your feats of strength." A man said walking up to Choden and placing a hand on his shoulder. He was about Choden's age, and quite a bit more experienced. He was a jonin of the village, and a raiton user. "Choden Hyuuga, Hulking Hyuuga who could probably just as easily break an opponent as disable them. You're a raiton user, despite the fact you don't like it. At least with Raiton you can short circuit your opponents rather than kill them. Isn't that right up your alley? Well, guess what. You're going to learn how to do just that." The jonin said, letting Choden continue with his prayers by not waiting for a response. "Electricity resistance, you're going to learn this first. It won't hurt so bad, once you've managed the five months of extreme pain. But then again, you know all about pain, Bandit Gladiator?" The Jonin said, making a hand sign and placing his hand on Choden's shoulder. "Lightning Blast." He said, a smile on his face. The technique forced Choden to the ground, and the jonin followed him, holding it there until the short blast stopped. "I'm going to do that to you, every single day for the next five months. Do you know why?" The jonin said smiling.

Choden fell face first to the ground, placing his hands flat on the ground and attempting to push himself up, but to no avail. He was only barely able to move, his body fighting him as his muscles contracted. "To make certain that I'm resistant to the electricity that my body will produce, making it so that I don't damage myself beyond the damage I deal to my opponent." Choden said as the technique ended and the jonin asked him the question. "Will I know when and where you're going to hit me?" Choden asked, wanting to know so it wouldn't get in his way should he be doing a mission, or sparring with another genin. His body was numb, something he wasn't quite used to. He could still feel everything, but it was an odd tingle, almost a painful twang.

"It'll be when I feel like it, though it won't be during any of your missions. I was told to make you better, not hinder you." The jonin said a smile on his face. "Now, I'm going to teach you a technique called Current Transfer. This will transfer a current from your body, or your weapon to another person, or their weapon. It's great for using it against someone with a weapon when you're defenseless." The jonin said as he walked around Choden to his front. Making several hand signs he took out a kunai, and smiled as it covered itself in lightning chakra. "Current Transfer." He said bringing the kunai down and forcing it into the chain link between Choden's Shackles, sending the current through him. The jonin licked his lips lightly as Choden's body seized. "Now, when you're able to move well again, return the favor, I'm not even going to move this Kunai to make it easier on you." The jonin said, his smile fading and a studious look taking over.

Choden had watched the hand signs well, making sure he saw every last one. He waited until his hands would obey his will once again, and went through the seals, "Current Transfer." Choden said feeling the chakra building up, pain as the chakra jumped from his wrists to the shackles, traveling to the chain links, and up the kunai, causing the Jonin's arm to seize up, makign him recoil and allowing Choden to lift his arms and stand.

" That's good for now, I'll let you recover until you're ready once more, tell me when." The jonin said, rubbing his hand and stretching his arms.

HAYATE UZUMAKI
[Genin] [Shouran] [Uzumaki] [Sensor]

Hayate arrived at the training grounds via the skyrails. He was standing straight up, one foot in front of the other with his hands shoved in his pockets. Most of the kids using them were flipping, rolling, spinning, and acting like they were Sky Kings. When he made it to the ghost district Hayate cut off the flow of chakra to his feet and leaned to the side. He fell through the air and bent his knees with the impact of hitting the ground. It seemed the training grounds were alive today, the clamor and clanging of ninja against ninja echoing loudly throughout the streets. He nodded at his peers in passing and picked his own spot to play in. Hayate tapped the seal upon his arm, summoning his Hidden Arsenal. Hayate had a crap ton of weapons stored within his own little dimension for when he needed to defend himself. But he was no better than any of the other ninja tossing metal around. He knew of a style to better himself and figured it was the one best suited for him. Yate was not a physical fighter, and he chose to battle from afar. There would be times were his opponent would end up closing the distance, and Hayate needed a way to defend himself. The Projectile Method would allow him to do so without getting close. He stood before a few targets, items in hand. One by one Hayate whipped out shuriken and kunai at the targets. There were times that he missed, and many where he hit the target. The more he practiced the better he got. Hayate was able to make his mark each time, even if it was not the center.

"Life ain't that short. Take yer time and experience it all."

HAYATE UZUMAKI
[Genin] [Shouran] [Uzumaki] [Sensor]

Hayate had been at this for hours already, and he had gotten much better. Each time he aimed for a specific point he made it. There was no challenge in just the training, now Hayate wanted to learn the actual techniques. He recalled the first, a simple overhand toss. These different methods would force him to practice throwing in all sorts of situations. There may be times when he is unable to throw in a certain way and knowing all sorts of tricks would definitely help him. Hayate grabbed a knife in hand, holding it by the blade. There was no proper grip on it, to make it easier to balance the weapon. He intended to practice his overhand toss. Hayate pulled his arm backward, holding the blade near his ear. He took aim at the target, the 'heart' of the dummy. Hayate whipped out the knife, letting it go at the proper moment. It was sent careening through the air, end over end. A smile spread to Hayate's face as the soft thump of the blade on wood made contact. He had hit exactly where he wanted. There was another way as well, an underhand method. If Hayate found himself in an awkward position, say upside down, he would still be able to hit the mark. He decided to try just that, and walked over to a wall. Hayate climbed it with chakra and looked at his target, upside down. Yate weighted the knife in his hand and eyed his target. This time he would aim for the head. He whipped his hand out and saw the blade dig deep into its head.

He knew there was a way to hit a target even if he couldn't get a straight shot. There of course were ways to curve it with various tossing methods, but there was even a way to hit a target by first hitting another. The theory was sound, but the application would be the difficult part. Hayate walked to a spot where he was not in a direct line of fire with the dummy. He looked around, and spotted a broken window pane. It was barely hanging on, but it would definitely serve his purposes just fine. Hayate tossed out a shuriken, having it connect with the window pane and bank off of it. The angle was not correct though, for he barely missed the dummy. He moved to a different area and tried once more. The sharp clink of the shuriken against the window pane reassured Hayate for some reason. It spun off in a different direction and sunk straight into the dummy.

HAYATE UZUMAKI
[Genin] [Shouran] [Uzumaki] [Sensor]

Hayate sat against the ledge of a wall, overlooking what used to be a marketplace. He raised a carrot to his mouth and took a bite, swinging his legs back and forth. He had been training for awhile, and he was definitely sweaty. Hayate had taken off his shirt so that he wouldn't make it worse. A noise caused him to turn his head, and then drop his carrot. "Ya gotta be kiddin' me!" The girls were back, and out for blood. "Hayate~" He dropped from the wall and ran, remembering to snatch his shirt in the process. Something went sailing just past his head and landed on the ground. Hayate looked at the kunai, and the tag on it. "Oh hell!" He said as he dove forward and rolled into a ball. An explosion went off behind him. The girls gave off a shrill laughter and continued the chase. Many comical items were thrown at him; a chair leg, a rubber chicken, and even a bowl of noodles. Hayate was growing tired of this, and turned while jumping in the air. A net had been tossed out at him. He tucked in his legs and leaned backward, shifting his center of gravity and spinning just under the net. He reached his hands up and plucked it from the air. The girls gasped, and even Hayate was surprised. A faint smile spread to his face and he focused on sticking his landing. When he did, Hayate spun and tossed the net out at the girls, having it land perfectly on top of them. The net only made them pause for just a moment, and Hayate had to keep sprinting. It was unfortunate he was not paying attention to where he was going. Hayate had run to a dead end, boards blocking his exit. A sudden idea grasped him and he reached for his boomerang. He surged his chakra and directed it to his weapon. The boomerang began to glow and vibrate, and Hayate tossed it before him. It smashed into the boards and sent them flying with a boom. Hayate jumped through the hole and landed, reaching his hand up to catch his boomerang in the process. When he was finished he packed his stuff and took off, thinking about stopping downtown.

"No matter how much time passes
You won't lose your special heart..."

Salome stood in one of the empty streets of the training grounds. She was practicing movements from the day before that her uncle Tetsu had showed her. These were very basic techniques in themselves and much of it was simple. Her uncle called the style, The Heart of Steel and it was something she was always interested in. Salome wasn't fit to be one of those Genjutsu or Ninjutsu types. She always was an Otaku for weapons, but the biggest one that caught her eye was the Sword. When her father was a live, he once said she was nothing like him in terms of combat style.

She began a simple kata, or series of movements. She took her sword, and drew it fast, slashing through the air. The sword made a swooshing sounds as the cut was fast and clean. This was Iaidō, an old Samurai technique. It was traditional for it's surprise capabilities and quick draw. She re-sheathed her sword and did it again perfectly, the sword making the same swooshing sound.

She continued from there, jumping high in the air, and raising the sword over her head. She came down with the sword slashing through the air, a technique that simply called the 'Dragon Hammer Strike.' She turned, continuing the kata, and turned to slash downward and then flicked the blade upwards quickly. It was famously known as the turning swallow cut, as it has been said to cut down a swallow mid flight for it's quick speed. The kata continued to final move, turning and jumping in the air, while thrusting the sword into the air. It was a variation of the Dragon Hammer Strike, called Tragedy. She stepped back and flicked her blade to the side as if she was flicking off blood. She then moved the blade across her body, and the back end of the sword placed against the Saya. She then began to withdraw her sword.

She looked up to the sky and smiled, and did this several more times. The kata was developed by her Uncle Tetsu, a weapons master in the village himself. It was made so the techniques were easily learned and they gave the user a sense of movement and speed while performing the kata. It was like a dance, and it had to be done gracefully to improve form. She stopped several times, and went back, fixing her form as she went along through the kata. She did the kata for over an hour before being interrupted by a very cheerful and familiar voice.

"Ah! There you are Salome-chan, practicing every day I see!" Tetsu said walking through the empty streets. He walked up to her as Salome stood up straight from her stance and put her sword back into her Saya. "Just like your father Ichirou, always striving to get better. Well I see you've done well mastering those techniques, so lets move on to your next lesson." He said drawing his sword. "Now lets get started on using a chakra scabbard, your sword will no longer be just a plain sword." He said charging his pure chakra into the blade. It began to crackle from the rife chakra. "You learned chakra control in the academy, so this shouldn't be to hard. With this you can cut through steel objects." He said charging at a steel pool and cutting through it cleanly. It fell over, making a loud crash.

"Woah." Salome said impressed with the technique. She redrew her sword and closed her eyes. 'Alright... Just like how we concentrate chakra into our feet, I'll try to do it with the weapon.' She thought trying to focus. Her chakra flowed into her hands, but it was not going into the weapon. She tried hard, and the chakra finally extended on to the blade. "Let the weapon become an extension of your soul..." She whispered to herself as she let an even more powerful burst into the weapon. The weapon began to crackle with the chakra, and all Salome could do was smile. She was amazed by the beautiful blue chakra emanating from her blade. "I did it!" She shouted with excitement, but the blade went unstable for a second, almost losing the chakra scabbard. She quickly got back to focusing on the blade, keeping the chakra flow in it. Her inexperience was shown there as she could not completely take her focus off the blade.

Tetsu laughed as she almost stumbled on the technique. "It's going to take some time to get use to Sally. So for now just focus on the blade. Go give it a test drive or something." He said pointing at another steel pole. Salome looked at the pole and charged at it, letting out a small battle cry. She cut through the pole, passing it by completely. She turned and looked at the pole while trying to keep her chakra into the blade. The pole fell over just like the other one had.

With a breath of excitement she finally turned off the Scabbard. She let out an exhausting breath and laughed. "That's some workout, I'll have to get use to it Uncle." She said with a smile on her face. "Of course kiddo. Now lets get to teaching you a few other things." He said walking up to her and standing in front of her. "Get ready and send a strike at me." He said to her with his sword in front of him.

Salome came at him with the Dragon Hammer Strike, but Salome was quickly cut off, as her uncle's sword came to her throat quickly and then he spun around and pushed her away as he sheathed his sword. "Again." He ordered. Salome attacked again, this time coming in with a stab. Tetsu drew his sword, using Iado, blocking and redirecting the strike and then extending his hand to push her way. Salome flew back and was amazed by the cleverness of the technique. "It's the decade of peace my dear. You concentrate your mind, and you can see and almost predict your opponents movements. Now then, your turn." He said stepping back and drawing his sword.

Salome didn't understand the technique really. She stood with her sword in front of her and her uncle came at her with an overhead strike. She moved to block the strike shifted, coming from a different angle. Unable to react fast enough, she stood there and her uncles blade fell right at her shoulder, stopping before hitting her. "Again." He said backing up and starting again. He came in again, same way and everything. She stood there, watching and waiting, and then saw a slight shift in his position. The slash this time came to the body and she quickly turned her sword to block. She stepped forward and spun, using her body and shoving him back. She then sheathed her sword and thought about what had happened.

"Good, good, looks like you got it. Let continue moving on to more clever things." He said in a mischievous tone. "Now were going to combine Iado with the scabbard. It's gonna take some time to get use to, but you'll get the hang of it." He said with a smile. He drew his sword using Iado, but what came out was an amazing light that cracked from the saya as he followed up with diagonal slash with the chakra scabbard. "It's going to take a few tries, so don't get to frustrated. Concentrate your chakra like before." He said going to sit down on a nearby bench and watch.

Salome stood there with her sword still in her saya. She sighed and looked at her uncle and thought even hard. She placed her hand on her hilt and tried to concentrate her chakra into her blade. She could feel it flowing but not completely. She drew the sword, performing iado, but nothing, no chakra was in the blade. She put the sword back in her saya and tried again a few more times. Nothing. She didn't let this frustrate her as she just smiled. She brushed her long red hair behind her ear, touching one of her earrings. She placed her hand on the hilt again and focused. She let the chakra flow naturally this time, being at peace instead of being a bit frustrated. She felt it this time, the chakra was crackling inside of the saya. The sword came out with a blue bright light as she slashed through the air, she bought it back around and slashed again and then turned off the scabbard.

"Alright now go even further the this technique, keep your sword drawn, and activate the scabbard as soon as you slash." He said as he watched. Salome nodded and did as he said. She slashed the sword and activated the scabbard immediately. It looked as if two blades were now swinging in the same direction, a very clever move. "Woah awesome!" She said smiling. She did it again several more times before sheathing her sword and sitting on the other side of the bench.

"Eat." Tetsu said setting down to lunch baskets in between them. "Auntie made them, eat up and rest for a while." Tetsu said opening his and taking out a sandwich and taking a big bite. Salome's eyes lit up and a bright smile grew on her face. "Thank you!" She said reaching for her basket, and grabbing the food. "Just like your father." He said with a smile on his face. The two sat for a while eating lunch together as the day grew hotter.

"No matter how much time passes
You won't lose your special heart..."

Salome and Tetsu sat there in the empty street for quite a while after they got done eating. Salome let out a huge yawn as she stretched her arms out in the air. "Getting tired kiddo?" Tetsu asked taking a sip of his water. Salome moved her hands behind her head and sat back. She put her right leg over her left and let out a small sigh. "So what if I am? It's a beautiful day and I could sleep all day." She said closing her eyes. Tetsu got up from the bench and spoke in a serious tone. "Come on, lets continue, I've got some more things to teach you before the day is over." He said looking at her.

Salome opened one eye and looked at him for a moment. Then she closed her eyes and sighed. "Oh alright." She pouted as she got up. Tetsu drew his sword and put a chakra scabbard around it, the crackling noises echoed through the empty streets. "Alright, now this is pretty useful sometimes. You are going to mold your chakra around the sword to change it's shape, watch." Tetsu said as he changed the scabbard around his sword it into that of a battleaxe. Salome watched as she was quite impressed and it was something she could fool around with. It was then that the chakra appeared to be unstable to her as the crackling was all mixed up. "It's pretty hard to maintain though. So it'll only last for a few minutes. It's fun though, try it." Tetsu said smiling as he turned off the scabbard.

Salome drew her sword and activated the scabbard herself. She stood there for a while, trying to mold the chakra into a battleaxe like Tetsu did. She had trouble alright, she was always able to get the blade of the ax, but not the hilt or the blunt side of it. "This is kind of tough." She said with a small laugh and grin on her face. She thought it through as kept the scabbard up. She tried for about ten minutes before before she could fully change it to a battleaxe. "Finally..." she said turning off the Scabbard. "Practice it some more later, it's pretty fun. Now we are going to do something fun!" Tetsu said with much enthusiasm as she raised his sword in the air.

"Do you think it's possible to launch the chakra that is on your sword at someone from a distance?" Tetsu asked with a sly grin on his face. Salome rolled her eyes and spoke. "It seems you know the answer to that so just say it already." She said being a smart a**. Tetsu sighed and began to speak again. " You ruin all the fun you know... Anyways, yes you can hit people with that pressure wave from a distance. His voice changed to being a bit depressed, but it was normal. Salome usually rained on his parade anyways.

Tetsu activated his chakra scabbard on his sword. He took a few steps forward and swung his sword in the air, releasing a crescent shape blue wave in the air. The wave traveled down the empty street and disappeared at about one hundred feet away. "Woah, this just keeps getting better." Salome said, activating the chakra scabbard on her own sword. She took a few steps and swung the sword, but the chakra didn't leave the sword. She tried again, swinging hard, but nothing. "Wow, how did you do that?" She said looking at Tetsu. Tetsu laughed at Salome and then explained. " Simple, it's like throw the sword almost in a sense." He said as he stepped back again.

Salome tried again, this time swinging her sword really hard, but the sword flew out of her hand as grip was too loose. The sword flew a few feet in front of her, the blade of the sword landing in the dirt. "Oh jeez..." She said sighing as she walked over to pick her sword up. In the background she could hear her uncle having the time of his laugh back there, laughing really hard. This only made her slightly angry as she picked the sword up out of the ground, and charged a scabbard on it. She let out a frightning battle cry and swung her sword, letting lose a pressure wave. The laughing stopped in the background as her mode changed to a very serious one.

Tetsu's memories flashed back to that night when Salome had lost full control of her Shinzo powers. He quickly shook those off, remember that he was charged to take care of this girl by his best friend who died. He walked up behind her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Good job" He said with little emotion. Salome turned and looked at him with a serious face, and then it changed as she closed her eyes and smiled. "What's next?" She asked, with her changing back to her more normal self. This kind of stunned Tetsu for a moment, for she seemed harmless now, but she was very dangerous. He smiled and moved on to the next technique.

"This next one is fairly simple. It uses the same concept of the form manipulation technique. All you do is extent the blade using chakra." He said charging his chakra scabbard and stabbing in the air in front of him. The chakra extended from the blade an addition eight feet. "Eight feet is the max distance. Give it a try." Tetsu finished turning off the chakra scabbard.

Salome decided to give it a try, and charged her chakra scabbard into her sword. She stabbed in the air in front of her. Using her knowledge from the form manipulation skill, she slowly extended the blade, making it reach max distance. She ended the technique and tried it a few more times, trying to increase the speed in which she did it. She realized it took longer the farther she extended the blade. it was interesting, it was useful. "Good job, last one then we can go meet Uncle Valor in our secret training spot where we use to train with your father." He said charging a chakra scabbard.

"This is called two as one, it's more as a visual trick." He said swinging his sword in the air. It was hard for Salome to see at first, but there was the physical blade followed by the scabbard blade behind it. It was clever and quite genius. Salome activated her scabbard and swung her sword around a few times, trying to grasp the technique. She then tried it for real, swinging the sword real fast, but she couldn't make a the scabbard delayed. Then she remembered the pressure wave technique. It was similar in a way, so she began to make the adjustments. She swung the sword again, and she could see the scabbard following behind it. She swung again and this time there was separation. "Got it." She said with a smile growing on her face. She re sheathed her sword and laughed.

"Alright good. Lets go see your Uncle Valor." Tetsu said walking away from Salome. "Hey wait up old man! She shouted chasing after him. She caught up to him and walked sightly along side him as she followed him.

"No matter how much time passes
You won't lose your special heart..."

Salome and Tetsu arrived at a large building that had been abandoned a long time ago. The outside just looked like garbage and there had been no maintenance done on the building for years. They walked up to a double door that was faded red, and Tetsu just opened it casually. Both of them walked inside, as Salome looked around with such curiosity. The inside of place looked marvelous, and well painted. It looked as if the building was kept very well on the inside, but the deceiving outside kept other away. "Well here we are. Down here is the training area. In the next room is the kitchen and dining room. Upstairs is the sleeping quarters and showers. For years, me, your Aunt Valor, and your father kept this place well kept. Since he's been gone, just me and Valor have been keeping this place clean." Tetsu explained.

Salome frowned and then smiled. "I can help you guys with keeping this place clean. In fact, I think it's about time a girl like me came and made this place look more presentable." She said with a mischievous smile and holding up one finger. Tetsu laughed and it echoed through the building. "Hey, keep it down! You are always so damn loud!" The laughing stopped as Valor came down the stairs. "Hey Auntie, I haven't seen you in a while!" Salome said with a bright smile on her face. Valor returned the smile and then looked at Tetsu. "So, Tetsu. Did you like Akira know we're gonna train her for a couple of days? And that she is staying here?" Valor asked in serious tone. She was a woman, known not to fool around. She got to business and she was very strict about things.

She did have a motherly love for Salome though. She saw the qualities she shared with her father Ichirou. They were very noticeable, and they use to point that out to Ichirou when he was still a live. It didn't feel like he was gone, because he is remembered through his daughter. Tetsu sighed before speaking, walking over to one of the training dummies to lean on across the room. "Yea, yea. I talked to her before I met up with Sally today. She said it was fine, just return her in one piece." Tetsu said, taking a cigarette out of his pocket.

Valor glared at Tetsu for smoking in the building, she absolutely hated it. She loved the man nonetheless, just not his smoking habits. Valor then turned to Salome and her face returned to normal. "Well my dear, since you are incapable of learning Genjutsu, bless your soul, I guess I have no choice to leave you with that moron." She said jokingly with a grin. "Hey!" Tetsu called out still smoking his cigarette. "I'm sorry Auntie, it's something I didn't get from my father. But I could use help with Ninjutsu later okay?" She said laughing while rubbing the back of her head. Valor walked down the stairs and hugged Salome. This came to somewhat of a surprise to Salome as they embraced. " It's alright my dear. Do what you do best, become the greatest Swordsman in the world. I'll still be proud of ya. I'm going to make dinner you two continue training." She said letting go of Salome. She walked over to Tetsu and kissed him on the cheek. "Put that out, before I shove it down your throat." she whispered before walking off into the next room.

Tetsu's eyes grew big, and he quickly threw the cigarette on the ground and stomped it out. Salome walked over to Tetsu, and was ready to learn the next set of moves. " Okay time to indulge you into a new style. Instant of Steel. Lets start with the basics. Just follow my lead." He said drawing his sword. Salome drew her sword as well ready to follow his lead.

The techniques were very basic at first. The first was a basic chop, a simple, vertical, overhead chop that was basically in every sword style known to man. Then there was the basic movements such as moving forward and attacking, and then moving backwards and using basic blocks. This too was in every style as well. Then came the basic stabbing thrust, which was went over and in full detail again. Salome knew the purpose though, and she knew there was nothing wrong with the basics. "Simple enough?" Tetsu asked, seeing boredom written all over Salome's face. "Yea it's fine, I have no problem with going over this." She said closing her eyes and smiling.

"Good, and now we partner up, we go at it one on one as I teach you this style." He stood in front of her two shoulders distance away from her. "Attack.' Tetsu ordered. Salome came in with a stab, but she could see what her uncle did. He blocked, and pivoted, turning his body to where a great counter attack could be used. Just before she could speak, they were reset, and Tetsu came in with a stab of his own. She did the same movement her uncle did earlier, blocking and pivoting. They did this about ten times before stopping. "Good, your natural instincts are good." He said with a smile.

"Attack again, something different." Tetsu said looking at Salome. Salome decided to go ahead with the overhead strike, and slashed down at Tetsu. Tetsu blocked the incoming attack and slide his blade, almost grinding it on hers. He got closed and pushed her back. The reset was instant and the exercise was the same as the other one. She quickly blocked, grind her blade and pushed him back. She knew the counter was not a push, she was able to put her imagination to work with that. They continued a little longer before stopping again.

"Good, good. Something new again." Tetsu said breathing a bit heavily. Salome too was a bit winded. Salome came in with an overhead slash again, but it was deflected direction by Tetsu, knocking Salome back. The exercise again was common with the rest. The attacks now changed and they were all different. What ever attack came, she deflected it or redirected it just to counter or push him back. It was then Tetsu decided to change the exercise mid way. Just when Salome came in for an attack, Tetsu attempted to stab her hand. Seeing this, she moved and changed her direction so she wouldn't be stabbed. "Hey! Watch it." She said, but Tetsu didn't stop, she deflected it back and then came in again. Tetsu did the same thing, trying to stab her hand. Salome moved and waited.

This was another exercise, and now she was aware of it. Salome predicted Tetsu's next attack, and sent a stab towards his sword hilt, Tetsu was forced to move or be disarmed. The exercise continued as they went back and forth. It seemed as if they were clashing, and soon it became nothing more than a sparring match. They two mixed and matched the techniques, both clashing and breaking. "Stop!" Tetsu said sheathing his sword. "Dinners ready. Put that toy away Salome-chan" Valor said walking into the training room.

Salome, breathing kind of heavily. She sheathed he sword and smiled. "Great, I'm starving" She said stretching her arms out. The three walked to the dining area where they ate a big dinner. Tetsu shared stories from the past, stories that Salome had heard before. After dinner, Salome went up to get cleaned up and get some rest. She fell asleep at night peacefully.
