{You get three I get three} Before Kirianna could give Hayate an answer a load of noises sounded off through the village. He strained his ears as he listened hard, wondering what was going on. It sounded like panic, and explosions. Hayate's face moved from his current expression to worry. He darted to the window, the current problem forgotten. The road was empty, all houses shuttered and no people milling about. This wasn't right. "Something's goin' on Kiri, stay safe." He hopped through the window and landed softly on the balls of his feet. Suddenly he was lifted off the ground, shot backward in the wake of an explosion. Hayate's mouth and eyes filled with dirt as his ears began to ring like crazy. He pushed himself to his knees and tried to look up, his vision creating doubles of the world. A group of ragtag looking people with masks ran through the village, tossing firebombs and terrorizing his village.
Hayate placed a hand on the wall and wiped the dirt from his eyes, peering across the street. One of the men had broken off from the group and dragged a woman who was hiding in an alley out into the street. Five of the other terrorists fell back and joined the first, totaling in at six. The first one raised a hand and smacked the woman, sending her crashing to the floor. "Hey!" Hayate shouted, instinctively reaching for a kunai. He hadn't yelled loud enough, another blow to the woman. His anger rose and Hayate pushed off of the wall, yelling once more. "Leave her alone!" He said, breaking into a stumbling run. The woman was smacked to the ground again, her face swelling and covered in blood. "I said leave her alone!" Hayate shouted with all his force, his voice cracking with the strain. The man beating the woman turned and looked at him, suddenly losing interest in the woman. Hayate had his headband on, and was holding a kunai. Now he wasn't just some boy trying to stop them, but an enemy ninja. An enemy ninja apart of the village they were here to destroy. The man broke through the ring of his buddies and charged Hayate, pulling a tanto from the sheath on his back and slicing at Hayate. The anger Yate had been feeling suddenly turned to fear and self preservation. Hayate stumbled backward, losing his footing on the rocks and tumbling backward. He threw up his hands in defense of himself, the tanto slicing into his forearm. Hayate landed on the ground and quickly rolled away, rising into a crouching position. It was then that he noticed a kunoichi from his village, a redheaded one. "Help!" Was all Hayate managed to get out, his brain in overdrive.

"No matter how much time passes You won't lose your special heart..."
Salome stood in awe as the village was being torched. She was a bit shocked as droves of enemy ninja poured into the village, throwing firebombs at buildings. She stood there dazed by this fact, not having felt this kind of fear before. She placed her right hand on her heart as her mind began to fill with worry for her mother. These thoughts quickly dissipated from her mind as a cry for help nearby. She looked a head of herself now, snapping out of the small trance she put herself in.
The scene seemed dire enough as it was one against six. Salome was bent on changing that, and soon her fiery passion for battle was about to show itself. "Hey!" She shouted walking over to the group. The intruders laughed at the girl due to her height, and how harmless she looked. She stopped, standing beside Hayate on his left, her right hand still at her side. She was fast when it came to drawing her sword but there was one problem, this was her first life and death struggle. Deep down she had some fear built up, especially because of the odds. 'Three to one... That is not a good ratio." She thought as the six intruders lined up in front of them.
"Well then, you handle the ones on the right. The ones on the left are mine." She in an arrogant and cocky fashion, he attention to the six in front of her. She then looked down at Hayate, who still crouching and smiled. "Good luck." She said before realizing on of the men had charged her with a sword. She stepped back and drew her sword, utilizing Iaidō for a quick defense and deflect the enemies blade back. Her inexperience got the better of her, as she did not account for the strength of her opponent.
The man's blade crashed into her, making it a difficult clash. Salome arms began to shake from the overwhelming strength. The man pushed forward, forcing Salome back, even though she had solid footing. Stumbling back, she bent forward, and put her left hand on the ground to maintain her balance and stay on her feet. The man advanced, and continued sending a series of slashes at her. Salome was in an awkward position, she moved her blade as fast as she could, but was to slow, and took a cut to the left arm, cutting off her headband there as well. She pivoted, stepped back, and parried the next strike, before countering with two quick slashes of her. The man backed off, as he had a sly grin on his face.
Salome stood, slightly winded with adrenalin pumping through her veins now. Her heart was beating like a drum, and her mind was filled with all kinds of feelings. Excitement, fear, doubt, confidence, passion and more. It just all depended on what feelings she wanted to dominate her mind during the fight. She could feel the sting of her small cut on her arm, and she didn't even notice that her head band had been cut removed from her arm until she saw it several feet away. "You caught me off guard there, but don't count on it happening again." She said as an evil smile grew on her face. She ready to show them that messing with her home was the last thing you would want to do.

Hayate had little time to turn and thank his comrade for coming. The enemy ninja had taken advantage of Hayate's stupor and had closed in on him, all three to one. Yate's mind was directed towards self preservation and sruvival. There was something burning in his chest though, a desire to destroy these enemies. They invaded his home and were murdering people in cold blood. He truly wanted to run, but his desire to fight rooted him in place. The fear was present, but anger was swiftly returning. Hayate's body seemed to react of its own accord; his arm raised and deflected a slash from the tanto with his kunai. The other two he had to fight slightly flanked their teammate. Once the first had attacked he jumped away just as the other dove forward. They were fighting like wolves, constantly pressing an attack and attacking from multiple sides.
Hayate was beginning to feel like prey, until the plan came to his mind. Normally he had very little skill in fighting up close, but he knew how to kite someone thanks to a certain game he played. Yate planted his legs firmly and bent for a moment, anticipating the low and high attack at the same time. He jumped and twisted his body, spinning between the attacks. When he was coming down for a landing he created a single handsign and put his hand forward, planting it on the ground. As he touched a seal spread out rapidly, momentarily glowing green. Hayate used his momentum and fell forward, rolling and pivoting to look back at his enemies. They had chased him just as he wanted. The first one ran forward and activated the seal, sending a load of shuriken skyrocketing out of it. This was one of his hidden arsenal techniques. Six shuriken embedded themselves into his opponent, staggering him. The blood seemed surreal as it splashed to the floor, distracting Hayate for a moment. Of course he had seen blood before, being a ninja entailed a lot of it. But for some reason, knowing he was the reason it was spilling out was odd.

The peace of the library that allowed Ai to freely muse her mental state shattered with the resounding crash of invaded windows. Ai's musings shattered with the peace. Hand in the middle of dragging out one of the scrolls Ai needed and had just found, the girl looked up to identify the source of the sound. The light shining in through the windows obscured her view of the invading group, and before anything could happen to change the vision situation, another group crashed in and engaged the opposition in such a way they were quickly routed out. Well, perhaps not routed, but at least the fight was taken outside.
One person of the second group remained behind and began issuing a series of rapid orders. Civilians were to evacuate deeper into the library to somewhere safe as it was too dangerous outside. Ninjas of every rank save for those still in the academy were ordered to go outside and engage the invaders. Brief descriptions of the enemies were given. After all that, the messenger left, presumably to help his comrades, and the library bustled into life. It was a subdued bustling, as there were few people in the library to begin with, but there was a distinct rise in noise level.
Ai pushed the half-taken scroll back into its place and dutifully followed orders. She exited through the very doors she came in, and at their other side saw a scene vastly different from what she had seen when entering the building. A mass of backs stood in front of her, the familiar Sora symbol present on all of them in some form or another. Obviously, this organized defense of the front was what prompted the attack on the library from the windows. Not taking the time to sight see, Ai quickly extricated herself from the battle easily enough. She was, after all, too inconsequential a target compared to the level of everybody else. Not to mention, the speed of the skyrails made catching even a genin in Soragakure a bit of a task.
With the skyrails, Ai made it safely to one of the best vantage points in Soragakure. At least, what she considered one of the best. She didn't know any special techniques or skills. Even her knowledge with her favored weapon--the crossbow--was shabby, but it was the best she had. The genin settled herself into a posture that would make her both hard to find and hard to hit. Then, hoping for the best, she searched for a target.

(OOC: Since the rolls are technically the same... it's alright if my first "hit" as a target being sighted and the second "hit" as the first and only blow needed to hit the target? If it's a miss, I just won't see anything. If it's an RPC hit, then I'll just have some enemy find Ai or something else just as bad.)
Ai scanned the area around her until she found a suitable target. From this vantage she could see so many other things. Genin like her fought up-close and personal with enemies they could handle. She managed to catch sight of one just as he pulled off a well-planned trap involving seals. Those of higher rank were also in the fray, of course, and participating in much more impressive fights. However, impressive as they were, Ai felt more connected to the fights that the genin were involved with. After all, she was a genin and it was comforting to know that others her rank were succeeding.
She refocused on her current task as her eyes picked out something she could hit with minimal worry about hitting allies. The target, a woman, was quickly dashing to somewhere, avoiding fights for whatever reason. To Ai, the woman's purpose didn't matter. Only that she was an enemy that needed to be put down and that her avoidance of fights and simple running made her the ideal target.
As most everything in this kind of chaos, Ai didn't have much time to settle down and take her time sniping. This rush was new, and it wasn't a good sort of new either. It was the strange new, the kind that very clearly shows the difference between training and the real thing. Of course, the ever-calm Ai didn't feel the least bit ruffled about this battle rush that she had yet to grow accustomed to. Although, simply not feeling disturbed didn't necessarily mean that it didn't affect Ai. Just because she didn't let herself feel bothered didn't mean that rushing in itself would present side-effects.
Before she was truly ready, the target passed behind a building, blocking Ai's vision of her and reminding the genin of just how little time she had. She couldn't afford to have the woman disappear too many times lest she take some unknown movement while hidden. The black-haired girl brought her weapon up and took a deep breath to steady her aim. She would shoot, for better or for worse, once the target appeared on the other side of the convenient shield.

Salome stood as the three men began to surround her. It was long before kunai and other sharp objects came flying at her. Salome quickly moved out of the way, strafing towards the one throwing the kunai and shuriken at her. The other men followed behind, but stayed clear of the raining shuriken. Moving from side to side, and even deflecting some of the incoming shuriken with her sword proved to be effective.
She drew closer to her opponent, jumping into the air. She came down at her opponent, with her sword raised over her head, slashing down toward her victim with violent speed. Of course her opponent dodge the technique, with Salome swinging her sword in the air at nothing. She quickly turned around, bring her sword up to deflect an oncoming strike form one of her other assailants. She succeeded, blocking and striking back, but that two failed.
The three had reset, with the men surrounding her in a triangular formation. Salome now was very serious, and the situation was one that was not favorable. She calmed her breathing, taking in deep and calm breaths as she thought. ' This isn't good, they got me on the defense. I guess it was to be expected...' She thought, getting ready for the next attack.

Hayate's musings had allowed for the enemy ninja to once more close in on him. He dodged around a punch and ducked under a kick, dipping just beneath the slash of a tanto. Yate dove over a barrage of kunai and dodged a small earth shard that was sent flying in his direction. He noticed that the guy he had hit with his shuriken was stumbling severely, and seemed short of breath. The blood pooled beneath his feet as he stood still and threatened to soak him completely when he moved. He had to thin out this crowd and he had to do it fast. Yate reached into his stomach and pulled out a garote, a thin wire attached to two wooden grips on the end. He led the enemies in a circle, heading for a dead end. Hayate slid forward and slapped a seal onto the wall, once more pulling from his hidden arsenal. A large mace shot outward, launching itself down the alley. The two unharmed ninja dodged it with ease, and even the damaged one managed to. Hayate smirked just as the ball was just passing the last ninja and he held up a single seal. Yate let the garote wire loose and caught it around the neck of his target. As he was moving forward he yanked hard and twisted the wire, snapping the neck of the enemy. The man fell to the floor and Yate turned, not having time to think about what he had just done.

The next attack came swiftly, a fireball jutsu was hurled her way and it was only the first part of the attack. Salome moved out of the way quickly, but a storm of shuriken and kunai followed from the next attacker. She continued to move, dodging what she could. She could feel herself getting cut by the incoming projectiles. She continued to strafe trying to figure out an angle to attack from, she needed to get to the range units first, in order to level this playing field.
Her path was completely changed when the third attack came at her, slashing in with a powerful blow. Salome quickly moved to deflect it, pivoting and blocking. She then pushed her blade forward to force him back. It was then she felt a sharp pain hit her. She grunted in pain as she was struck by a Kunai in the back. The knife lodged itself on the back of her left shoulder, causing her to step back. 'This isn't good..' She thought jumping back to dodge another fireball that was headed for her. She backed off, leaving the knife alone, knowing she could make things worse. She was now in some real trouble.

Hayate had successfully taken down one of his enemies, and there were still two more. It would haunt him for the rest of his life, but right now he could not stop to think about what he had done. Yate reached up to his shoulder and activated yet another seal, removing his boomerang. He held it firmly in his hand and used it to defend himself against an oncoming onslaught of strikes and attacks. Yate needed more distance and he already had a plan. He kept backing away from his enemies, taking larger steps until he was against a wall. With a quick flip backward Yate planted his feet firmly on the wall and ran skyward. He pushed off with his legs and activated his chakra once more, gravitating towards the skyrails. Hayate twisted around and threw his boomerang at the enemy that had chased him to the wall. The boomerang flew through the air and smashed into the back of the man's head, pushing his head forward and making it connect with the wall.
Hayate had forgotten to pay attention to his other opponent and suddenly felt a fist smash into his face. Yate's head snapped to the side and he lost his concentration, releasing himself from the skyrail. He fell to the ground and landed harshly on his knee. He had missed his boomerang on its way back and it lay just a few feet from him. Hayate crawled forward and lunged for it, hearing his enemy pounding the pavement behind him. Yate's hand grasped around the handle of it and he whirled, swinging the boomerang like a bat. A sickening crunching noise sounded as the weapon connected with the man's head. He slumped to the side, dead and defeated. Hayate stared at his bloodied weapon for a moment, unable to wrap his head around what he just did.
Luckily there was another man still standing. Hayate pushed himself unsteadily to his feet, favoring his banged up knee. Yate met the eyes of his opponent as he spoke. "Ya really picked the wrong village bud. We ain't goin' to just lay down and die." Hayate said, bracing himself for the next piece of the fight. He grabbed a kunai and watched his opponent closely as he ran. Hayate leaned to one side to lead the guy and then rapidly twisted at the last second, launching his arm back and digging his kunai into the man's neck. Yate stumbled and dropped to one knee, taking in large quantities of air.

"I know, no one had ever dreamed that We were this strong and we'd achieve this..."
Salome stood breathing heavily as she looked at the odds. She had a Kunai sticking out of her back, and to much to her disdain, she was losing. She gripped her sword tighter, biting her bottom lip just thinking of what to do next. Thoughts swirled around in her head and then the silence was broken in her mind.
'Hey idiot.' A voice echoed in her head, one that she had not heard in quite a while. 'It's you. One of my inner-selves. What's the occasion?' Salome responded in her mind, as if she was speaking to completely different person.'You are losing, and I think it's about time I bail you out, you fool. You see, if you die, I die. I don't feeling like dying. I have yet to make a mark on this world.' The inner personality responded. Salome stood there as she watched her opponents. They began to laugh at her, she seemed weak right now, and non-threatening. "I think it's time to put this brat out of her misery." One of them commented. Salome grew slightly angry, tightening her grip.
'Promise me something inner-chan, don't hurt the others. Especially that boy who's fighting the other three.' Salome said to her innerself,'I won't promise anything. If he is weak, then he's not worth my time or energy just like you are. However, we share this body, so I have to deal with it.' The innerself said arrogantly as she waited for Salome's respond. Salome sighed out loud and closed her eyes and smirked. 'I knew you would say something like that. What can I call you inner-chan?' Salome responded in thought now as she sheathed her sword and stood up straight out of her stance. She didn't know what else she could do at this point. For now she had to trust this other side of herself, one that had not spoke to her in years.
The three men began to laugh at her, as it looked like she was giving up. She didn't care however, she was ready to let another side of herself take care of things now. She reached for her left earring, her eyes still closed. 'You can call me Avy.' Avy responded in her mind, introducing yourself. A mischievous smirk grew on Salome's face. "Nice to finally meet you Avy-chan" Salome said out loud. She opened her eyes, maintaining that smirk, as she took off the earring.
It only took a few seconds to go off, but a bright light of chakra released itself from her. It was blinding light that was hard to look at and ignore. Salome began to undergo a change in appearance. The men stood with their hands shielding their eyes as the gasped in amazement on what was going on. After the transformation was complete, the once redheaded girl was no longer red headed. Her hair was a beautiful smooth silver and her eyes were blood red. She had taken the form of a young woman in her early twenties, a sexy one at that.
The men stood, gawking at her now. Avy stood with her eyes closed and a very pissed off look on her face. "You assholes are gonna pay for hurting me like that. You are gonna know your place after I'm through with you." Her voice was full of anger as she opened her eyes, revealing the blood red demonic eyes she possessed. She took her right hand and reached over her left shoulder and grabbed the handle of the knife in her back. She pulled it out forcefully, blood flying out of her shoulder. Avy could feel the pain, but she knew that she had enough tolerance not to show it outside. She kept a straight face that showed no pain as she looked at the man who threw it at her in the first place.
She looked at the knife, as if studying it, that was covered in blood. An evil smirk grew on her face and she threw the knife into the ground. She sprinted off towards the man who had been throwing kunai and shuriken at her the whole time. Her change in speed was highly noticeable as she was faster than Salome, and used the body more effectively. The man had hardly anytime to react, as he put a handsign together. He tried to transition himself into the next one, but was quickly cut off by an Iaidō slash. Avy slashed upward, causing the man the move his hands apart, but in the process, Avy was able to cut the man, leaving a long cut going upward along his chest. She spun around and kicked him backwards.
The other two stood a bit frighten. Avy was faster than Salome and she knew they noticed. "This isn't the same brat we've been dealing with. She faster alright." One of them said as they began to get their guard up. Avy stood there in a low stance with the sword trailing behind her. The pain in her shoulder was bearable for now, and the fight was really just beginning. "Bring it on, you picked the wrong person to piss off." She said licking her lips.
'Be careful Avy-chan. Salome's thought echoed to Avy. Avy didn't answer and ignored Salome as she began to fight. The man she attacked got up slowly as he backed off, knowing that he would lose if he tried to take her alone. He was bleeding from the cut, his shirt completely split, making it seem as if he was wearing a coat now.

"I know, no one had ever dreamed that We were this strong and we'd achieve this..."
Avy, the one who was now in command, decided to take the fight to them instead of being on the defensive. Most of her skills were melee only, making a defensive strategy worthless. Judging by her enemies, she had two mid range foes and one close range foes. 'I'll start with the one I injured, then I'll take out the other ranged one. These two have already caused Salome trouble already.' She thought thinking her strategy through.
Her thoughts were cut short as a stream of fire came at her, but it was easily avoidable. She slid out of the way and continued moving as she set her eyes on her target. She was intercepted by the close range foe, as he slashed at her. Avy deflected the blade, and pushing passed the man, using her speed to her advantage. The man began to throw shuriken wildly at Avy, as he panicked. Strafing through the attacks while advancing towards her pray she, blocked and slashed away incoming projectiles. Then her moment came as she Advanced her Steel and rammed through the man she had slashed earlier.
Her blade pierced right through his body, his blood pouring out from him. Avy took the blade and twisted it as she smoothly took the blade out. The man fell to his knees, his blood now in puddle as he fell to the ground groaning in agony. Things weren't done there, Avy knew that the counter attack was under way and quickly turned to face the other two. To her surprise, the other two just stood stunned at what she had done. That evil smirk grew on her face again, she had them now.

Breath still held, Ai saw her target appear on the other side of the building. Her ready and tense finger pushed down just marginally, but that slight movement was all that was needed to push things into motion. The taut string was released and, naturally, it returned to the position of lease resistance, naturally sending the arrow flying in the direction Ai had intended. The rather normal and dull arrow flew true from the equally normal and dull crossbow. The target didn't know what hit her when the bolt impaled her head.
To Ai, the only sign of her success was the tumbling down of the target's body. She didn't hear the crunch of the skull as it gave way to the stabbing force of the weapon nor did she hear the squelch of the brain as it was pierced. Ai was just as deaf to the scream of pain from the woman's lips, and while she could make out her target's head, she was so close to see the shock and fear plastered on it. Although, she could make out a vague brush of red that was likely the blood seeping from the new wound in the side of the enemy kunoichi's head.
After seeing the woman fall, Ai focused her attention on everyone around the woman. Most were busy with their own fights. A few, though, had seen what had happened and quickly acted accordingly based on their personalities and situation. Most were fighting themselves so couldn't bother much with a sniper other than trying to change their location to somewhere less vulnerable. The few among the few that had noticed and weren't fighting quickly took cover and tried to find the new threat. They likely didn't imagine a mere genin, or at least not one fresh out of the academy. After all, what kind of shinobi thinks that a death of a comrade is caused by someone so inexperienced? Therefore, understandably, they seemed a bit stressed.
In reaction, Ai stressed as well and tried to make herself smaller. She lowered her crossbow from its steady position and hoped no one saw her.
For about a minute, Ai didn't dare move a muscle. Eventually, though, she realized that she couldn't remain a sitting duck forever. Someone would certainly pass through her hiding spot sometime during the attack. Slowly and cautiously, the girl eased herself and her crossbow back up into their old position, which was rather hard to spot in itself. Now that she had vision, no one seemed to have any more interest in finding her. Ai thought, her nerves now calm, and her mind already picking out routes to another of the sniping spots she had scouted out before,
Plan decided, Ai slowly scanned her surroundings once more. No go in the area around her previous target, though. Having already been warned, a good number had taken positions that made a decent shot hard. A few others looked clumsy, but it would still be difficult. Accepting her loss, Ai shuffled as stealthily as possible to another side for another view. She set up on that side again, positioning herself properly even before knowing if this side was any good.
The other side proved much more rewarding. Word about any sort of sniper hadn't seemed to have reached them. As always in a battle, it was difficult to pick out any good targets, but Ai could wait. She only had to wait a little, too, before a suitable target appeared. This time, it seemed to be a child with rather long hair. From this distance, it was hard to tell the gender, but such a thing didn't matter in sniping. Ai simply settled to referring to her target as a female due to the long hair.
In some ways, the kid was a harder target than the rushing woman before. The woman was going in a straight and predictable path. This child, on the other hand, jumped about rather erratically. Efficiently, yes, since she was picking off already-engaged enemies left and right, but Ai couldn't quickly predict the efficiency behind such movements. In other ways, the kid was a bit easier as she didn't seem like she would leave any time soon. With time given to her, Ai settled into analyzing the movement of her prey, smoothly following the enemy's spritely jumps with the point of the already loaded crossbow. Ai could see her target's talent was impressive and she probably held a lot of promise as a kunoichi. Her nin and tai, at least, seemed exceptional. Certainly, in one-on-one combat between the enemy and Ai, the enemy would win.

(OOC: I forgot in my last post and I don't want to mess up my current pattern of rolling in the post before the post where the roll comes into play so... here.)
Saiyuri walked through the streets of her beloved village. The town was bustling with activity, even in the dead of night. There were people running all around the city, rushing to their families and tasks. For a moment she listened only with her ears and saw only with her eyes, allowing people the peace of mind. Saiya looked skyward, gazing up at the bright moon. It was a beautiful night, and things were peaceful. There really was nothing more that Saiyuri could ask for at the moment, except maybe a bowl of ramen. A sudden buzzing and rush of information pulled Saiyuri down from her musings and back into the world. She had lowered her iron defensed and allowed the thoughts to rush at her. Saiyuri raised her hand to her head and winced without making a sound. The girl rubbed her temples slowly and placed her barriers back in place. When the only voice in her head was her own, Saiyuri calmed down.
She found a mostly empty eatery and sat down at the counter. This was a place she came to often, and was one that already knew of Saiyuri's inability to speak. The shopkeeper allowed her into his mind, and did not shy from the contact. Saiyuri waited until the keeper noticed her and greeted her. Many people absolutely loathed having someone else in their head. Saiya could see everything, know someone completely by having access to their mind. But she always refrained from that contact until she needed it. Saiyuri smiled at the man and slowly extended her mind link, feeling the familiar comfortable contact. Saiyuri placed her order and waited for either something to happen, her food to arrive, or someone to come.
