Rep wished he could go invisible. It would be super handy right about now. Do a bilbo and just vanish. But sadly he wasn't in possession of the one ring and his engagement ring didn't have that function built in. The prospect of the couch was a grim one too, one no guy deserved to bear. "I've been through a lot lately." he said, as if this excused him from present issues.

"He doesn't share a bed with you okay," Al scolded. Yup, the mind controlling possibility seemed the most viable right now - so he was sticking to it.
Nuru on the other hand might be wishing he could facepalm right about now.

Jordan looked at Rep, then back at Al. "He's my fiancé. We share a room," he said flatly. "Seriously, what the ********?" He looked at Rep again.

It was like watching your favourite shirt slowly be unravelled. It really was. And he couldn't calm Jordan without cluing Al in, and couldn't lead Al on any longer without pissing Jordan off. He was left in a bizarre neutral area where he couldn't do very much but look deeply distressed.
He decided to address Jordan as a priority since in his current frame of mind, the idea of being consigned to the couch was a fate worse than death. "I met Al here okay, and he was new and I was going to show him the ropes. So I informed him, in full fairness of the people who could lead him astray."
He tried to look innocent.

Al went from believing wholeheartedly that Rep was under mind control... then confusion set in, pushing the denial out of it's way "Fiance?... But... but... you're a man. You're not ... um... woman?.. enough to be his... his... um... wife-thing?" He looked even more confused and a little bit hurt as Rep didn't deny and even overlooked him to address Jordan instead.

Jordan snorted, the absurdity of the situation suddenly striking him in full force. "The correct word would be husband. Geez, Rep. Are you trying to train a minion again? And not letting me help?"

Rep found himself going from regular panic to something a lot deeper, suddenly on the edge of a very deep chasm of denial. Most people were indifferent, this was the first time in as long as he could remember that anyone had reacted with anything other than indifference to the prospect of him being with a man. His anxiety spiked hard and the instincts were there screaming at him to deny, to say no, that was wrong, they were friends - he didn't even know this guy, what was he saying, he was seduced, help. The panic froze him.
Wife-thing. Was that what he was?
He was wringing his hands again and he wasn't sure when he'd started. "N..no. Not a minion, I was.. I was helping him. And Ro. Ro ruined everything before."
He tried to explain to Al. "I..I was helping you okay, don't ******** doubt that, I wasn't doing anything bad. I'm not a bad guy. And I'm not. I'm. I'm not. I'm not.."

"There's no way Rep is the wife," Al scowled before Rep seemed really really out of it. Almost talking like he was dying. Al moved a little closer towards Rep, taking care not to get any closer to Jordan than he was to Rep at all times. "What's going on man? I don't get what you're trying to tell me."

"No, there's no wives in this relationship, just husbands, kind of what happens when you're with a guy," Jordan said, blinking again with confusion at Rep's rapid mood swings, and reaching out to rest a hand on his shoulder. "Hey. I'm kidding about the minion thing. Are you okay? You don't have to sleep on the couch, okay."

The talk about him being a wife twisted his anxiety even higher and Jordan touching him, normally soothing and absolutely wanted collided with old instincts and panics Rep had been long hoping he was rid of.
He flinched back from both of them, wide eyed like a feral animal backed into a corner.
"IM NO ******** GAY!" he screamed, before turning tail - and with every bit of speed he possessed, charging off the training field in the direction of the beach.

Al looked startled at the sudden outburst, baffled stare following after Rep as he fled. The stare eventually rounded again on Jordan. Hmph. He furrowed his brows at him distrustfully before he slowwwly backed away in the direction Rep ran. Gesturing at Jordan that he was watching him before turning to bolt.

"What just happened?" Jordan asked the suddenly-empty training field. Then he sighed and started off after Rep.

Rep didn't run far, once he hit beach he assumed no one was behind him and slowed to a dazed walk. Well. That had been something. Now either or both of them would think he was ******** mental. He just couldn't handle the thought of owning up to Al when his reaction had hinted at those old negative attitudes he remembered. It was intolerable.
He came to a halt and sat down on the sand. It could maybe have gone better.
<You think? Why do you still care what people less powerful than you think?, it makes no logical sense.>

Al eventually caught up, panting and out of breath as he called out, "Reeeeep!" A shock of red caught his eye and quickly he was running after it, "Don't go man!"

Jordan arrived shortly afterwards; when he saw that Al had gotten there first, though, he hung back, frowning worriedly. It seemed like the problem had been caused by having to deal with him in front of someone who might even have been an old friend or acquaintance. A moment later, though, a swell of irritation welled up in him. Rep was going to have to deal with this sooner or later, and Jordan was starting to realize that sooner tended to be better than later.
He made his way down the beach.
