A certain Mist Hunter popped his head into the training area in search of Ofelia, excited anticipation buzzing about him. The cheerful, almost goofy grin on his face made Before's presence entirely out of place and his ignorance of just how grave the situation was between the three all that more pronounced. But with the trainee-with-the-J-name and Ofelia's back to him and the Sun Hunter currently blocking his view of the third person involved, he couldn't be blamed for not immediately picking up on things, could he?
Well, yes, he could actually. The manic cackling from Ofelia eventually reached his ears and the sound had Before's hairs standing on end. That laugh didn't sound like the young woman he had baking contests with. Coupled with J-trainee's (ah fuuuuck what was his name, Jack? Jerk?) own yelling, even Before had to realize things weren't as innocent as they seemed.
Vanna prompted for her presence with little more than an emotional nudge. And unquestioningly, the Misty had his massive wheel hefted on his back. His gait and speed showed no signs of his weapon's burden, but that didn't mean the wheel didn't pack a punch if it collided.
"Heeeeey Dinah~" Before called out in sing-song, acting like he had absolutely no idea of what he was doing as he slammed Vanna downwards and forcibly distanced Ofelia from Sherry. With his wheel planted protectively in front of the female Lifer, Before stood with a hand resting on the large weapon's surface. "You're done here, yeah??? 'Cuzzzzz I got something to show you~!!"
Was he really unaware or was there more to it than that?

Sherry should have been better prepared for the hit, but everything was just so WRONG. She felt the claws tear into her shield, and she flinched on reaction as much as anything. She backed up involuntarily, firmly putting herself between Jake and Ofelia. What was wrong with her? Why was she acting like this? Sherry knew Ofelia could get carried away in a fight, but this? Sherry gripped Armagnac tighter, ignoring the weapon's requests to hit the Sun hunter back. She couldn't attack Ofie like this. Not any more than she could let the other girl kill Jake. There was no doubt in her mind that's what would happen. Sherry just have to keep her away from Jake and-- She hadn't seen him coming, and she flinched again as his weapon went down between the girls. Recognition sparked in her brain as she saw the weapon and the hunter wielding it. She'd seen him around, even if she couldn't recall any kind of a name at that moment. Sherry was glad, even if she didn't allow herself a breath of relief. It seemed the new person in the fray knew Ofie, too. Sherry hoped he did. "Something's wrong," she whispered. She didn't say more, because she didn't know what it was. HP: 44/50 Target: Jake Defending for: 8 Being defended for: 4

Jake wanted nothing more than to murder the redhead b***h with his own hands, but as he was now, wavering between consciousness and unconsciousness, he knew he stood little chance of actually being able to hold up against the sun hunter, let along actually hurt her.
Why did Sherry have to come? Why did she have to get involved? When Ofelia tore into her shield, he wanted nothing more than pull his dagger and stab the teen in the throat. He was so angry, so mad... why was this happening? WHY?
When the mist hunter stepped in, defending Sherry, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. He vaguely remembered him during the shadowling invasion, and though in his eyes the hunter was a lunatic, he was... somewhat capable, fighting-wise. With him, Sherry would be safe.
So when Sherry stepped in front of him to defend him, he pushed himself up, and slowly made his way back to the dorms.

There was a feral hiss of rage from the redhead as her advancement forward was halted and the look on her face clearly reflected the noise. Jake was escaping before she'd had a chance to take him down and now Before was - Before was -
". . . . Clover." Ofelia sort of spoke and asked all at once, her tone unsure as one of her eyes narrowed and the other seemed to open wider. "When did you get here why are you here you let him escape why are you doing this stop protecting him he hurt her he hurt her I want to kill him." Her tone stayed calm and confused as she spoke at length to Sherry and Before, looking at them and looking at Jake as he retreated. she wanted to go after him and tear him down and wear his skin but that wasn't right.
Something felt off.
"Go away get away I don't want to see you because she'll get happy go away Clover go away. Let me have the girl and wear her." A hand was raised, bloody weapons poised upward and ready to attack. She motioned towards Sherry and then at Before, a slash in the air showing she was serious. "Move."[A.V.] ofie's not coming, you're all good

The cheery expression on Before's face never faltered, not when the other male hunter limped off, not when Sherry warned him that something was off, not when Ofelia began to ramble and threaten him. "Maybe you oughta go see how J-dude's doing? Lemme handle this," he whispered to Sherry from the corner of his mouth. Not that Before actually cared about the fleeing hunter's condition, but he'd known Ofelia long enough that keeping the object of her wrath within her line of sight was a bad way to calm her down.
"Awww don't be like that, Dinah," he pouted, his tone teasing in spite of the very real possibility of the teen attacking him. But he could forgive her that, would forgive her that. She wasn't herself, and he knew who the "she" he was talking about. "You saying you don't wanna wear me? I mean, I totes wouldn't mind being draped all over you." He may have been trying to fluster her but, in truth, he really didn't mind the idea of hanging off of Ofelia. "I mean, yeah I'd totes lack a coupla inches in terms of coverage but, pretty sure I'd make up for it with warmth~"
He didn't dare look away from Ofelia, though he fervently hoped the other girl will take his advice and get the ******** outta there. He remembered he liked her, if only because of Tori. He himself didn't know how to classify her.Rown OwO yes he's flirting with her. Before is King of Wrong Timing. GrnGriff Sherry can stay or go~ up to you XDDDD
