It's a bit of a shock the first time you summon them and they're suddenly different, but you get used to it fast enough." Jordan turned back towards the path that led to the main complex. "When you get promoted, you'll have more experience handling missions, so you'll be ready to take them on. You'll do fine, man, I'm sure."
He smirked back. "The bedframes are the kind you bolt together, so you're going to have to find another one to tack onto it, and a mattress to go with, and then put up with the mattress gap being inconvenient. Second-floor rooms have a larger bed, though. We still went out and bought our own."

"Is that a suggestion I should poke you with her pointy tip a few times and see if I end up with a new Sylvia?" Somewhere Sylvia gasped, how dare he suggest she wound such a lovely boil!
"We'll wait and see, plenty of work to do around island as is right?" Strolling along after Jordan he stretched his own arms above his head. "Guess I just have to work and get the promotion then... or steal some beds to slap together."

Jordan laughed. "I think Ferros would object to that."
Jacking right I would, Ferros grumbled.
"Yeah, there's always something to do. Training if nothing else presents itself." Jordan glanced curiously at Ro. "Do Mists do anything particular for training? I know you have to pick up a range of skills for flexibility."

Roland joined in the laughter as they walked, "Got it, no poking the weapons all seem to think it's a terrible idea at least."
Shuffling along Ro looked over nodding, "Yeah, the Mistaken Tower, it covers almost all the other training courses in a rapid succession. You fight shadowlings, you play mine sweeper, pick locks, save the princess, defend her on the way down. It's like Hunter 101 except they expect you to pass all the kinds of trials each hunter might face alone."

Jordan made a face. "Least favorite course, sorry, man. That's not what I meant, though. Suns are expected to spend our free time doing physical training, learning different combat styles and such. That sort of thing."
