Well, Lou imagined that the matron was a pretty lonely woman. This, however, he somehow managed to keep to himself.
Lou stood up slowly and dusted himself off, shaking the crumbs and candy wrappers from his gelled hair. "Resilient, huh? Sounds more like boring to me." The boil mused and gestured for her to follow. There was more than one dress store in the maul, after all. "You shouldn't take someone's word for fact. Get some differing opinions and form your own. If you don't, you'll never know what thoughts are really yours. Good and bad are just points of view."

"Well, Sir Lou, would you say that stealing is bad? Or hurting someone?" Being a ghost, her sense of smell wasn't the keenest, but as much as she enjoyed hanging around Lou for the most part, he does... Smell pretty bad - which is why she had stopped breathing altogether; one of the perks of being dead was that she had no need to breath anyway, "How is that a point of view? Isn't it a fact...?"

"Depends on the circumstances." Lou tried to clarify. "There are some situations that would call for it, no matter how much someone considering themselves aligned with 'good' might think otherwise." The vampire hadn't planned on candy coating anything, even if she was just a child. "What if you had a friend in trouble and the only way to get them help in time was to take the bicycle on the side of the road?" He could go into many examples of 'hurting' people, but he figured the stealing would do for now.
"Here's another dress store. Maybe you should pick one out this time."

"Then I would surely return it after using it, so it's not stealing," Victoria retorted, too stubborn to see things from Lou's point of view... Although she would probably chew on it a little later, when she's alone with her thoughts. Looking into the display window of the shop he pointed out, she hovered there for a moment before entering and picking out a light blue and white dress that she had seen from outside; it was the right length and frilly in all the right places.
"What do you think, Sir Lou?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as she held up the dress.

"What if you didn't know who to return it to?" Lou almost sang, happily debating with a child. Shame on him.
But he would drop it as soon as she did. No point in beating a dead horse, after all.
When he was presented with the dress, the boil made a whistling sound. "I think that would be very pretty on you." Not that it mattered. She could probably wear rags and it would look just as nice, but the whole point was to make her happy about it. "Do you need to try it on and are you gonna disappear on me like you did last time?" Lou's eyebrow raised, hoping to not get kicked out of two places today.

"I'll put it back where I found it," She huffed, trying her best not to pout but pouting anyway because she was so full of disapproval at Lou right now. The pouting did not last long, however; when he mentioned her earlier disappearing act, she looked away, seemingly embarrassed as she shook her head, "I blame the mirrors. They had a pretty mirror in the room."
A pause.
"I think I'll fit in," She held the dress up to her shoulders, comparing the width. Her chest... Won't be a problem for sure, "There shouldn't be a need to try it on."

"Well. I suppose I can't fault you too much." If there had been a pretty lady, he would've hit on her. Or any lady really. Lou could understand the sentiment.
The vampire patted Victoria's head when she looked embarrassed. "If you're sure that's the one you want, lets get on out of here." Lou jingled the bag of seeds in his pocket and motioned for her to follow him back. He figured she wouldn't be too happy if she realized all the money he had was actually stolen from one person or another, so he just... Neglected to tell her so.
"That'll be 200 seeds, sir." They were lucky this time. The employee was a man. A very feminine man, but a man nonetheless...

Victoria followed Lou to the counter, secretly waiting for him to say or do something offensive that would get him thrown out of this shop. When he didn't, she wasn't sure if she should feel relieved or disappointed - although the price of the dress was enough to snap her out of those thoughts because wow that is a lot of seeds.
So she turned to look at the boil with a horrified look, like she had just witnessed a murder.
A murder called burning a hole in the wallet.

When the bag was handed to him, Lou turned around, ready to hand it off. What was she... Staring at him like that for? His brow furrowed, glancing at the bag to make sure it didn't have something nasty on it.
"What's wrong? Don't you like the dress anymore?" He wondered if they accepted returns on account of such extreme dissatisfaction.

"It costs 200 seeds," Victoria whispered, her voice strained, "200 seeds." She decided to repeat herself because it costs 200 seeds.

At her response, Lou just laughed and gestured to the exit. "It was indeed 200 seeds." The boil agreed before passing the gift off to her. "Don't worry about it, though. I'd rather see it go to something nice for you than burn a hole in my wallet for a week while I pittle it away on little things here and there." He smiled. "It's okay to be extravagant every once in awhile."

Victoria had never seen that many seeds at one place at any one time. Part of her wanted to reach across the counter so that she could hold onto the cashier's hand and go noooooooooooooooooooooo, but part of her was reassured by Lou's words.
In the end, the latter won over.
"Thank you, Sir Lou," She hugged the bag with the dress inside to her chest like it was some priceless treasure - and for 200 seeds, it might as well be, "I will take good care of it." Suddenly, smelly, bad role model Lou wasn't so bad after all.

"Anytime." There were many, many bad qualities to the vampire, but at the very least, he gave with no strings attached. Sure, he would try to convince someone he needed a favor down the road, but he never pushed it.
"Now, what would you like to do for the rest of your day in servitude to me?"

"I thought of it while we were shopping," Victoria beamed, proud that she was prepared with an answer; spending the whole day shopping would suck anyone's wallet - and energy - dry, so she already thought of a not as expensive way to spend time, "Let's go to the park! I saw one on the way to the Maul."

The park? Lou couldn't recall ever doing anything recreational at the park, besides flirting, that is. "Alright. If that's what you want, lead the way Pipsqueak." What in the world could she want to do at the park?
