He gave a quick shove off the wall, following as close to Courath as he could get. Being just above the tree tops, his wing tips brushed the top most branches, as he urged himself towards her.

The brown flew up out of the area, pleased that he had made it through that challenge without much difficulty. He was close, but when the green put on a burst of speed, he lagged a little. He wasn't out, not yet, but he was slowly slipping away from the crowd.

Asoth roared in frustration as he saw the Blue that was almost on Courath's tail. He was furious, perhaps if he'd gone into the Sands like the others he'd be closer. Still he was closer than before by avoiding the manouvers in the Sands. Oh no.. no she was using her speed now, Asoth could almost have keened a little, he'd never catch her if she used speed like that... he wasn't about to give up until she was caught though.

Continuing her path, Courath was almost struck with a desire to get away from her males. To just escape their reach and their want and fly away to the stars, hidden in the daytime sky.
Dizzian was her anchor though, the young woman's mind connected with hers trembled at the idea. Courath would never leave without her though. No, Dizzian would be by her side wherever she went. Even now as she flew further and further from the weyr, weren't they more connected than ever before?
Her stunt was losing the browns, which was a pity. Asoth, despite his cocky ways, had consistently managed to gain her attention in some manner, and Krith had stayed a quiet and determined presence the entire flight. She was pleased with both of them.
Solath was right behind her though, followed by Troiseth and Neptanth who she knew so well. They had the drive, and the ability to keep up with her. Each had displayed traits she'd approved of in her challenges. Her choice was narrowing but still not quite certain.

"Dear Courath, why do you fly so fast, come to me, then we both shall show them how great we are together!" He might as well try sweet talking, since he was nowhere near her level of speed, perhaps he could capture her interest enough so she would fly near him and he could catch her.

It seemed like the larger blue with him was faltering, which made Troiseth very happy. Courath would be his. He gave some twisting of his own when he spotted that she looked back.

He felt more than saw that his friend was catching up to him. It was more than he could handle and so he gave even more, wings straining a little as he chased even faster. Solath was not going to let the others win her. It was going to be his right now.

In some ways, blues had the advantage in a green flight, though that wasn't anything that really bothered the brown. It wouldn't be much of a challenge if they didn't, and if Krith could grin, he would have. He was enjoying this flight, and he flew after her, not expanding the extra energy to try to catch up to her.
He was saving that, giving his body a brief rest so that hopefully he could sprint up to catch up to her, and perhaps even to catch her. If one of the blues didn't manage to first.

Back at his weyr Devith sat basking in the sun only bothering to sit up to watch as his sister took to the sky. Her suitors were of course quick to follow and why should they not be? Courath by all standards and most important of all HIS was a beautiful regal dragon that made even the glow of a gold dim with her very presence. She would of course only want the best and nothing, but the best was fit to be his beloved sisters mate.
Spreading his wings Devith stretched not unlike a cat and continued to stare skyward his eyes whirling blue and green with amusement as he watched his sister pull off the dive between the weyrling barracks and the hatching sands. It was a rather daring and deviously underhanded, but effective trick. . .Devith practically beamed with pride. Pride that drew his rider out to lean against his side Hekate staring up at the rapidly shrinking dragons as their size dwindled into the distance. It seemed Dizzian's worries were finally at an end. Courath was in flight and it seemed it was shaping up to be a flight the Weyr would talk off for years to come.

In the distance, a haze became visible, The speed at which she dragged her competitors shortening the distance between herself and the Hot Springs. The steamy mists that rose from those heated pools would serve her in place of cloud cover on this clearest of days. It had taken time to get here, but she had evaded her pursuers this far. Would they lose her if she made it into the mists?

She had ignored him, well Asoth didn't particularly like being ignored ... he liked to be center of attention and while that wasn't really possible here because every male dragon was focused on Courath, well... they'd pay attention when he caught Courath! He shot forwards, trying to ignore the mists, focusing his attention entirely on HER now and ignoring the other males.

No. No. No. He wasn't about to give up, even if he was starting to feel his wings grow tired. The green wasn't caught yet, and there was still a chance that he might be able to catch her. There was always a chance, and come from behind victories were always sweeter.
