He looked at her, then shook his head. "I want t'rescind on that promise," he said. "It was made under--what was the term--extenuatin' circumstances." What? He'd spent a bit of time in the courts before, okay? "I think I'll stick t'bein' single. Hey, y'wanna meet my lil sister?" he asked, changing the subject before she could argue more with him. He didn't like arguing with Amrita--for some reason she always won.
He picked up the toy, peeking over its head. "I think you'd like her!"

"Too late, you promised! I never said you had to get a ghoulfriend right away, I just meant if it happened..." The ghoul trailed off, that heavy feeling returning to her heart. His change of subject was noticed but otherwise accepted, and she nodded to his offer.
"Yeah, sure! I'm sure she's an interesting ghoul, if she's anything like you~" The patchwork chuckled again and rolled off of his bed, straightening her dress and running her fingers through her thick, wavy hair.

He thought about it for a moment, honestly considering whether they had anything in common--"Her weapon's a violin," he said after a moment. "This pretty lil piece with a snake headstock that she named Rosa. But--um--well, we ain't THAT much alike," he admitted. "See, she's not entirely--exactly my little sister. She's more like... um..." He looked sheepish, "my aunt. Gramp's lil surprise."
She'd met Vegas, she shouldn't be that surprised.
"But I like her," he declared. "Even if she did shove a snowball down my pants once. C'mon, she's right across the hall!" He headed for the door.

Amrita gave him a somewhat blank look, as if the idea of Roch having an Aunt roughly his age wasn't much of a big deal for her. Her family was more of a tribe or clan, and when it came to family she had some similar issues...not that she had seen nor heard from them in three years now.
"Well...it's good he still had the FEAR to make pumpkins?" She scratched what was left of the bridge of her nose, and with a shrug headed over to him, linking her hands behind her back and letting him lead the way. "If you like her, that's enough for me!" Though she did have to wonder what kind of ghoul pulled something like that on her nephew.

As they got closer to her room, you could hear music coming through the door. It looked as if Roch had been expecting this, because he lifted a finger to his lips and motioned Amrita to silence before opening the door silently and stepping inside without a sound. In the middle of the room, wearing what was either a really long shirt or pajamas, moving in what looked like a swaying dance as she played her violin. She seemed completely oblivious to the fact that they were there-- But she looked really happy. Roch stepped back, just watching and listening with a little grin for Amrita. This was probably why he loved his little sister.

Amrita nodded to his mime for silence, quietly stepping into the room after him and just as quietly closing the door behind her. She couldn't deny that she felt terrible sneaking into a stranger's room, but...well, Roch had never really lead her astray before. She could deal with this particular hurdle as it came...hopefully. While the ghoul played her lovely violin, Amrita tried to calm her nerves, taking a few questioning glances at the Reaper on her side.
It didn't take her long to realize why he had stayed so quiet and why he had yet to announce her presence; he was enjoying this. He really did love this ghoul, didn't he?

When she finished he started clapping, making Terra jump half a foot before turning to give him a glower. She had yet to put her makeup on, and only her tattoo on her forehead showed now. "Hermano! I told you to knock--"
Then she blinked, looking at Amrita in surprise. "He--ah--I should--I am not dressed appropriately--" Her face was bright red and she tugged her pjs down, looking much like a little ghoul. Then she decided it wasn't worth the effort for another ghoul and broke into a smile. "I told you you would find a new lady friend soon enough!" she told Roch.
Wait--what?
"No! Nonono, this isn't my new ghoulfriend!" Roch protested. "This is Amrita! One of my oldest pals! I thought you two might get along--"
"A friend?" Terra said. "At seven in the morning?" Roch kept really strange hours-__-

Amrita watched the little spat between them, trying to not look as guilty as she felt. At least he had waited for her to finish her lovely song, but...well, that poor ghoul had quite the brother, didn't she? The ghoul finally acknowledged her hand her hands shot up, held in front of her in defense. "Oh, no, it's okay! I didn't expect to be here, really, I'm sorry for the intrusion---" Wait, what was that about a lady friend? What was left of the flesh on Amrita's face seemed to get darker at the mere thought.
"No! Nonono, I'm not his ghoulfriend!" Amrita protested as well, practically in unison with Roch. She went quiet when she realized, and let him introduce her while she tried to recover the feeble pieces of her mind. "Err, yes, the time, well...I made him wait, and then I stayed with him to make sure he wouldn't bother you while you slept! He wanted to be here five hours ago. I'm really sorry...it's nice to meet you?"

"There is nothing to be sorry about!" Terra said. "Are you hungry? I can put together breakfast for all of us!" Then she stopped, staring blankly at the massive plushie. "What is that? Is there a person inside?" she asked Roch, heading for it--and tugging on the head.
"No, it's a toy," Roch said. "I won it with Gramp's money!"
Terra stared at it blankly. "Why is there a toy this massive? Will it be able to eat small scarelings?"
"... I could rig it up to!" Roch decided after looking at it for a moment.
"Perhaps," Terra said before turning to Amrita. "I am so happy to meet a new friend!" she announced. "You are so very pretty, as well! Do you like huegos? Eggs?"

Amrita cleared her throat as subtly as possible, nudging Roch with her elbow in general disapproval at his suggestion. While chaos was nice, the smaller students didn't really need another thing to be scared of just yet. They were trying to grow into their own FEAR, not succumb to it!
"...! Oh! Um. I'm n-not, really, ah..." She had always handled physical compliments with the grace of a falling earthworm, and was quick to jump on a subject that wasn't her own looks. "It's great to meet you! I um, don't really eat, I hope that's not a problem?" She could eat, she just often didn't; hopefully the ghoul wouldn't take it as an insult.

"No, it is fine!" Terra said. "Mi Madre, she did not eat, either--it got her dress dirty. But she had a lovely way of making herself comfortable at meals as I ate! Would you like a cup of tea or coffee? It makes a lovely prop!" she said.
"I want breakfast--I want Amrita's breakfast, too," Roch said, heading for the table. (He would change the toy later, when Amrita wasn't watching>D)
Terra looked at Amrita, ignoring her brother. "I will let you use my favorite cup! It is very dramatic!"

"Uhhh yeah...he can have my breakfast if you don't mind making more." Amrita sighed and gestured to Roch, submitting to the Reaper's little demand. She wasn't that stupid though - she'd be checking on Roch, Terra and this toy later on.
"Aww, well, I wouldn't mind a cup for a prop! You don't have to give me anything important though..." The Vetala moved towards the table as well, but before she took a seat she turned back to the female Reaper. "...Would you like some help, Terra? I'm not the greatest cook but...I do take directions very well!"

"I will loan it to you whenever you come over during meals!" Terra said as she pulled out her favorite tea cup and platter, bringing it to the table and filling it with a tiny bit of tea. "But if you would like to help, you can help me set the table?" Terra asked. "The plates are here," she added, pulling them out and offering them to the vetala. Roch headed for the fridge, pulling it open and starting to drag out all the things he wanted to eat. Terra rolled her eyes at that, earning a shameless grin.

"...Oh, this is adorable! Thank you, Terra!" Amrita admired the cup but didn't touch it very often, afraid of breaking it. It was a lovely prop though, so she had no qualms in at least keeping it on her side of the table. Not long after that, Terra put her to work and she gladly helped out, grabbing the plates and keeping Roch from eating the food until it was all prepared.
It had been a while since she could goof off, and it was nice.
