Carli was silent for a moment, looking between the male and the other female. She could feel that this was not her place. Call it intuition or whatever, but her heart told her to back down. "Agnetha. It has been pleasant to meet you, but I am afraid I must back down from this, as it does not feel right to me." She smiled kindly. "I wish you luck with your quest, and hope that you will still consider me a friend." She dipped her head and backed away gracefully. Carli, after all, did not need an angel to save her, though it looked like Aac did, and she was more than willing to let him have it, Carli would find whatever it was she was searching for elsewhere.

She hadn’t laughed. Ac thought his likes sounded strange to hear aloud, weak and half told, but to him they were. Others perhaps heard more, or at least were polite enough not to say anything. Still feeling his heart stammering in his ribs he hardly noticed the other mare glancing at him while she was speaking of leaving. This pushing and pulling he felt to the draft angel was more than he could bear. “Could we walk?” It was a sudden question that sprang to mind. He stopped himself and glanced back at the green mare. “Not all over but just around a bit. You could still come back to your sister.” And he could burn of this nervous energy.
Ryo-Ohki bobbed her head happy to meet him too. She giggled at the thank you and looked at the stallion. “Not such a sad hooves anymore?” her tone was joyous hoping that he really did feel better. “Carrots make everything better.” She nodded sagely like she was telling him the worlds greatest secret. “Of course along with smiling and laughing and other things they make the day even better or started that way if one was really down in the ditches.”

Agnetha nodded her understanding to Carli, that angelic smile lighting up her face when the other mare expressed her desire to be friends. "Of course," she replied warmly. With how many suitors she had, it was hard to get any true friends... After Carli left them, Aggie's gaze returned to Aac. The angel blinked innocently at the sudden request, glancing briefly at her sister before nodding. "I don't see why not." She gestured with a wing for Aac to lead the way, at ease with the stallion despite his obvious demon blood.
Mico nodded enthusiastically to her question, trying not to drop the carrot at her sage-like nodding. Ryo was fun. He munched happily on the carrot, offering the un-munched half to Ryo. "*Sherring meeks deys t-oo," the stallion replied--or tried to reply around the half of carrot that he was offering. Happiness was meant to be shared, right?
(( *Sharing makes days too. ))

Seeing the other mare leave was a surprise but he was glad for one less soul around. It was hard enough to concentrate with the winged mare around. His skin itched horribly, but the movement helped as he had an outlet for his energy now. Moving he kept a space between him and the mare but not so much as to leave to much space. This pushing and pulling he was feeling was driving him to distraction. He focused on his breathing like his mother used to do when she had to explain hard concepts to him and his sister when they were young. “Why do you agree to this?” He wanted to learn more about the mare he was planning to take to his father. It was strange a part of him wanted to just keep her to himself.
Her eyes widened a bit. It was clear she wanted nothing more than to take a bite of the carrot she offered him. Her ears flicked back and forth deciding. Looking pitiful she shook her head ‘no’. “Nope. I’ll get another later. That was a gift not something meant to be taken back.” Still looking pitiful at least she was firm in her resolution.

Agnetha blinked innocently at the stallion's question, tilting her head slightly as she looked up at him. "Why do I agree...? Why not?" She smiled. "I trust my sister's judgment and I trust you. I don't see a reason not to." Runa wouldn't let someone who would harm her anywhere near her, and Aac hadn't done anything to prove otherwise. Until something happened, he would get the benefit of the doubt, demon blood or no.
Mico nodded his understanding, finishing the carrot. Then he smiled at her. "You should come visit Yvar and Eir's farm sometime. They have lots of vegetables."

“You don’t know me, and my … heritage has been pointed out. Trusting me might well be a mistake.” He looked at her like she might be a bit touched in the head but his next words were from the heart. “Still I’m glad. I like being around you as much as I don’t.” He realized what he said and floundered for a way to describe it. “Around you there’s this pull. … it.. I… ugh.” He should his head unable to find the words he wanted.
“Yvar? Farm?” Her ears flipped as she rolled the words over in her mind. Carrots grew on farms. “Oh oh! OH! Is it a carrot farm?!?” The exuberance in her voice was astounding to anyone who didn’t know her.

"No, I don't know much about you." Agnetha smiled. "But isn't that why we're talking?" She listened attentively to his words, trying to think of a way to help pinpoint the cause of this pull. "You sound conflicted," she replied. She paused, then added, "It reminds me of a story I was told once. An old man told his grandson, 'There are two hungry wolves living inside of each of us. One is good. He is joy, peace, love, faith, harmony, kindness, humility, and all other good qualities. He does no harm. He lives in harmony with those around him and doesn't take offense when none was intended. He only fights when it is right to do so, and in the right way. He saves his energy for the right fight.'
'The other is evil,' he continued. 'He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, pride, and all other negative qualities. He gets offended at even the littlest thing. He fights with everyone for every reason. He cannot think because his anger and hatred are so great. Sometimes it's hard for us to live with these two wolves fighting inside of us.' Then his grandson asked him, 'Grandfather, which wolf wins?' The grandfather smiled and quietly said, 'The one you feed.'"
Agnetha looked up at Aac as she finished. "Maybe you've kept your wolves equally fed," she suggested. Yes, most would say that it was his demon blood trying to control him despite his feelings, but she didn't think that. It was simply a conflict in his heart between the part of him that wished to be around her and the part that wished for him to leave that very moment.
"It's a vegetable farm," Mico replied. "And one of the vegetables Yvar grows is carrots. There's a lot of them!"

Ac thought over the story carefully. In a way it made sense. Part of him wanted to nuzzle and stay close to the mare, the other part wanted to rip her asunder. Shaking his head he grinned at the ground while he walked. “Perhaps I have but I don’t think it’s something I regret. I have enough strength to protect what’s mine and enough kindness not to damage those I care for.” Still that didn’t really help with his current predicament of the tug and pull dealing with the angel. He moved close to her but still not touching her. “May I?” He motioned as if to touch her but pulled back to that he wouldn’t end up doing so. Being closer to her was driving him mad. The itching along his skin intensified until it was a near burning. His markings glowed though not on his command but of their own will it seemed. The desire, no need to touch her felt like it was ripping him apart cell by cell. Still he didn’t dare move to do so without her permission. It wasn’t that he was trying to be kind or even had a plan of any sort in his mind. He simply could not force his muscles to get closer and needed the encouragement to make himself move those last few centimeters. His eyes were alight with a small flame of their own as she looked at her. He wished he had his father’s gift of force when it came to the ladies but he could never be as smooth and make anyone want him like his father could. His tail swished quietly while his hooves felt like lead weights on the end of his legs.
From the look on her face you would have thought she’d died and gone to heaven. “Wow do they let you have as many carrots as you want or do you have to work for them?”

Agnetha nodded her understanding to the logic. "That is true." Her teal eyes lifted to meet his red ones at his question. She nodded again, smiling this time. "You may." She blew some air to move a strand of her white mane that had slid into her line of vision. The angel's wings were folded against her sides, the mare having no urge to run away.
"Well, I work mostly so I can sleep in the barn. Yvar lets me have the vegetables that he's not taking to the market or cooking himself." Mico smiled. "There were a lot more carrots this year than last year, so I'm sure Yvar will have lots left over."

Permission given Acc still took a few moments to respond to his own will. The sensation was terrifying and yet exhilarating. The act of moving that last distance didn’t seem like a large task but with how he was feeling it was amazing he could move at all. As soon as he touched her he felt a small shock to his nose. It was a surprise so he instinctively shut his eyes and wished he hadn’t. The rest of the world was gone so there were no more distractions now. He could smell the soft scent of the female next to him and the irritating pulling sensation was gone not that he had ‘found’ his target, but in its place was born a strange sense of ownership. This mare was his. He didn’t care who he had to kill to keep her but she belonged to him. His maw slid along her shoulder where he nosed her softly moving up to her neck and along it without breaking contact before sliding back down and across her back to her wing joints. There was something in her that he wanted. Soft and gentle like little specks of light but he had no way to reach it. Perhaps this was the ‘magic’ his father saw and devoured? He really had no idea. Nor did her really care right now. Contact with the mare was enough to feed his desire. “Soft”
Blinking she shifted her weight. “Could we go see Yvar? Does he grow carrots every year? Are they really really big?” The excited mare looked so innocent and sweet it was hard to believe she wasn’t a life long friend coming over rather than a near stranger.
(Yvar is going to loose a lot of carrots in the future.. I can see this now.)

Agnetha felt a small shock accompany his touch, making her look at him. She couldn't help being amused when she found his eyes shut. She moved closer to Aac, a happy shiver shooting down her spine. She lightly pressed her muzzle to the taller Azrein's shoulder, inhaling his scent. It was... different. There was a faint, woody smell, but she couldn't describe the rest of the scent. But she didn't mind. She was content to stand there with the half-demon stallion, as odd as that may have seemed to others. The angelic mare felt like she had a place she belonged with him. She smiled at Aac's comment, pressing her cheek hos his shoulder. "Warm."
Mico nodded, smiling brightly at the excited mare. "Sure, yes, and some of them," he replied, answering her questions in order. He was happy he got a friend out of this strange day. Ryo seemed like a lot of fun!
(( I can imagine he will. xD He'll just have to plant more. And once again, my muses are teasing about Mico and Ryo having vegetable babies. ))

He opened his eyes and looked at her with a strangely tight smile. “You know you really should be running for your life right now. I think.” He moved so he could whisper in her ear. “You belong to me. It doesn’t matter where you go or who tries to stop me I will come and claim what’s mine.” He wasn’t really sure where all this conviction had come from but Acc wasn’t about to let there be any misunderstanding between them. Pulling back he cast a glance back where Agnetha’s sister would be. “We really should pass along to your sister that you aren’t looking for a mate anymore.” Or I could just kill all the other suitors. Acc really wasn’t opposed to either option right now which was surprising because he often kept his more destructive urges in check and avoided fights. This winged mare brought about a change in him that he couldn’t quite identify.
“Oh wow it must be wonderful to stay there. Is it really far away?” She tilted her head curiously wanting to go really really badly but not wanting to make her new friend walk that far since she wasn’t sure how long he had been following the funny winged mare and this lot.
(I know, I get that same tease, but so far she just sees him as a good friend which makes me want to smack my head against a wall. I am gonna go through heck finding a true lifemate for her I know it.)

A light, amused laugh fell from Agnetha's lips at the stallion's words. "If I was supposed to be running, I would be already." She just leaned into his side, apparently not bothered by his rather ominous statement. "You say that like I'm going to leave." Which she didn't plan on doing. She couldn't help giggling at his last comment. "Let her have her fun. I don't think she's letting anyone else past her." Runa could use something to occupy her time, even temporarily.
Mico nodded his head. "It is wonderful there. And no, it's not too far away." He paused, then added, "At least, I don't think it is... it was hard to tell since I just kinda got carried along by everyone."
(( ... Is it bad that Mico's muse is alright with being friendzoned? ))

This strange pleasant feeling of peace was new to Acc as well. Normally he felt empty or angry, sometimes there was something that passed for slight happiness but it was fleeting if ever. “The sense of self preservation you have is unnerving. Still I’m not complaining.” He shrugged a bit waving off the comment about the sister. He would be just fine taking his mare and leaving. “You might not like the company I might keep or my family. My mother is nice and you would like her, but my father would eat you so meeting him you might want to stay right next to me like you are now. It’s the only chance you’ll live.” And not get taken from me.
“I get carried away too so I think it’s ok. We could rest and then when you feel ready to go we can head out.” She bounced a bit in place with her tail and nose twitching clearly excited. She couldn’t wait to see this place with the carrots and the human and all the interesting things that could be on a farm.
(it’s not bad when you consider that Ryo-Ohki is a ball of bouncy fun who will likely be dragging all her friends she makes to the carrot place and this means mares too. To be honest I think Mico dodged a bullet….. OTL how sad is that thinking of my own Azrein? Still I think for Mico I need to find someone who looks at him and says ‘hey this is mine now shut up.’ I’ll take a look at my singles list in a moment. Is Mico females interest only or are males ok too? And any alignment specifically or just tolerable to humans?)

Agnetha just smiled at his comment about her sense of self-preservation. "You don't get to be my age without knowing a thing or two about survival," she replied cheerfully. Even angels could be killed in the mortal realm, after all. The mare moved a little closer to his side at the second comment. "I'd love to meet your mother. And I'll try to not be eaten." Not leaving Aac's side was fine with her. She wasn't sure she'd want to leave it anyway, even for a moment.
Mico nodded. "Alright." He glanced at where Runa was quickly whittling down the number of suitors for her sister. "It almost looks like she's having fun."
(( Bahaha! Well, at least Mico has a new friend. I think Mico just needs someone who loves him. I doubt alignment really matters to him, as long as they don't try to hurt Yvar or his wife. ))
