x x x x x x x x x Clinging to him, Aiyana was hardly even aware she was doing such a thing. She was just so desperate to know she was safe that she had the werewolf in a death grip even as her tears faded away, leaving her trembling in his grip. Safe in his arms, and knowing she was, the last thing the flower spirit wanted to do was to let go and leave. It wasn't that she felt unsafe in his home - she didn't. Not after today and the flowering maple and just everything. But she was terrified of going back to sleep, of having those dreams. What if one day, he managed to pull her down into the darkness and she never woke up? Aiyana would never tell anyone that, but she was truly scared that it could happen, that no matter how much she screamed no one would come again and she'd be trapped forever in darkness. It made her ill just to think about it. She shuddered at the thought and whimpered in panic when he pulled her off of him, not wanting to be alone. Aiyana looked at him with a wounded gaze, clearly terrified - it was enough to break almost any heart if they were the focus of such an expression on the gentle spirit's face. But she nodded, her cheeks streaked with tears, when he said he would be back. Wrapping her arms around herself protectively as he walked out of the bedroom, she didn't move an inch, staring at the door and biting her lip.
She didn't even blink when the door opened, though her eyes widened when it was a wolf that came into the room instead of Isaiah. Aiyana was hardly afraid, realizing instantly it had to be him, and actually felt more comfortable with the wolf than the man, no matter how she had clung to him. It was part of being a nature spirit, she would always be more comfortable with animals and a smile appeared on her lips despite the tears still in her eyes when he dropped his head on her lap and looked at her with that silly expression, his tail wagging. When he jumped up and gave her his version of a hug, she wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his ruff, letting out a breath. "Thank you, Isaiah," she whispered in his fur. It took her a few minutes to settle down with him, but she ended up curled up next to the wolf, her arms still tightly around his neck. The flower spirit was a small ball next to the large creature, her head partially against his neck as she hugged him and nuzzled up to him for comfort. She definitely felt more secure with him and was somehow sure the nightmares wouldn't come with the wolf next to her. Whispering a 'good night' into his fur, Aiyana drifted off into sleep again, her scent returning to normal and even stronger than before.
The flower spirit slept the rest of the night peacefully, curled up to the wolf and not moving an inch. Her fingers were buried in his thick fur and by the time the sun began to rise, there was perhaps an unexpected result the werewolf had failed to think of in his effort to make Aiyana feel safe - while he smelled just a bit like her, the flower spirit was very obviously marked with his scent, though she wasn't aware of it. Waking up as the sun came up, just like a flower blooming, she began to stretch and paused when she felt something warm and furry next to her in the bed. Looking at him, her eyes heavy with sleep and her hair mussed, Aiyana gave him a drowsy sort of smile before snuggling back up to him instead of moving. "Good morning, Isaiah," she greeted him softly, her nightgown tangled up around her legs as she tucked herself back up against the furry wolf.

Oh god she was adorable. How could someone be this downright cute? It was easier to deal with now that he was in his wolf form, but it didn't mean his mind had changed. The only major positive was that his body couldn't give himself away. Nudging and encouraging Aiyana that he was safe, that he would be here for her through the night, when his name and a thanks were whispered into his fur, the man had to all but resist licking her to show his gratitude. With some shuffling and effort, the wolf stretched himself out across the girl's bed so she could curl up against his back to use his warm fur as a security blanket. Feeling her body against his back, the wolf allowed himself some moments to fully enjoy this, knowing that this would never happen in his human form. Her scent had returned back to normal, that much he could tell the more that the sweet thing drifted into sleep, and by the time the wolf dozed off, he was certain that her scent was back to it's normal strength, maybe even stronger. It was no surprise that the wolf's dreams were plagued with images of the spirit, but what was more surprising is that they were all future wishes in his mind; his dreams mainly circled around future family life, holidays in the countryside and at their shack by a lake. Things that the wolf found himself wishing more and more for when it got closer to Spring.
Finding that his little flower had woken up before him, the wolf shook his head a little when he felt the smaller being move, a soft greeting being spoken into his fur. Lifting his head to look behind him to the mop of trussed up white and pink hair, the wolf shifted himself a little to stick his nose into her hair and snuffle a bit. Waking up fully, the wolf slowly flopped himself around to face Aiyana and allowed himself to indulge in a little bit of goofiness - mainly sticking his nose against Aiyana to find any ticklish spots and pushing his face into her hands to get some nice head rubs and ear scratches. Admittedly, the wolf was doing this for a mildly selfish reason; he could smell his scent all over her. Thankfully it would fade after a few showers since he hadn't marked her during mating season, but for the moment the wolf revelled in the mixed scents, sending his mind wild.
All too soon though Isaiah knew he'd have to move. Being so close to Spring, he wanted to keep himself away from any temptations, and right now the man was tempted to shift forms and snuggle up to the spirit in person. Instead, the wolf slowly sat up and yawned, before leaping off the bed and trotting out the room. Her scent was lingering on his fur, and soon the man found out that her scent was lingering in his hair once he'd shifted back. Pulling on his PJ pants from the night before - and cursing his human body for giving away some obvious feelings he had towards Aiyana right now - Isaiah went back to her room and knocked on her door. "I'm going to have a quick shower and get some breakfast. If you want to do the same, you can meet me on the roof. It's chilly today, so rug up warm alright? It's sunny enough though." Turning away from her door and practically racing to his own room, the man locked himself inside his bathroom and willed his urges to go away. He knew things would just get worse and harder to control as the weeks ticked past, and he'd probably have to send himself away for the first few weeks of mating season when his urges were the worst. There was no way he was forcing anything on Aiyana.
Twenty minutes later, the image of the flower spirit in her nightgown still stuck in his mind, the wolf was showered, dressed in the same outfit as yesterday - except all the items were clean - and was in the kitchen gathering himself a man's breakfast; a large stack of buttered wholemeal toast, a bowl of fruit salad and a small bowl of oatmeal. Two glasses were stacked onto the tray, and there was juice in the bar fridge by the pool. Feeling on top of the world because he could still smell his flower spirit all over himself, he trekked to the roof to sit outside and enjoy his breakfast with his Aiyana. Getting possessive of the spirit was a trait that usually didn't show up so early in the wolf, but after last night and waking up to his scent all over the little being, he couldn't help himself. The dreams he had were stuck fast in his mind. The last time he dreamt of having a family was with.. Her. Shaking his head to remove the raven haired vixen from his mind, Isaiah opened the door to the roof and stopped in his tracks. She still smelt like him, he could tell that thanks to the gentle breeze gracing the roof. Today wasn't going to be easy for him, the more something smelt like him the more he wanted to hold it and cuddle it. Still afraid to get close to any woman though was what kept him from going with his urges though. The fear of being rejected again and his newly warped image of women was enough to stop him from pouncing on the woman. Instead, he settled down on a lounge chair and stretched himself out, arching his back with arms right above his head. Turning to his adorable spirit after this little stretch, he smiled at her kindly, his lazy Irish accent easier to understand now he was controlling it.
"Aiyana sweetie, what do you want to do today? We can read some more if you want? Maybe go out if it warms up a little? You can choose, little flower, I'm happy to do what you want."

x x x x x x x x x A soft smile appeared on her lips when he turned his head and nuzzled into her hair, messing it up even more. She didn't bother to push him away, since she didn't care, and looked at him curiously when he flopped himself over so he was facing her. When he started to poke her with his nose, tickling her in some spots, she giggled a few times as her hands went to his head, partially to get him off of her and then giving him the pets and head rubs and scratches behind his ears he was so obviously hoping for. The nature spirit was more than comfortable with animals of all kinds, even wild ones had rarely threatened her and were gentle around her people, so there was no instinctual fear of his wolf form. There had been no fear of humans, either - that had been taught. Aiyana wasn't able to smell the difference in her scent or his, or how they were mingling now after she had cuddled up to him all night. She was still laughing a bit when he decided to get up off the bed, although she'd been enjoying herself and her hands lingered in his dark fur as he pulled away from her fingers and padded out of the room. The flower spirit just yawned a bit and stretched, pushing her curls from her face and looking over to the door when he popped his head in. He seemed rushed and she blinked in surprise when he practically sprinted away.
Maybe he was trying to give her space, or worried he'd bothered her? He'd been so careful about not touching her - that had been something she had noticed and was grateful for - so that made sense in the flower spririt's mind. She nodded at his words about it being cooler and meeting him up on the roof, and waited until he shut the door behind him to get out of bed. Stretching as the nightgown fell around her legs, Aiyana went over to her plant and cooed at it, stroking a few leaves as it greeted her for the day. She opened a window a little bit and shivered. It had been so nice out yesterday, but it was definitely feeling like winter today. Not terrible, but enough she shut the window and padded into the bathroom for a warmer shower than before. Even the shower didn't wash away Isaiah's scent on her skin and in her hair, though it hadn't done much to get rid of or even cover up her own natural scent to start with. She wasn't trying to anyway and dried off. She had to admit, she liked the big fluffy towels Helena had given to her when she'd been settling her in. They were so soft, Aiyana imagined that they felt like clouds must feel like. She indulged herself in that silly little bit of fantasy for a few minutes, enjoying the soft fuzzy towel against her skin, before heading into her bedroom to find something to wear that would be warmer.
Most of the things she had bought were sleeveless, as she didn't like anything constricting. Helena had picked out a few things for her for cooler days, however, and Aiyana found a skirt and blouse that were soft and comfortable enough that she didn't mind the long sleeves on the blouse. She hummed a bit to herself as she dressed, sighing to herself when she had to concede defeat and wear a pair of the soft ballerina flats Helena had coaxed her into getting as well. Normally the nightmares from the previous night would have haunted her the rest of the day, but after spending the remainder of the night with the large, fuzzy wolf and cuddled up to him, they were banished back to her subconscious where they unfortunately would always linger and wait for her guard to be down, or for something to bring them back to the surface. She was happy for the moment, however, and could hear Isaiah moving around downstairs in the kitchen. For a moment she thought about going down to help and then realized how silly that would be. It wasn't as if she had any idea what she would be doing and she knew she'd be in the way more than anything. So she brushed some hair from her face and padded up to the roof instead.
Even though it was cold, it was sunny and Aiyana basked in the light with a smile on her face. She was over at the edge, resting against the half-wall and looking out over the city. Able to see the park from here, she smiled. Even if she didn't like the city, at least she was able to see some greenery from this place. It was slightly reassuring, and made it less alien to her. She didn't hear the werewolf coming up to the roof until she heard him set his things down and get comfortable on one of the chairs. Turning around, she gave him a small smile and walked over, sitting down on the other one and bringing her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them as he watched them. There was a look of surprise on her face when he asked if there was anything she wanted to do and she tipped her head a bit curiously at him. "You don't have anything to do?" she asked him innocently. She had thought yesterday was just to make her comfortable, maybe, and today he would go back to doing...whatever it was he did. "I wouldn't mind reading more. It's sort of cold to stay outside, though, even in the sun," Aiyana admitted softly, a bit more vulnerable to the cold, just as a flower was. Especially so early in the morning, with frost still on the ground. "Would you mind reading to me some more? I like the way the words sound when you say them," she added shyly, talking about his accent and just not knowing what to call it.

This Spring was going to be the hardest one on record. Sure Aiyana was dressed in the most simplistic outfit she probably had, but it was this simplicity that just suited her so well. The blouse that hung loosely around the top of her hips, while the drawstring skirt subtly gave her a waistline under the flowing blouse. Isaiah knew he was staring at the delicate beauty over by the half-wall that looked out over the city, but he couldn't help it, not when his scent was stuck so firmly to her at the moment. Did she know that? Maybe not, since even under the typical shower smells his own scent was intertwined with hers. He had to stop himself from whining openly as she came over and curled herself up on a lounge chair to watch him. Looking around for the jug of juice he was sure he'd picked up, the man realised it was still in the bar fridge. Keeping his eyes on Aiyana as he slowly stood up, he chuckled lightly as she asked in her innocent way if he had anything to do, his reply a shake of his head as he reached the mini bar outside. Retrieving a jug of pineapple juice, the man came back as Aiyana admitted she wanted to read more, then openly revealing something that made him stare just a little as he sat back down.
She liked his voice. Compliments about his voice were common, especially since he lived in a city that had their own little accent, but none had been so genuine as what Aiyana had just said. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and slowly it turned into a rather pleased grin. "Yeah... I can read to ya. I don't think it'll warm up much more today, so we can sit in front of the fireplace downstairs and take a look at some of the other books." Trying his best not to act like a high school boy that just got told his crush liked him, Isaiah eagerly began to eat his large breakfast, sharing his food with the flower spirit if she wanted any. There was sun out, but he didn't know if it would be enough to keep her energy levels high. It wasn't like he didn't have fruits she could nibble on, or cereal bars in the pantry, but he did feel a little guilty for devouring so much food in front of the woman.
Breakfast done with, the man sat back for a little while, enjoying the morning silence for the moment. Isaiah didn't get cold easily thanks to his wolf blood, but he could see the effect the cool morning was having on the spirit. Just like any plant in winter, she didn't seem to like the weather too much, and he suggested they moved inside. Putting away the juice and collecting his breakfast dishes, Isaiah went back inside with his petal, his little flower, his Aiyana. Trying his best not to let their combined scents send his mind into pre-spring chaos, the man shut his eyes for a moment as he put the dishes in the sink and he calmed himself down. Most of this could have been avoided if he'd found some pretty little thing for a one night stand the other week, but thanks to an influx of paperwork and most of the girls at the club being far too uptight and immature for his tastes, he hadn't found anything to bed and ditch. Then again, how was he to know that his sister was going to be buying him a live-in assistant? Well... A live-in angel that really was just there to make sure he woke up and actually went to work.
Gathering the books they'd bought, Isaiah set up a little spot in front of the gas heater, the fake fire casting the area in a comfortable warm glow. Table pulled out the way, a little nest of cushions and blankets had been made, and with a jug of water nearby, Isaiah did what Aiyana asked - he read to her. He made sure to speak clearly so she'd understand, and as time passed blissfully, the man had read her a couple of short story novels. By the time it hit mid-afternoon, Isaiah had moved onto something else - getting Aiyana to read herself. As much as he loved reading to her, he knew it would benefit her in the long run, so he got a couple of the plant books he'd found and set them out. As the little flower spirit began to read, something interesting began to happen. Each time she missed or word or got confused, Isaiah scooted closer to the woman, her scent filling his nose again. There was something about her spring meadow smell that just fit so well with his own, that he couldn't help himself and sat closer to the spirit. Isaiah didn't mean to scoot so close to her, but it just happened the more he had to help her out with some words.
It wasn't until Isaiah's phone loudly chimed that the man realised what he had been doing. Hand resting on the ground by Aiyana, he'd been leaning in so close that all he'd had to do was cup her chin and he could have kissed her. He'd been sitting with her like the cutesy couples in romance movies did in front of a fireplace, so the moment he heard his phone, he moved quickly away. Laughing a bit, in reality his phone had startled him. "Stupid device. It's probably Helena, let me go check, petal." Almost happy for the distraction, he slowly stood and went to go fetch his phone from the kitchen bench where he'd placed it earlier. Back turned to Aiyana, the man took a moment for himself to rid his mind of the thoughts running through it. He'd been so close... So close to her, and his instincts had known it. Reading the text from Helena, noting that she'd be coming round with a message from work at some point, the man made his way back, and sat back down with the woman, his phone finding a new home on the floor next to him. "Helena's coming round today. I don't know when though... She has something from work she wants to discuss. How about we look at a flora index instead? Less words, more pictures. I want to see the flowers that you listed the other day." Talking softly, not meaning to sound quite as loving as he was, it was being in front of the fireplace that had made him become an utter softy. She'd been the last woman he'd ever had some cute moments with in front of the heater, and his mind and body weren't letting him forget that. As much as his heart ached for the pain She'd left him with, Aiyana's scent mixed with his wolf's was enough to keep him smiling as he opened the large book filled with glossy pictures of flowers, all listed from A to Z.
So absorbed in the book, and the cute little spirit pointing out the flowers she liked, Isaiah didn't hear Helena arrive, the ding of his elevator usually catching his ear. Not receiving a greeting even though she could smell her brother close by, Helena walked in and looked around for him. Stopping right near the kitchen, a new scent caught her nose - a mixed scent. It was Aiyana's for sure, but it smelt... Different. It smelt like she'd been around Isaiah in his animal form. Frowning a little, she soon spied the two and immediately her expression changed. Well wasn't this adorable? Isaiah, flicking through a picture book with the shy little woman. Oh man, she'd never let him forget this. Choosing not to kill the moment, Helena just hovered by the kitchen, waiting for one of them to notice her, wanting to make things as awkward as possible for her brother later on.

x x x x x x x x x Aiyana had no idea that he was staring at her when he came up the stairs, too busy looking around the city. She was less self-conscious around the man as well, though such comfort could be easily broken by the slightest thing, it was so new and fragile. Sitting on the lounge, she smiled when he said he'd read to her and liked the idea of going inside. The only reason she was comfortable with the idea of the fireplace was because Helena had explained to her it was fake, that it wasn't real fire. She'd been in tears when the woman had brought her into the room when they were first there and the poor werewolf had had to calm her down. Like any flower or plant, fire was not Aiyana's friend and she had the scars to prove it. Shuddering at the memory, she pushed it away and concentrated on Isaiah instead. He seemed happier for some reason this morning and she wondered if it was being in his wolf form that did such a thing. It was nice to see, after his sister said how he was moping about and behaving, though Aiyana didn't attribute the change to herself at all. She ate a bit of his breakfast, not too hungry after the day in the park and then dinner the night before, and was content to sit while he inhaled it all. How he was able to eat so much, she didn't know.
It was nice outside, but too cold for her liking and she was glad when he decided to go in. She didn't want to ask, figuring that he liked being outside, so the last thing she wanted was to keep him from doing something that made him happy. But the flower spirit really was cold and kept close to him as they went downstairs, the first time she'd done that save for when she had to out in the city. She followed him around the kitchen curiously, perhaps getting a bit underfoot, but nothing he complained about or scolded her for. She simply didn't want to be by herself after the nightmares last night, or the memories surfacing this morning. All she wanted was for them to go away. So she padded after the wolf quietly, following him around as he got the books and went into the living room. She liked it, even if she thought it could use a few more plants to brighten the place up. Tucking that thought away, the flower spirit curled up into the nest he had made and got herself comfortable. She watched him with an expectant sort of gaze as he sat down, though she didn't curl up to him or anything of the sort. It was a small miracle that her knee was grazing against his while she listened to him read, her eyes closing a bit as she relaxed and listened the lulling lilt of his accent.
When it switched to her reading, she was less relaxed but still enjoying herself. She only grew frustrated when she made mistakes she thought were stupid and it wasn't out of impatience, but frustration. Aiyana wanted to read, and read well, and figure out what secrets books had. Concentrating on the words and squiggles on the pages that made them, she didn't notice the werewolf scooting over to her each time she made a mistake. Deep down she was aware of his presence, of the warmth his werewolf body was putting off against her skin and his much-larger form hovering over hers. But it was a subconscious awareness and not one that made her wary of him, or scoot away in fear. Rather, she was so busy on the words and his gentle corrections that she relaxed, her finger moving under the words to keep her place as she haltingly went through the lines bit by bit. It didn't make much sense to her, as she was too busy concentrating to actually listen to what she was saying, but Aiyana was growing a little more used to the words in her mouth and that they didn't always sound like what they looked like on the glossy paper. Still, she much preferred listening to Isaiah read than doing it herself. It didn't sound as nice when she tried, she knew, even if he was being nice.
Busy focusing on the book, she jumped a bit when his phone went off. Looking up as he moved away, she didn't realize how close he'd been and just blinked up at him as he went to check it. Aiyana waited patiently for him to come back. When he did, picking up the other book, she tilted her head a bit at his tone. There was something different about it, it was nice, but she wasn't sure why. Settling back down with the new book, she perked up when she saw all the pictures and eagerly began to look through it, pointing out the ones she liked and the ones she knew. There were none she didn't know - a flower spirit, after all - and it was obvious she was enjoying herself more after struggling with the other book for what seemed like forever to her. Aiyana lacked their keener senses and didn't hear the elevator's soft ding at all, or Helena's footsteps in the house. "They don't have this right," she told him absently, making a bit of a face at the discolored flower. It had been dyed in a greenhouse to look that way, but she didn't know that and didn't like it. It wasn't natural to her and while it wasn't ugly, it wasn't...right. Like if she had orange hair.

Did she really have to act so cute? Tilting her head to the side like a curious puppy, especially with those large, curious eyes? Isaiah knew this woman was going to be the death of his resolve, but when he wasn't too sure. He knew he'd have to leave for a night when that time came, but for the time being he was pretty sure he could cope. Settling down with the woman again, her face seemed to relax and light up a little as the new book was placed into her hands, the man sitting at a comfortable distance instead of right in her personal bubble like before. This was much more fun, looking through the flowers and plants rather than struggling through lovely novels. This was much more preferable. Isaiah knew that Aiyana liked it better when he read to her, but if she could make her way through the glossy encyclopaedia's of flowers (the simpler ones obviously), then she'd find herself able to read the harder books in no time flat.
Without knowing that his sister was watching, Isaiah sat by the little flower spirit and became quite absorbed in the book, listening to her point out each plant and flower she knew and liked, and revelled in her excitement. She was simply adorable in every way, and the wolf found himself falling under the spell of her mixed scent again, loosing himself in her springtime aroma with his wolfish tones mixed in. It wasn't until he found himself leaning in close to Aiyana as she identified a flower that just didn't seem right to her eyes (it did indeed look quite wrong colourwise) that the man realised they weren't alone. Head snapping around, ponytail slapping his shoulders, Isaiah blushed a little as his eyes fell onto the face of his smirking sibling. How long had she been watching them? It was incredibly rude to enter someone's home and not give any sign of arrival, even if it was your brother's home... right?
Moving away from his little flower reluctantly, Isaiah smiled at her. "Look who's here, petal" He cooed sweetly to the woman, feeling slightly overwhelmed with affection and possession at the moment. Helena could smell the shift in her brother's hormones and chewed the inside of her cheek as the female looked up, grinned and proceeded to make her way over with the book of flowers. After a few moments of show and tell, Helena stopped the excited flower spirit. "Aiyana honey, I have to ask Isaiah something very important. How about you find all the flowers in the book that don't look correct and make a list of them. We can find the right pictures later when we're done." Although the little spirit looked mildly confused, Helena was thankful that she did wander back over to the fireplace with the book. Watching Aiyana go back to where they'd been sitting, Isaiah found himself facing Helena's frowning face, a look of confusion on his own.
"Why. Does. She. Smell. Like. You?" The sibling demanded, her finger prodding his chest hard with every word. Batting away his sister's hand, Isaiah held up his hands in defence. "She had a nightmare last night; she woke up screaming and scared. I.. Changed so she'd feel safe falling asleep with someone nearby for safety. I'm not going to curl up to her like this when Spring is close by, dork." Ruffling his sister's hair, the woman seemed to accept his answer, but still seemed sceptical. "Look, whatever the reason, don't make a habit out of it, okay? I came around because you need to go into the club tonight. There's a couple of things you need to sign off; I've done my bit and you need to go do yours." Nodding, Isaiah didn't answer for a moment, his eyes drifting over to Aiyana. "I'll stay here until you get home okay? It's... 2pm now, so if you leave at five then you shouldn't be home late. Plus you can go stuff your face somewhere and not disgust Aiyana." Pulling his sister into a tight hug, she squirmed a little in her brother's arms. "For you, fine. I'll go be Mr. Business." Getting an appreciative hug, the siblings wandered back over to Aiyana.
"Aiyana~" The man cooed, adopting the cutesy tone from before that made Helena mentally gag. "I have to go into work in a few hours. I won't be gone too late, but Helena is going to stay here with you while I'm away. Did you find any other flowers that didn't look right?" Sending Helena to get his iPad from his office, Isaiah looked up whatever flower didn't seem right to Aiyana to try and find the correct one, while teaching her how to use the device in his hands. As much as the male didn't want to leave his little petal, he knew that tonight he'd have to. He was becoming clingy already, and there was still a good three weeks of winter left. Isaiah knew he was lusting after the woman because he had some pent up sexual energy that he hadn't rid himself of, but he had a feeling that her scent wasn't helping. While he loved the idea of his home smelling like a fresh spring/summery meadow of delight, he knew her mature scent would soon infect him. If he could just hold out until the beginning of spring, until the first week was over, he knew he'd be alright.
"How would you like to look at some plants for the roof top, Aiyana?" His sister's voice snapped the man out of his thought train and stared at the female who now had the tablet in her hands. Staring, a little stunned at when the taking of his ipad actually occurred, Isaiah just went with it, leaning back against a couch to listen to Helena offer up some suggestions for plants. Fruit trees that could grow in some big pots, flowers that could be grown in special planter boxes fixed to the outside walls of each of their upper apartment levels, even some herb garden ideas for the small balcony adjoining the first floor lounge room. Pushed aside a little while the females had their "girly time", Isaiah had to chuckle to himself over the idea of them plotting to turn his apartment into a miniature greenhouse; even though the thought of losing every room to plants was quite scary. His sister didn't have too many female friends outside of the girls that worked at the club, so knowing that she got along well with Aiyana was a blessing, even if Aiyana was to be the one to push and shove the werewolf back into his old ways.

x x x x x x x x x Seeing Helena, Aiyana brightened up immediately at the sight of the female werewolf. She hopped to her feet and went over, not noticing Isaiah's look of surprise at his sister being there. Of course the flower spirit wouldn't have sensed her there and was just happy she could show someone she was learning, even if it was only a little bit. She also didn't notice the male's odd behavior towards her, how his tone of voice was changing and how he was acting more possessive over her already. Just happy she could show someone, Aiyana held the book and demonstrated to Helena how she could read some of it, though obviously the harder, longer words were still a mystery to her. When she was stopped, she blinked and did look a bit confused, since the woman sounded so serious. Afraid she was in trouble for a moment, when the female said she had to ask her brother something, Aiyana relaxed and nodded, not thinking that it had anything to do with her at all. Content to go look at the flowers some more as bidden, the flower spirit took herself back over to the fake fireplace and settled down in front of its warmth, curling up on the pillows with the book in her lap.
She looked up with a smile when Isaiah came over and wasn't very perturbed when he said he was going to be gone for a little while. Unlike the hormonal werewolf, she wasn't very clingy to him much at all, more to Helena in fact than the male. So she simply nodded and when he asked about the flowers, smiled and perked up. "Not very many, but I did. Why do they look so strange?" she asked plaintively. While she showed him the flowers that were 'wrong', she listened to his explanation, but he soon gave up and she didn't bother him. It didn't make sense to her, dying flowers and changing them, and no matter how Isaiah would try to word it she'd never 'get it', so it was best to just let the matter drop before she got too confused. Aiyana didn't notice the male was daydreaming, though his sister did, getting the tablet from his hands without so much as a protest and taking over his 'job' of looking up the flowers. And when she asked about looking at flowers for the rooftop, Aiyana beamed and was practically over the moon. Caught up talking to Helena and listening to her suggestions, it was easy to ignore the male and his departure as they looked at the plants and trees.
Humming throughout the afternoon, Aiyana happily followed the female werewolf around. They went up to the roof to look and see what sort of plants could go where, and then into her room to decide what she could put in there as well to brighten it up. Helena understood that the spirit needed plants to thrive and figured if they kept them to the roof and her bedroom, then that would be enough for her. As for Aiyana, she was simply overwhelmed with how kind they were being, having not had plants of her own in decades, and couldn't believe she was getting any now. They made a light lunch - well, Helena did and the flower spirit watched her intently, trying to learn - and despite the cooler weather the werewolf took her out to the park to go for a walk. She held Aiyana's hand tightly, though it didn't matter as the flower spirit wasn't about to go running off anyway. It was a bit more crowded and she had gotten that sort of impulsiveness out of her system. At least, until spring when everything was blooming. But for now she was content with walking around and looking, answering any questions Helena had. For most of the walk they were quiet, however, each content with having someone else there to be a friend.
By the time Isaiah would have returned home, Aiyana was curled up on the couch watching television. Helena had found some nature programs, ones without all the killing and eating of animals by other animals, and the flower spirit was clearly fascinated by it. It gave the woman some time to take care of her own business without feeling guilty for leaving her alone for a few minutes and there was a large bowl of cut-up fruit and vegetables that Aiyana was munching on absently, watching the flowers bloom in high-speed with wide eyes. It seemed like magic to her and she was completely absorbed in it. She was growing more and more relaxed in her new home and it was mostly thanks to Helena taking care of her and being there. Just having another female around to talk to and not be with a strange male was enough to relax her, especially since Helena was so kind to her. Isaiah was...she wasn't sure. Sometimes she remembered he was a man and was afraid of him, and then other times he was just so nice and nonthreatening she couldn't bring herself to be afraid of him. "When's Isaiah coming back?" Aiyana asked the female suddenly, looking over from the television to her.

If he was to be honest, Isaiah felt very shoved aside now that he'd agreed to go to the club for his sister, and pouted for a few hours until he needed to leave. With just over an hour left before he had to go, he excused himself - which fell on deaf ears thanks to the talk of flowers and plants - and went to his room to find something nice to wear to the club. While it wasn't totally necessary to dress up to the teeth in fancy attire, Isaiah felt like it from time to time. Sure a few people looked down their nose at him for dressing like your typical rich play-boy club owner, Isaiah didn't care when they did. He liked where he was in life, it made things easier on himself and his sister, and it just meant they didn't have any major worries. Except for spring, but they had gotten pretty good at dealing with that. Showering and shaving, the man applied only the smallest amount of aftershave to his person, just enough to cover up his scent and the remains of Aiyana's. He didn't need her clouding his mind any more than she already was. Heading downstairs to say goodbye, he got a careless wave from his sister, and nothing from Aiyana. While it was foolish to expect her to run up to bid him a good evening this early, he had at least hoped she might have looked his way. Sighing as the elevator dinged for him, he excused himself.
Helena was having a great time with her new gal pal. While she knew Aiyana would soon learn the ins and outs of their semi-hectic lifestyle, for the time being it was quite nice to just sit down and relax with someone of her own gender. After their little internet adventure (Helena had a great idea about what plants to buy now) the female wolf placed the little white-haired woman in front of the television. It sounded like a lazy option, but it wasn't. There was a channel on their satellite set-up that had all these fantastic nature programs, and setting up a stream from his laptop as well for when the first documentary ended - thank god for technology and the cables that connected laptops to television - Helena could potter about and make sure her brother's files were in order. As dinner time rolled around, a bowl of fruit and some raw vegetables was placed on the table for the spirit to nibble at while Helena continued her pottering and snooping. Finding a couple of images in the desk of his office that she didn't like - compared to the ones she knew were already there - the woman just put them aside to confront him later. Hearing Aiyana's voice suddenly call out, the wolf went scurrying back. "Not sure love. It could be a couple of hours, or many. I'll be here until he gets home, so don't fret." Smiling at the little thing watching tv so quietly, Helena sighed silently; hearing the spirit ask about her brother was a nice sign, but it was troubling. If Isaiah caught any wind of the pretty being missing him, then who knows what could happen?
TIME SKIP; 5PM TO MIDNIGHT
To say that his night had gone smoothly would be an understatement. Given on any night their club was overrun by creatures that mingled with humans - it was almost comical to the man that the humans were unaware of the creatures that walked amongst them in humanoid forms - it seemed that tonight the humans overran the creature count. Which was quite bad for the werewolf - female humans had stronger scents than non-humans, and it was easier to tell when they were lusting after a male. Add that into an already overly stimulated werewolves mind and something bad was always going to happen. A night that was meant to revolve solely around work ended up as a little extra something else for the wolf. A small rendezvous down the side of the alley next to the club with a pretty - and very drunk - lady had left the wolf feeling worlds better. While it wasn't what he had wanted to do, it at least made the springtime urges subside for the time being; just as long as he didn't need to curl up to Aiyana again any time soon.
Making his way back home, Isaiah felt confident that he would be able to live in relative peace for the next few weeks. The new plants would hide her scent for the first week, so maybe if they bought new ones every five days up until spring, it would mask her feminine scent right up until he needed to get away. Smiling to himself as he entered the residents only entrance of the building (it was midnight so the main doors were locked for safety), the smile stayed on his face as he entered the lift. He wasn't sure what he was going to find upon returning back home, but it surely wasn't what was waiting for him. Sitting in near darkness was Helena, the hidden pictures in Isaiah's desk in her hands. She had sent Aiyana to bed not yet an hour ago, and was now waiting for her brother to walk in. Just as the man wasn't expecting a slightly annoyed female, the female wasn't expecting a man that smelt of sexual release.
"Couldn't help yourself could you? What trash did you hump and dump tonight?" The quietness of his sister's voice caused Isaiah to yelp in surprise as he exited the elevator. Eyes adjusting to the dim room - the only light was from his lamps dotted here and there - he could see her silhouette in the lounge room, and could smell her growing rage. "I didn't sleep with anyone. Just had a lil' bit o' fun. Why you gettin' so angry anyways? Wouldn't you prefer me to release my tension with someone who aint Aiyana?" Leaning against the wall nearby, he just stared at his sister, feeling a little bit disappointed that she was so angry he got a little bit of action. The funniest thing was how Isaiah's Irish accent always played up when he began to argue with his sister. "Obviously I'd rather you not sleep with her... But did you really have to go out and find someone... So soon? I mean seriously..." Walking away from his sister, not wanting to justify his actions right now, a small hand grabbing the sleeve of his jacket stopped him and made him turn around.
The second he turned around a small number of photos were thrown into his face, making Isaiah grunt and flap his hands around his face. "Wha' tha' hell Helena?" A small growl emanated from the females throat, a sort of growl that was a mix between disappointment and oddly enough, sadness. "You still have her photos. Even after what she did? How can you keep those images?" Tears welled in Helena's eyes as she stared up at her brother, who had begun to back away up the stairs, his head shaking slowly side to side. She could smell the sudden wave of emotion that had washed over him. "Yah... Yah don' geddit. Yah don' un'erstan'..." The Irish accent was thicker now, the photo's of the raven haired, pale skinned woman scattered over the floor for a moment before Helena slowly picked up the slightly crumpled images. "Then tell me why! Tell me why you still have her images-" A hand punching a wall shut Helena up, a yelp and a whimper coming from her as she looked up at her brothers face, his expression a mix of rage and utter heartbreak. "Enough! I dun want to talk about her! Leave. It. Alone. Ye should 'ave kept yer nose out mah things. Thanks for looking after Aiyana."
Storming his way upstairs, a rather upset Helena put the images back where they were hiding and left her brother's apartment after writing him an apologetic letter. Isaiah on the other hand did the only thing he could think of right now - cry. Jacket thrown across his bedroom and his shirt (literally) torn off, the man slid down his door, his back dragging on the wood until he hit the floor. Isaiah didn't even think about his punch or angry voice potentially waking Aiyana, all he could feel right now was rage and sadness. He knew his sister had meant well, but the memory of Her was still too painful to talk about. Running a hand through his hair, all Isaiah could do was hug his knees to his chest and cry. His whole body felt like it hurt, and it was all thanks to the memory of that one woman with the ebony hair.

x x x x x x x x x The rest of the evening was spent in the laziest way possible. For the flower spirit whose life had turned upside-down in such a short amount of time, and exposed to so many new things so quickly, it was a blessing to be able to rest and simply curl up on the cushions. She was fascinated by the programs, how they sped up time, and the voices of the people narrating the shows were soothing to her, nonthreatening. Nothing dying, nothing being eaten, no blood. Just flowers and trees and all sorts of things that kept Aiyana fixed on the television. She felt nice and safe with Helena, faintly hearing the woman bustle around. Not that she knew what she was doing, and honestly she didn't much care, either. Just having her presence was soothing and after a few hours the flower spirit was found napping on the couch, the murmuring of the British David Attenborough continuing on in the background.
She found herself being put to bed as if she were a child. Just as Isaiah's instincts were kicking in a bit early because of her, Helena's mothering instinct seemed to showing, enough she fussed a bit over the flower spirit and made sure she was tucked in all right. Her brother had told her about the little being's nightmare, after all, and Helena wanted her to go to sleep soothed and calm, and not wake up in terror. Cuddling up to a pillow, and finding that part of her wanted the furry wolf she'd slept with the night before Aiyana fell asleep after a bit, her nightgown tangled around her legs with the blanket. The bed was comfortable, and only moreso when she had slept on floors for so many years of her enslaved life. Nothing would be better than the warm earth, in her opinion, but this was still nice and warm.
It wasn't the arguing that woke her up. It wasn't the hand punching the wall, or the yelp of surprise from Helena. Those were noises she had been forced to listen to for years and years and as much as she disliked them, they were background noises to her now, things she had grown used to hearing and had been forced to sleep through. Otherwise she never would have survived, never would have slept.
No. It was the crying that woke her.
Drowsy and confused, the flower spirit got to her feet, her hair falling around her face messily and her nightgown folding around her legs as she moved out of her room and tried to figure out where the noise was coming from. It was a sound she was unfortunately familiar with, one of sorrow and heartbreak and agony and pain. Biting her lip, Aiyana went to where Isaiah's room was and was shocked to realize that the noise was coming from there. She didn't bother to knock, having no real concept of personal space anyway when she was worried, and instead slipped quietly into the room. He had moved to the bed, curled into a ball like a child might to protect itself. Unsure what to do, and a bit scared at what could make him like this, Aiyana hesitated before slowly going over to him. "Isaiah?" she asked softly. She got no response out of him and she sighed in worry. The little flower spirit moved closer and got up on his bed, shifting so she was sitting against his back.
"Isaiah..." Her voice trailed off, as she didn't know what to say. It had been an age since she had comforted anyone else. So she just hugged him from behind, her fingers smoothing his hair back and her voice making soothing noises to try to calm him, like she might with a child.

Pathetic.
Weak.
Stupid.
All those words and more were floating through Isaiah's head as he sat by his door. It took at least five minutes for him to get up to try and calm himself down, but all he managed to do was throw some clothes around the room, kick a bunch of shoes about and throw a book at the wall (a pathetic throw since it barely made a sound as it hit the wall). Frustrated that he was letting some memory get the best of him, the man attempted to kick his bed but wound up stubbing his big toe pretty bad. This only made Isaiah more emotional and throwing himself onto his bed, he just let his emotions out in the most appropriate way for the moment - crying. Balling himself up with his quilt, the man hid his face in the soft squishiness and poured his heart out into the material. Crying was rather odd for a grown man who was a good number of centuries old, and had been through a lot.
The sound of his door opening didn't register in his mind, neither did the sound of delicate feet padding across his floor. It wasn't until he felt a soothing hand on his shirtless back that turned into a reassuring lean with hands stroking his hair back that Isaiah realised he wasn't alone. The sobbing stopped and instead he just laid still in his curled up ball, hugging the quilt as the little flower spirit hugged him. Her scent was incredibly calming, and slowly, the male shifted forms. He felt more comfortable this close to her in his wolf form, and once the male had turned into the large black fluffy wolf, he turned around and pushed his head into her arms, wanting a hug. Snuffling against her, it didn't take the male long to fall asleep, keeping the flower spirit with him. The fresh spring meadow scent that seemed to surround her was incredibly soothing, and it pushed the hurtful memories out of Isaiah's head.
-- time skip --
Waking late into the morning, the wolf yawned widely. He'd curled himself around Aiyana in the night, and had slept incredibly peacefully, even after a panic attack thanks to past memories. Pushing his nose gently into the mass of white hair with it's pink streaks, Isaiah inhaled the grassy scent that had sent him so nicely off to sleep and crawled out of bed. Picking up a t-shirt from the day before with his teeth and a pair of simple track pants, the wolf padded over to the bathroom and changed back into his human form. Pulling on the shirt and pants, he walked back into the bed area and sat down on the edge, reaching out gently to pet Aiyana's lower calf. "Aiyana? Petal? Are you awake? ... I want to apologise for last night." Rubbing the back of his neck, he kept his back to the woman. "I just... The memory of this woman I used to... Know is rather.. It's painful. I'm sorry I woke you up, I didn't mean to be so loud." Of course he was talking about his little fits of rage, not his crying, but Isaiah didn't know it was the crying that actually woke the woman up.
"One day I'll tell you about her, and why it hurts. But not now, you don't need my troubles weighing you down." Ruffling his hair at the base of his neck, he slowly turned to face Aiyana, his eyes looking tired and worn, the fire behind the bright blue orbs not as fierce as it once was. "Did you and Helena find some nice plants? We could go buy some today if you want?" Shrugging while trying to make the best out of a depressing situation was something Isaiah was - sadly enough - good at. He did honestly want to take Aiyana out to slowly fill her room with plants she wanted and liked, mostly so she was comfortable. But also he could see what being around flora did to her - it brightened her up, made her seem healthier and happier. Isaiah liked it when Aiyana smiled; that much he'd already figured out so early on. If Aiyana did want to go out, showers and breakfast were next on the agenda, as well as a better change of clothing.

x x x x x x x x x It was heartbreaking to see the man so broken like this and she wondered what had happened to cause such a thing. Soothing him, stroking his hair and back, the flower spirit blinked in surprise when the man changed into a wolf after a little bit. She had to smile when he snuffled into her for hugs and Aiyana gladly obliged, wrapping her arms around his big fuzzy head. As he got comfortable, he was practically on top of her and she settled down on her back with her fingers still buried in his thick ruff. Warm and comfortable like this, Aiyana didn't even think about how odd it was that she felt safe there, even when she was in his bed and completely at his mercy. Instead she just snuggled up to the wolf and closed her eyes, more than ready to get some sleep now that he seemed to have calmed down. All she wanted was to make him feel better and since she seemed to have accomplished exactly that, the flower spirit let herself fall back asleep, the wolf curled up around her protectively.
--------
She didn't wake up when he did, sound asleep on his bed with her fingers still buried in his fur. Instead Aiyana tried to hold onto him as he moved out of the bed, even in her sleep. It wasn't until he was sitting on the bed and she felt a hand on her calf that she woke up with a jolt. For a moment her heart was racing and in her throat, her eyes wide and face pale as a surge of bad memories of her own came galloping to the forefront of her mind. Hearing Isaiah's voice, however, let her breathe out slowly and sit up, slowly relaxing as she realized where she was and that nothing bad had happened to her. His apology surprised her and brought her mind back to the present as she listened to him, confused why he was apologizing. Before she could asked, he had continued, and she didn't want to interrupt him. It seemed important for him to talk and she was more than willing to listen. And part of her was happy when he said he'd tell her about it one day - because that meant she was doing good, what Helena had bought her for, despite being scared of him.
Pushing some hair from her eyes, the female gave him a sleepy sort of smile. She was still waking up, not used to sleeping so long, but it was nice for a change. "It's okay. I didn't mind being woken up," Aiyana told him with a nod of her head, some of her curls falling over her shoulder with the motion. "And we found a lot of plants, Helena said she left a list on your thingy for you to look at later,," the female added, referring to his tablet. He looked different, she realized, not all happy like he had been before. That worried her, since she didn't know how to fix it or what was really wrong with him to start with. People were harder than plants to heal and part of Aiyana worried she couldn't keep her promise to Helena. Getting to her feet, since he seemed to want to get out of the house, Aiyana gave him a small smile. "I'll go get ready to go out, then," she said shyly, before heading back to her room.
It didn't take her long to shower and dress. Though she didn't like sleeves or shoes, she could tell by looking outside how cold it was and didn't want to freeze. At least Helena had gotten her a 'cape' as opposed to a 'coat', something that had been tight and uncomfortable when Aiyana had tried it on. She thought she looked silly, but Helena had insisted it was adorable and bought it for her. But it was soft and warm, so the flower spirit trudged out of her room and headed downstairs, not very hungry but picking up a banana and eating that, enjoying the taste when it wasn't too ripe yet. It wasn't as if she really had to eat normally and simply waited patiently for Isaiah, not about to call out that she was ready or anything like that.

She wasn't angry, thank god. after turning around to face her slowly, worry was still set on his face, but it fell off upon seeing her still slightly sleepy expression. His lust was non-existent thanks to last night, so he could appreciate her beauty for it's full form now. He could see why men would want her for more than just a maid or servant, and the thought made his stomach knot. The curls that fell over her shoulder, her soft voice as she explained that Helena had helped her find some plants on his tablet (oh it was cute how she called it 'his thingy'), but then he smelt her worry. Was it the way he looked right now? Probably, there was a large chance he looked like s**t. But there she was, looking like sugar and roses. It was nice to wake up next to someone again, in a completely innocent way. Watching her get up to go back to her room, shyly saying she was going to get ready, Isaiah found himself smiling in return. "Take your time, petal." He said softly, watching her leave his room. Getting up to check the weather on his phone, it was much colder than it had been in the last few days, which was a good thing in his eyes cause then his body would be reminded it was still winter, Isaiah went to his wardrobe to grab clothing appropriate for the weather. What he picked out was admittedly less flashy than his usual outfits, but he didn't feel like he needed the expensive coats or shoes; it was just a nursery, not a restaurant where he'd potentially run into a business partner. The jeans were the only real expensive thing he picked out, and clothes over his arm, he went to his bathroom to get ready.
Taking a little while longer than Aiyana had, Isaiah finished putting on his watch down the stairs and smiled upon seeing the waiting woman. She was in a cape with a faux fur trim and a long purple dress. Feeling delightfully underdressed now compared to his companion, the wolf went to the kitchen to prepare a quick breakfast. There was a letter of apology sitting atop his tablet, and with a heavy heart he read the letter Helena had left him while making two bagels; one with cream cheese, the other with parma ham, rocket and cheddar cheese. The parma ham bagel was devoured in the time it took him to read the letter, while the cream cheese one was eaten in the short time it took him to transfer the plant list from his tablet to his phone via email. The list was extensive, but not over the top. Most plants would be quite happy on the small balcony in the lounge room, while the others would look fantastic on the rooftop. Looking over to Aiyana who was being so patient, Isaiah re-wrapped the scarf around his neck and beckoned her to follow. "Alright, lets go start transforming my house then." The smile on his face and the cheerful note in his voice hinted that he was feeling better, and even his eyes looked warmer - the man was definitely feeling better.
It was a short trip from the apartment building to the nursery just on the edge of the city, and the day couldn't have been nicer - except perhaps if it was warmer. It didn't really matter to the werewolf, he was warm all year around, but seeing the flower spirit rugged up didn't feel right. It was dangerous to freely wish for the seasons to be warmer, since he knew what would happen if it did, but flowers always bloomed the most beautiful in spring, so wouldn't Aiyana feel better in the warmth? Seeing how happy the spirit was at seeing the vast array of well-cared for plants, the man simply let her run around. He was in no hurry, and on the plus side, they had a nice cafe in the heart of the tropical plant section. With some gentle coaxing, that's where he led the woman. His plan was to have a coffee and some lunch, let Aiyana explore, get the items on the list and go home. They would need to have everything delivered (there was no way he was getting everything in his car), so his plan was to let the spirit pick her favourite flower to take in the car to put in her room. Sitting at a table that had the best vantage spot of the tropical section, Isaiah offered to take Aiyana's cape - it was nice and humid in this area. "I'll be sitting right here, so just come back over when you're ready to go home." Of course it was a bit of a silly action to let the flower spirit when to go after letting her loose in a plant nursery, but he wanted to do something nice for the girl after she put up with him last night. Plus having her cape with him kept her scent fresh in his mind, making it easier to keep an eye on her without actually keeping an eye on her.
||o.o.c;; Bit better than last time, woo! I'll write about their trip home, so you can include as much or as little about her adventure in your post :3 we can always go over finer details in PM's anyway >w< ||

x x x x x x x x x While she was eager to go, Aiyana simply sat and watched the man as he ate and read something that had been on the counter. Of course she didn't ask him what it was, as it wasn't her business, but she was curious about the food. The first thing he ate smelled awful to her and she wrinkled her nose, but the white stuff didn't smell that bad at all. If he hadn't been distracted, the flower spirit would have asked him if she could try some, but he looked like he was busy and she didn't want to bother him. Not when he still had that sad look in his eyes, like there was a wound deep down that had come back to haunt him. She knew that expression far-too well and wondered what could have caused the confident man to feel like that, or what could have affected him so deeply. Had he lost someone he loved? That was the first thing that popped into her mind as she studied him, as that was her experience, and the experience of many slaves she had met. But he hadn't been a slave, had he? But then she remembered what Helena had said when they met, that he had been hurt badly...was it that?
Frowning, Aiyana didn't like seeing anyone in pain. Especially Isaiah.
When he was ready to go, she got to her feet and relaxed slightly, seeing how his expression had changed. Even a little improvement was better than nothing and the spirit obediently followed him, though she made a face when she had to get in the car. She didn't like the smell, or how fast it went, or anything about it, really. But it was necessary and it was just one of many she'd had to go in throughout the years, so she didn't do something unseemly like burst into tears - that had happened with the very first car she had been forced into. Snuggling up into the cape thingy and doing her best to stay warm with the chill in the air, Aiyana watched the scenery speed by until she felt a bit sick, and then just closed her eyes for the remainder of the trip. She was excited about getting more plants, but for the moment that was buried down as she simply waited for the chance to get out of the car.
Once they were there and Isaiah had guided her inside, her eyes went wide when she saw how many plants there were. It had been an age since she had been around so many and her joy was instantly visible as they all began to grown and bloom - much to the shock of the other patrons, some of whom stepped away in momentary fear at the display of gaudy color. It was hard to get her to move at all, her surprise was so great, but the man managed to prod her where he wanted to go. The humidity and heat instantly brought color to her cheeks, her hair seeming to lighten up and brighten as well. When he took the cape, she was happy to give it to him, pushing her sleeves up as well. No sooner had he essentially told her to go explore than she was wandering away, almost in a daze at how many there were. Her scent was instantly lost among all the plants and she hovered over them lovingly, her eyes bright. Someone came over to ask her if she needed help and perhaps hadn't expected the barrage of names and questions that were flung out - did they have this, did they have that? It went on and on and the woman was finally able to get a word in and pause the woman with the odd hair, writing things down. She showed Aiyana around and was more and more surprised every time the flower spirit picked a plant - which was every plant she was shown. It was obvious it was going to be a very large order indeed and even Aiyana knew she wouldn't get to take them all home today. But she couldn't help but want one and as she went up to Isaiah - having spent almost the entire day in the nursery - there was a potted plant in her hand, ready to go with her.
It was a little blue lupin.
"Um, I picked out everything I wanted," she told him shyly, growing a bit nervous that he would see how much it was and get angry about it. He hadn't told her how much, after all, and...and, well, she was a flower spirit. If she could, she would just live here - if she hadn't made Helena the promise to take care of Isaiah.

Today had been a long day. Three missed calls from Helena, two from the nightclub - which was most likely Helena again - and one from the clubs head security guard. Isaiah had ignored them all. He wasn't missing, so what was the point? Helena was fretting over nothing, had made their security guard ring to force him to answer the phone (which he didn't fall for), and kept trying regardless. Phone sitting in his pocket on silent, Isaiah allowed himself a moment to search for the plant spirit's scent. She hadn't gone far, and was quite happy to be around the plants. In fact, he didn't need to follow her scent anymore, he could follow the trail of plants that brightened up as she walked past them. The bright, gaudy flowers were much easier to find than her scent, but now the flower scent had settled, it was easier to track the largest concentration of floral perfume. He wasn't fond of the fact he couldn't find her unique scent even with her cape nearby, but he knew she was safe in this place. What he hadn't expected though, was for her to return earlier than expected. Isaiah had planned for them to still be here when they wanted to close up and he'd have to bribe them to stay open. Seeing the woman make her way back to him with a staff member in tow, he just watched her from where he sat in the shop cafe. The staff woman was holding a notepad and a curious expression; there was either a lot of money about to be spent, or a lot of questions about to be asked.
What stopped the man's thoughts was the blue flower the woman was holding up. A blue lupin.
Staring at the small cone-shaped flower, Isaiah had nearly missed Aiyana saying she was done, and the woman who had been following around Aiyana making notes trying to get his attention. Slowly tearing his light grey eyes away from the blue flowers, he turned his attention to the woman with a calm smile which seemed to surprise her even more. "Darling, send everything this young lady ordered to penthouse suite one, grandeur apartments." At this information, the woman's eyes went wide and an awed "Yes sir." passed her lips. Pulling out his cheque book, Isaiah took a look at the woman's list and the final price. Writing down a number, he handed over the paper with a bigger grin. "This cheque will cover everything as well as the delivery costs. We'll be home all day, make a note to get the front desk to ring me - we don't want those plants to wait in the truck." winking and moving his attention back to Aiyana, it really was quite worrying to realise that her scent was still mixing with the flowers, he missed her personal scent. "Let's head home petal, it's almost dinner time. We'll grab a nice pot for that plant and a stand so we can put it in your room tonight." Standing up with a smile, the man walked through the plant store and found a glazed blue flower pot for the blue lupin, as well as a fancy pedestal to put it on in her room; a concrete replica of a roman column, only much smaller than the originals. Everything would fit in his car, and coaxing the woman back into her cape and into the car, he drove them back home.
Letting the spirit out of his car and heading back upstairs, the wolf felt odd. She had managed to find the only plant who's scientific name was so very similar to his scientific name. Looking at the blue flower in her hands as they stood in the lift, plant pot and column in tow, the man remained silent right up until they had set up the plant in her room, right where she wanted it. Smiling, Isaiah was about to ask his pretty little flower if she required food (they had been inside the nursery all day, unless she also went to the outdoor section) when a slamming door to his apartment and a most furious cry of "ISAIAH!!" rang out. Whimpering a little, shrinking down, the man shook off the surprise and righted himself, looking to Aiyana. "I think I made her mad by not answering the phone today. Better go calm her down, and then I'll make dinner. You can stay up here if you wish." Winking at the girl, Isaiah sauntered out the room with a cheeky grin. "HELENA!" He yelled back in a voice that was much more cheerful than her own. With a Cheshire Cat grin plastered on his face as he descended the stairs, a very frustrated and annoyed sister growled right up in his face before he could even step down off the last stair. "What the ******** are you playing at? Not answering your phone? Leaving me to ******** worry my a** off?? Aristoo, that stupid persian vampire was looking for you to make a business deal and I had to deal with him on my own!" Rolling his eyes, Isaiah was about to speak up when Helena kept ranting on. Frustration grew in Isaiah's stomach when she began to accuse him of being flaky and falling back into old habits, and it wasn't until she said that these habits would rub off onto Aiyana that he snapped.
"Helena, shut it!" Snarling a little, his younger sibling did indeed fall silent, and even lost the colour in her face. Brown hair fell about Isaiah's face as he ran his hands through the medium length locks before speaking again. "I ignored you because I didn't want to force Aiyana to leave the place she was so happy in. I wasn't about to pull the 'Master says, you obey' card when she was so happy. You may have bought her to be my personal assistant, but it doesn't mean I can't show her the kindness she so deserves. Remember back when we had nothing? Remember how we wanted someone to come along and show us what happiness was? I want Aiyana to see that she is capable of having a happy and free life. She is not a slave here. How dare you accuse me of corrupting her." Storming away from his sister, the shorter brunette sighed deeply and felt mighty stupid for letting her anger get the best of her. Heading into the kitchen and finding her brother looking in the fridge, she gently pushed her head into the middle of his back and whined. Sighing himself, Isaiah turned around and gave her a hug. "Anger doesn't become you, Lena. Stick to being caring, it's gets you further. I'll deal with Aristoo tomorrow if you wait here for my delivery. Aiyana bought some plants, so get as many onto the roof as possible so she can have her own personal grotto. Same with the balcony. Try and keep as many out the apartment as you can, unless there are ones she specifically wants in her room." Patting his sisters head, Helena agreed and decided to stay around for dinner. The lycans made themselves a lamb stew, while a garden salad was made for Aiyana, with a small bowl of fruit salad because why not, they thought. Isaiah didn't know if Aiyana had come down yet, but he set out the food on the countertop so she could help herself, while they went and sat at the dining table with a glass of red wine each. They'd inform Aiyana of what was to happen tomorrow over dinner; Helena would be coming over late morning so Isaiah could go take care of some business, and Helena would help Aiyana move all the plants to the rooftop and balcony, with only a few choice plants for her room, ones that would survive inside better than the others.
||o.o.c;; This is getting cute I love it~ Starting to think we could probably jump ahead in time a bit too? ouo ||

x x x x x x x x x While the woman's eyes went wide when he told her to order everything that was on the list - assuming he would change his mind once he saw the price - her heart almost stopped when he wrote out a check to cover delivery as well. Aiyana was staring up at him as well, not expecting that, and a bit worried. She had only been listing everything she had liked and hadn't thought that Isaiah would actually buy it all for her in one go. His nonchalant attitude didn't do much to ease her guilt, but she let him bring her over to the section where they sold pots and stands. Trying to apologize a few times, he simply brushed her off and she gave up, a warm feeling growing inside of her when she realized that he truly didn't care what the price was and had just wanted her to have what she wanted. No one had ever done that for her and there was a small smile as she looked through the pots to find the one she wanted.
"I like this one," she told him, cradling the lupin in her arms as she settled for a round oval pot in a deep indigo hue, a gold zigzag pattern around the middle. Smiling as he picked out the column stand, Aiyana didn't argue with him about this purchase and let him bully her back into the cape. It was cold out and that was the only reason she was able to put up with it, though she didn't let the lupin out of her grip while she got into the car.
Isaiah carried the pot and column both to the elevator, and then up to her room, while the flower spirit held onto her precious lupin. If she could keep this alive, she felt, she could keep Isaiah happy. It was a silly connection to make, she knew that, but it felt right to her. So she settled it into the pot while the man put the stand where she told him, right between the windows to get the best light, and then set the pot down on it herself. There was a bright smile on her face as she looked at it - though that disappeared when she heard his name screamed from the main floor after the door shut. Jumping a bit, Aiyana curled her shoulders and let out a soft noise of her own. As the werewolf reassured her before going to head off his sister, she decided to stay up in her room for now, not wanting to get between the siblings. Especially when it was so startling to hear the gentle female so angry.
Hiding seemed like a good option.
Once the voices died down a bit, Aiyana crept downstairs and was relieved to see them making dinner and apparently getting along. She was hungry and went over to the fruit bowl, picking at it little by little before taking it up and following them over to the table for dinner. It was still odd to sit down with her master and mistress to eat like this and she sat a bit awkwardly, though was clearly hungry as she finished all her food by the time dinner ended. When they told her of the plan, she brightened up considerably and smiled, her enthusiasm clearly showing on her face. The rest of the dinner went well and Helena promised to be by early in the morning before heading to her own place. Aiyana thought about hugging Isaiah goodnight, but settled for just giving him a small smile before taking herself to bed.
That night she didn't have any nightmares at all.
Waking up the next morning before it was even light out, too excited to sleep, she showered and dressed. It was cold out again and she shivered lightly, combing her hair free of tangles and heading to the main area. Looking around, she didn't see Isaiah anywhere and frowned. She even went into his room and found he was gone. Aiyana remembered that he had said he would go to work early, but she hadn't thought he meant this early. Helena had showed her how to use a phone and though she was still nervous about it, she hesitantly dialed the female's number. The voice on the other end was groggy when it picked up. "Um...Helena? It's Aiyana...Isaiah isn't here," she said quietly, sounding nervous on her own.
