Amrita immediately objected to the fire...by letting out a rather distressed noise and shaking her head. Apparently articulating her NOPE wasn't possible in the immediate shock of the idea of setting something on fire. Luckily Shun was there as she voice of reason, but just in case Jericho had any funny ideas she took a couple steps closer to the Reaper.
Loud noises, setting it on fire, dousing it with water...sure, they could all wake something up, but they seemed a little harsh for something that could, apparently, eat them alive very easily. The Vetala went quiet in thought, occasionally staring at Jericho to make sure he wasn't breathing in a fire attack. Yes, she was quite worried he'd take the initiative.
"...Well I think that thing is too big to suggest smelling salts." Amrita hummed thoughtfully, looking at a loss as to how to try and wake up something so large. But as she looked at Jericho one more time, she caught sight of his wings, and pointed at him. "Maybe he could try to get above it to see if there's something we can't see from down here? Or maybe to find another way in?"

It looked like Amrita had a problem with the fire. Right. Undead. Though, Jericho's wings soon sagged a bit as she pointed at him and suggested that he try to scout overhead. Shifting a bit, he rubbed the back of his neck and murmured, "..I... uh... I don't know how to fly.."

As he continued working, West moved closer to the group, nodding at the students he knew if his eyes happened to meet theirs. Eventually, he was even able to hear the conversations around him with greater clarity, especially when the vine-whacking was called off, though eavesdropping hadn't been his original intent by any means. Jericho's voice, in particular, cut through West's indifference. He found himself hanging on the other boil's words, listening for anything of the dragon he had known. The red might have sounded the same, but he was different enough to keep West from trying to strike up any specific conversation. He did have something to add to this one, he supposed. "I can," the demon muttered, not actually calling forth the appendages that would allow him to do so until it was absolutely necessary. "Fly, I mean. Would it really help t'see it from th'sky?" He'd go have a look if Red said to, but he kind of didn't want to otherwise.

There was an awful lot of commotion going on near the gym. So much so that if Hadiyya hadn't been heading that way to begin with, she might have come to investigate anyways, just from curiosity. She'd been checking periodically if the gym and pool were open, and the sight of so many other students, and Red, momentarily got the ghoul's hopes up. Drawing closer, however, she saw otherwise. Folding arms across her stomach, the djinn wandered closer, watching keenly as her fellow students and professor tore at a thicket of vines that were apparently covering something important. As she neared she heard snippets of their conversation, something about fire, though that seemed to be shot down quickly, also water, and flying over head to see what there was to see. "If you think water would help to wake it, I would be happy to provide." She'd come to stop at the fringe of the group, glowing eyes rolled up to take in the massive tangle of creeping vines. "Although I'm not entirely sure it would do any good." One dark hand rose, and she pressed the bend of a knuckle against the fullness of her lips, expression thoughtful. Marushii Did someone say water? =3

He got the fire, the noise, flying overhead, Roch thought, but--"Wait, wait, waittttt, if y'water the plant ain't it just goin' to grow more?" he asked. "It's a really big plant, it'd take a lotta water." And the idea of this giant plant thing getting bigger was a bit bothersome to him.
