Valeria ღ Azami  Valeria smiled softly then took the picture from Maru to get a better view of it. Her smile soon turned into a puzzled look and the same sensation she felt when she was with 'Akuma' had came back. Her eyes widened lightly as she looked at Kazuo in the picture, it was as if she was in pure shock but she didn't want to make it too obvious. "I..is that me...? No! It can't be I would have remembered that..!" She thought to herself then looked over at Maru. Valeria was freaking out on the inside but was able to keep her composure on the outside. In the picture the woman had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she seemed so happy and the resemblance was uncanny. If it wasn't for Valeria's pink hair it would have been a perfect match.
"Maru...do you know anything about this girl in the picture? Have your parents told you anything about her or anything, even a name...?" she said softly trying to watch the way her words came out. She feared it would become shaky and then Maru would figure that something was not right with her. Valeria could not shake the feeling about Akuma and Kazuo, she wanted to be sure if that woman was really her or if that man could have possibly been the demon she faced not too long ago. But she wasn't sure if actually knowing would have been the best thing.

The young girl watched Valeria closely look at the photo. Of course she figured that she was just getting a good look to remember Kazuo, or perhaps she thought he was cute. She let out a small laugh at the thought then answered Valeria's question. "My parents haven't told me much about her. I do know that the reason Kazuo passed away was because he protected her in a car crash.... My mother said he shielded her body on impact so that she wouldn't get hurt. She got out with a few cuts and bruises though. I don't know what happened to her," she said, her voice trailing off sadly.
Maru looked at the girl in the photo and then smiled again. "She is quite pretty though. I know that Kazuo wanted to marry her when they got older. They dated all throughout high school," she said while yawning. Maru crawled back into her bed sleepily. "You'd like Kazuo though. He's a selfless and caring guy," she said as her eyes closed and she dozed off.

Valeria ღ Azami "...I'm sure I would have..." she said quietly then patted Maru softly on the head when she fell asleep. Valeria kept looking at the picture, her confusion seeming to get worse by the second. "I know how I died...kidney failure..but what happened...what happened before all that.."Valeriya closed her eyes and started to think but now she had the man Kazuo on her mind. Normally when she tried to think of past events a lot was blurred out but this time a certain part wasn't.
It was the car crash that killed the man. She saw herself being shielded by him, him dying in her arms and telling her that he loved her before passing on. The memory was short but it was still a memory and one out of many she had with the man. "...O..oh my...forgive me but God...that demon...I have to find him" she said when she opened her eyes and a small tear ran down her cheek. She placed the picture in her outfit before leaving Maru's house. She would bring it back but she needed it for important reasons. She began to search for the male demon she encountered hoping he wasn't far away. She knew this was odd but it had to be done.

Akuma saw Valeria run towards him and he rolled his eyes in utter annoyance. "Oh its you again. What are you stalking me now?" he asked her, the tone in his voice quite sarcastic. Sure he wanted to see her and he was excited but he didn't want to come off to her as weak for wanting to be near an angel.
When she told him to listen to her he raised a brow, crossed his arms and waited for her. Whatever she had to say seemed to be serious, and she looked rather worried too. "Look, I don't have lots of time. I'm headed to that house," Akuma said while pointing with his chin towards the direction it was in. He tied his long red hair into a loose bun; god it was getting heavy from all the rain.
"I feel like I should cut it off," he muttered in annoyance as he rung out some of it before retying it. He then looked at Valeria and noticed a photograph in her hands.

Valeria ღ Azami Valeria just rolled her eyes at his complaining. She really didn't want to hear it but she saw it coming. She was wondering why he even wanted to venture in that house, it just made her assume even more that it was a memory of his and even if it wasn't he did seem drawn to it. "This is still so confusing to me...the child I watch over talked to me..she wanted me to do something for her and she gave me this picture to help...I just think you need to see it too.."
Valeria gave the picture to Akuma and waited for his reaction. They were standing in the rain and if they were still human they would have gotten sick by now but it still wasn't pleasurable getting drenched. "His name is...well nevermind.." she said softly. Thinking if this was him the picture could possibly spark something in his memory and if not then maybe he wasn't the guy. Maybe it was just one huge coincidence and she made a mistake. Deep down she didn't want it to be a mistake she wanted it to be true but she wouldn't admit it...at least not now.

When Valeria handed him the photo it took him a moment to recognize any familiarity to it. Of course the young man in the photo was a striking image of himself but his mind didn't seem to process it that well. It was as if something was blocking it, almost like a wall.
"How come he looks like me...?" he asked, his thoughts now starting to tear at the wall in his mind. He saw the young girl he was holding in the photo and his stomach dropped. No wonder he heard the cries of a baby back in the underworld. Perhaps this was a sign of his old life, and thankfully Valeria had shown it to him.
Akuma scratched the back of his head aimlessly and then turned to the angel. "I have to talk to this child," he said in a panic while beginning to walk to the house. He didn't care if it was 3 am or anything; he wanted answers.

Valeria ღ Azami "And the girl is...looks like me" she said trying to cover up her mistake. She didn't want to tell him, she wanted him to see it on his own but she wondered if that would even happen. Maybe she would have to end up telling him what Maru told her. When he spoke of seeing the girl Valeria quickly got in front of him to stop him. "It's three in the morning! Besides it wouldn't be right for you to see her, especially when you don't understand anything...she wants her brother..the guy in the picture is her brother.." Valeria knew that if he confronted the girl now all he would do was scare her or even hurt her feelings since he had no clue who she even was. He didn't remember anything and she wasn't too sure if he wanted to.
"But I need to know this...and don't you dare lie to me..when we are around each other do you feel as if you feel something you shouldn't?" she just had to make sure that she wasn't the only one. An angel having feelings for a demon or vice versa? It was unheard of and surely forbidden in both worlds. Neither side would stand for such a thing and possibly even see it as an insult to ones kind. She didn't want to think so far ahead but she knew something wasn't right and it was something they needed to get to the bottom of. It was already odd enough that they were around each other without fighting but discussing their past lives was definitely something they shouldn't do with each other.

Although Akuma didn't really want to admit it he looked at Valeria and gave a small nod. "Yeah..." he answered her while looking at the photograph with shaking hands. Was that him in his past life? If so, he wanted to find some answers and he was anxious to find out. However, the hour was late and he knew he would cause a scene if he just appeared to the young girl. So maybe the young girl was his little sister...
"If that is me in this photo...then why are you with me? Did I know you in my human life?" he asked questioningly. Sure Valeria was his sworn enemy, but if he knew her in his past life he wanted to find out. He was strayed so far away from his humanity that he was now given a chance to find out what happened. And if an angel was willing to help then he wouldn't mind taking the opportunity, even though he was hesitant about it.

Valeria ღ Azami Naturally she didn't expect the demon to answer her so when he admitted it to her she was far more than surprised. Maybe he truly wanted to know more of his pas life and after all of this she was eager to find out more about hers as well. She looked over at the demon and studied his features for a moment seeing if she could match this face with the one in the picture. The man looked so happy and full of life. His sister said that he was a caring and selfless man and Valeria could only take her word for it, she thought it was obvious just by looking at the picture and how much his family loved him...so what happened? If this was the man in the picture then how did he end up going to hell for sacrificing his own life to protect who he loved..something didn't seem right about that.
"I only know what the girl told me...in the picture the man and woman were...a couple. She told me he planned on marrying her when they had gotten older.." she said softly as she looked away from him. She didn't know how he would react to such a discovery and he would probably deny it by all means. If she was lucky he would probably get a memory back but he was a demon so it would either be more difficult or take more time. But since he was willing that could change."If we are going to try and learn more about our lives then you might as well know my name...its Valeria..and yours is?"

Akuma didn't seem too ecstatic about finding out about how the people pictured in the photograph were a couple. Sure he found Valeria to be an attractive angel, but he never really found them appealing...probably because he was a demon. When she mentioned her name he felt his heart beat faster, but he assumed it was just from the anxiety from finding out. Yet, the name did sound rather familiar but he couldn't point it out.
"Valeria...hmm..." he said aloud while examining her up and down. He was sure if someone like her was in his past life then he would remember her. When she asked him his name he stopped. What was his name? For as long as he could remember he went by 'Akuma' yet he felt like it was much more of an identity than his name.
"My name is Akuma..." he stammered, giving a nervous cough. Usually demons never tried to give away their names, and usually went by titles. God...it had been forever since someone said his name aside from his fiancee and Lucifer. He tried racking his brain for some memories but it felt as if a wall was put up to block them. "Maybe I should cut my hair," Akuma mused as he crossed his arms and thought about it. Maybe if he did something like that then perhaps it would trigger some sort of memory...if by chance that young man in the photo was him.

Valeria ღ Azami "Akuma...? Hm.." she said thinking that the name sure didn't spark anything in her mind. She was starting to wonder if it was possibly the wrong person but she highly doubted that for some reason. She knew this whole experience was very uncomfortable for the both of them but since they seemed to be connected to eachother it was only right to explore deeper into this. Their lives as humans were important, it was a piece of them even in the after life so knowing about it only felt right.
Although this was still considered wrong by rules she felt like she had no choice. Knowing more was what she truly wanted. "Cutting it is your decision. It could help but I'm not sure. You don't really seem to enjoy having it that long anyway" she said with crossed arms as she looked over at the house he was going to go in."Well...what do you suppose we do now? We won't get anywhere just standing here staring at eachother. If we want answers we're going to have to start looking for them" Valeria was considering going to see Maru again but she didn't think that would have been her best option. Unlike Akuma, Valeria still had vivid memories of her human life. Like where she went to school and worked, maybe if her and Akuma were truly the people in the picture then going back to those places could help with memories.

He frowned at the thought of cutting his hair, but perhaps it would help as a trigger for any past memories. Surely he hadn't had long hair before...? He paced around in the rain while thinking of how to go about this predicament then stopped when Valeria asked what to do.
"Why don't you just leave it to me? I'm sure I can fend for myself without you," he said, a smug and annoyed look on his face. He didn't mind Valeria's presence but he did worry that she wouldn't like his past. Sure Akuma was scared to find out about his human life too, but he wanted to be the first one to find out whether or not it was a good or bad one. "Bleh nevermind. Since you remember some memories of your human life how about you look for people who were a part of it. You know, like friends or family in Heaven. I can look in the Underworld," he told her, scratching his head.

Valeria ღ Azami Valeria rolled her eyes at his comment. She should of known better than to agree to anything with a hot-headed demon but she had no choice at this point."Don't get it twisted it's not like I'm trying to be your best friend or anything" she said with a glare before turning away from him and twisting her hair to get the water out. The last thing she wanted to deal with was his attitude and she figured she could easily figure out things on her own but asking around heaven didn't seem to strike her as a good idea and it could have ended badly in her favor but she didn't know for sure and didn't want to risk anything.
"So you seriously want me to ask around in heaven. I've met most of the angels already and I can guarantee you that none are in my family and even if they were it is so far in the past they don't even know who I am. And you asking around in hell? Aren't you just begging to get a word from Lucifer if he hears about that?" she said with crossed arms before glancing at him. Even though she was an angel it was common for most to know a few things about hell. Especially since their enemies stayed there so they had to be at least slightly educated in the are.
