Even though he had the upper hand at the moment Andrew knew well that having more cards also meant having more lower cards. It wasn't the size of the deck that won, it was luck and high cards. One well place war could turn the game around. Still he played out till the very end.

It was getting down to the wire with each flipping card. As much as she was gaining cards, Olivia still felt her deck starting to widdle down. It at least didn't 'cause the mirth on her face to vanish, in fact she might have even giggled at one point. The oto's ears perked at the sound, yet she didn't move from her spot against the ghoul's leg.
Down to one card, Olivia flipped it onto the grass. "Oh, looks like you won," she smiled to Andrew. "Congratulations, you're good at this." Not realizing it was more about chance and luck, but that was okay. More to her it was spending time with someone.

“Yeah, looks like I did.” he smiled at her. “Do you want play another game? Or we can just hang out here.” He glanced at the lake. It was getting later, and did he see something lurking inside of it. He didn’t mind water just sitting there, but if something reached out and pulled him in, that was another matter all together. And this far out the only real light they had was behind him. His smile dropped as he looked at it staring. Maybe he was just being a little paranoid, but instinct was telling him to get away.

Olivia could have probably gone either way with the suggestions, playing a game would have been just as nice as just sitting around staring at the lake (she didn't notice if anything was lurking). Late was all rather relative to her, given how little - if at all - she slept, the only problem that came with the setting pumpkin sun was the inability to see properly.
The ghoul gave Andrew a curious look as his smile dropped along with his line if sight. It was then she realized where he probably had his attention and it dawned on her that his tail would probably become very visible as the day pressed on. Well, at least they would be able to see, if she just.. maybe pretended it was something else? Maybe? Her brows pushed together, "I don't mind hanging out a bit... unless you'd like to get going?"
They had spent a considerable amount of time together just playing cards, and Olivia felt that was an achievement in itself really. (Probably helped that he was hiding his tail very well from her, making it harder for her to let it slip her mind exactly what he was).

“I don’t know…” he didn’t really have anything better to do. (Except homework, ha!) But he had this lurking feeling of something being under the lake. “It’s later than I thought it was… Maybe it would be best to go back indoors. I… I have a bad feeling.” He had it before but now, now it was a bit stronger, or rather, now he couldn’t see well enough to know he was safe. Being from firelands, it was rare that anywhere we went didn’t have some kind of lighting, and now he couldn’t use his personal light to its full potential.

A bad feeling? Olivia cocked her head lightly to the side, unsure of what he could possibly referring to since she wasn't getting any weird vibes from anywhere. Unless it was something he ate, since those also caused bad feelings. Besides just bad feelings. "Alright," she simply agreed. The boil was suggesting something and she was always willing to follow along, even though in this case it wouldn't be much following given that tail.
It was as much of a prompt as anything and Olivia pushed herself from the grass and dusted herself lightly off out of habit - not like she cared either way what was stuck to her. The blue mini beside her followed suit, sparing a glance at the flame demon before she circled behind Olivia and brushed up against her other leg. "Any place in mind?" She asked him.

Shoving his cards into his pocket again, Andrew followed her to his feet. He thought about where, and decided the possibility of him ever entering the undead dorms was completely out. “Well you could…” he paused. Undead were the lowest on the totem pole, something he had nearly forgotten. Other demons would probably not be pleased with him bringing an undead into a lounge and he defiantly couldn’t take her in his room, it had too many fire things in it for her to ever be comfortable. “Huh… I guess most places are closed now.” This was a problem. It looked like there weren’t many options to hang out together after dark. Not that he really minded outside and dark, but in the night there was no way for her to be comfortable. He shifted and tried to stretch without letting her see his fire directly.

Places with fire probably wouldn't be the most ideal place for her to go, Olivia would have been thankful for how considerate Andrew was being. But for now, they were still standing with the growing night and Olivia noticed the soft glow that was beginning to brighten from behind Andrew. She tried not to think about it. And more so, still not look down. The wight put on her best face.
"Are they?" It wasn't something she had noticed before, probably since in the night time hours if she ever wandered she would end up simply at those locations without a time restriction; like the library or a lounge or something. Usually she was in her room. "Perhaps we should call it a night then?"
It was hard for her to suggest, she liked the company and wanted to try hard to spend more time with friends. But they didn't seem to have many options, and she did have some clean up to finish (and to make sure Gnaw didn't keel over from eating everything).

“Yeah…. We’ll hang out again another day.” He could feel her getting more nervous whither she voiced it or not. “I’m glad you are ok. I’ll walk you over to your dorm and then head home.” If she would let him. He gave another glance around and then relaxed a little starting to head away from the lake. Giant death trap.

And he agreed to it, but at least he was offering to keep her company on the walk back to her dorm. It was a long one anyways. Hopefully the other undead in the vicinity wouldn't mind his presence. "Alright," she nodded. Of course she wouldn't object to such an offer.
"Thank you for checking up on me." Maybe she should have extended to concern to others as well, but she had been so caught up with cleaning. But it was nice to see Andrew had fared okay and not just over a phone. Molan she had already seen, along with Amarus. Efflo and a few of the others were a mystery, but if the flame demon was okay then the others probably were too. Always an optimist.
Wait, should she go? Should she lead? They were heading to her room. Maybe she should. Olivia started to leave. At least this way she was lagging behind to see... the flame.

He let her take the lead, in fact he waited for her. If she were a friend from back home, he would have taken the lead and maybe made her run a little to catch up. Sometimes he would even fly just to annoy his ground bound friends, but for her he was forced to have patients with. If he didn’t… why was he so attached to this ghoul anyway. He once again questioned himself. He could have other friends yet he continued to choose her, all because of a half forgotten dream. He sighed to himself and walked just half a step behind her, tail held to the opposite side so it would shed some light before them.
