"I am glad you returned. I have enjoyed listening to your stories." She replied and it was the truth. She had never had someone tell her as much as he had. She really did enjoy hearing his tales. "I don't know. I don't think so. Maybe they will get better." She gave a hopeful smile. "I can speak and breathe but everything feels stiff.

Cyrus smirked a little and looked down at his large hands in his lap. "I should not have told you all of them though," he said quietly. "Do you know how you came to be forgotten? It seemed to me that you were unforgettable back when Albion was in its glory days."

"Ah, but not for the right reasons. Everybody loves you when they're up. There's no one left to remember Cyrus, we're all that is left." She breathed in again and shifted in her seat. "Many died, the girls, they're all gone. Plague hit us bad. Then war and starvation. I watched them, nursed them. Then there was the quake, a great shaking quake somewhere then my key was lost. I have snippets of memory I think I may have heard people but I do not know."

Cyrus listened to her story and frowned a little. Someone had stolen her heart, not knowing what it was or how important it was. "I am sorry that you had to live through that and then this trapped life you lived for so long. I am glad I decided to return," he smiled softly. "Before you ran down, was there any sign of my lord? Can you remember?"

Elora shook her head. "No, no sign. He is still gone." She sighed, thinking of what the city must look like now compared to what it had been. "I am not sure where we go from here but ... I am in your debt, for helping me, for showing me respect."

Cyrus smirked lightly and looked to the tools of his labors. "I am quite certain I am in your debt as well," he said quietly. Breathing in deeply, he let it out slowly and looked back to her. "I think we should discuss moving on. I am certain we could find you somewhere comfortable to set yourself up in again."

"But this is the only place I have called home." She said softly. "I am not sure I would want to go somewhere else. and I am not in much of a state for business." She felt entirely lost now there were possibilities. "Have you heard of the gods on your travels. Were they all lost?"

Cyrus smiled lightly and looked around at the crumbling room they were in. It was the nicest one he could find. The others, along with the rest of the city, were in a very bad state. "Well, it is not a decision that must be made right away. We have time." That was something they had in spades. "I very much doubt that the two of us could rebuild this city though," he smirked a little and folded his large arms over his chest.
"I have heard some rumors of rebirth, but I am not certain of how true they are. I have seen nothing with my own eyes in all of my travels. Still... there must be a reason for the whisperings."

She smiled a little at that thought. "No, maybe we can make this place a bit more like home." If they were going to be stuck there it would make sense to do so. "We can hope they are true, If lord Industry is reborn then he will return here, I know he will. Perhaps he will be able to help me heal fully."

Cyrus considered her words carefully for several moments. Perhaps that was what had drawn him back to Albion, he thought. The underlying knowledge that this was where his lord would go should he return.
"Perhaps," he agreed with a small nod. "In the meantime, you are right. We shall make this more of a home. You can tell me what it is you wish and I will make it so," he smiled a bit and feeling much more whole than he had in a long while.

Elora smiled a little and felt frustrated that she could not do anything to help him. The Rose Garden had been her pride and joy. She had worked hard to turn it from the seedy hole it had once been to a classy, up market establishment. Sure, the trade was still the same but her girls were their own people, they rented rooms from her and worked freelance in a way. She kept them safe, kept the police away and made sure they were treated with as much respect as possible.
She looked around. "We'll need to take care of the windows and make sure no rain can come in. Perhaps we can make sections, sleeping quarters, cooking, living. If you like? I'm afraid I won't be much help. I do not think I can stand. I may be able to sew though, cook. I can cook."

Cyrus looked to the windows, then glanced around. Nodding a bit, he looked back at her apology and smiled a little. "I think this is a good idea. You would not be able to do much to help at first anyways. Not with all of this debris that needs clearing. Just having someone to talk to is more than enough for me," he declared. "I will find you some cloth and you can make the coverings for the windows while I clean up."

Elora stared across the room for a moment, a moth eaten and dog eared book on her lap. Cyrus had wandered off to get some things and so she was alone.
She really didn't like being alone. Funny as many of her early memories she'd been alone. In the circus then when she had been bought from there. Though she had build up those around her. Friends, employees, so that she did not have to be alone anymore. Sighing heavily she looked back down at the pages of her book.

Aisha crept through the desolate streets, her violet eyes peeled for danger and anything that might look of value. She had to find something good today. Maksym's temper was wearing thin and she really wanted to eat that evening. That was his favourite punishment, to starve her. She knew she could survive it, but she hated the clawing of her stomach when he let it go for days and days because she hadn't found him anything special.
Stopping in front of a building that was in better shape than the ones around it, she could almost see the beauty that had once stood before her. "Look here Maks," she called over her shoulder, pointing to the door that was now as it should be in its frame. "It looks like some fancy house or somethin'," she said as she looked it over again.
Maksym turned from the rubble he had been searching through and looked to the building the worthless waif he was stuck with had found. Looking it over, his cold eyes turned hungry. "Well? Get your skinny a** in there and start looking," he declared as if that should have been obvious.

Elora heard the voices outside, she could not make out what they were saying but she could hear them well enough. It wasn't Cyrus, she would recognise the deep tone of his voice.
She glanced around herself and breathed in, a rattly breath. Was there something she could use as a weapon? Not really, she couldn't hit out at them, she couldn't run from them. She was useless really.
