(This is being back dated)

It was raining again, had it really even stopped this month? October, and fall for that matter, meant rain it was a normal thing. However, this amount of rain was not normal - it was too much. There was flooding on certain streets and parking lots, areas where the streets dipped too much, and pictures had been posted online of some of the flooding. It was, in some way, amusing and yet it was also troubling as this wasn’t normal. Flooding happened, it always did with a good rain, but the amount of rain and thus the amount of places flooding was not.

Sitting at his computer the blue glow from the keyboard, and other various parts of his computer, lighting up his face as he typed away. He was looking over more pictures of what had been happening in the city. A bowl of hot soup settled on his desk as he sat on the floor, blankets and pillows about him, Ian was doing his best to keep warm and comfortable.

Scrolling down the website, looking over more pictures, he was taking another mouthful of soup when he spotted a picture of one of the city's many parks. It was absolutely flooded but that wasn’t it. There wasn't just a picture and some little caption with it, like every other post, no. There was mention of lights flashing and some...monster? What added to it was that there were response posts made that mentioned the same things and being chased as well.

“That doesn’t sound good….” Speaking into the darkness of his room he took another mouthful of soup before as he read over the responses. It sounded bad but not like a youma, people had it sounding like some sort of big foot. Someone else called the lights what he was thinking - will’o’the wisp. But they weren’t real, or well at least not here on Earth - he was sure of it. Magic might be real, he couldn’t deny that, but this was something entirely different...right?

“I really should go check it out...shouldn’t I?” Asking no one, and yet voicing it as a question, the dark haired male sighed. If he went on his own he could try and figure this out, as he knew if he told anyone in this house they’d either try and stop him...or they’d join him and who knows then. The problem was that if he went on his own and they found out...he also might get his a** kicked, or at least get scolded. He was an eternal but this sounded like something beyond a one person thing...plus a certain blond in the house thought he needed a dog leash and collar. If he wandered off to check this out and she found out...well she’d no doubt have words for him, she might even buy a collar and leash.

It was once his food was done, and Ian was up in the kitchen putting the bowl and spoon into the dishwasher, that he decided he’d go and check the park out and risk whatever might happen when the Jacob’s found out he had gone on his own; he knew they’d find out somehow.

With the dishwasher set, as there had been other dishes inside waiting to be washed, Ian headed back down to the basement where his bedroom was. The lights were off save for the blue lights filling part of his room, his computer sat on a low table against the wall across from the door, so most of his room was cast in darkness and details and small things were hard to see. This was the norm for his room though, and was why he kept his room clean, so he had no problem making his way to his closet and turning on the small light in the closet Ian was able to find a hoodie easily and pulling it on over his head, as it had no zipper, he headed out of his room. His computer would go into sleep mode soon - it was all good. He had something better to do right now, and a quick note that he had gone out to write.

The note he left on the kitchen countertop didn’t say where he was going but it did say he was out - and powered up. It was done out of politeness, incase anyone needed him for some reason.

The trip to the park was rather uneventful, perhaps foretelling of whatever was to come when he got to the flooded park? Whatever the reason the eternal senshi felt nothing, no dark or light auras, on his way. It was unusual to go out and feel nothing, it was almost eerie, but he didn’t let it bother him...or at least he tried not to. The truth was it left a bad feeling in his stomach, by the time he got to the park he was toying with his lip piercings.

Stepping into the park he moved to the trees so he could avoid stepping into deep water pool created by all the rain, and the s**t drainage the park had. Hopefully after this the city would look into better drainage for the park, not that they were likely to ever face such amounts of rain again.

Jumping from tree to tree the light dressed eternal had to unhook little twigs from his wings, and the piercings dangling from them, more than once but he did get deep into the park where he stopped and watched. He could see it...it was real. There were lights flickering in and out. Why they were there he had no idea but it was similar, at least he thought so, to his own magic. It made no sense, and he hoped no one thought he had anything to do with it, but he did have to wonder what was going on.

Kneeling there up in a tree, using the main body of the tree for support, he was shaking a bit with built up nerves as he watched the lights until some movement caught his attention. With no idea how long he’d been watching the lights, unknown to him it had been awhile, and it did look like some monster...or bigfoot. But again - this wasn’t possible...right?

Almost falling from the tree when it seemed to turn towards him, as if it knew he was there, the eternal senshi clung to the thick branch, arms and legs wrapped about it and body pressed to the bark. There was no way it could have known he was there - he was being careful! Chaldene knew his uniform stood out, how could he not? But he had been keeping hidden as the tree he was in was full of leaf heavy branches which would hide him well. To be seen was impossible, or so he’d thought. Obviously he’d been foolish in thinking as much.

This was obviously something not natural and normal...so thinking he was safe...was a stupid thing for him to do. “Need to tell the others at home…” Once he got home. Even if it meant giving up what he’d done, coming here on his own despite what was being said about the park, it was a good idea to let them know. Something was going on here, that he was certain of, and he didn’t like it. The thing he disliked the most, and not because it scared him, were the lights. They were just like his own magic - they could be called will’o’the wisp he was sure. The beast thing, which was still staring towards him, scared him but he didn’t dislike it...he was just scared of it. He didn’t know what it was, it wasn’t a youma or a warith, which meant he knew nothing about it and it had been said to have chased people. A dangerous unknown bothered him - a lot.

Standing up, slowly, on the branch he turned after looking at the creature and took off for home. He would be back, he knew he would, whether it was alone or not he didn’t know. But he would be back, he wanted to figure this out.
