Aulii thought it would be pretty strange to wander around the isle always wondering if someone might be a relative. "Oh..." Aulii nodded his head in understanding. "So like a pet?" Aulii felt slightly relieved, which was strange to him, there was nothing wrong with being friends with a female who had a mate. "So a bird that doesn't fly... and eats fish... sounds like she would need to be able to swim. Can't say I've ever seen a swimming bird. Even with all my time in the water."

"Pretty much." She smiled, recalling the strange little bird. "She does swim when she's out with me fishing." The demon nodded, stretching her wings out behind her a little. She'd felt off balance on the beach, the wings kept her from falling over at least. Maybe they weren't as big as his, but they were still cute.
"Mostly, Akira just waddles around after me though. She hates leaving me alone unless I tell her to stay at the tree."

"Well, its good that you have a companion like that, she must be going nuts right now, with you being here." He thought out loud. He couldn't help but think how weird the idea of a swimming bird was, but he wasn't too different, he was an angel who preferred to be in the water more than the air.
"Woah!" Aulii exclaimed as Starry stretched her wings and the shimmer of her piercings caught his attention. "Are those... what is that?" Aulii asked her inquisitively. He couldn't tell if it was part of her wings or something else entirely.

She smiled, shaking her head. "Akira understands I just want to be left alone sometimes." In fact, she was quite grateful for it right now. She couldn't figure out exactly why either.
"What is what?" She blinked, looking at him, then following his gaze. Oh, her wings. The elder female giggled, extending her wing a bit closer to him. "I got them pierced when I was much younger. It was cool back then." She smirked, remembering back then. So long ago... Why was this male making her remember so much of the past? Hadn't she been wanting to forget and move forward? But.. He made her smile so much.

Aulii had paused a moment to think, she had left the bird to have some alone time, but now he was interrupting her alone time by talking to her. "I hope I'm not being a bother then, asking so many questions, but you're an interesting girl."
Aulii smiled and laughed at her words about doing the cool thing. "Sounds like it might have hurt."Were you really interested in learning how to surf? Its okay if you're not, its not for everyone." Aulii added, giving her the chance to get out of it, even if it was for the sake that he was a bother. He really would want to teach her if she was interested though.

She blushed, smiling. He was a sweet kid. "You're not a bother at all Aulii." Starry couldn't help but smile. He made her feel so young and excited to be around.
"Eh, only for a day or two." She shrugged, remembering exactly how much they'd hurt. It took her forever to learn how to fly again after that. She still didn't fly as well as the rest of the pae around here.
"Yeah, I'd really like to learn to surf. It sounds like fun." And it would get her out of the house for a while. A good long while. It was a happy thought. One she would cherish. It'd been so long since someone had wanted to teach her anything, or get her out of the house...

Aulii was relieved that he hadn't been bothering Starry with too many questions. He thought he had noticed her blushing, and couldn't quite understand why, but he might not have really seen it. It was getting kind of dark.
He grinned at the idea of her wanting to learn to surf, if he taught her it would be a good excuse to see her again. "Oh great, you will love it!" Aulii exclaimed as he sat straight up. "Do you want to meet me at the beach on the other side of this forest sometime?" He pointed west towards the beaches of the open water, where they would have some waves to play on. Surfing seemed like a healthy activity to him, although his life did completely revolve around it. "I'll give you some lessons." Aulii smiled hopefully.

Starry grinned. "If it's with you, I'm sure I will." She couldn't help but flirt now. He'd all but asked her on a date. Or at least, that's how it felt. Even better, she'd get to learn how to surf. It would be a really neat chance to learn something new.
"I can't wait. When do you want to meet up out there?"
