Jerarda wasn't entirely sure, the time she had seen the creatures hunt they normally caught their prey, they didn't seem the type that would stalk its prey for long periods of time....though she didn't want to be wrong on this matter as well. Looking over to Vollerei she gave a small laugh, true enough it seems all the creatures were out to play today, normally it wasn't quite this exciting.
"I suppose I just have animal magnetism." Came her comment back to the girl as she tightened her grip on the spear and then stood up, walking along the branch was ease as was known to her kind she estimated the distance to where the other girl was. It wasn't too far and with a small tense she lept to the other tree with ease, although nearly dropping her spear in the process.
Sighing she moved closer to the girl and looking back to the bug. It was still at the tree she had been in, and she could see the distinct tunnels of its friends circling around as if trying to find them.
"I think its best we move on, hopefully we won't make more friends along the way."

Vollerei watched Jerarda as she came to her tree. So even this older woman had difficulties handling a weapon while jumping, she thought. At least Vollerei wasn't the only one who did then.... She nodded at Jerarda's words. "Hmm, probably right. I got the fish so we can head somewhere and eat." She smiled; food time! Hunting was fun, and so was meeting new people, but eating was still the best.
She stood up, grabbed the bag of fish and began jumping from tree to tree, climbing up and down to get at strong branches to hold her weight.
"So where should we head next? I've got some spices hidden at the place where I've been sleeping, we could go there if you want to. Fish tastes best with flavoring on it!" She called back to Jerarda as she paused for a moment, hanging upside down to look back at Jerarda before flipping to a different branch.

Jerarda didn't have the passion or flare for cooking it seemed as Vollerei did, in fact at the mention of spices it took her a moment to think of just what those were. Following the young woman she occasionally looked behind themselves to make sure they weren't being followed. Apparently the beasts were not as smart as one would be lead to believe.
"Sure it sounds like you have a pretty good set up if you haven't been found by any of the beasts here." It was a sound plan go to this girls place and eat some of the food that they had managed to catch before things had gone down hill.
"How long have you been in Jahaur? " Jerarda asked following close behind the woman although a lot less aware or concerned about her weight on branches.

"Only thing I run into around my spot are butterflies." Vollerei shrugged, perhaps the sheer height at which she'd placed it had something to do with that...
She lead Jerarda back along the path they'd come, and then she lead them further up and into the Jungle, heading back towards the shore.
"I've been here only a few months. Got washed out to sea a few months back and ended up here. Been wondering how to head home or at least let my family know I'm okay." She told Jerarda as she clambered up a large tree with enormous leaves. Her sleeping place was in this tree; made up of half tree and half leaves. She'd taken the long and thick leaves and twisted them about to make a small dome to protect her from rain and hide her from view with out having to tear the leaves off. That way the leaves didn't die and shrivel up so she didn't have to replace them.. The rest of her home was in the small indent at the intersection of a branch and the truck. She'd cleared out the debris and had grabbed many of the recognizable plants from the forest floor to make herself a small bed and cover the wood to soften it. Primitive but safe.
"Here we are!" Vollerei told Jerarda and unraveled her 'front door' to let them in. The leaves kept out the bugs and rain, but still let in small rays of light which illuminated her home. The only 'furniture' here was the pile of springy shrubbery covered by larger leaves to make her bed, the thin slates of rocks balanced together to make a primitive shelf, and the strange convex rock Vollerei had found a while back. Bowl-shaped but thick, it made up her fire pit. A dangerous thing to have in the tree tops, but safer with this odd bowl she'd found to hold the flames to cook her meals.
She went directly to her tiny stone shelf and grabbed the pouch that held her spices. Or at least, the one spice she knew and loved; bright red, it put a nice heat into any dish! Turning to the odd stone bowl, Vollerei checked it to make sure there was enough charcoal and ash from her last fire before taking out two odd black rocks she'd found years ago. She began to strike them together to create sparks to light the fire.

The structure was rather impressive, and considering from what she had been told Vollerei hadn't been here all that long. Though she wondered about the tale of being washed out to sea, although there had been some storms in the area lately. Trying not to marvel at the little set up she had going Jerarda noted how well made it was, Vollerei was a sister who was well prepared. It caused her to wonder why she had never thought of setting up a more permanent shelter, always on the move, sleeping in the trees with Rishima and rarely on the ground when they had moved outside of the forest.
While marveling at the things around her she turned her head when she heard the sound of stones striking, making a note of how she was doing it as well the strange little spice bottle she had pulled from a make shift shelf. Moving over she leaned her spear against something that didn't look like it would break...and then squatted down to inspect the spice bottle.
"You mind?" She inquired as she took the bottle and lifted it to her nose. Taking a curious sniff that led to her nostrils feeling like they were burning. A sneeze and she then laughed. "I see you like it hot!" She chuckled as she returned the spice to its original spot. "You've got a nice set up here, if you want I will be heading back to the islands I can let them know you are safe." It was the least she could do since she would be heading back that way anyway.

Vollerei laughed at Jerarda when she sniffed Volle's spice pot. "I like my fish spiced up alot cause it's normal flavor is a bit bland." She sat down, rubbed some of the hot spice into the fish and then wrapped it in leaves before putting it into the fire to cook. She looked up and smiled at Jerarda at her offer, "Would you? That would be perfect! My family would get assurance that I'm still alive and I won't have to deal with any lectures or crying!" She chuckled to herself. "Plus I can stay here and go meet other races and see what types of food they have... " She smiled to her self, staying away from home for a bit longer would be nice... especially since she was positive her mothers were going to cry all over her then proceed with lectures on always letting someone know when you went hunting, proper safety and all that boring stuff. Much better to let another tell them she was alive and have them cool down a bit before heading home.. "I live just outside the main settlement on the southern island. Just ask for Sube or Säure, those are my mothers, and I have a sister called Denker. You should be able to find any of them pretty easily if you ask around enough.

Jerarda found this information interesting, that she found food bland probably meant she ate either unripe fruit or a lot of white fish...that or she's tried so many types of foods that perhaps everything tastes the same? Refocusing her attention on her sister she nodded her head to confirm that she would indeed inform her sisters about being safe.
Though none of the names were familiar she tried to commit them to memory it would be good to make sure that the proper people were informed after all.
"You have many that are close to you." She commented for she herself only had the elders who really dealt with her and her best friend Phenyo who put up with her and her...younger more bull headed days. Squatting down she finally relaxed and sat joining Vollerei in her home.
"It seems like you will adapt will to the forest, just do be careful...though most things are edible I wouldn't suggest hunting all of them by yourself. When I come back I would like to meet up with you again and finding you dead would...not be ideal."

Vollerei smiled at Jerarda as she flipped the fish over to get it completely cooked. "I'm really only close with my family and one or two others. The rest seem to view me and my appetite with disgust or annoyance. As if I was somehow pretending to be hungry all at the time for the sake of attention! Sheesh. I can't control when my stomach gets hungry, so I just feed it whenever to keep it happy." Vollerei smirked to herself, she did find it funny to watch people's faces when she out ate everyone, but that was only part of why she ate all the time. Her stomach apparently was born with a hole in it. That was the only way she could think of why it was hungry all the time. Vollerei was filled with happiness when she heard Jerarda comment that she wanted to see Vollerei again. Not too many had said that too her, and it was a nice feeling to be told that someone cared enough to want to met up again. "I'd really like to meet up again, but don't know if I want to stay here for much longer. Now that you've taken the burden of telling my family that I'm okay, I'm thinking I might want to go out and explore the world more; though I'll definitely be careful when hunting and make sure not too go after things that are too large or dangerous." Pity about that, but she knew that unarmed as she was that would be safest. Once she got a weapon and learned how to use it then she'd go after the larger and usually tastier creatures.

Though Jerarda had wondered about the girls appetite she hadn't judged her because of it, she had fire and a determination that lacked in many other sisters she had known her life, although perhaps she could add the foolishness as well though she supposed ...she was a lot like her when she was younger. Minus being the hungry part and obsessed with food. Instead she had just been violent and had a rather 'in your face' attitude. No sense of personal space... okay so Vollerei was a much better person that she had been when she was younger.
Giving the girl a nod at her comment about traveling she could understand why, after all she had gone and done the same thing. Though she'd never want to return to Zena...damn cold place. "That is good, and I do hope to come across you again in the future. Though if you plan on traveling...make sure you bring clothes. It is warm and temperate here...but if you travel to Sauti or Zena it gets damn cold." The memory of the place only sent shivers down her spine. That place had been terrible, a cold that seeped into your bones and never seemed to leave. Even coming back home during the night sometimes she could feel that chill seep back into her body and she would fear she would never get warm again.

Vollerei pulled the fish out of the fire and quickly transferred it to a new leaf before handing the steaming spiced fish to Jerarda.
"Cold? Hmmm, maybe I'll bring something to trade for clothes once I get there. Would be lighter to carry."
She then pulled her own fish out and began tearing off small bits of steaming fish to munch on.
As she ate she asked Jerarda about the world out there and what dangers she needed to be aware of. It was best to be forewarned, even if it did take out some of the fun in exploring.

Taking the fish Jerarda paused a moment to settle herself down before she took a bite into it. A sharp intake of breath and she was laughing slightly, it was not only hot but spicy.
"With food like this you wouldn't need blankets or warm clothes." She commented after a moment and taking a much smaller bite the second time around. In between bites she go on to explain her knowledge of the places she had been to. How they had traveled first through Tale and grouped together with the shifters and the leaf tribe, leading to their travels through Sauti a rocky place that seemed to build up to a gigantic mountain. How they had met the people of the wind there before traveling into the mountain and fighting off a slumbering dragon. Although it hadn't been her who had dealt the devastating blow she tried to warn that people were not always what they seemed as it had been a timid magic wielding shifter who had dealt most of the damage before a leaf girl deal the final blow.
Upon exiting the mountain they had found the snow covered lands of Zena where the Ice tribe lived. She went on to explain the various creatures they had encountered there before finally driven mad from the cold she and her closest companions decided to head home. Her story would take them well into dusk as it carried on to explain her trip home and how she was readying Rishima her half breed companion to meet with the elders.
