Regardless of how much authority Leera was trying to show over the two, Damian was not effected by it. He kept his position, his pose, and his tone to the same it had been just as he had arrived. Her tail had raised, but the scout seemed to take no notice of it. Why should he? Granted, the fae was his alpha, but what else was there? She showed no real authority over him aside from holding a rank. Constantly, Damian would challenge her. There were plenty of times where she would put him back in his place, but the male never stayed there for long. He would always step on her toes and challenge her, no matter what. Soon, though... soon he would get his way.

There was no doubt that Glaise was not approving of his words, though that meant nothing to Damian. Glaise was just another body in the pack - a body that Damian would have under his control eventually. Whether the warrior liked it or not, Damian had quite a bit of influence on the others in the pack, and he knew all the right words to say to their so-called alpha to get her to agree with him. Not just words, of course, but tone. The fact that he knew what he was talking about, he presented himself with confidence and pride... it all added up into how people responded to him. Leera was no different when it came to that. Hell, nobody was. The alpha stated her words, seeming to side with him from the start. Though most wolves would have shown some sort of emotion such as a smirk or a grin, Damian just remained still, his golden eyes focusing on the warrior before him. It was yet another challenge, as he was quite good at making others feel intimidated or inferior. He wanted this warrior to feel threatened by just his stare, because then Damian would be able to get him under his control. Oh, yes... the time was soon coming.

As soon as Leera got up to leave, Glaise took that moment to speak his mind. He called the two disgusting, basically saying that their acts and thought processes were completely wrong. As if the humans would really let even the lycan cubs live? There was no doubt in Damian's mind that the entire human race would try to exterminate the lycans. They had no reason not to, did they? The lycans were presented as a threat, even a young one, because eventually young ones grew up to be adults... and those adults would be just as deadly as the last ones. Why would they ever let them thrive? Especially since the humans had started attacking out of seemingly no where.

Lunging forward to block the path of the warrior, Damian curled his lips to snarl lightly as he spoke. "Do not be a fool, Glaise. The humans would kill off your cub just as soon as they would anyone else's. Be glad you do not have any children to lose." Shifting a bit, the scout began to close in on the warrior - either forcing Glaise to step back, or hold his ground. Either way, though, Damian was still getting closer and closer. "Do you think they are sitting in their homes, sipping their tea and eating their meals, not worrying about how they are going to kill us? Their women, their children, eventually they will grow tired of seeing us as a threat. You've seen what they've done already, have you not? They have attacked us out of no where. What makes your mind think they will not try to finish the job when they have the chance?" Finally stopping, Damian bared his teeth at the warrior one last time before huffing a bit. "You clearly do not understand that this is for the own good of our species. Those humans will not stop until we are dead. If your life is to be taken before you finally realize that, then perhaps you will no longer be the issue of holding us back from thriving in this world." With that, Damian turned his back on the warrior - an act that showed total disrespect to the other. He was done here.

ooc I didn't want to auto them in my post, because Glaise can reply if he wants. Otherwise, just auto. Or radio can auto since it's her post. xd

Leera Soles
Leader of the Lycans

User Image

xxxWhat Glaise felt about any of this wasn't any concern to Leera, after all, he hadn't been in the shaman's office. He hadn't seen what she'd seen, and he had no clue as to what he was dealing with. They were weak, yes, but not when they had better weapons and back up. Hunters were becoming more common, and rumor was that the guards were actually heading into the woods in search of the lycans that lived there. They were soon to be pushed out of their own home, if they didn't fight back. The whole point of this was to keep her kind safe, her pack safe. She wouldn't let the humans drive them out of their home, at least not without a fight. Luckily for their Warrior, Glaise, Leera was too busy with her own thoughts to be paying attention to either of the males. This not only benefitted Glaise, as if she would have heard him blatantly disrespecting her, she would have torn him to shreds. As for Damian's case, she wasn't as worried as that male was constantly stepping on her toes and testing her limits. Even though they both knew she wouldn't hesitate to put him in place. Part of Leera enjoyed these little fights over dominance, but another little part found it annoying and wished to really put the Scout in his place.

For now, she was really focused on talking this over with her other Warriors and Scouts to ensure that everyone knew their battle plan. Though with one of her best known Warriors freaking out over the upcoming war, she wasn't sure what to think. Would all of the others act the same and lecture her about how wrong it was to kill off their enemy? This was one of the many kill or be killed situations, and she didn't want a weak pack. What to do about Glaise? What was there that she could do to show him that as innocent as the humans looked, they were nothing of the sort. They weren't harmless, they weren't meant to be protected, and they most certainly could not live in peace with them. For so long, her parents had tried and that was their mistake. They over-looked those who were killed as it was merely an accident as far as they were concerned. But it wasn't, and Leera knew that, ever since one of her siblings had been "accidentally" killed. It was no accident, there had been far too many arrows. Accidents weren't like that, especially if there were so many arrows lodged into the body. It had been very much on purpose.

And she wasn't going to let her pack live through those days again when their loved ones dying by the human hands was merely an accident. No, it was on purpose, it was their way of starting a war, and they'd realize their mistakes. Oh, she'd make them all pay. Head held high, she made her way into the building where they often held meetings, looking around for her Head Warrior. It was time to discuss the battle plan, and how they would reduce the humans to nothing but ash. "As you all may know, it's time for us to strike back. It's time to show those humans just what they're dealing with. They've killed another, and it's time to avenge his death and ensure the rest of us survive. This is the start of a war!" She announced, her eyes locking onto several of those of her warriors. She scanned the room until she found Glaise, her eyes narrowing at him. "And if any of you want to think that those oh so innocent humans won't do the same to you... Go on, walk the borders. You don't even have to prove yourself to be a threat. I'm sure they'll kill on sight. I will not have any human lovers in my pack. You think they deserve to live? Go live with them. You'll face the same fate they will." She snarled out, her eyes on Glaise before she scanned the room. Oh, she wasn't messing around and this was known. Leera wasn't going to have a weak pack, and she certainly wasn't going to have any human-loving mutts in her pack, either. After all, if they loved the enemy, that's where they belonged. Right in the graves with the humans.

Glaise was normally a calm fellow. He could keep his head in most situations and think clearly. However, there was just something about Damian... That wolf got under his skin like nothing else, riling the anger he kept deep inside. Damian seemed to have no regard for the natural order of things, for one. Leera was the alpha, but that stupid scout just traipsed in and chattered on, barely acknowledging Leera. Glaise couldn't detect any real respect for the others in the pack either. Respect was one of Glaise's highest values, and Damian spit all over it.
As Damian locked eyes with Glaise, the warriors hackles raised. His anger was about to boil over, something that had only happened a very few number of times. He kept his eyes on the scout as he continued towards the Hall. Then the scout just had to make it worse. Every one of Glaise's muscles locked up, even his tail went rigid. The very uncharacteristic urge to tear out a throat came over Glaise and he exposed each and every one of his teeth, lowering his head a bit. He forced himself to listen to Damian, perhaps so he could get even angrier. The last straw dropped when Damian turned around with utter dismissal. Before he could stop himself, Glaise launched himself forward, snipping at the scouts neck. He wasn't quite ready to hurt the weaselly little s**t, but he still wanted to knock him down a notch, and right now he just couldn't deal with words.
"You both are blinded by your hatred," he snapped, shoving the scout with his heavy paws. Despite a strong desire to show some dominance over the scout, Glaise gave one more growl before turning and joining the others in the meeting hall. At this point, he didn't care what Leera or Damian had to say. Even if it killed him, which they seemed convinced it would, he would stop this crap. Every life should be given consideration, should be given the chance to flourish. He would make sure everyone- lycan and human- finally grasped that concept, no matter what it took him.

Whispers on the streets were enough to catch his attention, and it seemed just in time, too. The whispers of one of the knights venturing out into the brush in order to investigate the wolf rumors, and for what? To do his job? The thought of fighting the wolves as a one-man army was foolish, let alone venturing into their territory to do it. What could anyone possibly be thinking for this?

Vaun stepped forth, having tracked his way back to the source of where he had heard the whispers, which was from the very mouth of the man who intended to go. It seemed that just as he had passed by, they remained in hearing-distance long enough for Vaun to understand what was being said between Annaleigh and Kaine. So the knight thought he would really go out by himself? Foolish. Idiotic. Hell, he had half a mind to send him out there anywhere for even thinking the idea. "Venturing into the wilderness alone, are you?" he asked, moving to stand in front of the two by circling around from behind. He had trailed after them once he'd heard the intention of Kaine, and now stood before them to stop them from going any further. Of course, that also meant rudely moving in front of Myriam to do so, and completely ignoring her for the time being. "If you feel that investigating these rumors alone is the best call, then perhaps it is in my best intentions to let you go out there as you wish. You won't come back alive." He paused momentarily, looking between the two in front of him and still ignoring the one behind him.

"You're foolish to think going out there by yourself is even an idea that a child would come up with. Do you know how quick they would take you down? Walking into a battlefield alone is foolish, but walking into the enemy territory alone is just plain stupid." He stepped forward momentarily, this time ignoring everyone except for Kaine. The two stood almost toe-to-toe as Vaun narrowed his eyes in a warning gesture. "Do not make me regret the fact that you hold the rank of someone who is supposed to understand the art of war, boy." With that, he stepped back, cleared his throat, and tipped his head up. He'd said everything he needed to say, so without a moment of hesitation from there on, Vaun turned on his heels and went to leave - only to turn and face Myriam.

Instantly, the human leader's demeanor changed. He straightened up completely, and his facial expression was no longer that of anger or rage - but instead it was light and almost... happy. "M-Myriam!" he exclaimed, almost stumbling over his words. "Good day to you, my lady." A small bow was made, as well as a nervous, yet almost flirtatious smile. Of course, before anything else, he planned to leave - unless Kaine or one of the others decided to change his mind at the moment.

ooc Okay, so I had a random idea that was made in this post. He's gonna have this nervous little crush on Myriam. He's gonna be a d**k to everyone [even though he really does care], but tto Myriam, he's gonna be like "omgomgomgshesmiledatme" and whatnot. Also, feel free to have Kaine or anyone speak their mind after he speaks to Myriam. That way they can get their side in. He didn't really pause at all when he went from Kaine to Myriam, so there wouldn't be much room to interject there - but after, go for it. :3 Also, I'm at a loss of what to do for Damian. But I'll get him out sooooooon.

☩ Myriam Scott ☩
Doctor

『 Everybody hurts, I'm just here to fix it. 』

User Image
XXXXXThe young doctor was happily standing with Annaleigh and Kaine. It seemed that the weather would be nice today and that it would be a pretty decent day. She knew that Kaine had been wanting to go and fight the wolves for a while now. Even she herself at the least thought a diplomatic approach would be well for trying to end this meaningless dispute between their town and the natives. Her feelings towards the wolves were that they, being the humans, were imposing on where the wolves had once called home. The werewolves had given their homes to accommodate the newcomers. Though both sides have been causing turmoil towards each other. It is not one sides fault in this, it is both. She gave a small startle when a dark figure walked in front of her and blocked her view of the two. Stepping back a bit, she noticed it was a human form, not a wolf.

Vaun, their leader, had come in between her and the two she had just come over to talk to. From the looks of it, he did not seem too thrilled either. Annaleigh had not done a single thing and Myriam felt bad she was getting a bit of Kaine's scolding directed at her. Myriam stood there, peaking around Vaun to watch as he told Kaine it was a death wish to go into the forest alone. Myriam squeezed her bag a bit that had some new herbs in it. She blushed a bit and stood back. He was right when he said that it was foolish to go alone. She didn't even know what she had been thinking wanting to go in the forest by herself, but those two didn't deserve to be scolded like that. If anything, it should have been Kaine and herself, not Annaleigh, taking the punishment for disobeying rules. There had been many times Myriam had walked into the forest so that she could grab different plants and things she needed. Sometimes she just went for fun also. That was when it was more peaceful and safe. When the wolves would protect her from harm.

Myriam had just about had enough of Vaun's scolding when he turned around to look at her. She blushed when he stuttered a bit. He had even bowed to her and smiled. Gently reaching out and wrapping an arm through his, she patted his arm and said, "Good morning, Vaun! I believe today would be a nice day for a picnic! So if you are done giving your vital insight, we should go sit in the fields and enjoy the day for a while. I have some wonderful new sandwiches to try!" Myriam looked over her shoulder at Annaleigh and Kaine, making a motion with her eyes and head for them to head back to the town and stay out of trouble. As long as Myriam could help keep others out of trouble, she would. Kaine was being a bit foolish anyways, but Vaun needed to reassure his rules were being upheld. She did find the young leader to be quite handsome and she did not mind going out with Vaun to relieve his stress and enjoy their day.

This entire post is OOC so I won't bother doing anything fancy with it.

Thanks to unavoidable issues with the chemistry of my brain and the process of my thoughts, my depression has become a huge issue once again. IshouldhonestlyprobablybeinahospitalbutIcanstandthose Thanks to this, it is a major accomplishment for me to make it through a day without physically hurting myself. It also makes it impossible for me to carry something through for an extended period of time, which shoots posting in role-plays right out of the realm of possible for me. As a result, I haven't really any other choice but to drop out. I have no idea when I will be out of this particular rut so until further notice I will probably definitely not be on Gaia, so just pretend Glaise dropped dead of some illness- I don't particularly care at the moment so long as I don't have the pressure of having to post here or anywhere else for a while.

TL;DR I am barely able to function right now thanks to disorders in my brainpan so I am leaving.

Reverie stopped near the edge of the forest, still concealed by the trees, and changed back into her human form. She had arrived earlier that morning when it was still dark, but the idea of a lone girl walking through the streets at that time of day would draw unwanted attention and suspicion. Making sure no leaves, branches or mud were on her, she trekked out into town. The smell of the bakery and the sight of smoke rising from the chimneys motioned that the sleeping town had started to awaken. Reverie dusted off her dress and quickly ran her fingers through her hair one last time before wandering the streets.

Walking into town, she was greeted by many townsfolk. She tensed at their greetings, wondering whether they knew she was a lycan. However, the smells of the bakery and the sweetness of the morning air made her feel a little more at ease. Merchants, both native and foreign to the town, had begun to set up their wares for the day's market. Children ran across the streets, screaming with joy. No doubt excited to play with the other children. Her wolf stirred within her, it's tail wagging. It, too, wanted to join their play. Reverie shook her head with a smile. She was on a job. A job Leera had appointed to her. There was no time for play.

Continuing to observe the town, Reverie wandered about. Reverie spotted a few guards that appeared to be worthy to be in battle, but none caught her attention to be threatening. She also spotted a blonde couple. They were on the edge of town, apparently discussing something. The male appeared to be ready for an excursion, equipped with a small sword at his side. Reverie wanted to be closer, to listen in on their conversation, but she didn't want to be caught. She had listened to many conversations over town to see if anyone had any information on the lycans. Plus she didn't want to be caught in a lover's quarrel, if they were lovers. Reverie shrugged and walked away. As she retreated, she caught the sight of a dark-haired lady carrying a bag near the couple. So they weren’t lovers? Reverie tilted her head to the side in thought, then gave up. Love was confusing, both for humans and lycans. But she couldn’t really have a say since she was just an onlooker. As she left, she caught the sight of another joining the trio. A man. He seemed to have an interest in the dark-haired lady, but his demeanor was quite intimidating. Reverie shook her head in hopelessness. She refused to get the confusing concept of love at all.

Back in the lycan village, Reverie lowered her canine head to the ground and tried to get a hold of Leera’s scent. She wasn’t the best tracker in the village, but she decided this would be the best time to hone what satisfactory tracking skills she had. Once she caught onto her alpha’s scent she slipped quietly through the streets, undisturbing her fellow citizens. She arrived in the town’s square to see Leera walking away from a confrontation with Glaise and Damian. Reverie padded up to her fellow scout Damian. She glanced at where Leera had headed off to then looked up at Damian. She tilted her head to the side, her ears perked up in interest. “What happened?” She asked.

Kaine narrowed his eyes and grew angry with the lecture Vaun was giving him. Of course he knew what he was doing. Of course he knew the consequences that would await for him. Of course he knew what a childish act he was performing, but curiosity pecked at him, eating at him alive. Who wouldn’t want to know whether the rumors were true? To know who was truly their enemy? A mundane pack of wolves or a pack of lycans? Kaine looked at his leader in indifference, but clenched his hands into fists by his side. Anger gnawed at his emotional wall he spent years building.

He didn’t plan to fight any wolves or lycans. He wasn’t planning to. He just wanted to know what they were up to. He wanted to scout the area. He wanted a little time to himself. Time when he wasn’t around any people. He didn’t need to be lectured. He was well aware of what he was doing. He didn’t need to explain himself. Kaine slowly let out a breath. His body tensed, ready to punch Vaun in the face. But before he could, Vaun turned toward Myriam and suddenly fawned over her.

Kaine nearly fell over in bewilderment. How could someone change moods so quickly? Kaine gradually regained his composure. He crossed his arms in front of him to prevent any violence towards his boss. “Whatever.” He mumbled incoherently. “Someone needed to see if you were paying attention and keeping a tally on your battalion. None of us would be surprised if you weren’t.” Kaine closed his eyes and sighed. Kaine glanced over at the forest. He had a strange longing to be rid of his company and journey out. Not just into the forest, but out in the world. Strange, since he didn’t consider himself as a voyager or a nomad. Perhaps it was the life of living in a highly populated area that made him think in eccentric ways.

The knight shrugged off the thought and turned toward his company. “Perhaps today would be nice for a picnic.” Kaine started to walk towards town, stopping only to gesture to Annaleigh. “Shall we leave the lovely couple to their courtship?” Kaine said, turning his head to Vaun. A small smile on his lips.

Annaleigh Cole
Human Civilian

User Image

xxxWatching Kaine worriedly, Annaleigh waited to see if he would take her advice and choose not to go into the woods, especially by himself. It was rare to see anyone go into those woods, and usually, they never came back. She didn't know the lad all too well, they conversed every now and then on her way to the bakery but she still didn't want to see him suffer the same fate as those whom had foolishly ventured into the woods alone. Not only was he putting himself at risk but the people of the village as well, as if he went in and were to be attacked and killed, he wouldn't be coming back and that would be one less person to help protect the village. When Myriam spoke up, seemingly having missed what was previously said to her, Annaleigh smiled. It was a rare sight to see the blonde get angry about anything and she just gave a smile, looking to Myriam and then back to Kaine. "Conversing with a friend on my way to the shop. I've got to get ready for the big sale tomorrow.." She replied, soon raising a brow at the basket that Myriam was holding. Did that mean that she, too, was going into the woods? It wasn't particularly the type of company she wanted Kaine to have, but it was better for him to have someone whom could watch his back, even if the person didn't have their own weapon.

Just as she was about to try and convince Kaine to come into town with her and to have breakfast, their leader showed up. She didn't have time to say or do anything as he blocked the path, speaking directly to Kaine and boy did he seem angry. It was enough to cause Annaleigh to take a step back, trying to avoid the anger of Vaun. Did he think that she was planning to venture into the forest as well? Hopefully not, Annaleigh was deathly terrified of the woods now, especially after the attacks had started. She hated walking on the path alone, even if it was in a safe area and out of the woods. The best and the only way to soothe her nerves was to find someone to walk with, whether it be Kaine, Myriam, or a stranger. Just so long as she wasn't by herself. Even if Vaun's words were frightening to the blonde, she knew his words to be true. If Kaine stumbled across any of the lycans, he wouldn't be coming back. Luckily the scolding didn't last long and she was silent, looking nervously to Kaine. Had that been enough to make him change his mind? She certainly hoped so.

While Vaun turned his attention to Myriam, finding it suitable to dote on her, she gave a weak smile to Kaine, hoping that he was okay. Had she just gotten him in trouble by trying to prevent him from endangering himself? She certainly hoped not, she didn't want any enemies, and the one person whom she walked with the most, she hoped he'd understand her fears. It seemed that Myriam was taking advantage of having Vaun's attention, using the chance to get Annaleigh and Kaine away from their angry leader and she wouldn't hesitate to head into town, giving the female a smile and a nod. She'd run into her again, it was a small village and there would be plenty of time to talk. For now, she had other things to worry about. But it seemed Kaine was ready to start a fight with Vaun, challenging him by talking very rudely. Annaleigh was stunned and before she could say anything to shut Kaine up, he had invited her to come to town with him and she happily obliged, wanting to be away from their leader. After all, it wouldn't be long before Vaun heard what Kaine had said, and she was sure it wouldn't end well. The sooner she got out of the area, the better. She gave an apologetic look to Vaun and Myriam, even if they wouldn't see, soon looking to Kaine.

"Was that really necessary? You're getting yourself into trouble, Kaine! And I'm not quite sure Myriam will be able to keep you out of trouble if you keep it up, I know you want to go out.. But alone? He has a point, it's too dangerous and you're one of our only knights. If something happens to you out there, that's one less person to protect us. Come to the shop with me, I'll fix you some breakfast. Muffins sound good?" She questioned, looking to the blonde at her side, doing her best to keep him out of trouble, and danger. Pissing off their leader wasn't a wise idea and she hoped that he'd been too busy fawning over Myriam to notice Kaine's rude statement about someone making sure that Vaun was paying attention.

Leera Soles
Leader of the Lycans

User Image

xxxLooking around the room, Leera was waiting to see what her scouts had to say, as she was noticing that most of them were here in the meeting hall. It seemed that they all had gone out though she was growing irritated as it seemed that none of them had any useful information. No information on when the next travelling merchant would be going to the human village, or how many guards they had. "No one can tell me just what the humans are up to? Have any of you actually done your duties?!" She barked out, catching the attention of the scouts in the room. After her speech, she had noticed that the warrior, Glaise, had left. It was no surprise to her and she made note that if she saw him with those humans, she'd kill the humans in front of him, rip his lovely little interests from his life and then kill him after. After all, he was siding with the enemy, to her, he was a traitor. "And let it be known to anyone who thinks I am just playing, that I am not serious. If I catch you with those humans, I'll kill them, then you. You're befriending the enemy, you are being a traitor to our pack. I won't have that. So if you're a human lover, go. It would be wise to end your life as well, because I won't hesitate to kill you on sight once I catch you. Here's your headstart, you all know where the door is." And much to Leera's delight, a few wolves looked around the room, giving a threatening snarl. They agreed, and so far, Glaise was the only one whom had left. Nodding to one of her other warriors, she gave him the signal. Glaise was going to die. No wolf would walk out of her pack to join those humans, no wolf would have the chance to warn the humans of what was to come.

Just as she was about to rip into the scouts again, she caught sight of a familiar white pelt, the sight immediately calming her down. It seemed Reverie was back from her task and Leera met the scout in the middle of the room, perking her ears though she held her tail up, waiting for the report. Of course, it seemed that Reverie had went to her fellow scout, Damian first, wanting to know what was going on. This wouldn't do and Leera let the other female know of her displeasure at the fact that Reverie hadn't come straight to her. Did she not know her duties? She had been sent out on a scouting mission, her first priority should be to report her knowledge to Leera, not converse. "What did you find out, Reverie?" She questioned, not bothering to hide just how annoyed she was. It wasn't just the scout, it was a mixture of having a lycan walk out on her, having a lycan betray the pack to go befriend the humans. And now, a scout was late on telling her what she had found out, it was all just enough to get on her nerves. "As for what happened, Glaise has left the pack to be with those scum of humans. As of such, I have sent out a warrior to make sure he doesn't warn the humans. I'm giving everyone a chance to choose their side, now. Just be warned, if you leave the pack, I can't guarantee you'll live." She stated, giving a sickly sweet smile. If she didn't kill the traitors herself, her blood-thirsty warriors certainly would. Already, she could smell the blood and she was regretting the fact that she had stayed back to wait on Reverie to give her report. Leera wished she would've been there to help put Glaise in his place for choosing the humans over his own pack.

When it came to fighting hand-to-hand combat, Damian was lacking skill completely. Sure, he knew how to swing his fists and bite someone's throat out, but other than that he had no training whatsoever, and had no skill. So when someone was coming at him, the best he could do was throw a punch and hope that it didn't miss. Then again, the only reason he had no skill was because he didn't fight often. The only thing that kept him from getting pummeled all the time was that he knew how to use his words. He could twist things around, make the person feel intimidated enough as if they were not going to win the fight. That, or he would be able to feed into their anger, and direct it at something else. Whatever the result, though, he had managed to keep himself from getting hurt and/or killed many times. Of course... when it came to Glaise, the scout knew it was only a matter of time before something physical happened. This time, it was intentional He wanted Glaise to get physical; wanted the warrior to strike first out of anger. Damian was tempting the warrior over and over by just saying little things, as well as getting in his face. But he still awaited the moment when Glaise would strike. At this rate, though, it was going to be sooner rather than later.

Just as expected, Glaise finally snapped. dAmian turned his back to the warrior, showing disrespect by doing that simple act, and it was enough to set the warrior off. Damian had not only mashed Glaise's buttons, but he obliterated them. For someone so calm and collected, Damian had set the other male over the top, just as he wanted. With a quick lunge, the warrior was at him, nipping at his throat with a loud snarl. It had startled Damian, to say the least. Though he was expecting it any moment, it was still quick enough to catch him off guard. He jumped, trying to turn to face Glaise fully, but two large paws had shoved him to the side heavily. His hind paws slid in the dirt, keeping him from falling as he finally turned to face the warrior, listening to his words. They were words of a fool.

"You are a fool, Glaise," he retorted, laughing lightly while baring his teeth. "I feel no hatred toward humans aside from what they have done to this pack. But my wisdom outweighs your idiocy, and I can see through the haze that these humans will not stop until every one of us is dead. If you don't believe me, then perhaps you should go side with them. You can die right by your master's side, like the good little dog you are." The last part was said with a loud snarl, and Damian's fur bristled. It was a warning to Glaise, but also another attempt to have more physical violence happen. Oh, Damian had his reason.

Once Glaise separated, and went to the meeting, Damian huffed lightly before trailing into the group as well, though was sure to keep his distance from everyone. He sat off to the side, alone, all the while keeping his gaze on the alpha as she started her speech. He listened intently, but was also forming a plan within his head. A plan that would get things going in the direction that he wanted. However, it would take a bit more effort than planned, considering Glaise had become a bigger problem than Damian first expected. It was not a huge issue, but before he could realy continue with his plan, all of the problems would have to be eliminated. One way or another, it would happen.

A soft sound came from his side, forcing his ears to bow lightly before he turned his head. Brown eyes landed on Reverie, and he gave her a quick lookover as she questioned what she had missed. Oh, if she only knew! If she had come just a few minutes earlier, she would have seen everything. Still, he had no intentions on explaining what had happened. In fact, he was planning on retorting with a sarcastic comment, but the alpha intervened before he could. She placed herself in front of the female scout, and questioned what was happening. At this point in time, Damian usually would have been rubbing all up against the alpha, but instead he remained seated and just listened. Any other time, he would have done that, but not this time. No... he had another plan, and the start of it was not happening just yet.

With the ferocious announcement of Glaise leaving, brown eyes glanced over in the direction where he had last seen the warrior, only to take notice that the spot was now empty. So it was true, the pup had finally given in to go with the humans? The mere thought caused a sadistic smirk to cross his face. Leera sent a warrior out after Glaise, but at this point, Damian was unable to help himself. He stood, and his voice was loud as he barked after the predator. "Bring his head back as a trophy and symbol to everyone who thinks of betraying this pack. These cubs will learn not to ******** over their alpha." But with that, he quieted down, considering the warrior was now gone off to find Glaise.

Oh, what a wonderful day this was for Damian!

Once the alpha had finally finished everything she needed to say, Damian brought himself to stand and approached her. He did not touch her like he usually would have, but instead stood close to her and spoke in a low tone. Whether or not Reverie remained nearby, it didn't matter. He would still say the same thing regardless. "How dare that mutt betray this pack. Your pack. He left for the humans, but he will learn the hard way. Either one of the warriors takes his life, or one of the humans will. It is his own fault." Damian growled lowly, but his eyes locked with the alphas. "These humans will not stop at anything, Leera. We either take them now, or we wait for them to invade our home and kill our families. Or do you wish that this pack go down as a failure?" The last part was said with a snarl, and he bared his fangs some in attempt to rile her up.

Damian would feed into her anger. He would rile her up and get her more and more aggressive, as it was all a part of his plan. And once she was so angry that everything started to boil over, he would take control of her through that rage, and would have his way. Oh, yes... he had everything planned out. Soon enough, he would have his alpha eating from the palm of his hand.

If Vaun wasn’t swooning over Myriam at the moment, he surely would have heard Kaine pretty much insult him. On top of that, he would have – once again – gotten into Kaine’s face and made it plain and simple just who was in charge in the town. If it was one thing that he just couldn’t stand, it was disrespect, and there was no doubt in Vaun’s mind that Kaine was showing it. Not just now, but before, too. It seemed that Kaine was always playing the rebellious teenager when it came to following the rules, or maybe that was just how Vaun viewed it. The two had butted heads before, but then again, Vaun had butted heads with pretty much everyone in the town except a select few. Still, no matter who it was that was showing the disrespect, he would have approached it the same way. He held no personal quarrels against the kid, of course, but Vaun would be the first to admit that Kaine just couldn’t follow the rules. And soon enough, that would get him into trouble, whether it be with the humans or the lycans.

As his attention remained on Myriam, his mood remained in a much better state. He had a bashful smile on his face, especially once her arm had looped with his. Ah, yes, it was then that his cheeks turned a light shade of red, though he tried to hide it by turning his head away from her some. A failed attempt, no doubt, but still one nonetheless. However, at the mention of a picnic, Vaun forgot all about hiding his blush and reverted his eyes over to her curiously. ”A picnic?” he repeated with a questioning tone while canting his head ever so slightly. ”Well I—uhh…” At this point, the human leader was once again stumbling over his words, trying to find the right thing to say to the beautiful woman that was at his arm. Of course, he was unable to find anything. Literally, he had no words coming from his mouth, which made him feel like a fool – and no doubt made him look like a fool, as well.

His face flushed an even darker shade of red, but he cleared his throat in an attempt to regain himself. ”Well, Myriam,” he began, ready to decline her offer as he had many things to do for the day. Then again, it was mainly because he was just too damn nervous and shy around her. But before he was even able to reject the offer, she had them heading away from the other two people and toward the picnic spot she had mentioned. Well, it seemed as if he had no choice now! But did he even really want to decline? He was nervous, yes, but spending time with the beautiful doctor was… well, something that did not happen often.

One would have assumed that he would have tried to court Myriam by now, but he had made no advances and no attempts to do so. The only reason being because he was just too damn nervous around her to even ask for her hand in courtship! When it came to almost any other woman, Vaun had no problems speaking to them, and even occasionally flirting. But when it came to Myriam? Well, the human leader lost the ability to even speak coherently when she graced him with her presence. Hell, that even happened when he was speaking about her and she was nowhere around him. It was sad, yes, but at least one was able to tell that he had a heart.

”S-so, Myriam…” he started as they were on their way. A bit of hesitation was in his voice, but he cleared his throat once more before speaking again. ”How are… how has your day been?” Smooth. Real smooth.

ooc I know this took a while, and I'm sorry. I'm have health issues that limit me at the moment.

Leera Soles
Leader of the Lycans

xxxHowls had filled the room after her announcement, several blood thirsty wolves lingered about the room, though she was stunned to find someone else speaking up. This wasn't what she was expecting, and as she listened to the words, she gave a snarl, whirling around to face Damian. So, he wanted proof that Glaise was to be killed? She glared at him, starting to approach the male, as she wouldn't normally have minded the order, today was not a very good day. It wasn't often that anyone ever walked out on Leera, and this was enough to put her in a sour mood. "What do you take yourself to be, Damian? Do you suddenly think that you're my partner? The other alpha? What makes you think that you, a lowly scout has permission to order around my warriors?!" She snarled, ready to put the male in his place. She was used to him trying to push her buttons and right now, she wasn't in the mood to deal with such things. Reverie hadn't replied to her yet, another thing that was annoying her as she was eager to hear the female's report. But it seemed Damian wasn't just focusing on handling Glaise and ensuring the warriors killed him, no, he was wanting to mess with the alpha. And she was in no mood to have him pester her but she perked her ears as he spoke up.

This wasn't quite what she expected but for once, she was silent, listening to what Damian had to say on the matter. Listening to him, she realized that he was right, who was this pup to betray her and her pack to join the enemy. He really did belong with the humans, and she'd make sure he got to meet his beloved innocent humans in the afterlife, every single one of them. And then the humans were mentioned, those filthy two leggeds. She hated them all and she snarled at just the mention of them, her eyes hardening as she deflected her gaze away from Damian, not wanting to give him the priveledge to look into her eyes. "I know they won't. No matter what anyone wants, those humans are dead. I will slaughter them all. They won't stop, we don't even have to launch a war... That wuold just be us rolling over and allowing them to murder us without fighting for our pack." She snarled, and as most knew, Leera wasn't one to go down without a fight. And she wouldn't let her pack just roll over and take death as it came - no, they would fight until the end. They would fight to ensure the humans knew who was the weaker race.

"We start the attacks tonight. We take out their supplies.. Any travelling merchants.. We cut off their contact to the outside world. Anyone tries to run, we take them down. We will show no mercy." Leera decided, calling over one of her lead warriors and breaking him the news. Of course, he was eager and though he didn't show it, the alpha knew the male and could read him like an open book. On the outside he was calm and collected but on the inside? He was excited, he was ready for this. He was eager and blood thirsty. Just how a lycan in her pack should be. "And Damian, since you're so eager to give out orders, you may go with them. You are going to help make sure my pack does not turn out to be a failure. You are to oversee the process along my lead warrior. Make sure no one survives. Bring back every body. Tonight, after the deed is done, the pack will feast." She snarled, nodding for them to go and prepare. They were to rip those humans apart, brutally murder them and she paused, her eyes locking onto Damian. "Make sure they know that you were there. Make sure they know that our pack is done hiding. Leave the heads and lots of blood. Bring the remains home, to your pack." She huffed, trotting away with her tail up. Right now, she was going to go and try to relax, Reverie could find her later.

Tonight, it all started, the war. The bloodshed. She was pleased that her pack was willing to accept this, it meant only a few had to die on her side due to betrayal. Only one had walked away from her so far and Leera went to their infirmary to let the shaman know to stock up on supplies for if something were to happen. Once she was done with that, she went to her favorite spot, a ledge that over-looked her village and already, she could see them preparing. Instead of suiting up, they all shifted, their wonderful true forms showing and she smiled, watching her pack. This was a strong pack, and she wouldn't let them show any forms of weakness. Those humans would be dead by the time that spring was upon the lands.

Reverie's hackles rose as she let out a low growl. How dare a respected warrior like Damien deface the positions of Leera and Glaise. Everyone's roles were necessary in the pack no matter what position they held. Leera was just protecting her pack, her family. As for Glaise, from what Reverie could put together, he was just stating his opinions. Everyone had opinions on the topics of humanity and morality. Reverie let out a curt huff. Was it wrong of her to want to wrestle the warrior down and make him submit? She looked up at Damien. His size was almost twice of her own. She wouldn't be able to take him down physically. Reverie let out a frustrated growl. Her size was inconvenient when it came to battling. Although Damien may act and speak like an alpha, Reverie would never recognize him as her alpha. His likableness is not as great as Leera's. She thought to herself. Or maybe because he's a male. Reverie nodded to herself in confirmation. Probably and most definitely that.

Her ears perked up as Leera announced their plan to take the human town. A cold chill ran through her. Though she didn't quite agree with her alpha's plans, Leera's words were law. It always was. Reverie lowered her head and studied her paws, trying not to imagine the amount of bloodshed that would soon come. Her plan of distraction did not prevail as her mind flashed to the human children she saw that day. Some of them might die by her fellow lycans, some might be orphaned never to see their mother, father, and siblings again. Just like her. Reverie whimpered softly. War was not the answer. Innocent lives would be lost. The merchants were only doing their jobs. To sell their wares to support their lives and their family. War would only bring death, madness and more death.

She watched as Leera left the town's meeting hall. The scout left to follow her, but stopped to turn to Damien. The scout' narrowed her eyes. "Do not talk to Leera in disrespect again Damien." Reverie growled. "Of course she would like to see her pack to live successfully and vigorously. But during hard times, it is impossible to determine the correct answer to please everyone." Reverie tried to calm herself, to keep herself from saying something she may regret. "I'm sure you of all people would know that." She said softly. Reverie turned and left quickly to see where Leera had gone. Reverie had lost Leera in the throng of people preparing for the attack and shifting their forms. The scout, after some time, eventually caught up to the alpha who was overlooking the town.

Reverie padded towards Leera. "My apologies, Leera, for my inability to report to you sooner."
