Chakra: 70%%.The Yukikage smiled when he got suddenly barraged with questions from the young Yuki clan member. As she continued to ask question after question, he sweeped his arms in front of him, breaking off several branches off of nearby ice trees and reshaped the ice into different forms of Kanji for the young woman to look at. They were incredible detailed and stunning to look at and after she marveled at the craftsmanship, Ruri'iro sat down in front of them and began to explain. As he explained each Chakra element, he would bring the kanji that represented that element in front of him to show her what he means.
"Every shinobi has an affinity towards one of the five basic chakra elements. These elements are Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, and Wind. Each element has properties unique to them and can counter another of the five chakra elements. Fire counters and is strengthened by Wind, but is countered by Water. Water counters Fire, but is countered by Earth. Earth counters Water, but is countered by Lightning. Lightning counters Earth, but is countered by Wind. And Wind counters Lightning, but is countered by Fire. To perform elemental techniques, a shinobi must mold and define their chakra to the element in which they want to use. Like when I used Water against you in our spar. I molded my chakra in my stomach and unleashed it as a gout of Water. Now strong shinobi, such as those with Kekkai Genkai's, have the ability to use two or more Chakra Elements, but many aren't able to use anymore than three Chakra Elements."
After she digested that tidbit about Chakra Elements he continued to speak, "Certain clans are able to combine two Chakra Elements to create and entirely new one. The Yuki is an example of a group of people who can use an Advanced Chakra Element. Ice is formed from the Water and Wind Chakra elements, so we as a clan have both Water and Wind Chakra Elements," After saying what the Yuki Clan is able to do, he brought down both the Water and Wind Kanji and clapped his hands together, causing the two to smash together and form a new Kanji, the Kanji of Ice, "This means that we can use either Water or Wind style techniques alone as well as Ice techniques. There are many other combination elements that requires two Chakra elements as well as a few that requires the combination of three."
The Yukikage then shattered the Ice Kanji apart, reforming the ice into the kanji of Water and Wind again as he awaited his protege's response to his lesson.

 Aurora Yuki Hatake Aurora’s eyes widened in amazement as she watched her teacher form the kanji out of the icy branches and watched as they formed into separate kanji. She quickly joined him in sitting across from him on the ground. She listened closely as he described each element and the elements that countered it. She gasped in awe as Ruri’iro smashed the two kanji together to form the kanji for ice. She wondered to herself if she would ever be able to perform such a pretty showcasing. I wonder if this jutsu is similar to my butterflies. She thought to herself. They float kind of like them.“Why is earth countered by lightning?” she wondered. “Shouldn’t it be revered?” she asked as she put her elbows on her knees. “What other combinations of jutsus are there? Can you combine…” she looked up to the sky for a moment to think and blew the strands of hair out of her face only to have them fall back into place, “ water and lightning? Is that another Kekkai Genkai?” She then started thinking of other combinations. “What about earth and fire? Oh or…wind and earth?” she looked up at her master with bright purple eyes and a bright white smile.

Chakra: 70%%.Ah, all good questions. If she would let him have a word in edgewise, he would be able to answer them as best as he can. When she finally stopped talking, he smiled a little and explained it via the kanji, pulling the Earth and Lightning Kanji down, reforming the Earth kanji into a wall, and the Lightning Kanji into a spear, "Lightning counters Earth because when a Ninja utilizes the chakra nature, the high frequency vibrations allow for increased penetration or cutting power, allowing it to break the Earth apart," he answered, simulating this phenomenon by stabbing through the slab with the spear, then reforming them both into their respective Kanjis.
"There are many different combinations of Chakra Elements to form new ones. As you asked, Water and Lightning combined creates the Kekkai Genkai Storm Release," he then combined the two Kanji and formed the one for Storm Release, "This Kekkai Genkai fires beams of electricity that flows like water. Earth and Fire combined forms Lava," he then combined those two Kanji to form the Lava Kanji, hoping this was all making sense to the young woman, "As for Wind and Earth, we do not yet have a clue on whether that forms into another element. However these elements are the ones we won't be talking about today. We're talking about what makes Ice, Water and Wind. Now since all I've seen you do is create Ice, I'm guessing you want to learn something to do with Water and Wind right?"

Aurora Yuki Hatake Aurora watched everything and absorbed it all like a sponge. She watched as Ruri’iro formed the slab of ice that was supposed to represent earth and the spear that looked like a lightning bolt and explained why lightning was superior to earth. “Ohh…” she said as she finally understood. She was fascinated by the storm release Kekkai Genkai as well and the concept of how lightning could act like water. “How does lightning act like water?” she asked. “I’ve never heard of lightning acting like water.”She wasn’t as interested in lava for she didn’t particularly like things that were too hot. Not to say she didn’t like it but it just wasn’t as fascinating to her. She preferred cold or mild temperatures in general. Maybe that’s why she felt so safe here. “So…what makes wood style then?” she asked. She’s heard of it back in Konaha but wasn’t sure what chakras made it. When her sensei mentioned the concept of using water and wind separately she completely forgot her other questions and didn’t care if they got answered. “Yes! Er…I mean yes.” She cheered but quickly regained her composure. “How do you separate the two to make one or the other sensei?”

Chakra: 70%%.The enthusiasm that Aurora has was refreshing to see. The youth of the village were willing to learn about what made the world the way it is and that made Ruri'iro's job, as teacher and as Yukikage, so rewarding. Although she didn't care about her question about Mokuton being answered, Ruri'iro told her anyway that, "Earth and Water creates the Wood style that is highly coveted by many shinobi. It is also Wood style that inspired the jutsu around you," he then swept his hands above him as if to say, 'Behold', "This icy forest you see around you is a product of my studies in Konoha. It is a replication of the Wood Style jutsu: Nativity of a World of Trees."
He then stood up, dusting the snow off of him and stepped around the younger woman in order to answer her question, "A combined Element is actually harder to perform than the sum of it's parts. Since you have shown skill with Ice style jutsu, this shouldn't be as much of a problem. For todays lesson, I'm going to show you two different techniques utilizing both Elements. Two will use Water, the other Two will use Wind. First, we shall go with Water."
After he said that, he began the lesson, "How I usually separated the two elements that make up Ice was to knead the chakra in my stomach, then focused on the Element I wanted to use. For example, say I wanted to use Water. First I knead the chakra in my stomach," Ruri'iro then formed the handseals that the technique required while he focused a little, "Then I separate the two elements and use the element I need," Ruri'iro then placed two of his finger to one side of his face and water gushed out of his mouth and covered a wide area of the training grounds. Though only for a few seconds, once the flow ceased, he turned to Aurora and smiled, "It's a simple concept really. And I'm not saying that because I'm the Yukikage, it really is a simple concept. Do you feel confident enough in trying it yourself?"

Aurora Yuki Hatake Aurora looked back at the trees once more and watched them glisten in the sun light. She now had even more respect of how hard the technique must have been. I hope to be as good as sensei someday…maybe even better if possible. She thought to herself. She jumped slightly as she was once again snapped out of her trance to watch her sensei as he preformed the water technique. “Woh!” she said as she jumped up, causing the snow that had gathered on her to fall off in one quick move. “Hai, Master Ruri'iro.” She nodded and her demeanor suddenly changed. She closed her bright purple eyes and took a deep breath. In a flash, her eyes where opened as she concentrated hard on how to do the technique. She copied the hand signs she had seen him do and focused. Kneed my chakra in my stomic. She reminded herself. Separate my chakras and use the one I need… She put her fingers on the side of her mouth, inhaled and let out what she hoped to be a gush of water but it was merely a small stream. "Gah…aww…” she said slightly defeated. She blew the strands of hair ways that had blow into her face from a small breeze. “Hm…one more time.” She said more to herself than anything. Kneed my chakra…separate the water from the wind to use it…She made the hand signs, put her fingers on either side of her mouth, inhaled and let out a stronger stream of water. She smiled and tried it one last time. Knead my chakra, separate the two chakras and…she put her fingers on either side of her mouth on last time and finally had it. Sure it wasn’t as strong but with more practice she would have it down in no time. “You were right sensei, this isn’t as hard as I though!” she beamed. She had always had a knack on picking things up quickly. She only had to see something once and she could tell you every detail. She did it one more time just to make sure she had it down. Knead my chakra, separate water from wind…She did the hand signs, put her fingers to her lips and exhaled an even stronger spray of water. “What’s this jutsu called?” She wanted to put a name on the technique she just learned. She didn’t want to have to call it water lugi. It just sounded nasty. (Got it ^^ 411 words!)

Chakra: 70%%."It's called Suiton: Mizurappa, or Water Release: Violent Water Wave. It can do more than just bowl an enemy over with a wave of water though," Ruri'iro said to his student after he watched his student perform the technique to his pleasure. He was amazed on how quickly she was able to understand what he wanted her to do, demonstrate the technique, then she did the same. It was a good feeling to know that he was a good teacher and she was a smart student. But to demonstrate his point of it being more than just a wave of water, he stepped into the remaining water he created and stomped in the puddle. As water splashed up, he swept his arms beside him, causing the individual water droplets to freeze and form into Ice Shurikens.
"We of the Yuki Clan can use the water around us to turn it to Ice. And in dry climate like the Land of Wind, we can use Water Techniques to create our own. But even if we can't utilize Ice, we still have more tricks up our sleeve. Aurora, this one will require your fans, and no hand seals."
To demonstrate, Ruri'iro used one of his own fans and reared back a little, then swung the open fan forward, which caused a powerful gale to cut down one of the icy trees, "Kamaitachi is a Wind Element Jutsu. With your chakra, you just enhance and manipulate the air currents your fans already produce. Give it a try, as you will find it's a bit easier than kneading chakra in your stomach."

Aurora Yuki Hatake “Water Release: Violent Water Wave…” Aurora said softly so she could remember it better. She smiled and watched as Ruri’iro-sama stomped on the ground and made the ice shuriken. “Woh! How did you do that?” she was fascinated by the fact he made ice shuriken by using his foot. She looked at where her fan blades were on the ground where she left them after their sparing match. How did they get all the way over there? She quickly ran towards the icy tree they had landed by, one of them was embedded into the tree. She pulled it out and picked the other one up and ran back over to Ruri’iro. She once again concentrated and focused, her brows furrowing slightly this time. She would give it a try and copy his moves. Step back, gather chakra and swung! She swung but nothing happened. “Hm…” she hummed in slight frustration but didn’t give up. What did I do wrong? Step back, gather chakra…oh yea! Separate the chakras and swung! She told herself but again nothing happened but just a bit of air movement from the fan itself. “Sensei, what am I doing wrong?” She had done everything right as far as she could tell.

Chakra: 70%%.Well she did it. And Ruri'iro was pleased. Although she didn't understand it as quickly as she understood the first technique she learned, he chalked it up to faulty teaching on his part. Now that she has those two mastered, he figured she was more used to just kneading chakra in her stomach and doing techniques that way instead of channeling it through a weapon. He'll hold off on teaching her anymore fan using Ninjutsus until she can master Kamaitachi.
"You want to learn some more?" he asked, although he knew the answer would be yes. She was a like a sponge absorbing all the knowledge he can give her. So he figured she would be ready to learn just a little bit more, "The next trick I'm going to show you is more complicated than Mizurappa because it combines elemental and shape manipulation of chakra. Watch."
And so, with a deep breath, the man spat water between his outstretched hands and shaped the chakra into a spear like shape that extended once he grabbed a hold of the water. He spun it around to test it before he smiled at his brilliant student, "The trick is to shape the water you breath out with both your hands and with your chakra. For beginners, I would move your hands in circles up and down as a place to focus the water in between."

Aurora watched once more and realized that she hadn’t done that. “Oh, I get it!” she beamed. She then copied his steps. Rear one of my fans back, channel my chakra in to my blade…She concentrated and felt the chakra in her stomach swirl up into her right arm and into the blades of her fan. At the beginning of my arc release the chakra to manipulate the air. She swung and the air current was so much stronger. Strong enough in fact that it sliced a lower branch off of an ice tree. “So that’s how it works.” She smiled. It was more of a statement than a question. She did it once more but tried it with the opposite hand and the other blade. She once again concentrated and felt the chakra move up her arm and into her blade. “Kya!” she cried out as she unleashed an even stronger gust of wind towards the same ice tree. This time it hit the trunk of the tree but still wasn’t quite as strong to cut all the way through. It cut half way through, causing the tree to fall any way. It wasn’t a clean cut like Ruri’iro’s. “I did it!” she cheered.

Aurora Yuki Hatake She nodded enthusiastically. “Yes sir!” she beamed. She wanted to learn as much as possible so she could become strong and powerful. Aurora watched as Ruri’iro shaped the water he had just spat out. She realized it was fairly similar to her ice butterflies. She nodded in understanding and did the same thing she had done earlier. Kneed my chakra…separate the water from the wind to use it…She made the hand signs, put her fingers on either side of her mouth, inhaled and let out a stronger stream of water. She stopped the stream from shooting out, used both of her hands and shaped it into a spear like her sensei had. She smiled. This isn’t so bad. She told her self. She threw the spear towards a tree. It collided and made a small hole in the trunk. She did it once more just to make sure she had it down. Kneed my chakra, separate my water chakra from my wind chakra. She put her fingers to her mouth again, spat out the water and used her other hand to form the spear. “Sensei, this jutsu is kind of like my ice butterflies, right?” She said keeping the spear in the air with her left hand and formed a few butterflies with her right out of the water on the ground. True the spear wasn’t ice but the way it was formed was similar to the butterflies. “ The difference is that the butterflies are ice and the spear is still just water.” She asked. She then threw the spear at the same tree and some how managed to get it through the hole she had made with the previous spear. Goal! She mentally cheered to herself. The butterflies continued to flutter about, looking like the real thing.

Chakra: 70%%."Yes, it is similar to your ice butterflies, but unlike yours, this is not used for anything more than combat purposes, not from tracking," Ruri'iro answered when she succeeded in casting the technique with flying colors. By now, Ruri'iro believed they should have a bit of a rest before he teaches her one final technique. Then her lessons for today will be over for now. It was great to see his student able to grasp the basics of each technique she learned. When a teacher is able to do something like that, it always makes them smile.
"Let's take five before we continue alright?" Ruri'iro answered, sitting under one of the many ice trees and putting his back to it's trunk, smiling warmly, "You're doing a great job Aurora, for a clan member who is mostly self taught on our clan techniques, I'm amazed at your progress from when I found you. I hope you are doing well in Yukigakure," he finally said. It was true, she did come a long way from the little girl that was barely clinging onto life in the frozen wastelands that they now call home, "How is living by yourself? I know since you don't have any immediate family to live with, you are living in your own apartment."
And she is living off of personal checks from him so she didn't get sent to the orphanage in the village or is forced to live with somebody she didn't like.

Aurora Yuki Hatake Aurora beamed when Ruri’iro praised her. “Thank you sensei. I try my hardest and best.” She said. It was true; back in Konaha she was teased for not being able to perform ninjutsu until a later age. Usually it ended with her face in a muddy puddle. The moment she found out she had the ability to make water to ice and back again, she practiced day a night until she passed out from lack of sleep and eating. Her father of course had been worried but was proud of her improvement. When he asked if she was doing alright at home, she got a sad look for a moment. She missed going home and having someone there to greet her. She quickly smiled, but there was a sadness to it. “It’s actually fine. But sometimes…”she trailed off. Don't be rude! She didn’t want to sound like she didn’t appreciate everything he had done for her. “I really like Yukigakure though. I haven’t had a single problem with anyone here.” She quickly changed the subject.

Thoughts: Time for Professor Yuki to show his stuff!
Chakra: 70%%.Ruri'iro laughed a little, but something in her response intrigued him. She hesitated a little bit before she continued. Was she hiding something from Ruri'iro? It mattered, but he can ask her later once they were done with training. Which he figured they rested long enough to accomplish. He may be the Yukikage, but among the Five, he was certainly the one with the least amount of chakra. As such, he also had the least amount of sustaining power in a fight. But he had near perfect chakra control on his side, so at the very least, he'll waste nothing when using his abilities.
"It's very nice to hear you appreciate everything that I have tried to do to make your stay in Yukigakure as comfortable as can be. And I hope you will do your part to make this village into a shining jewel in the blizzards of the Snow Country. A refuge for all who need to get away from Winter's claws."
He said with great confidence, "Now, shall we finish up your training? I feel I need to do something in town before I go back to the boring paperwork."

THE DEVIL'S RIGHT-HAND MANxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxＹＵＫＩＧＡＫＵＲＥ ＪＯＵＮＩＮ
Zael watched Ruri'iro speak with the young girl from afar as he walked towards them. He watched in slight shocked interest at the way he was treating her; with his bright, annoying smile and his ugly hair. If he didn't want to be mistaken for a girl, why the hell doesn't he just cut it? Zael brushed off his annoying thoughts as he gripped the box tighter in his hand. A smirk played on his lips at he neared the two, but it disappeared as soon as it arrived, forming his mouth into a straight line.
"Oi, pretty boy" Zael called in his deep, silky voice. "How much do ya think someone'll pay for this? I can't get it open, but I'm sure this is gold lining on the rims." Zael was completely oblivious to the contents of the box and he was tossing the important item up in the air and catching it with one hand, treating it like it was a toy.
