Zar had returned his gaze to the water and trying to steel himself into actually going in when someone rudely invaded his personal space bubble, draping across his shoulders in a way that made him freeze up, wide eyed. Okay, maybe he did recognise the voice after all. "Nahm?" he asked sternly, everything about his tone scolding and irritable.
Of course his tail as always completely ignored him and looped lazily around the other boil in greeting.

She recognized the voice, since she'd never seen Nahm that naked in her life. "Hola, Senor Nahm! Is there a shallow pool in here?" she asked. "I do not know how to swim--I am from the desert," she added, looking at all the pools curiously. "Oh, do we undress here?" she asked, distracted. "I am wearing my suit under my clothes."
She was excited! But a little nervous all at the same time, since she only recognized Nahm--and that was Demi, right?

"You're gonna make me think you're not happy to see me." Nahm grinned and leaned on Zar's shoulder. Personal space bubble? What's that? His tail flicked up to greet Zar's.
"Yep! Try the far side for shallow," Nahm instructed Terra cheerfully. "There's a shadowy spot over there if you're shy, but hey, I got no problem."

Zar crossed his arms. "That's the idea. I don't take kindly to physical harassments" he said coolly. "I don't know why I came out, I don't even like water." He stared at the water again, frowning. His tail though, twined about Nahm's until he noticed what it was up to and turned to sigh at it. "One day, I'm getting that thing removed."

"Hot springs are a fantastic way to pass the time." Nahm slid from Zar's shoulder down into the warm water, his movements easy and fluid, letting out an exaggerated pleased sigh and flicking a teasing grin up at the demon. His tail tugged encouragingly at Zar's tail. He ignored the statement about harassments completely.
"Aw, but mine likes it," he protested.

"A fantastic way to waste time." he reprimanded, wasting time was practically a crime as far as he was concerned normally. That inner voice dismissed it, this wasn't time wasting, time wasting was being someone else's slave in his room all day filling in forms. That was what time wasting was.
He slid into the water, half led by his tail, tensing up as if simply touching too much of the water would make him just dissolve like acid, flighty and terrified. He even held his breath. But it was up to his chest, and he was alive, it was simply warm and comfortable, it didn't hurt, it didn't burn. He relaxed a little, possibly the first time he'd relaxed his posture in months.
"It is not as bad as I thought." he grudgingly admitted.

"Relaxing occasionally isn't a waste," Nahm argued, smiling slyly. "Scheduling time to rest, relax, and socialize will help you maintain your energy reserves for other types of productivity." Did he believe that? Possibly. It was also possible that he was taking up the stance for the sake of the debate.

Zar narrowed his eyes challengingly. "You mistake me for someone who needs to maintain energy reserves. My energy is boundless." It was no secret he took great pride in his capacity to work non stop, he was just recently starting to wonder if it was truly a skill or simply a high threshold for torture. Either way it was effective. "I don't need breaks, and networking. Well. Networking often ends.." he waved a hand vaguely. "Shenanigans."

"Need and want are different categories," Nahm said, and propped his elbows on the edge of the spring, stretching out in the warm water. "Would you agree that a worker who's enjoying his job is more likely to be efficient and useful?" He tipped a playful grin at Zar.

"Wants are simply the weaknesses of lesser creatures. Wants are the business of demons, not what they are subject to. A demon with a vice is no better than their prey, like a hunter with a penchant for grazing. Needs are all that are relevant." He felt like he was trying to convince two people rather than one.
"I will concede a happy worker may display a greater than average degree of efficiency, but I am not a conventional worker. I am always efficient. Always." Adapting to the water more and more, Zar seemed to shed some of the worry he'd been carrying around, tail relinquishing its grip in favour of sprawling behind him, in a single powerful flex giving him momentum to the side himself, drumming one set of claws on the edge while the other hand propped up his chin.
"I don't follow the conventional business rules. I make the rules."

"Well, then," Nahm said, his grin opening all the way out to his ears, "if you're making the rules, then who's to say that the rules can't include times when certain demons can't be bothered because they're busy with pursuits that other creatures certainly aren't important enough to interrupt?" His tail flexed lazily under the water, its tip opening briefly until he noticed what it was doing and frowned at it until the stinger slid back out of sight.

Lily had managed to come across a poster or two and having remembered the location from several months prior; was more than eager to return again. A bathing suit though? That took a bit of badgering her brother and funds, but in the end the results were worth it(but in lavender). She felt almost out of place as she followed the lights down the familiar trail... and was greeted by very unfamiliar faces.
Lily smiled all the same, new faces was what she hoped for! "Hi!" she cheered at no one in particular.

That made sense. It actually did. If he was ever to be in charge who said he couldn't rewrite the rules as he saw fit? It wouldn't be a weakness but a choice, and that was what ultimately made all the difference. "You have a point. Perhaps that's what I will reclassify this present time as then. Recreationally designated time. Because I feel like it." If his father had a problem with it, he could take a long walk off a very short pier, he'd already sacrificed huge swathes of his time to running in circles for the sake of a business he reaped no benefits from and with not a single scrap of gratitude for his time.
He stretched with a creak of sinew. "Yes. I like the sound of that. Recreational time." a second familiar voice caught his attention this time and his gaze flitted over to the ghoul who'd just entered, recognising he almost immediately, even dressed so differently. His smile broadened perceptibly. He gave her a wave from the springs.

Sibyl, the self proclaimed welcoming committee for everything ever, was the first one to spot the new ghoul. "HIIIIIII!" She called out and waved, hurrying over to the pretty ghoul. "Hi! I'm Sibyl!" Because she totally didn't already say hi.

Lily had just barely caught eyes with Zar and her smile grew slightly. One familiar face was certainly nice and she offered him a small wave for his efforts. Her attention was suddenly ripped from him and onto this strange... ghoul? Is that right? Yes. Yes, it is. Lily smiled back, "I'm Lily!"
