She gripped the front of his shirt and sobbed. "I thought I had lost you! I'm so sorry." she cried into his chest.

Shiryō chuckled softly. "For a while, you nearly had; when that demonic summon took out my helmet, it also left me with a little reminder, which nearly killed me from blood loss," he said mildly with a faint smile as he shifted the vest aside to reveal a deep slashing scar that ran from his right shoulder to just below his sternum.

"I could probably get rid of it for you." she said quietly as she looked up at him. She was just so happy to have him back. She leaned up and placed a gentle kiss on his jaw. "I missed you"

Shiryō tilted his head as he hugged Susan with one arm. "As did I you," he said quietly with amusement. "The scar will remind me to be cautious rather than rushing in like usual," he said quietly, knowing Susan would know what he meant. He saw Sakura looking between him and Susan before she spoke slowly. "I thought you were in love with..." she started as Shiryō cocked an eyebrow. "Sakura, I like you as a friend, but nothing more. As to love, I already found it though for a time I had forgotten it," Shiryō said dryly, shrugging one shoulder.

"Maybe it'll protect me from losing you again." she murmured before resting her head on his chest, listening to the reassuring sound of his heart to confirm that this wasn't just the dream she had had so many times before.

Shiryō tilted his head as he kissed her back. A low chuckle escaped him as he thought of something that would surprise her. "What if I told you that I picked up a few interesting habits while here?" he said quietly with a playful note in his voice. He knew her natural curiosity would draw her to ask what he meant.

Shiryō shifted into a crouching position, glancing at a nearby tunnel he'd explored not long before Susan had shown up. "Come on, I'll show you," he said quietly as he shifted into a standing stance. He had a feeling that she'd want a way to relax, and personally, he got the feeling it wouldn't be likely here with the soldiers so close. Fortunately, he'd found something he knew would interest Susan, and the kunoichi too, if they knew about what he'd found. He walked towards the tunnel he'd glanced at, fairly sure Susan would follow. I think she'll be interested in this, he thought.

She paused before stepping in and turned to Jacob, sending him and the rest of the soldiers a look that clearly said he was in charge. They all nodded and she smiled before turning and following Shiryo into the tunnel. She jogged a few steps to catch up to him and when she reached him she took his hand. "I missed this." she sighed happily.

Shiryō chuckled softly as he let Susan take his hand. "As did I; during the time I've been here, I've learned some very interesting tricks, such as this... Raiton: Denkyū," he said as a sphere of concentrated bluish white lightning formed from a slight bluish aura around his left palm and fingers. It was merely to cast light over the dirt and obsidian tunnel. As they walked, subtle shimers of green, amber, blue, red, and gold light began to show from veins of gemstones and precious metals. He tilted his head as wisps of steam began showing themselves as they reached a cavern below that revealed a pool of steaming water: a natural hot spring.

She felt as the temperature slowly started to rise and when the hot springs were revealed she let out a soft sigh. She turned to look at Shiryo as memories of other hot spring with him came back. "Can we?"
