Doctor Gray nodded, then moved out of the way so that the guards could do their job. As the men led CJ and Arell out of their cell, she looked to Joker. She had to admit, she wasn't used to seeing him look so... normal. But she wasn't going to let that throw her off. She motioned for a few of the other guards to get Joker ready to move out as well.

"Take Mister Arell to Room 207, and Mister... CJ to room 220. Right across from each other." she said to the guards, then turned towards the ones taking care of Joker. "You know the room to take him to. Watch over him until I can see to him."

With that, she turned to lead them all down the hall and through the doors to the waiting rooms. Past Gossamer's cell of course. Before they reached her cell... more specifically Joker... a man opened the door, followed by blaring music. Doctor Gray grimmaced and looked towards the man. "Don't tell me..."

"Someone gave him a radio. Again." the man replied.

"What good is high-isolation if no one keeps away from his cell?" she growled.

The man shrugged, then continued to walk past them. Gray frowned deeply and continued to walk through the doors to hold it open for the guards and other men. Gossamer, now standing upright, was half leaning against the wall of her cell. Watching the small parade of guards pass by her as music rang out from the other side of the doors.

She watched, not recognizing any of the men that passed by her. Not even the one man who caught her eye the most. Some... white-skinned man with green hair and a prominent nose and chin. He definately stood out in a crowd... but she certainly couldn't recall ever meeting the man.

"Now why you grittin' your teeth? Frustration, baby you gots to breath. Take a lot more than YOU to get ridda' me. You see I do what they can't do I just~" the music rang out as the clown was fully in view of Gossamer's cell.

Despite the song playing in his cell, Joker seemed unfocused. That is, until he turned his head to look into Gossamer's cell. "WHAT?!?" the clown exclaimed, stopping in his tracks, extreme confusion flooding his face, "There is no way! I saw... But I... You were..."

Then, his smile returned. "You..." he said, his voice dripping with sadistic purpose, "I'll be seeing you later. Count on it."

Practically everyone who was around Joker jumped at his outburst. The guards jumped at his sudden stop and shout. Doctor Gray jumped at the sudden outburst, and stared at his reaction to the woman on the other side of the glass cell. And Gossamer jumped because... well she sure as hell wasn't expecting that kind of a reaction from someone she'd never met before.

She stared at the man, wide-eyed, and with nearly as much confusion on her face as Joker had moments ago. It was quite clear that she didn't know why he had acted that way just from seeing her. The guards motioned for Joker to keep moving, as did the other guards with Arell and CJ. Gossamer moved to the edge of the glass wall to stare, watching Joker leave through the doors and into the hall.

Doctor Gray stood there another moment, slightly puzzled. She looked to Gossamer, and Gossamer looked back to her. Dumbfounded.

"....don't look at me." Gossamer said. "Normally I've at least mocked someone before I make a 'new friend' that quickly." she said.

Gray blinked again, then shooke her head and moved to follow her patients down the hall.

Joker begrudgingly complied with the guards' orders. He'd been thinking about escaping later in the week, but it looked like he was going to need to stay longer now. This... THIS... situation needed to be rectified.

Then, as if to to show that the Universe really wasn't taking any prisoners today, he overheard Gossamer refer to him as a 'new friend.' There was nothing 'new' about their relationship. Could it be that she doesn't remember? The Joker's face had resumed its serious composition; he needed to think.

"Anything you'd care to talk about?" Doctor Gray asked as she caught up to the guards. At this point she wasn't sure who she was going to meet with first. She had intended on seeing the two men first. But.... she had to admit that she was intrigued...

"Yeah yeah yeah, pay no attention to the sadistic clown flipping out at somebody who crashed a Halloween party I was at. Whatever you say, officer." C.J. said as he kept walking. He seemed to have a lot burning on his brain . . . not like the Joker, who seemed unfocused prior 'til he saw Gossamer, but a little TOO focused. A sneer was on his face that almost made him look like a younger Jerry Lee Lewis. Stopping to pick up his hat where it fell earlier, he got it just before he got nudged onward by the guard escorting him. Putting it on his head, they kept going. Another guard tried to take it, but C.J. turned around and knocked him on the ground. Struggling to stop, he glared at the guard.

"Son, I had a REALLY bad week ending up with us at this rat-hole. I HIGHLY advise that I keep the hat, so you can keep your a**. Got me?" he snarled. Two more guards put the cuffs on him before he could do anymore damage, but it was clear that whatever it was he had focused on, burned him up.

Dundee kept walking, holding a bemused look after C.J. cold-cocked the guard who tried to take his ball cap . . . and how nobody else seemed to want to try it afterwards. . . . and the Bat-fam said I was hard to deal with! he thought. Kinda laid-back about the whole thing, he shot Dun' a death-glare when they passed, but kept going pretty easily until they got to the rooms. "Ceej, you KNOW I taught you how t' throw a proper punch, bud. Next time, follow through, che'!" Arell ribbed, as C.J. chuckled slightly.

"It's all good, 'Rell. Wasn't tryin' to hurt 'im, just makin' sure that sumbitch didn't steal my luck." C.J. replied, settling into their rooms. Up the path, they could hear Dundee talking to someone on the payphone. He didn't quite get a name, but he could figure who he was talking to . . . causing the Marylander to growl a little bit.

I tried to take care of the guy who was after her, and THIS is the thanks I get! he thought.

Well, you did chainsaw up what's-his-name.

"Meh, how else do ya think I'd get in here? They keep Deadpool on the streets!"

True, but he's established. We're guns for hire.

"So's he!"

True . . .

// Don't want to move Gray too much until Joker has a chance to reply or get settled into his cell. But... I have a feeling I know who Dun's calling. //

Doctor Gray frowned as she glanced past Joker and towards the two other men. The guards led the two me into their rooms to wait for her, and another guard helped the man who had been clocked for touching CJ's hat. She was going to have her hands full...

"I told'ja" a woman said from the other end of the phone that Dundee was on. "She 'aint seein' or talkin' to nobody. Right now she in da middle of taken care ah her babies. She ain't got time to talk on da'-"

"You said it was someone named Dundee?" another voice asked from further back in the room. A baby was softly crying from somewhere in the background as well.

"Yeah, you know 'em?"

"Yes. I'll take the call." the other woman replied, then the phone was shuffled about. "He's been fed... I think he's needing his nap." she continued, her voice clear now that she was closer to the phone. She sounded... tired. Quiet and soft-spoken. After another moment, she spoke again. This time to the man on the other end of the phone.
"Dundee?" Misty asked gently. "You're lucky I haven't gotten rid of my cell phone yet. We don't have a phone or anything down here. Probably won't."

As the guards and the technicians moved Rogue and the machinery she was strapped to down one of the wide hallways, the Southern mutant could hear the anguished cries of various inmates at Arkham. It sounded like.... these people were being tortured in here. Next, Rogue saw an inmate being moved -- with half of a normal face and the other half disfigured, What de heck is this!?!? Silent Hill!?!?

The level of panic slowly began to rise in Marie, once she saw that and where she was going. Two long rows of holding cells secured by thick steel doors that reminded Marie of bank vault doors framed the long hallway she traveled through. Upon seeing the words 'Solitary Confinement' on a sign the just passed, panic began to rise within the Southern mutant.

Even though Rogue was beginning to panic straining on her bonds, she kept her visage calm and focused. That was how she was trying to cope, putting her thoughts into that kind of persona. Rogue then began to hear the voice of Professor Charles Xavier coming up from the recesses of her mind, a 'echo' of one of many people Rogue has absorbed in her life, Take it easy, Rogue. Focus on the layout. Shut out everything else.

That thought calmed Rogue back down, and she now tried to memorize the pathway in this facility.....

((Sounds fair enough. Just let it roll. Good guess though.))

Dundee paused and waited, stuttering when the woman had given him the information until the other woman had been given the phone.

"I can understand, I just need your help . . . reckon I'm probably one of the last guys you would expect, but . . . we had to take C.J. into Arkham. Dr. Gray and I need you to come up here and have a word with us about a few things. Don't worry about Savage though" he said, taking a pause. If this was gonna go over so well, he DREADED having to make the next call.

C.J. on the other hand, was paused in thought, thinking back to that showdown that led him here.

"Time for the rewind button! God, I can't wait to see this!"

Err, okay!

New York City, Midnight

((Hope you don't mind I'm "borrowing" Savage for a memory scene, CBJ . . . I'll give him back!)

Two weeks. It took TWO WEEKS for him to track the man who was Savage down. It was like a scene out of some western. He had disguised himself as a delivery boy with a message for the multi-millionaire caveman. Tailing him to the upscale side of town, his foe was now in his sights.

"Mr. Savage! Delivery for you!" he said, getting the man's attention.

"Well? Where is it? What is it? You clearly have interrupted my work! Can't you see I'm on the way to a business meeting?" Savage asked, rudely accosting the "delivery boy" . . . until he took off his uniform, revealing himself.

"Best tell 'em you're gonna be late. I've come for you, Savage." Benoit drawled. Savage looking at the man funny.

"Don't I know you?" Savage asked before Benoit got ready to lunge.

"I'm the man who saved Misty . . . and the one who's gonna KICK YOUR a**!" C.J. growled before throwing a punch. Facing a master tactics expert, that was usually a bad idea, he sidestepped, grabbed Benoit's arm and sent him flying.

"You fool. I have no time for this nonsense. I have a mee-!!" his words cut off from C.J. using the inertia to spring back and send a powerful punch to the caveman's stomach, knocking him down.

"You got time t' harass that poor girl, you got time to die, boy." C.J. growled, spitting in Savage's face as a crowd started to form around the two. Insulted, Savage got up, tossing the Marylander off him.

"For your insolence, I shall see you dead . . . and I do believe I'm not the boy here." Savage calmly said as C.J. cracked his knuckles.

"Well, at least we can agree on one thing, ya baby-eatin' b*****d . . ." C.J. drawled, the two circling like sharks. The police had yet to arrive to the scene. "Two of us entered this ring, only ONE's comin' out!" he replied before the two charged each other.

ARKHAM, PRESENT DAY

C.J. snapped himself out of the memory, smirking. I got 'im, Misty. he thought, taking off his hat (being cuffed to the front made it easy) to reveal why he was REALLY so protective of that hat.

He stored a picture he had of him and Misty together in the band of the hat . . . it looked like it was from a holiday party two-three years prior. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked down at the picture. "I got 'im, Misty. Lost it all, but I got 'im. Just like I said . . ." he said softly.

Arell paused and watched C.J. from across the hall. It pained him to see his friend in such a dire strait, despite going down that road himself.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 24, 2013 9:38 pm

(( Eh, I'll let it fly. I had no intention of ever introducing him here, anyways. ))

Joker smiled for the first time since seeing Gossamer when Dr. Gray spoke to him. "Patience, doc. You know how much I like my confidentiality." Slowly recovering his usual self, he allowed himself to be led to wherever the good doctor wished to conduct the interview.

// Woof, now I've really got some posting to do. XD. I'll try to split these up into two separate posts so that it's easier to keep track of who is where. I'll have Gray deal with Joker first, since she'd probably want to get him out of the way. CJ and Dundee will have something to do in the meantime though. 3nodding //

THERAPY HALLWAY

Doctor Gray frowned a bit to herself. "Very well then." she replied, then turned to the guards escorting Joker. "Take him over to that room. I'll be in momentarily." she said.

The guards nodded, then escorted the clown to the room to get him settled in. There was a bit of a routine for setting up the more notorious inmates. It would take them a minute or two to get Joker locked up to his seat. Less of a chance for him to jump up and try anything with a doctor that had never treated him before.

Gray watched them leave, then watched as the other guards set up Arell and CJ. She sighed a little to herself, then glanced down at her clipboard. It would probably be best to deal with the Joker first. Sooner she got that out of the way, the better she would feel. Then again... she had told the two men that she'd see them right after she'd spoken to Dundee...

Hearing movement, she looked up to see a small group of people walking out of another waiting office. Doctor Mattis and the newer Doctor were walking out of one room. Behind them was a female inmate that Gray had never seen before. Her hands were cuffed, and her unbrushed brown hair was curled about the orange jumpsuit. The woman looked up at Gray for just a moment, letting the woman see the long scar running across her face. Then she lost interest and turned her gaze back down towards the floor. A single guard followed the three out of the room, and escorted the woman down the hall with them.

"Ah, Doctor Gray." Doctor Mattis greeted. "Nice to see you again. Usually you're never out of your office. Finally have a patient again?"

Gray chuckled uneasily. "You have no idea. Where are the other doctors?"

Weekend." Mattis replied, waving his hand dismissively. "The older ones want to be with their family, and the younger ones want to go out."

"Partying?" Gray asked, arching a brow.

"Some... others like to go out and profile strangers for fun." he said with a grin. "Kids these days..."

"Yes, well... I have my hands full tonight." Gray said as the group of them walked up to her and stopped. The younger Doctor walked up and stopped beside Mattis. The older man introduced him, then let Gray fill him in on what patients she had to look after right now.

The woman... Misty Blackstone as she had been identified as... stopped behind the two Doctors to wait. The guard apparently didn't know what cell to take her to, so he didn't lead her on. She had been more than cooperative about being transferred thus far, so no one was worried about the woman 'acting up'.

Unbeknownst to the group, she was stopped just between the two rooms holding Arell and CJ. Allowing them both a clear view of her... how closely she resembled the woman in CJ's photograph.

========================================

There was a long pause from the other end of the telephone. "Arkham...?" Misty said quietly, surprise clear in her voice. "I... what happened? Why is he there?" she asked. Surprise slowly turning into concern in her tone. There was another quick beat of silence, and suddenly Misty spoke up again before Dundee could reply. "Wait, I can't." she said. "I-I-I can't. I can't leave here. I can't just leave them here, even if it is with Marietta. I can't risk Savage or Fisk or..."

========================================

And then a BLAST of music erupted from the other end of the hallway. Misty jumped a bit at the sudden sound that came through the phone... and the group still standing in the hallway definitely jumped.

All three Doctors turned to look down the end of the hall. The music had been coming from Solitary. Gray had already been informed of what the cause of it was, but Mattis hadn't been yet.

"Good God, what is going on?" he growled, the music suddenly ending.

"Vice." Gray replied. "Apparently someone didn't pay attention to how close they got to his cell. So far we've had a guard fight with other guards, one fall asleep while on watch, one just leave to have lunch break, and three guards do whatever he asked for. This is the second time someone's given him a radio to listen to in his cell."

There was a commotion from that end of the hall, and suddenly more guards began to run past them and down towards Solitary.

Gray frowned. "Looks like we'd better move inside for a bit. Will you help me out with the two of them?" she asked.

Mattis smiled and nodded. "Of course. You be careful in there with you-know-who." he replied.

Gray nodded, then made her way towards Joker's room and disappeared inside.

Mattis smiled and turned his attention back towards Stevens and Blackstone. He frowned a little, noting how skittish the woman was with all of the guards running past them and down the hall. "....... Stevens? Why don't you and Miss Blackstone keep that man company while I have a little smoke break with Arell."

Stevens blinked and looked up at the older man. "A...alone?" he asked.

Mattis nodded. "There's still a guard in the room. You'll be fine. It'll give you a little bit of experience being on your own with a patient. And..." he said, looking over at Misty. "I believe she'd feel better waiting inside until all the commotion dies down. It'll probably be busy in the hall."

Doctor Stevens paused a moment, then turned to look at the woman. He frowned a bit, also noting how nervous she looked. "Alright... Lets go in and keep this man company for a minute." he said, leading Misty and the guard to the room next to them.

Mattis smiled, then gently turned and started for Arell's room. He could do with a smoke break himself.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 10:24 am

By the time Dr. Gray entered the room, Joker had already been restrained in a chair designed for just such occasions as this; there were built-in wrist straps that buckled tightly around the clown's wrists, as well as similar straps on the front legs of the chair for his ankles.

Seeing her, the Ace of Knaves said, with an almost innocent smile,
"You know, I remember volunteering to talk. You didn't need to bring me into an interrogation room."

"I know." Doctor Gray replied gently, moving to the chair opposite of the Joker to sit down. "Unfortunately you've given other Doctors enough surprises that there's a protocol that we have to follow when we meet with you." she said, then layed her clip board filled with papers on the table in front of her. "So... what is it you would like to talk about? It's not often you want a second opinion on something."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 25, 2013 10:46 am

((Sounds fair enough. smile Here's where it gets FUN!))

"I can send back to make sure the fellas at HQ to handle them. I can explain everything if you can make it. Long story short, he had a go at Savage . . . it got ugly . . . and we got involved. He told me Fisk was next before I shoved him into the van." Dundee explained carefully, trying to make sure he didn't mention the stuff that even made HIM queasy . . . like C.J. holding Savage's head up and screaming "WHO'S NEXT?!" at the top of his lungs. It was nasty watching the guy snap. But it wa- HEY!

"HELLO?! Got fired and dumped on the same day! Then I ran into THAT a*****e. OF COURSE I WAS GONNA GREASE THAT CONNIVING LITTLE WEASEL!"

Little?!? Savage is taller than WE are!! AND YOU KILLED HIM IN A PSYCHOPATHIC MANNER! Half the NATIONAL GUARD came after you!!!

"Worth it!"

*facepalm* HELP! My alter-ego's an axe-crazy psychopath!

"That's SEÑOR axe-crazy psy-key-o-path to YOU, boyo!"

Dundee sighed and looked at the phone. "Well, I hope we can get this sorted out. He's kinda gone off the deep end without you." he mentioned. Probably shouldn't have, but if he hadn't before, he was gonna now.

C.J. looked up from putting the photo back in his hat to see . . . Misty?! THAT NO-GOOD DIRTY-ROTTEN HEART-SMASHIN' ***** OF A **** **** **************************** *******!!!!!!!! he thought, clearly his frustration turning from heartbreak to utter rage was about as fast as ever. (and even going to the point in profanity where even I, the writer, refuse to put it to print, unless the rating here wants to jump from PG-13 to NC-17 in thirty seconds flat!) " . . . . well, well. Glad to see I got company in being CRACKED." C.J. growled, almot spitting the last word out of his mouth. It was mighty clear clear that Joker wasn't the ONLY one having issues about just who was stored in that asylum. Only differences being the sides they were on and the looks.

Arell looked over and saw it, too . . . if that was the Misty he and C.J. knew, he was ready to cuss her out until he was blue in the face for what she did to his little buddy. However, being a bit more of a Southern Gentleman, he chose not to say it. After all, it looked like C.J. was about two-steps away from doing the job himself, and he could use blowing off a little steam . . . as if chainsawing Savage and punching out a guard didn't do that already.

Opening the door for Dr. Mattis with a smirk. "Guess you da new doc' 'ssigned fer Ceej an' I, che'?" Arell asked.

There was another long pause from the other end of the phone.

"...is he alright?" Misty asked quietly. Genuine concern in her voice.

"I... I can try to come if... if you can help make sure that the twins will be taken care of. I can come up at any time then." she said, then paused a moment. "If...*sigh* ... if you can get me some transportation up there, it would help me get up there as soon as possible. Any money I have is pretty much going to the twins and Marietta for her help. I don't really have any way of making a trip away from here."

=============================================

Doctor Stevens blinked back at CJ. "There's really no need to be upset." he replied, having no idea why CJ had taken a turn in temperament. "We're just here to keep you company if you want. Doctor Gray is going to see to the Joker first. He's really not a good patient to leave unattended."

The woman stood behind the Doctor, looking out the door that had been closed behind them. Watching nervously as the guards ran down the hall towards the Solitary Confinement area. She didn't seem to very interested in CJ, or even acknowledge that he had been addressing her.

==========================

Doctor Mattis smiled at Arell as he walked into the room. Waiting for Arell to close the door behind him. There were far too many guards in the hall to worry about the man slipping out and making a run for it.

"Partially. Miss Gray has a full plate right now. I'm far more used to tending to multiple patients, so Doctor Stevens and I will be assisting her with you and your friend. This will help Doctor Gray get a bit of a break now and then... Doctor Stevens is new here, and I would prefer he begin with some patients that he isn't afraid will kill him at the first opportunity. And I..." he said, then pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his lab coat. "Can't go a day without one of these myself." he said with a grin, then offered Arell the box to take one. "We'll just have to crack the window and stand by it. It's really the only way to have a smoke break indoors."
