He crossed his arms, clutching the fabric as he leaned back. Rep was right to assume not to lecture too much as he already had. Melvin was at his limit for the previous topic and already decided it needed to be dropped. Most of all, he already felt the rising regret in even being forced into a corner to say something in the first place.
"So there will be a rot room." That was a yes. "Your idea of a perk is really weird, you know that?"
But his interest was there. "So there are labs. I guess even a base in the middle of the wilderness would have an Infirmary of some sort and even something to collect data to justify making a base out there." And Rep, as good as computers as he was, probably didn't know how some machines worked. "It would be interesting if anything in those labs survived, or even some written data was left...." Was there a little ice-covered treasure trove of information out there? Now THAT was a perk.

"To each their own." he said with a smirk, he liked furs, the rot and decay was worth it for the final product and the trophy combined with luxury that was the resultant clothing. "If I'm weird I don't want to be normal. Normal and furless."
He smirked. "There's labs. It was an outpost, they wanted to test s**t. You could look about."

Melvin had to believe that Rep would be on some PETA Most Wanted list somewhere, and imagined him killing someone who doused him in red paint. There were upsides to keeping Rep away from the general populace, and he doubted he'd get in too much trouble in the Arctic.
"Sounds interesting. Whenever you head over, I think I'll tag along." Melvin leaned over, opening his hand to take the tablet back. "I have work here to do in the meantime." Yes, Rep. You had to let the tablet go now.
