Counter Attack
Needs a 14 to hit Jerarda.
Attack: 12 + 4 = 16, hits
Dmg: 19 + 4 = 23/4 = 5.75 dmg
Chalcedony's HP: 12.375/23
The battle went from a lot of dodging back and forth to an exchange of small, clipping attacks that were bound to leave the two of them rather bruised up. When her spear came at him he moved to the side, getting winged once more in the arm, before he lunged to once more throw his weight into his shield and shield into the much taller woman. It was a dangerous sort of battle but it was one that he was rather enjoying. The more blows exchanged the better that he moved, as though he were learning the way that she moved, and hopefully how to move just a touch faster.

Jerarda tries to attack

Jerarda deals: (18+ 7)/2 = 12.5 dmg
Jerarda staggered back falling to one knee, gasping slightly as she tried to regain her breath. This shifter was stronger than she had anticipated, gaining a new respect for the shorter race. Winded she knew this would have to end quickly and with what energy she had left she brought her spear around to crash into the males legs.

The blow he received from the Alkidike woman sent his way was one that staggered him, causing him to stumble back a few steps, lifting a hand up to rub it against the spot that the spear had struck him. He drew in a deep breath, let it out slowly, then lunged for the warrior woman in an attempt to give her a tag back in return... but much to his disappointment he missed.

Another swing from the shifter and somehow he missed, how she wasn't sure as she was positive she didn't have enough energy to get back up again and was pretty sure she was going to be covered in bruises tomorrow. A vague attempt on her half to try and hit him back and she too missed...it was then it dawned on her. They were both...fairly exhausted. There was no sense in beating each other senseless. Giving a chuckle she used her spear to prop herself up.
"I think..it is best if we call it a draw...at the rate we are going shifter we will both be beaten into unconsciousness and let for the forest creatures to nibble on."

Chalcedony was rather relieved when the Alkidike missed him in turn, something that he had thought wouldn't happen since he felt a lot slower then he had been to start with. Suddenly she was telling him that it was best that they call it a draw, that the way they were going they would end up as food for the forest beasts. He shifted in place a moment, looking her over closely to make sure that it wasn't a trick, before he nodded and lowered his shield to the ground, stretching out all over once he was free of the weight of it, "Yeah, that is probably for the best." He said, rubbing his sore muscles, "Eesh, I am already sore... I can only imagine how I am gonna look once the bruises fade." He said, rubbing at one spot that he was sure was going to be one big, angry bruise in no time.
Turning to look at the woman he gave her a nod, "Thanks for the duel." He said, even though there wasn't a sure winner he was feeling good about how it had gone. He really did feel like he was getting better and better at battling. If the need for a real battle ever arose again he felt as though he might be able to hold his own. At least he hoped so. Reaching down he scoop his shield up once more, "Now... we go our separate ways in an amiable manner?" He asked of her, not sure what it was that she would do next.
