"Wow," Sam shifted feet slightly, so at least she could limp with some dignity, immediately tending to the crate first, whatever it was. She did the long-practiced scientific tradition of shaking it, though the object only made one hollow thud within, "It actually managed to stay in one piece." She sounded very much like she couldn't believe it herself as she pressed all sorts of stray clumps of hair down and rolled one sleeve up, enough to reveal the tip of an impressive looking ink dragon head tattooed on one arm.
Thankfully between the chaos and the defending the noises had died out somewhat. The Death Hunter pointed to the corners of the shed, where glowing white barrier daggers were erected. "That will keep us out of harm for a bit as the portal is set up, though I do have one thing to say-" She pursed her lips, disapproval written all over her face-
- As the portal back finally revealed itself and she turned to move into it first-
- "I guess size really does matter."
The Death Hunter was through the portal before Dakota could retort quite immediately.

"Well duh." Dakota puffed his chest proudly before deflating. Since the box made a clunk, he cocked his head and looked at it. "So what's in there? I can ask questions now right?" Bring on the kid questions. "Is it for Halloween conversion? Do you always do that?"
Slow down cowboy......
"Is that a compliment babe?"
WELL WAS IT?
"WAIT SAM COME BACK HERE!!" And then he followed out after her.

Sam was still inspecting the crate as Dakota filed through the portal, she tapped it a few times and then shook it again. Suspicious, she took out her Fear Scanner and propped it on top of the box, waiting for accurate readings
"Yeah," She reaffirmed, using her thumb and index finger to construct the world's tiniest violin, "Size really does matter. If you aint got it don't flaunt it." Occupied she tapped the crate a couple of times again.
