Paraeeeee Kay9214 If you do PvP, I'd suggest having very clear rules and protocol known by all, well ahead of time, maybe something with screenshots, and pre-ready rules on what occurs in case of forfeits, defaults, cheating, general chaos and misfortune, or whathaveyou. Either way, I play, and would try to be available to participate and/or help out in whatever you do! 3nodding Clear rules sounds perfect - all we need to do is make sure all participants adhere to them. Maybe we could have something like an entry fee, and those who break the rules...lose theirs? I don't know. Do you think we even need to enforce them, or forfeiting their chance to win a prize is enough? Sounds great! I'd love for you to help out, and perhaps take over yourself? I'm not very experienced with HoC or making rules, so I'll definitely take advantage of your presence and experience. I'd just like to wait for Spotted to give us the okay on this, and we can start outlining rules and whatnot. A safety deposit? Sounds clever! There'd have to be some sort of entry fee for the Guild to profit, I suppose? So, you'd get a portion back at the successful completion of your participation? Winner and runner up would get prized. I would suggest requiring the winner to take a screenshot of the final scores screen in case there is disagreement between the players on who wins. It would certainly cut down on some of the danger and uncertainty. Who would this be open to? Take over? That sounds like a lot of pressure and responsibility. redface I prefer sneaky supportive roles. redface

Sorry it took so long to reply!
I saw it yesterday, but I was on my iPad, which makes me lazy and not inclined to do anything, soo... xD
It sounds like a pretty cool idea, and it'll be a big tournament, I assume? (:
I think it might be a huge job to assemble a tournament like that, and it'll probably take more than 3 days. It might be better suited for a longer event, rather than the ball, with timezones and such, because it'll take a long time to assemble and play?

Okay okay okay. I know it's still school-swamped season, but I want to bring it to our attention. Contests need to be done. We haven't really done anything about this, but earlier in the year we got great suggestions.
It'll be super great if you guys took time to expand on those ideas and come up with a group of set contests we can work on, and then sign up for the contests.
It'll be best if we started doing the threads and stuff by the end of June.
I've got a guild we can use for our contests, and all that.

ALSO, PRIZES.
You guys don't have to donate the prizes. We have a good 3mil as of right now (and more, maybe) for prizes, since we don't have to pay for gfx. EVen if we have 6 contests (I doubt we'll have that much), there's 500k each.
So yeah. You can keep your inventory/gold if you want to run a contest, you don't have to supply prizes. (:

As I may have mentioned before, I am totally up for hosting an art contest. That would be totally awesome. :T I want people to draw Rapunzel.
Kind of like the jousting thing, we could have a luck-based game about... picking herbs? Or flowers? Like, they could roll a dice and they need to get a certain number to pick a certain herb, and they're looking for herbs to make... part of a potion to help Griffin finish the potion...??? Speculation????
As for "competing" against each other or a tournament, we could have... fencing? That seems like a very gentleman-ly sport, fitting for a rose garden. RNG, of course. Maybe croquet, too, like in Alice in Wonderland. With flamingos and hedgehogs and such. Chessie might object, though.

I'm actually warming up to the idea of running a contest (since I forgot to ask when I hosted the Easter event and had to run them all sweatdrop ). I still like my card game idea, but I have no clue where to begin. And I have a problem with prizes . . . I don't know what to give. Yay about not having to supply them! Still questing SC Agape. Also, I just wanted to add in a few of the other ideas that were mentioned before so you guys don't have to hunt for them. Oh, a card game idea sounds pretty interesting. Though how will it work? You might've explained it but I forgot.

To be honest, I really don't know. BRAINSTORM!!! I was hoping to base it off of what happened in Alice in Wonderland. You know, with the queen of hearts, the king of hearts, all the numbered cards, etc. Perhaps it could be an RNG? I really have no clue. Perhaps we'll just use one suit of cards (hearts) to make it one of the easier games. Um . . . maybe each card gives you a prize? If you take out the ace, you can roll one 12 sided die. A roll of 1 would correspond with a two of hearts and so on and so forth. A roll of 11 (the queen) means that . . . something bad happens? . . . they can't play anymore . . . or maybe the person has to do something (like post a funny picture or . . . something) before they get their prize. (Probably a good one) Me neither.

That would mean a lot of smaller prizes, but I think it'll be best to work with larger prizes to attract people.

Okay. Maybe only the queen of hearts gives you a prize? That's one out of 52, but there's not a 52-sided die . . . only 4,6,8,10,12,20,100. Maybe the magician thing, but then we'd need moderators since lots of people cheat with those guess-and-roll games. And again with the dice. Don't know how that card game thing would work . . . but after playing till the end of the Gaia Blackjack game I think we might could work something out. It reminds me so much of Pazaak from Star Wars . . . Any suggestions? Anyone?
