Ami's rather content expression fell into a grumpy nothingness. She was NOT being a mom.

Otto moseyed on over towards the layout of food, getting himself a grilled cheese and an apple. And of course, his juice.
He made himself very comfortable by the table, digging into his sandwich almost immediately.
Was it just him, or had Ami's rather rare moment of being content been squandered by Otto's attitude problem?

While Otto was busy eating like he hadn't seen food for weeks, Ami was judgmentally sipping her coffee. Maybe she would just sit a table over so nobody thought she was associated with Otto. Would that be rude? That was probably rude. It didn't stop her from thinking it.
Setting the cup down, she said, "It's not going anywhere Otto."

Otto glared until he was finished his mouthful, doing Ami at least that much courtesy by not complaining with his mouth full. "M'sorry, princess. Are my manners not good enough for ya?" He sassed with a raised brow, licking his lips clean and going in for another large bite from the grilled cheese.

A muffled yelp as Otto hunched over to clutch his shin. He nearly choked on is food before composing himself once more, hissing aloud; "Goddammit, Ami!"

"I don't know what you're talking about. Must've been an escaped minipet," Ami feigned, sipping on her coffee with a cocky smile on her face. Sometimes it was fun to tease.
A sigh and she sat more comfortably. "Can I ask you for advice?"

Otto gave the woman a baffled look, his blue eyes wide and in disbelief. "Y'wanna ask me fer advice?" He asked cautiously, sinking ack into his seat.
"Uh.. sure? Ask away.."

"You can't tell anyone. I will seriously release a minipet carriage into your room if you tell a soul, even Eva." Ami meant business. B U S I N E S S.
Her hands gripped a little tighter around her coffee mug, and she quietly said, "I'm uh ... dating someone now as well. I don't quite know how to go about it. Do I tell people? Do I keep it a secret?" She bit her lip, thinking for a long moment. Even she hadn't come up with a conclusion for this one.

"Okay, okay! Sheesh.." Otto huffed and awaited this bit of information he was being honored with.
So far, it didn't seem like something to be so private over. He was being threatened with minipets over this? But then again, Ami was even more private than Otto, and incredibly conservative. "Uuh.. guess its a matter'a preference. I don't like to blab about it much, but it don't bother me none if Eva goes around talkin' bout it." He scratched his head underneath his hat, raising a brow in thought.
"Is there anythin' else yer havin' trouble with? Don't tell me ya never had a boyfriend before.."

Ami nodded. Maybe it would be better if Lex was the one who told everyone? It would probably sound better coming from him than it did her. She was too shy and quiet to really make an impact. She couldn't even tell Otto for the first 3 pages of rp 40 or so minutes of their time together.
Then again, she couldn't just text Lex "tell everyone we're hitched," because she didn't ... want that either. She didn't want to be fiercely attached to Lex quite yet. A blustery sigh escaped her mouth. She didn't know what she wanted. All she knew was that in some way, shape or form, she wanted Lex.
"No," she refuted, "I've had more than that. We're not discussing it." The words were static and clearly implied that line of conversation was done.
She shook the emotion from her face and said, "I just ... it feels odd to have so many ... inclinations to hide it. I'm not ashamed of him, I just ... I don't know."

More than that? Was she married at some point? It was obvious she was not inclined to speak of it, and Otto wasn't one to force anyone to talk either. He shrugged lightly, and took up his juice.
"Well, I don't think ya gotta worry about makin' official announcements about it." Otto drawled, taking the plastic off of his straw with his teeth, spitting out the end of it into his hand. Because manners.
"So.. you and Lex, huh?" He mused, stabbing the juice box with his newly liberated straw. "S'alright if yer especially shy, if its him. He seems like he'd be more than willin' to pick up the slack on the outspoken side y'ain't got."

Ami cringed once more at Otto and his straw. His parents obviously hadn't taught him anything. Then again, maybe all teenage boys were like that. If she thought about Dakota, he probably ate like a pig. Not Gale though, Gale was perfect. Obviously.
She sputtered on her coffee, choking on a little bit of his as Otto hit her point blank. "W-Was it that obvious?"

Ami's frown became a tight lipped line. Seriously? Seriously? She thought she'd gone to such lengths to hide it too! Well ... maybe the date had been a bit obvious. Maybe the prolonged hours watching over Wilson's comatose body had been a bit obvious. Her uncontrollable blush probably didn't help anything either.
"Well ... yes, it's Lex. I think we're well suited ... like you said, I mean." A small smirk crossed her face. "You're pretty transparent too, loverboy." There might have been a wink. "I had to ask Eva a few weeks ago if you were dating yet."
